Popeyes is expensive for what you get, and it's definitely not "fast," but what really got me today was that for the second time I was there, they did not have the habanero sauce they were promoting...the lame excuse they offered was that it was a temporary promotion...so why are you still promoting it?? Did not receive a receipt with my order. Menu is confusing, and employees don't seem to know what comes with a menu offering (like drinks, for example). It's clean and tastes good, and I'll probably go back sometime, but I am not inclined to come here more often because of these shortfalls.

Love that chicken from Popeyes! At least, that's what they tell us. Here's what I have to say. This is the first time I have eaten at a Popeyes location. I am always excited to try new chains, especially after seeing some commercials about their new butterfly shrimp. Rather than bore you with a lengthy review, I'll go over the pros and cons and let you decide for yourself: PROs: 1. Drive-Thru ordering is quick! 2. The food is always fresh! 3. The biscuits are delicious! 4. The price is right! 5. Everything is conveniently packed. CONs: 1. Drive-Thru communication is muddled due to poor speakers and a thick accent. 2. The reason the food is fresh is because they don't have any ready! Be prepared to wait 15min. 3. Everything else is rated on a scale between: Sucks - Mediocre. 4. Or so you thought, and then you receive your food, see how small the portions are, and notice you're also missing items you paid for. 5. Containers are smashed into the food and the plastic tops are broken due to pressure and heat, resulting in gravy spills that make you wonder if Popeyes is run by BP.

My 4 kids love the food here but I absolutely dread going here every time. They are famous for getting your order wrong one time I had ordered a family meal and I said mild chicken I got 15 minutes home and it was all spicy chicken try feeding that to a three-year-old a two year old a four year old and a 7 year old. And don't ever ask for gravy on the side you'll never get it, it will be right in the container with the mash potatoes and then they get angry when you ask them to switch it. Furthermore the drive thru isn't the fastest service, seven out of ten times I have to wait at least 15 minutes for my order with four screaming kids in the car. And the final straw for me as when I went there last and they only gave me two one time "courtesy" barbecue sauces when I asked for sauce for the chicken. After paying 40 bucks apparently I wasn't entitled to any of the free sauces because the sauces are only for chicken strips not pieces of chicken and I would have to pay for any additional sauce. Apparently they missed the memo that little kids like to dip chicken in sauce. This location completely lacks customer service skills. I can not believe that corporate has allowed this behavior continue for so long.

I once loved Popeyes Chicken....that is until I started eating it at the Ashburn, Virginia store. I've been there about 4 or 5 times in the last 6 months and two of those times, my order was wrong. Now here is what I found most confusing. When I made them aware of their error, they insisted that I was lying and that it was impossible for three Mexicans could get an order wrong....I guess arrogance and ignorance go hand-in-hand. Now I like a free meal like the next guy, but never by steal it. In fact, I'm one of those guys who will return money to a cashier if she mistakenly returns too much change, I give money to the homeless every day and I even send money overseas to the less fortunate. I then explained that after spending $45 at their establishment (I have a family of 6) it makes little sense why I would lie about 10 pieces of chicken and exhaust all of this time over a few dollars of food. This was about principle and trying to salvage our family dinner and not about getting 10 pieces of free chicken. The sad part is, the assistant manager, Jorge (BTW, looks like he's about 15 years old) took pleasure in victimizing me. Am I asking too much out of these unskilled workers? I mean, we all make mistakes, but real men learn from them and own them. It's kind of sad that Popeye's lost 6 customers (and as many people as we can to convince that the Ashburn, Virginia store doesn't deserve their business) over some punk kid having a chip on his shoulder about where he is in his life. Congratulations Popeyes, I hope stealing $6 or $7 from a paying customer was worth it...especially now that every time someone Googles "Popeye's Ashburn, Virginia", the potential customer will read this terrible review.

No prepared, the store had a few hours before closing and they had only food available like they didnt care. So if your planning to go there for dinner, I would advise calling them first and see what they have because if you drive up to them wanting to order they will not try to make what you want and just give what they have.

As Popeye's goes, this location should be considered a shrine. It is the only clean, well kept Popeye's I have ever seen anywhere in the country. I grew up on Popeye's and I learned to expect it was safer to take your food with you as you would never dare eat inside one. The biscuits and the red beans and rice are always perfect at this store. The staff have all been working here basically since it opened back a few years ago now and take pride in their customer service. When I used to live and work in Leesburg, I would drive past the Leesburg Popeye's to visit the Ashburn Popeye's. I wish I could clone this store and put one near my house inside the beltway!
