If you are looking for a good, neighborhood bar that makes you feel at home - then Lucky's is the place!!! Paul and Adam take the time to make all their guests feel welcome - they always remember your name and your drink! Drinks are good - appetizers are delicious, too! We especially like the nachos, chicken griller and sliders. If you are unsure of where to go - go to Lucky's. You won't be disappointed!

This is just a review on the food. I ordered the pasta primavera and it was so bland. It had no sauce and no flavor whatsoever and was very disappointing. The only good thing about the dish were the vegetables, only because I love veggies and I had dumped a whole bunch of salt and pepper on it to make it taste like anything at all. The chicken Marsala was also very mediocre. The only thing I enjoyed from what was ordered was the chicken and cheese dip.

I sometime sing there, I love their beer, you can also win a contest for best singer! I love the atmosphere, Tuesday are the best day of the week to go there,

Lucky's is a fun little sports bar to hang out with friends at. Tons of TVs, so you won't be missing whatever event you go there to watch. It's SUPER loud, so don't expect too much conversation unless you wanna be yelling the whole time. There's a small area that people seem to use as a dance floor (mainly when they get super drunk). The drinks are good. The food is good. Definitely recommend giving Lucky's a chance.

All I can say is that the food here has gone way better!! The food before was alright at best... My wife and I ordered the chicken quesadilla and they were really good and the salsa taste so fresh. I got the Cajun chicken and it was so flavorful. The sweet potatoes were amazing! Will definitely come back again!

It was so, so, so, so good. Went over there for the Rousey fight, though he it was just a dingy sports bar, came to find out it was really good food. The server was a bit of a jackass and not too attentive but I tend not to like my servers pushy anyway. Point is, I give five stars for the food, cleanliness, speed of service, and ambiance, which is all that really matters.

I have actually been pretty surprised by this spot for my office lunchers. I had been rather skeptical about going here but ended up being pretty happy with the choice. I am obsessed with the sweet potato wedges.. creamy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The Fish and Chips have heavy breading which i tend to dislike, but I did not mind the heavy breading here because it was nice and filled with herbs. The fajitas are amazing. The chicken was tender and the steak pieces were nice and rare. HUGE CHUNKS.. large portions.. Food is pretty good. I suggest trying it out.

I love that they have brunch now on Sundays! The omelets are really good (made in the back, but included in the price for the buffet) and homefries are yummy too. The french toast is really food as well! The first time we had it, the owner asked how we like it.. We were honest: It was a little dry. The next Sunday we returned, and it was moist and so flavorful! I love how attentive the owner and staff are to the customers. I still can't believe they aren't busier! We just ordered carryout for dinner...so I had to update my review! The buffalo chicken sliders, ribs, and lobster bisque are must-haves!!!!

We were looking for a sports bar to watch the Saints-Falcons game and Lucky's was the closest one. Judging by its impressive lack of organization, it would seem that this was the first football Sunday that Lucky's was open for business and we came too close to kickoff to pick another bar. Here is a list if the issues at Lucky's: * the hostesses did not know which if their TVs would have which game so we could not be seated until the one hostess who knew the TV game assignments came back * There was no room at the bar so we had to seat at the restaurant part, which has small flat screens in a layout with high booth dividers, obviously not designed for game watching * they seem to be overwhelmed by the amount of orders right before kickoff as our well-meaning waiter kept apologizing for delays * when our wing orders did come, some of my husband's wings were cold * they did not provide any moist towelettes to clean the wing sauce from the fingers * at some point they ran out of glasses because they brought sweet tea in plastic solo cups. On the positive side, their wings are pretty tasty, which is why they got two stars instead of one. Lucky's has a long way to go before it's a proper sports bar, and in the northern VA with so much competition, they should get their act together pretty quick.

So far not so good. We waited for 10 minutes before a manager greeted us to ask if we'd been greeted yet..we said no, still waiting and it's now 18 minutes. Our server was very unhappy to see she had us and basically poo-pooed our questions. I had the beef sandwich and it was soggy and actually kind of gross. My friends tuna wasn't very good either. At least there's alcohol.

This place is just your average local sports bar. Luckys has GREAT food!! The customer service however is not that great.

Delicious wings, I've been here three times and always had good customer service too. Weekends it can be tough to get a seat in the bar but it is a bar/arcade and locally the closest thing to dave and busters. All kinds of people every time I come, not a clique type of place everyone seems to talk o everyone. The music can be very trendy and drab as a whole but aesthetically the ambiance is one of a kind for the area. Bar and bathrooms typically very clean but not child friendly. Had the petit sirloin last time extra rare with steamed veggies and side cease salad. I was very impressed how flavorful it was for how little it was cooked. I loved it. The waitress was beautiful, smart, on point and bubbly. Men be careful this bar does end to attract some older bar fly types of women but otherwise it's definitely worth trying. All around pleasant every time.

Husband and I went here for a date night. I ordered the beef fajitas and he ordered a chicken salad. I also had the "Washingtonian" drink (which was delicious). We went on a Monday night and the dining area was quite empty. I didn't mind at all because it was our date night. The bar soundly lively, but not in an obnoxious way. In fact, we would have checked it out if we had more time to do so. The food was spectacular. It was a bit overpriced, but hey... It was our first time out at a restaurant without our toddler in months... So honestly, I didn't think about it too much. The service was ok. Nothing really good or bad to note. When we first sat down, food was delivered to us by accident. The food runner, instead of apologizing and moving on, did say something along the lines of, "oh, that's weird. She told me to come to this table, but whatever." It wasn't said rudely, it was just unprofessional. Mistakes happen. It's cool. Just move on instead of blaming someone else. I don't really care. I mean, give me the food if you are upset about going to the wrong table. Whatever the other table preserved looked good, so I'd take it. Our server was pleasant, as was our hostess. But again, nothing super positive or negative to note about them. They just... Existed. The owner did come by and ask us how everything was. I thought that was pretty cool. Again, conversation was whatever. Atmosphere was dead because of lack of patrons. The candle on the table was dead (battery operated). Overall, food was good and because service wasn't bad, I'm likely to return... Especially to check out the bar side. I would visit more often if the prices were lowered or I could justify the higher costs with a better atmosphere or superior service.

This place was amazing! First off they had 2 areas, the bar area and the clean, quiet, and might I say "organized" restaurant area for you fancy folk of Virginia. Haha it was great so obviously my friend and I attacked the bar to watch some football and to my surprise, They had a mini-arcade inside. Nothing like being a kid again and hopping inside of "let's go jungle." Shot a few hoops and then the best part... I got the 12 Oz. Ribeye! (Sorry no pictures) because as soon as that plate smacked the top of my table... IT WAS GOING DOWN!!!! The steak was juicy the game went great and I haven't even hit talk with the uppercut combo finisher because the clouds parted for my dessert to descend. From the heavens them selves can a "Gourmet" Apple Pie to die for. Sounds simple right? Yeah I forgot to mention that the pie was a la mode (Had ice cream) for my friends that didn't know. It's ok to be jealous haha, it's a wonderful atmosphere and a great time for friends and family if you go to the restaurant side of the house. Arnold Schwarzenegger take it away! "I'LL BE BACK!" BOO-YAH!!!

I really want to like this place. It is so close to my house that if it was a little better, I would be here all the time. I have been here for 3 NFL games and 2 nights of random partying and drinking. Te TVs are quite huge but look old and outdated. They are very low quality. The food is average at best (it isn't nasty) but they can't brag about it for sure. The burgers, fries, wings, philly chease are all less than 3 stars. the variety of beer is pretty good. I love kids but I hate drinking in a bar while trying to watch NFL games while a million kids are around, it is so freaking annoying. The TVs are angled a bit awkward as well

We went here last night and, for a Saturday, the place was incredibly empty. Even being the only people in the dining area, it still took us 15 minutes to even be acknowledged (we actually had to flag down the hostess who in turn had to hunt down our illusive waitress). We ordered appetizers and drinks, but once we got our drinks we didn't see the waitress for another 15 minutes. This was when she brought us our appetizer. She then asked us if we were ready to order. We had about 30 minutes to stare at the menu, so we were definitely ready. I ordered the prime rib and my boyfriend ordered the ribs. After the waitress took our order, we ate our appetizer. We had wings; half with BBQ sauce and half with Old Bay. The wings were incredibly good and I highly recommend the Old Bay ones. After we ate our appetizer (about 15 minutes), the waitress came to our table and said the prime rib wouldn't be ready for another thirty minutes. At this point, I figured more waiting wouldn't kill us; it seems like everything took forever at Lucky's. Unfortunately, it took about an hour before our meals were brought to us. The prime rib was not worth the wait; I wish I had just ordered something else. The boyfriend liked his ribs, but thinks they just used Sweet Baby Ray's sauce (so, nothing special like a homemade sauce). The waitress asked us if we wanted dessert, but we had plans a few hours later and I didn't want to risk being late. All in all, the food was pretty good (especially the wings), but the service and wait time for the food left much to be desired.

**this review is for the restaurant area only** The space is very pretty, the service was very good, but the food is seriously meh. I ordered the blackened chicken sandwich and it was bland (not at all blackened) and tasted like freezer burn. The salad I ordered was also pretty lack luster.

The first time I went to Lucky's was in 2012. It was amazing. I loved the good, service and even arcade. However, time had passed and I hadn't been to Lucky's in years. I was eager to go back. My boyfriend and I decided to go. Lucky's was surprisingly empty (it used to be so busy) the service was slow. Our waiter never came back to our table and we spent most of our time waiting. My boyfriend'a Pepsi was flat. I use to be obsessed with their rolls. However, this time the rolls were hard and tasted old. The rolls were so hard I couldn't even crack it. My boyfriend liked his meal but my salad was swimming in dressing. All in all, the prices are decent but I wish it was how it use to be a few years ago.

Great place to watch games. One side is bar ambience and the other is a nice restaurant area. They have tons of HD tvs and plenty of space. They also have a couple of arcade games, wish I would've found this place sooner!

Went here with a friend who wanted to do karaoke. Every Tuesday night they have a karaoke contest. The bar staff was great, very attentive and helpful. Alyssa kept making sure we were good and was just a lot of fun, joking with customers and such. Beer and shots were great. I had the nachos which were very good. My friend had the wings and she said they were very good as well. Didn't go there for the food went there because my friend said she wanted to do karaoke. The guy in charge of it was great as well. If I'm ever down that way again is definitely go back here.

**Review for the bar side only** Whenever I end up coming here, it isn't by choice - usually because it was someone else's idea. From the crowd to some of the establishment itself, the place has an inescapably dirty feel that is just impossible to ignore. If I'm being honest, this feel is probably more due to the kind of crowd that is typically found there. Service: I don't remember any of it being particularly bad. Pretty quick. No issues with bartender or serving staff that I can think of. Smoking: They still allow it. Definitely a contributing factor to my distaste for the place. Can't stand it. Horrible Restaurant Policy: Lucky's also has one policy that is extremely overbearing and is what inspires me to write this negative review the most. Imagine not sitting at the bar, but standing for a mere couple of seconds, attempting to grab a drink, when suddenly you're accosted by one of the serving staff (serving or management) and ordered to "get out of the walkway." Don't you think I would if I could? I've had 3 people mention it to me in a way that is forceful and not indicative of even semi-decent customer service. The place is not that big; to get up from your table and attempt to maneuver somewhere is going to put you in someone else's way. The rude manner in which they attempt to address these situations has been nothing short of abysmal. You have other options in the area if you're looking for a sports bar setting. Walk across the parking lot to Bungalow Billiards, unless you enjoy all of the things that I mentioned above - then Lucky's is the place for you.

I came here on a Friday, waited about 30 mins. The food was great, customer service could have been a lot better. When it's your birthday the dessert is free. :)

Luckys is a great place to have dinner and appetizers. I actually love their buffalo wings and dinner menu. But I have to say something about that brunch buffet they started doing. I really hope they can fix it. I saw their advertisement for it and they didn't have half of what they were advertising. The fruit was dry, the eggs looked weird, etc. Overall it is a very poor buffet I won't go back until they fix it to something more decent for the price they are charging.

Urgh. I hate to do one star, but my food? Not good. It was inedible. I wasn't expecting farm to table cuisine, but something that wasn't thawed and microwaved would have been nice. They comped my meal and drink. Server and manager were great and engaged. They need a menu overhaul though, ASAP.

    (1)

The good part: great to watch the game. The okay part: the wings are good. The bad part: the rest of the menu is not so good. Come here for a snack and the game.

I've been here several times and can't complain much. The food is always good and the drink specials are good since they have happy hour until 9pm. I usually go to the bar more than the restaurant here but the restaurant is actually pretty nice, clean and much different atmosphere than the other side. Service can be a bit slow at times but overall it's a good place to catch a decent, large portion bite or some drinks and games.

  • Gina D.

This is my 2nd time here. First time I had the steak and cheese sandwich, which was delicious. This time I had the fried green tomato burger w/goat cheese and a red pepper sauce. OMG! Best burger! The staff is great. Jeff and Morgan are so much fun!

  • Cheyenne M.

I love Lucky's food but there prices keep getting higher and higher. My parents and i went a few days ago and our waitress was wonderful. I am so glad they made it smoke free. I thought it was stupid to have the kids arcade in the bar with all the smokers. I have to say there ar epros and cons. cant say its good or bad

    (3)
  • Emily A.

I know that the whole world hates us "evil" smokers, and a lot of the previous reviews complain about the cigarette smoke in the bar, however with all of the bars in the area having cigarettes literally snuffed out, I am glad to find one place where I can still have a beer and enjoy a cigarette. The food is decent and have never had bad service here. I have a lot of friends who frequent this place a lot more than I do and they absolutely love it...and they aren't rednecks or trailer trash as another poster said the regulars tend to be. Its a fun spot that always has cold beer, food, games for the people who aren't into sports on TV, and TONS of TVs playing just about every sport games you would want to see for all us normal people. I'll have to try the ceviche since it got some pretty good reviews.

This is a decent local watering hole that seems to offer a little bit for everyone. It's nice to have an option that doesn't require a drive to Arlington or DC. -Large bar area -Dance area -Pool table -Air hockey table -Flat screens -Decent bar food- Tried the grilled chicken sandwich -Bar games... Regular not Adult Photo Hunt -Personable bartenders What I liked most was that there weren't any end of the night fights. (I hate that.) The crowd was pretty chill, peaceful and when I was there seemed to just be intent on having a good time. There also doesn't appear to be a dress code, but hey it's a bar.

    (3)
  • Mila P.

For a sports event the TV screens are perfect. However, just to go for drinks, it ends up pretty loud....with children. It's awkward that it's a half bar/ half kids playhouse

    (3)
  • Holly W.

It's worth a review to say, thank you to Lucky's management who has made the decision to stop allowing smoking. We've been residents of the area forever, but have always avoided the place, as the smoke smell would greet you at the door and waft over to the dining area. The food is consistent, and for the most part great for the prices. The service staff is attentive, and its everything you need in a local restaurant. Definitely recommend the lobster mac for an app, and the burgers are great too.

  • Colleen M.

Lucky's is one of those places that often struck us as a good idea, until we were making our way out of our booth and wondering why we didn't just stop for Chinese takeout. The dining room is massive and it's almost always nearly completely empty. They must be making their money on the bar side. The staff is almost always very attentive and nice. The people watching is usually pretty good. There are TVs almost everywhere and if you're not a jerk, they'll make sure you can watch your game. The menu is soooooo long. It is so long that Gordon Ramsey and that Restaurant Impossible guy sit around day dreaming about cutting it down by 75%. This might make it a good fit for a large group of picky eater sports fans, but usually it just means it takes twenty minutes to order. The food is also something Gordon Ramsey day dreams about screaming about. It's just sort of slop Cheap ingredients, too much sauce, too big of servings, clearly heavy use of microwaves. You can do better. In this neighborhood, I'm not really sure where... but there's probably somewhere.

I used to really enjoy stopping by Lucky's after work sometimes. It was my preferred Friday Happy Hour spot. The bar staff was fabulous and the food was fantastic. Their new ranch is downright amazing. Of late, however, the service and atmosphere leave a LOT to be desired. While most of the service staff is still great, several need a refresher on what it means to be in the service industry. Especially staff that comes back to drink at the bar with other patrons when off shift. Loud jokes about Down Syndrome, loud explanations of profanity, screaming across the bar, nasty, loud, challenges of other customers. Disgraceful. Oh, did I mention taking off shoes to show ones webbed feet above the bar so everyone else could see. Wanted to give more stars for the food and the bartenders who are great but can't based on the hostesses who don't even look up from their phones to greet people, the hostesses having loud, crass conversations about "good hair", the overly loud stupidity at the bar, and the few bartenders who have left the bar unattended after loudly complaining about coworkers (profanity included, of course). #barfail

St Patrick's day 2012. DO NOT ORDER CORNED BEEF & cabbage. Cabbage is greasy... Cooked in oil? Beef is seared, crusty, dry. Gross and waste of $

    (1)
  • Michelle N.

Minus a star for allowing smoking in the bar. Yes, I know it's allowed since it's "partitioned" away from the dining area but yuck. Gross. I smelled like an ashtray for like a day after. Other than that, this is a pretty cool spot. Huge room with lots of TVs and tables to watch sports. Games on one side of the room, including skee ball! That definitely gets an extra star for me. They food selection is pretty good and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I'd definitely come back but I'll have to remember to take a shower as soon as I get home. I hate that everything I wore, my hair, and my skin were reeking of smoke!

    (3)
  • Mick K.

Luckys is just OK. I've always had good service and food.. The beer is reasonably priced for the DC area. The two things I can't get over is the shady crowd and loud music. The crowd is made up of either young professionals or ghetto folks. I typically go on the weekends after work for a quick bite as eating at the same chain restaurants gets old. Around 9 PM, the lights get lowered and they BLAST the rap music to the point that it's hard to hear the people you're sitting with. I could justify this if the crowd responded; but every time I'm there the dance floor doesn't have people dancing on it. The place has potential but they need to figure out which crowd they want to cater to.

I have gone to Lucky's a few times now with some co-workers during Happy Hour. We've always had a great time! There is plenty of seating in the bar area, plus the numerous big screen TVs and arcade games provide a very entertaining atmosphere. The Happy Hour specials were reasonable, staff was friendly, and the place is very accessible (plenty of parking). Overall, no real complaints!

    (4)
  • James W.

They're cheesesteak was one of the worst ones I've ever had and French fries weren't all that great either. Not much of a fan of sports bar food but I was expecting at least something more then what I got.

Both a restaraunt and bar area. I love the set up of the bar with lots of places to sit and watch games. Food is pretty good.

Apparently, you can no longer smoke in the bar area anymore. I will no longer be going.

  • Michelle B.

I went on karaoke night and sat in the bar area. This place is just nasty with smoke. As a person who likes to sing, but hates smoke, I have to think twice about this place for karaoke. They were trying to kill people with the second hand smoke. You may leave this place needing an iron lung. Despite this, it looked like a decently kept bar. The bar has an upscale look to it. I was hungry, so I ordered the salmon entree. This fish tasted like it was frozen for a long time before they cooked it. Terrible especially when you look at the prices they are asking for bad food. I tried the long beach iced tea, which tasted good, but did not have enough liquor. The service was good, but the other problems were just too much for me. I don't want to go back.

I used to hang out here about 4-6 years ago but once DC banned smoking in bars, I saw how nice it was to not smell like smoke after coming out of a bar...I basically only came back here once or twice a year since. Starting 1JAN2014 they apparently went smoke free rather than continue the ruse that they had separate ventillation systems between the bar and the restaurant. The system was the same one from back when it was Damon's and definitely just pushed the smoke around the place. This place has a good location will limited competition (Bungalow's which has pool and darts but very spotty service). The food can be pretty decent though some stuff is hit or miss. The basket of bread is fresh and good (though sweet). The rolls on the sliders were stale so we subbed in the ones from the bread basket...TGIFs frozen microwave ones are better. The cod sandwich used to be really good but haven't had it in years. The blackened mahi mahi was way overcooked and overseasoned when I had it a few months ago. The blackened catfish was still somewhat overseasoned but not overcooked so actually pretty good. They seem to have cut down on their portions of the side dishes through maybe that's my imagination. Had really excellent service from Briana in the bar table area. Would have given her 4.5 stars. So in talking to some folks that have been going there during my absence, it sounds like the manager doesn't want the games there so he's basically torpedoing them by not maintaining them. About half don't work. They have some new ones but they don't take the their Lucky's card so now you have to pump cash in there and have their card. The games can allow parents with kids to have a beer at a bar and still entertain the kids and go out every once in a while. The problem with letting the games go to hell so that it becomes 'logical' for the owner to get rid of them, is that without them, they are just a regular bar with ok food and a good location. The owner probably needs to decide whether he wants to keep the games and have something a little unique for the area or become a TGIFs because (as another review said) they aren't going to compete for food with the jaugernaut that is Great Amercian Restaurants. If he keeps the games, he needs to get a manager that is onboard with his plan or this place will be gone in 3 years.

Have nothing nice to say. Had a reservation for a large group on a busy World Cup afternoon and despite placing orders shortly after arrival we did not receive food for at least another 2 hours. Were actually told that the order was too large to give to the kitchen so we would have to wait until other orders (from non reservation customers) eased up. When food finally started arriving the game was over, the restaurant was empty and the food seemed as it had been sitting in the kitchen for hours. Very poorly managed and handled.

I have to preface that this review will be a tad biased as the daughter of one of the women I went with tonight works at Lucky's and I know we got better service as a result of it. That being said, I was really worried about all the reviews about the smoke. I'm pregnant and didn't want to have dinner in a smoky restaurant, but was pleasantly surprised that I couldn't smell any smoke from the bar. But there wasn't a game going on and it was a slow Sunday. The food wasn't too bad. I ordered the carne asada and was dismayed when it came out because it was a slab of beef. To my surprise, it was PERFECTLY cooked and was VERY good! They don't serve it with tortillas (really?!) and the rice it came with was a jumble of corn, green beans and I wasn't in love with that concoction. Several of the ladies I ate with ordered salads and they looked YUMMY! I would definitely consider going back.

Good service and nice restaurant. Have a bar section where you can smoke and play a bunch of arcade games. The sirloin steak was great and the mashed potatoes tasty. They have a variety of kids stuff on Wed. nights- balloons, free tokens, free meals. Drink prices are very fair as well!

After being seated and told by the hostess that they would change a tv to the football game I requested (plenty of available Tv's), the waitress told us it was their policy not to change channels on Sun. Asked to speak with the manager and were told that he was busy and would come by when he could....he never did. Food was average. It was cold in the restraunt. We won't be back.

I normally wouldn't find myself at local bars, but since it's right across the street from my home I end up frequenting this spot when I get the itch to get out of the house. Prices aren't too shabby, and they serve blue moon on tap which is a definite plus. I've never been dissapointed by their bar food. It is mostly because the food is actually good and partly because I'm usually slightly tipsy by the time I'm ready to order which makes the food taste even better! Wait staff is friendly and expedite food and drinks rather quickly. One of the downfalls (or non-down falls depending on how you look at it) is that it is one of the only places that allows smoking indoors due to their ventilation system, so it get's really smoky inside. I normally can't leave from there without smelling like an ash tray, which is not usually an attractive smell on a woman. Over all, I'd come back. Not too shabby, Lucky's Sportsbar!

Last time I was there, got the nachos and was sorely disappointed. I got the large nachos to share amongst a group of us but the plate I got was about the size of what you get at Taco Bell. I meant to ask if they gave me the half size by mistake (I was charged for a large) but I got sidetracked and forgot to ask. As for the other food items...it was simply OK. They allow smoking...be prepared to reek of stale tobacco smoke.

The bar food isn't bad at all, service is a little iffy though depending on the staff that day. But altogether, not a bad place to relax and have few drinks while enjoying the arcade games. (basically a mini D&B's)

Yes, it is a sports bar so I really shouldn't complain about the smoking, but there aren't too many smoking bars left in VA which means you need to be prepared for a higher concentration of smoky yuck than in the past. And not all the smoke eaters in the world can wash out stench from your clothes once you've walked through those doors, my friend. So don''t be surprised if you find yourself muttering, "Out, Out, damned stench," as you try to wash your clothes later that night. But if you know what you're getting into, Lucky's is a bar where the service is solid and the food is pretty good. I love their ceviche and still find myself scratching my head that I found it in Lucky's. The bartenders are very cool and I would have to give five stars to Mary, Michelle, and Liz. I've rarely had to wait on a drink, and they make you feel right at home. That being said, I think some of Lucky's regulars can feel too at home at times which can discourage new business. I have observed, and been on the receiving end of, rude behavior toward other patrons from a group that clearly thinks Lucky's was made just for them. This is a shame because it detracts from friendly demeanor of its bar staff, Still, whenever I am in the area I try to stop in for a beer and a bite of ceviche

Sat there for 15 minutes and received no service. No one even walked by. Ended up leaving, and as we walked out realized that there wasn't even any hostesses at the front desk.

The hostess working the dinner shift tonight needs to learn respect and customer service. My family has been to Lucky's many times and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere... until tonight! My family was disrespected and treated VERY rudely by the hostess. Many sarcastic remarks were spoken and my son witnessed the hostess using inappropriate language and making inappropriate gestures in reference to the interaction which she had with my husband. Her behavior was very unprofessional and it is a shame that this hostess is one of the first impressions that patrons will interact with when walking into this establishment.

Went for the game of the Redskins & Cowboys. Neither are my favorite teams, but I went with friends. As expected, it was packed & I was standing for a while until our server, Devon, was able to get me a chair. Speaking of Devon, she had a lot of patrons to serve & she was quick to make sure everybody was okay. Kudos to her, she's main reason I give it a 3....along with the hot fries. I'm not a smoker, so I really don't like that it's a bar folks can still smoke in but other than that, it was a cool time.

This place is pure VA suburbia. Trashy people, smokey bar, crappy food...what's not to hate! The service was actually decent but the music was way too loud and the clientele was pretty shady.

I'm sad they got rid of the mechanical bull :( overall a pretty fun place to be. Arcades, daily deals and activities, plenty of big hd tvs to watch your favorite sports. The tables by the bar are a little too cramped though and moving around was difficult. Also, I hate the smell of smoke so if you're like me, this place is not for u.

We had an office function at Luckys today, I have eaten there before and it was satisfactory. Most of our party never received food. I ordered soup and salad the soup was cold and the waitress comped it. She tried hard, but there was obviously a kitchen deficiency. After nearly two hours most of us left hungry and frustrated with the experience.

While their service is usually to die for in the bar area, last fight night I came and waited 45 minutes to get one beer. Normally I'd leave, but there was a large party of us and we desperately wanted to see the fight. After it took 45 minutes, the server - Hannah- then took an additional 40 minutes to get us our next beer, since we went ahead and ordered when we got the first beer since it'd taken so long. Ultimately if it'd been my first time, I wouldn't have been back. Luckily (haha) I'll give it another try and hope it gets better!

Amazing happy hour and excellent bar tenders and customer service. There food is pretty good as a bonus. Their happy hour food specials are amazing. Its a smoky bar, but it seems ventilated.

Better than most sports bars... I guess! I've noted in other reviews that I'm not keen on sports bars, but I must say, although not thoroughly impressed the various times I've visited, it's a couple of rungs better than your typical TV-swamped pubs! The beers are good and cold - can't mess that up, but some of their eats fall short. I was especially unimpressed with their wings - for some reason, they use far too much vinegar for my taste. As for other offerings, I can categorize much of it as standard fare. Like other similar venues, it's very noisy during peak hours (one of my issues with sports bars). But if you do like sports bars, this local watering hole beats a lot of the competition. Recommended to the die-hard sports/eats/scream crowd!

I have had 2 of my birthday's at Lucky's. My only complaint is they weren't able to accommodate accordingly to our numbers the first time. Though, the food was good.

Food was great. Bread is awesome. Problem was food served very fast and appetizer, salad and entree were all served within minutes. We did not even finish our appetizer when the sale was served and then within two minutes came entree. Order one thing at a time!!! Again food was good but served way too fast.

We've been here 4 times; the food is always good! The nachos are LOADED with delicious toppings. The cheesesteak is packed full of meat, but can be a tad bit over salted. My husband loves the fajitas...the seasoning is amazing! The sweet potato wedges and dipping sauce are my favorite thing there, I wish I could take a bottle of that sweet sauce home! Service has been spot on every time. We will definitely be back soon. We have only sat in the dining room, so I can't comment on the bar side.

It's typical "upscale" sports-bar. Food is overpriced, especially for what you get. There are large flat-screen TVs everywhere, so there's plenty to distract you. Their selection of liquors (at least bourbons - and, sorry, but Jack Daniels is decidedly *NOT* bourbon) is sorely lacking. Lacking a bourbon selection, my wife ordered a Tanqueray and tonic while I ordered a kamikaze on the rocks. Drinks are competently made. I ordered their cajun ribeye cooked rare. To me, this means a flavorful steak with seasoning that accents (spices up) the underlying meat. Unfortunately, at this place, it means "so covered in mid-grade spices that you have no idea what the underlying meat feels or tastes like". On the plus side, they actually seem to understand that when someone orders their steak rare, they mean "with a cool, red center". My steak came with a side salad as an appetizer. I chose the green salad because I've never found a caesar salad I liked. To me, a green salad is pretty much a mix of lettuces garnished with stuff like carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers or other common garden vegetables. THEIR green salad is lettuce with finely-chopped tomatoes and garnished heavily with dates, raisins and cranberries - I freaking hate fruits on my salads - sprinkled liberally with pine nuts and then doused with a sweet dressing. FMEH. My wife ordered the house salad. It looked more like what I expect from a green salad. My wife informed me that it was ok, but didn't taste like it was made from especially well-sourced produce. We were gonna get the bread-pudding for desert, but ran out of time. Given their selection of bourbons, I imagine the advertised bourbon-sauce would have been disappointing.

I was here to watch the UFC fights so the place was packed. Not my first choice of Saturday night activity, but that's not Lucky's fault. So, like I said, the bar was standing room only, but we lucked out and got a table just as someone was leaving which was awesome because we were starving. Since they have a bar that is separated from the dining area, smoking is allowed. Which is cool, I think smoking should be allowed in bars but it seems like they had no ventilation at all because you hit a thick wall of smoke immediately when you open the door. The waitress seemed a little annoyed and forgetful but she was super busy so I get that and think she did a pretty good job. We got the nachos (not too bad), Asian Chicken Salad (awful), and the Philly (reported to be good). The food tasted ok but by the end of dinner I was feeling sick. Like, really sick. I'd rather not go into details. So we got the check and made a quick dash home. So pros: ok service, they have the fights (if you're into that sort of thing), smoking is permitted (if you're into that sort of thing) cons: bad experience with the food, and WAY too smokey - seriously put in a fan or something. I reeked of smoke when i got home.

Decided on an early dinner @ 4pm and I should have waited another hour until the chef showed up. Ordered a medium rare filet mignon and a loaded baked potato. Ice cold potato came with a SOLID ball of frozen butter. Sent it back and by the time the server returned, the potato was hot, but the steak was cold. It was also rare--very rare. And not seasoned. So I send the pair back again and in defense of the server (Sean) he made sure it came out the way it should have 20 minutes earlier. My daughter's pork chops were fine. Service was good, but for $60, they oughta get it right the first time. Lastly, the arriving evening servers loitered in the reception area talking to the hostess and my 14 y/o daughter got to learn what getting "krunked" means.

This place is ok. I have only been here for work events, and we always seem to book the smoking area. It does have it's own ventilation, but when more than a few people are smoking back there, it doesn't matter. The drink prices are what you would expect, and the food is standard bar fare. Most of the video games have burned in screens and aren't worth wasting your money on.

  • Fireball D.

Love the bartenders! I do miss the smoking inside but ill live. Would've been nice if they had waited til spring though ;-) My only big complaint is the toddlers running around every wednesday in the front lobby. Ive tripped over them several times and the parents are nowhere to be found. Its a bit ridiculous. I don't understand why a bar would promote bringing toddlers to it...... Seen some parents yell at other customers for being "drunk" around there kid. Its a bar. Plain and simple. People are going to be somewhat drunk.

This place is pretty nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They seat you quickly and are attentive. The food was good but I was surprise that they don't have a signature burger, only a "build your own" option. The fries are REALLY good. The calamari was excellent, and the bread was soft and fresh out of the oven. I really enjoyed my dinner here. I will go back to try their other menu items. I'm only sorry that I had not gone here before or I would have avoided the bad experience at chilis across the street.

Just had a bad experience here. Asked for sliders with nothing on them... They came out with the mayo mustard sauce. Sent it back and they returned the same burgers wih a poor job of trying to wipe it off. Still had that sauce all over it! Won't be back...shows me the low quality with which they run their kitchen.

More like 3.5 stars. This casual restaurant is a lot better than it used to be. I have noticed a nice renovation to the interior and more attention to customers from the management. The food has never impressed me but is consistently fairly good. I like that I can eat a quiet meal in the dining room, which is separate from the sports theater and games (which I have never participated in so cannot comment upon). The seating hostesses, waiters, and the manager all seemed concerned about pleasing customers. I just wish that the foods made me go "mmm". The menu has starters (e.g., artichoke dip, calamari, soups, salads), entrees (e.g., burgers and sandwiches, beef, chicken, fresh fish), and a few desserts. You are making good progress, management, so keep going!

I come here to watch sports games with girlfriends or with the hubby. They always have a great selection of food and beer and it never lets me down! I always get the calamari and share with a few people. The service is a hit or miss but come on people, give them some slack on a busy night! Overall, a solid place to enjoy with a large crowd if you're looking for that sports bar vibe. The decor is pretty awesome too!

Def like that you can smoke at the bar...rare these days. Pretty cool there's a bunch of video games too. Kinda like a baby Dave and Busters. Food is decent, plus they show UFC and Boxing ppv for free (just show up early, cuz they get packed).

I give this place four stars. It is a great neighborhood experience. prime rib was delicious. service was impeccable. manager actually came to table to see how things were. when was the last time you had that happen? i have not even seen this at the capitol grille the last few times we went. if you live in area and are debating between this and outback there is no longer a contest. skip the chain and go here. i asked and they say they have prime rib every saturday.

  • Darin S.

Before today I would have given this 4-5 stars. HOWEVER, after waiting over an hour for someone to take a food order, not so much. It was slow and it was leftover lunch people for the most part. Needless to say it was the worst lunch I've never eaten.

It's a very decent place to get drinks or take a date. There are two sides to the place. The smoky bar side or the restaurant side.

    (4)
  • Nick W.

I can only comment on the restaurant side of this place. One night we attempted to go here not knowing it was UFC night. I'm not a UFC fan, so I had no idea. Well, apparently this place gets extremely busy on UFC night and the wait was well over an hour for a seat. Not wanting to wait, we left. We gave this place a second chance and it wasn't too bad. Service was fair, food was good but it was nothing overly impressive. I'd say it's about a 2 1/2 star rating. Not the best, but definitely not the worst.

    (3)
  • Cara W.

Let's start off with the good: The rolls are yummy! I've come here a couple of times on Wednesdays (kids night) which is nice that the waitresses always cater to the kids needs. Their food gets brought out first and quickly which keeps them occupied. I have only tried the mahi-mahi sandwich which is not too bad but one night the portion was super small and the other night I ordered it, it was rather large. So a little inconsistent. One complaint I have is that for kids night they give kids free game cards to use. But the games are all in the bar area which is a separate room filled with SMOKE. Why would I ever send my small children in there to subject them to that? So I have a stack of game cards if anyone has a kid who smokes a pack a day.....

Hubs and I were out this past weekend shopping at the Springfield Mall and had worked up quite an appetite. So, I jumped on YELP and saw the reviews for Baja Fresh - which led us to this neighborhood strip mall, just in time for hubs to decide he'd rather try this place out! The parking lot was pretty full, but once inside, we were seated within a minute or two. I was impressed by the decor - kind of golf-club-esque, with elevated booths and large windows. Our server was friendly and prompt, and offered an explanation of the menus - there were two, the regular and the specialty listings. The calamari was recommended, so we tried that (yummo!) and for the first time in as long as I can remember, I made my entree decision faster than the hubs did - that's how extensive the menu was! I ordered the steak salad, which featured grilled-to-order steak atop romaine, roasted corn, a mix of cheeses and buttermilk basil dressing - which proved to be a simple, but really harmonious blend of flavors! Hubs decided on the club sandwich, and subbed the fries for a lobster bisque...both very delectable in the bites he offered me! The sandwich was piled high in the traditional manner, with perfectly toasty (and oh so buttery) bread, plus the lobster bisque really had an almost sweet aroma that complemented the main course well. I was glad to hear that the menu is always changing, due to guests suggestions (they even had comment cards on each table, a practice I didn't realize how much I missed - I remember seeing a lot more often when I was a kid!) so that it's the optimal mix of traditional and new flavor combinations.

the food is nothing special BUT we love to go on Wednesday's for family night bc kids are free and the atmosphere is very friendly. they have a mom and son balloon making, face painting treat. also we have a favorite waitress--Felicia. she's the best. we need more felicias in the restaurant world. I hear the bar area is great on big sports nights.

I was not at all impressed. I went here with my wife for dinner. Now I will say the best part of the meal was the dinner rolls. They are totally awesome. I had the cajun steak and it was as tasty as shoe leather. The service was also horrible. Not to mention there was some kind of baseball all-star team there making a ton of noise and running back and forth from the game room to the dining area. Will not go again.

Best steak in the Alexandria area.......(hands down) Basically it's divided up into 2 sections the restaurant part (to your right) and the sports bar part (to your left) Meet my ex boss there on several occasion's to just drink in the bar area and shoot the breeze... has an arcade inside the bar which is kinda kewl and they use to have a mechanical bull which was awesome once we got drunk enough to get on it!! but the steak is "off the chain" for the price and if any of my house guest ever want a good steak in the area I recommend Lucky's

Lucky's has decent nite life. Friday and Sat nite there is a DJ, an late 20-early 30s crowd, fun adult arcade games, and decent bar food. The TVs are also great. People don't really dance much, but the DJ is still good. However, on a Friday it is hard to find a place to sit. My only qualm with Luckys is that it lacks gluten free beer and menu options. I have expressed by disappointment on the comment cards, so far these have not yielded results. I would satisfied if they had: GF beer GF pastas GF breads and GF appetizers. Dairy free and nut free items wouldnt be bad either.

I went to Lucky's Sports Bar and Grill for the soccer game last Sunday. The place was packed and full of lively friendly fans. I really like being in this type of atmosphere. After the game, we decided to play some "Air Hockey" and a few of the wide selection of video games. Had a really good time!

Sports Bar...that's it. They have one of the longest lines in town for UFC fights to drum up business and recently started charging. Not a biggie, but they let more people in than they have seats. A game room inside a bar with kids running around while adults smoke??? I dunno what their thinking was there. Restaurant side is ok. Food is decent, a little pricey. Good selection of beers. Rude bar staff with only 1 or 2 exceptions. DJ on Friday night with the young crew. DJ on Saturday night a little better (mature) crowd. More men than women anytime you go...in fact, very little meet n greet opportunities ever. Gave it a 2 for close by.

Love this place! Have never been to the restaurant side of the place, only to the bar area. Tons of games (including corn hole on certain nights), great staff, great food (not your typical bar fare), laid back atmosphere, big screen tvs to watch the games.......doesn't get much better!

I've been going to Lucky's ever since moving in the area about 3 years ago and it was a nice place to go and a good atmosphere especially for football season up until this season. I can tell that the staff is definitely under new management and the new managers are freaking jerks. Of course this is a Redskins bar but you'll get a little glimpse of every team's fans in here. More of teams of the NFC East but other teams as well. Me being an Eagles fan and Eagles fan are always high five-ing when we score and such. We support our team. But the terrible thing is they will and do show favoritism to certain people that come to this bar. There is a group of Cowboy's fans that comes to this place and always love to start stuff and provoke debates out of us Eagles fans. Me, I usually will stay in the bar and watch games of interest such as games of the NFC East to see how well the division is doing. Well usually I'm wearing my Eagles jersey and they love to taunt and such when my team loses which all fine and dandy. I actually like that part of football, it suppose to be all fun, and trash talk suppose to happen. Now when their team loses you should expect the same from me, but instead they will get all butt hurt then start talking about how my team sucks which again is cool, I like that but don't get mad when I talk about your team. When I talk back they will flag the staff saying that I'm causing trouble when the debate gets going. I'm the only Eagles fan and like 6 Cowboy fans not to mention a blonde bartender (wears a Colts Jersey) who will quickly jump in and instigate on their behalf but the staff always comes to me like I'm the bad guy saying that I'm causing trouble. The staff instead of saying all of us needs to calm down always comes to me and I'm not even loud but they say I'm "causing trouble" and disrupting. I've seen these guys in their plenty of times and they sit at the same table which is right by the bathroom just so they can start their trash talking when going to the bathroom. I was physically bounced out the bar once for just telling the manager (who I think was a Cowboys fan too) that it's not just me but they are always pointing the finger at me and showing them favoritism. I told him he was acting like a b**** and they tossed me out because I told him that he was clearly favoring them like they didn't do anything wrong. I've never had problems before until then and a lot of the staff behind the bar have seen me plenty of times and know that I'm just a football fan and like watching football. But other than all that the place is nice with arcade machines and big screens everywhere to watch games on. Nice food and stuff is decently priced. Just beware if you are an Eagles fan because they clearly don't like Eagles fans. It's not just me but I've seen them discriminate on other Eagles fans as well. If these guys start with you don't say anything to them because they go cry and play victim. It's usually a short guy with a very scratchy a nasty voice, I fat guy that wears the alternate boys jersey with cornrows. A tall guy who wears a shirt and cowboys hat but he never really starts anything and he's pretty calm. A fat light skinned girl, she actually wears a 49ers jersey and love to start getting loud and ghetto and she's probably the one telling the staff. Other teams you shouldn't have any problem and normally Eagles fan wouldn't have any problems but just don't fall into these guys hole. That bad experience mad me rate 2 stars but if the old manager (former marine) was still there I would give it 4 stars. He was a much better manager and customer friendly.

Background story: Went to a friend's house to watch the UFC fight. After an hour of fighting with Verizon, we decided to just go watch it somewhere. We made a few phone calls, and this seemed like the closest place to go. We walk in... and I'm in sweatpants. Thought we'd be watching this one at home. Oops. Anyway, it was kind of crowded, but we found a table and sat down to watch the games. Also, there was NO COVER, which, for fight night, is a huge bonus. We were seated between the kitchen/bar and our waitress' serving section. She was overly attentive. We joked that when we were ready to order another round, she'd disappear. She didn't. The fight was on most of the TVs, and the other ones were covering two college football games. It was nice to watch that between the fights. We each had a beer (good selection), I had an Irish coffee (not authentic, but better than anticipated), and my roommate had calamari, which was actually pretty tasty. Pricing was about standard for the area. I'd definitely go back next fight night, and maybe check it out for football games.

So I had always heard this place was trashy from my older cousins and friends who would go to the bar, being that there is a mechanical bull in the bar area. If I was to rate the service it would be 1-2 stars, however the alfredo that I got was bangin. So we went on fight night, and our waitress was horrible. I would be speaking mid sentence and she would just wander off. She failed to come and refill drinks. I understand it was a busy night, but its not like the people who arrived at 9 would be there until 11 eating and ordering drinks. They were there soley to continue watching the series of fight. Anyways so I thought my waitress gave us horrible service. Then I went to the bar to try and get change, I'm of age to bar hop. However, I wasn't aware that you had to be 21 to just go into the bar area. Meaning that I had to sit there and waste everyone's time waiting for change. Which I thought was inconvenient and dumb, I'm 18, last time I checked, I was aloud to go into the bar. That being said, the alfredo I had was delicious, but gave me the runs when I got home. Maybe I should change this rating to a 1 or 2 star.

Decided to stop in at Lucky's on a Sunday afternoon in search of the Miami Dolphins game. Since we're too cheap to purchase NFL Sunday Ticket my hubby and I usually try to find a place to get some grub and catch the game. We were happy with the amount of HD TV's inside this place and the placement of the booths makes it easy to see. Decor was classy, the food was not shabby and the service was ok (a little disoriented at times), too. We went for the calamari appetizer, crabcake sandwich, and cajun chicken sandwich. All items came to us piping hot which is a change from most sports bars where the food seems to veg out under a lukewarm heatlamp prior to delivery. Would head back to this location to catch a game and also to try the "theater" side (full of Redskins fans) at the time.

This is the perfect place to watch sports, provided you get there early enough to get a seat. Seats go fast on NFL Sundays and UFC fight nights. There are six huge projection screens and several other smaller flat screens, so any game you could want to see will be on somewhere. The menu isn't huge, but the sliders, the wings, and the bbq prime rib sandwich (when they have it) are awesome. There is a good beer selection and the waitresses are very attentive (Daisy!). I was there recently and was told that the mechanical bull is being removed. I have no idea what is going in its place.

I suppose my review will be different than most, as I don't go to Lucky's for the bar, I go for the dining room. I think they have really great food, generous portions, and the staff is nice. (Young, but they take care of you and are pleasant). Try the Chicken or Shrimp Griller, they're awesome, and my wife loves the Diane salad. You can't go wrong with steaks. Check it out, good stuff.

A good place to watch sports, except for the SMOKE. I and many others would spend more time there without the smoke. The management should get a clue and realize the smokers will still come if they and can outside and smoke. Now, I'll go to Buffalo Billiards instead just because of the SMOKE. Buffalo took the hint and stopped the inside smoking and I'm sure it didn't hurt them and actually improved the number and type of customers. If it wasn't for the SMOKE I would have given Lucky's 4 stars. Lucky's, please take a hint and stop the smoking inside! I and others who value their health will surely be back if you do.

Another really good meal at Lucky's. This was our third time eating here (in the dining room area), and I once watched a college football game in the bar/gaming area. The food has been really good: we've enjoyed the Salmon Salad, the Rib-eye with pepper corn sauce, the baby-back ribs, and this time the build-your-own hamburger and the club sandwich. The service was first rate, with our server not only remembering us from our previous visit but also remembering our drink preferences. We will definitely keep Lucky's on our list of places to go for a good meal.

Good bar food. Decent beer selection. Good place to watch the game. Haven't tried the dinning room. Bar table service reliable but could've been quicker. Dig the large draft beer size, value for the $$.

I love this place! I've only been on the restaurant side during lunch or dinner and I've never been there during games , so the sports and bar aspects are not what I'm covering here. What I have experienced is top notch service and a good dining experience. I usually get a salad with Ahi tuna on top...last time I had the prime rib. It's always been tasty with excellent warm buns brought to the table before the entrees are delivered. During one trip (2 yrs ago) the manager stopped by the table and asked how the meal was. My husband and I raved and the manager had a chocolate dessert sent over to the table! My review is only covering the restaurant side of the business and the other bar/games side of the place is kept completely separate, so keep that in mind when reading this review along with the others.

I am shocked to see so many high reviews for this place. The menu competes with Mike Grill, in Springfield, unfortunately Lucky's cannot compete. The food at Lucky's is not good at all. The first few times there i thought maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, but that wasn't the case. It's very smokey and I cannot understand why they have a kids night when the place is filled with smoke. I will not go back.

I'll say 3.5. This is for the bar side. Absolutely love the atmosphere. Food is great (if you can taste it without the menthol aroma.) Beer selection is good too. Drawback...SMOKE. I realize this is one of the last places where you can still smoke indoors but its almost as if the black lung society smokes more knowing this. So ventalation definitely needs to be improved. Additionally, I rarely see anyone playing most of the games. I'd recommend losing some and adding tables. On big game / fight nites, tables fill up quickly.

Had a beer the other night for the first time there with friends and as you first walk in you will notice a nice and clean sports bar establishment. The place has a hand full of video games, some pool tables, and I believe a dart board. You will be amazed to watch your favorite sports on their many HD flat screen's. This is no hole in the wall sport's bar and a good place to take the kids.

revised review from 2 stars to 1 after a recent second visit for the UNC-Duke game. same problems as the first visit, but the waitress really seemed too distracted to serve me beer. I was there to drink heavily and wasnt able to get beers fast enough to do so. Epic bar fail.

This isn't really the type of place to take a family or even a date. It's in the same vein as Bungalows(right across the shopping center), Outback or any other suburban bar. Food is meh and the crowd is hard to stomach.

Only one way to discribe this place, a mini Dave n Busters.

16 of us came here for lunch, and we all left vowing never to come back. They tried to give us $5 gift certificates for our bad experience, but we all refused them. 4 of us ordered cheese-steaks, and all were dry and crispy... one guy didn't get his order before all of us had finished our meal (which we waited a LONG time for... over an hour). I had asked for the manager and never even bothered to come and talk to us. All in all, we were there for 2 hours... absolutely ridiculous. Maybe is was a bad day, but none of us will take a second chance! They lost what could have been a LOT of business! Sorry, but this place deserves a bad review.

Great place to watch Sports, with tons of very large High Def screens. Tough to get a seat if you don't show up early and the food is not bad...the wings are the best thing there.

This is a place where my guys and i go to get a good piece of meat grilled. I have eaten here several times now and have never had a bad meal. They have a restaurant area for a quiet meal and a bar with plenty of games to play and TV's to watch. I would recommend this place over Bungalows wich is in the same parking lot any day.

My wife and I went in for dinner on a recent Sunday evening. Despite the fact that the dining room was almost empty, our waiter seemed to have a real problem with his timing. We waited almost 10 minutes for a glass of wine, then ordered appetizers. The seared tuna was delicious, but the lobster bisque was over-salted and thick. Just as we were halfway through our appetizers, our salad was brought out. Had no one suggested to this clueless individual that we may have wanted to finish our first course before having plates shoved onto the table? True to form, our waiter brought out the main course just as we were halfway through the salad. At this point, I was over the salad anyway (their house dressing isn't worth ordering) and moved on to the main course. Dinner was average. The steak was properly cooked, and the mashed potatoes were ok, but nothing to write home about. Wine was under-poured. For $8 I expect a bit more than 4 oz! As a sports bar this place may do well, and I'm sure the pub-fare is passable. Despite having similar items and pricing, their kitchen doesn't hold a candle to any of the Great American restaurants (Mike's, Coastal Flats, Sweetwater Tavern, etc.) For my money, it's not worth the price for dinner.

Ok college bar with reasonable drink prices esp in dupont circle. Seems people just hang out in their own cliques too scared to mingle with strangers. Lame 99.5 kinda dj with same bland cast of college people. It has personality and def a sports bar with all the plasmas. Cool little upstairs bar near the bathroom..perfect for after you break the seal.

I have very very mixed emotions....I used to frequent the Kingstowne/Manchester bar scene pretty often (note: this scene includes Bungalow Billiards, TGIFridays, Chili's, etc), it was a matter of geography and I was there so I went there. After moving to DC dollar beer Thursdays soon were over for me. However many of my friends still live in the Kingstowne area and when I do come down to visit Bungalows is where we usually end up going. A couple months ago I got word that a new bar opened up and it was all the buzz..... OMG Somewhere else to go other then Bungalow "Bungs". Lucky's shares the same parking lot as Bungalow and as I entered I realized they shared the same clientele and half the wait staff. As a sports lover I enjoyed all the big screens...I was already whipping up reasons to come back for some games. Everything seemed to be broken up into sections like: restaurant, bar, arcade....I think I might have enjoyed it more, if there was a better flow. I love how the owner (who i hear is young and loaded and lives in Woodbridge and owns a few other restaurants and has like 9 nine cars) had his porsche out front with rock star parking (I came back another time and he had a hot Mercedes out there). I am a pro arcade basketball player...so I loved showing off. They also have an awesome Horse racing simulator. The crowd......ehhhh local loadies, some ghetto kids, nothing exciting. I think they are a good addition to the area, if your tired of darts and pool its something else to do.
