Great for breakfast and lunch. very quick and very very reasonably priced, especially the breakfast. Good variety of food and Jon is very friendly. perfect for this area as there aren't hardly any restaurants in rosslyn not on Lynn this side of the metro.

OK, I gave this place enough opportunities to redeem itself, but the customer service overall & the food just aren't going to cut it. I kept trying out the place because it was inexpensive, but somehow I kept getting "overcharged" for most everything I bought over my many visits. When the guy who's always at the cash register was questioned, he really was not willing to help or work it out & he's consistently unfriendly to me. I've never done or said anything to him to warrant that either. My guess is that there are two sets of prices--those for people who are liked & those that are not. Strong statement, I know, but my experiences there are enough to prevent my return. There are way too many other dining options in the area, and if I'm going to end up paying more for my food items anyway, I might as well get tastier, better quality & healthier fare. You might want to consider other venues as well.

I've been to this shop for both breakfast and lunch. For breakfast I get 2 eggs with cheese and homefries (no bread or meat) and sometimes a drink. The price comes to about $6.50. But there is plenty of it to last me until lunch. For lunch my favorite item is the spinach wrap. If I get that and a drink I'm spending the same about of money and again, that can last me until dinner (although one of my colleagues will eat hers in one sitting). The shop is located in the bottom level of a building, so you do not see it from the street. Upon entering, you will find "cafeteria" style tables and chairs that will probably accomodate 10-15 people. To the left is a salad bar, goodies, and the menu. The staff can be very curt and yes, it does give the impression that they are rude. However, they are in the business to make money and it's evident they aren't worried about tips. :) Jon actually cracks me up when he rings up the register, because he pushes those register keys with intensity - using both index fingers to ensure that he speedies the process. :P

Ok, so I have worked in this building since 2007 and have visited Jons cafe on many occasions out of laziness to walk outside in bad weather. I will say, that Jon the owner and the cashier guy, has his own quirky way but I don't think his customer service is bad. In fact, everyone there is nice. But they do serve you as anyone in a quick diner would serve you-fast! So I guess for some people, that comes off as harsh or bad service. To me, it's efficient use of my time. Any who, onto the food. Although it's not the best quality ever, there are certain items that def hit the spot. over the years, I've learned to always et the fresh cooked items on the menu. Anything for breakfast is mostly if not all made to order. I've had their breakfast platter and croissant sandwiches-always yummy and hot. For lunch, my go to is the chicken cheesesteak, with everything on it PLUS hot peppers(have to ask for these specifically)-DELISH. again, not the best thing ever but it def will hit the spot when it's raining outside. I recently discovered their fish and chips and it was actually ok. Takes a little longer to cook than my usual cheesesteak, but it's decent. Tartar sauce isn't your typical sauce but it's good(ask for extra sauce from Jon), it tastes tangy sweet like potato salad almost, prob the relish they use. Overall, Jon's is an ok place and great when in time crunch or bad weather.

My favorite place to have lunch in Rosslyn. Great variety of food to choose from. I saw the other reviews about prices and I think they are wrong. They offer good value for the money. Their portions are large and are less expensive than other restaurants in the area, including the food trucks.

The coffee here is REALLY good. So good that it runs out in the late afternoon, so better get your cup of Joe early! Customer service is great as well, really friendly staff. There are always lots of regular govt workers/business people grabbing a quick bite here. Fresh salad/veggies on display that are always fresh is a plus.
