Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Very small buffet but the food quality is stupendous! My favorite Chinese place ever! My whole family loves it. Sushi is always fresh. Friendly staff. It isn't pretty or big but it's clean and the food is great! I would pick this over any restaurant on this side of town.

"DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT,PLEASE"! I took a very dear friend of mine to this establishment on March 3, 2015 for her Birthday. We arrived at approximately 8:15pm and received a sandy greeting asking if we were ordering "Take-Out". I politely said,"No, I wanted to treat my friend to a birthday dinner, may we have a booth for two please?" The waitress waved us off and told us to sit where we wanted. We found a booth, there was only one other table of four people there at the time. The buffet was an unappealing, dried up, inedible mess. We looked around for assistance only to find the staff setting themselves up in the back part of the restaurant with freshly prepared foods, steaming with a large bowls of food to fit a King gathering plates and utensils for their meals. My guest and I were completely ignored. I asked for a few things to be replaced so that we too, could sit and enjoy a meal that i am paying for. We received hostility and harassment. What was replaced was lukewarm, hard and ill-prepared-some was was questionable. A waitress kept trying to take up our plates of salvageable food before we were done. 9:30, I was asked if I could get up and pay my bill. I remind you, they close at 10. At this time time, I was so disturbed, mistreated, neglected and harassed that I lost my appetite and paid the bill.(26.80). After paying the bill, the staff tore down the bars and the waitress stared at us with arms crossed waiting for us to leave. My guest was very upset and I was angry not believing the horror. I was in disbelief. Our meals unfinished, angry and appalled we left. On the sidewalk walking to our car ,I noticed that it was ONLY 9:48. I have never in my life, have such horrible treatment and lack of hospitality in my entire life. I AM NEVER GOING BACK AND STILL HAVE TO MAKE IT UP TO MY FRIEND.

Ate here today for the first time in years. Got in there in time to catch the lunch buffet price, $8. The food was okay but the selection seemed very slim and at least at this point in the day (it was after 3 when I was there) they didn't seem to replenish but I didn't see anything that was low get replenished. The wait staff was very attentive always keeping my drink filled so that's two stars right there. One star for the quality of the food/selection. It has been a while since I've eaten at a Chinese buffet for lunch but I don't remember it being $10 for everything. Next time I want a Chinese buffet I'll just go somewhere else that has better selection and better tasting food. Sorry East Garden but thanks to the nice waitresses for re filling my Pepsi even when there was still three quarters of it left. That's the kind of service I like but if lunch is $8 I'd hate to see the price for dinner.

This is my Asian buffet of choice here in C'ville. My favorites are the Thai curry and fried frog legs. Yes, the food are greasy and salty. But that is how Asian buffets are. The staff are very attentive. They even laughed at my husband's cheese jokes. I will definitely return again when I am too lazy to cook or have cravings for frog legs.

I love this place. I don't know how many times we've gone out looking for a good buffet place. Most of the other places in Charlottesville don't serve fresh enough food. I think that's because there's no one in Charlottesville, and so it's hard to maintain a good customer base when there aren't any. This place is a little smaller than most of your other places, but I think it's a good size for the population of Charlottesville. The food is always pretty fresh, as is the sushi. The desserts are bomb. And the overall selection is great. Everyone can find something that they like here.

Love getting the take-out buffet, food is not the best I've had, but pretty good when you have a Chinese craving.

Food was terrible. Tastes like it came out of a can.

DO NOT EAT HERE! A few years ago, I would have given this place a 4 star rating. It wasn't amazing, but the food was really good, good variety on the buffet, for a good price. I've been going there for years. But this afternoon was my last time eating here. Ever! I went with my friend and fiance for lunch and we were having a good time, we spent a lot of time talking and hanging around. We were in the middle of conversation when my fiance stopped and and said he had found not one, but TWO hairs in his food. They were two pube like hairs honestly. We decided to bring it up, because it's only logical that you shouldn't have to pay for that product? We brought it to the attention of the waitress, and she told us she'd grab the manager. The manager, Bob, came over and he was immediately very abrasive. He told us that it wasn't so uncommon, that it "is what it is" and then asked us exactly what we wanted him to do about it, like we were an inconvenience. I said what we wanted was to not have to pay for hair food? To which he replied, "nope, you ate the food, that's the bill. That's all I can do." My friend is a retail store manager, and said it was the most bizarre think she had experienced. Such an attitude. Seriously disappointed. Will never return.

One of the best Chinese buffet style restaurants I've ever been to. As many have said the sushi is great here and worth the money for that alone.

Definitely good enough, I have gone there for lunch and dinner many times, eight dollars for a lunch buffet that is unlimited Chinese, come on what are you people complaining about?

This is one of the best Chinese buffets in town -- great variety and tasty food. They're always packed at lunch, but run an efficient ship and get people in and out quickly. And the price is always right.

I went here with my boyfriend a little later in the dinner window on a Saturday evening. Maybe the food was better earlier in the evening, but things were overcooked and dried out a bit. It wasn't horrible at all, but I have definitely had better Chinese buffet. The price was very reasonable though. Under 30 dollars for 2 buffets and 2 drinks. We did not try the sushi, only the buffet. Also a petty thing: They only have Pepsi products, no Coke. I love a Coke with my Chinese, so this was a detraction for me, but probably isn't an issue for most folks.

visit on 5/29/2011 In general, buffets kind of scare me. Largely because I end up eating way too much trying to eat my money's worth. But partly because most food just doesn't fare very well sitting underneath a heat lamp for an extended amount of time. While this place has a pretty wide variety of "asian" food, none of it is really so good. Most of the dishes tend to be overcooked and soaked in a lot of sauce and grease. I will say, however, that the selection of sushi (nigiri and rolls) is decent. The fish may not be the freshest, but the cuts of fish and sushi rice is not bad. For the price, the sushi is not a bad deal.

The food was decent but not anything I'd go crazy about. The service was completely and utterly horrible. As SOON as I was walking to the table with my friends, one of the waitresses rudely walked past me while I was walking to my table without saying excuse me or anything (And yes, she did recognize me. Looked me right in the eye). She was in such a rush to get things done. Funny thing was that the place wasn't nearly busy at all. The same waitress then later got me a refill drink. I called and said make sure it's DIET Pepsi and not regular. She failed to do so and I got a regular Pepsi. I was really disappointed with her. Tip? I think not.
