If you are someone who cannot resist tasty food, then at Zaxby's you can always try the Zalads. The best part about these salads is that you can customize it as per your needs. Make it grilled, fried or just go for the garden which can make your salad healthy and low on calories.
Foods to Avoid at Zaxby's for Diabetics
If you are diabetic, you must skip all the Drinks served at Zaxby's. There are only a couple of no sugar drinks, but they are merely empty calories and don't contain any nutritional value. You must also avoid food items on the Popular menu at Zaxby's such as Buffalo Chicken Finger plate and Chicken Finger Plate. These items are high in sugar and sodium which can be harmful to diabetics. You must also keep the Chicken wings order to a maximum five to control your sugar intake. Avoid BBQ, Teriyaki, and Sweet & Spicy sauces in your Chicken wings order.
Instead of ordering fried chicken wing servings, you can always request for a grilled sandwich with lettuce, onion, and tomatoes to counter high blood pressure. A sandwich calorie count can range between 900 to 1600 calorie which can be reduced by asking for healthier options.
Foods to Avoid at Zaxby's for High Blood Pressure
If you have high blood pressure, then you must avoid Boneless wings and Club Sandwich at Zaxby's. You should also skip Kickin' Chicken Sandwiches as well as Chicken Finger Sandwich to control your blood pressure levels. You must also skip the chicken wings with multiple dressings and sauces at Zaxby's from the popular menu. these food items on Zaxby's menu contain a very high amount of sodium.
You should also skip salted fries at Zaxby's with your wings or sandwich as fries will spike the sodium levels unnecessarily. It is also recommended not to try Zappetizers such as Buffalo Dip and Tater Chips, Tater Chips, and Side of Tater Chips Onion Rings if you wish to limit your sodium intake.
Food suggestions for High Blood Pressure at Zaxby's
If you are supposed to restrict your calorie count, then try any of the zalads and club it up with a sandwich to fill your stomach with delicious food. To curb the cravings for deep fried food, opt for a small portion (5) of boneless wings and chicken fingerz.
Instead of ordering fried chicken wing servings, you can always request for a grilled sandwich with lettuce, onion, and tomatoes to counter high cholesterol. A sandwich calorie count can range between 900 to 1600 calorie which can be reduced by asking for healthier options.
Foods to Avoid at Zaxby's for High Cholesterol
Salads are often great and considered healthy. However, if you have high cholesterol, then you must be careful while ordering salads or shall we say Zalads at Zaxby's. Fried Cobb salad contains high-fat content which can spike your LDL cholesterol levels. Most food items on Zaxby's menu are high in fat content if you increase the quantity. Instead of opting for 10 or 20 chicken wings from the menu, opt for 5 traditional chicken wings to control your cholesterol balance.
If you have any allergies don't eat at zaxby's!!! I ordered I cob salad No bacon using the drive thru. I told them that I am allergic to bacon twice while ordering and again at the pickup window. The level of incompetence is unforgivable. I looked before eating and didn't see any bacon. I started eating and found Bacon in the salad. Whoever made the salad picked the Bacon off the top of my salad and didn't even do a good job of it. They didn't bother making a fresh salad for someone with allergies. I have been vomiting and dry heaving for over 12 hours. So if you have any allergies don't eat at zaxby's! they will try to kill you like they did to me!!!

Another fast food chicken place. The food was ok. I had the chicken finger plate with chicken, fries, coleslaw, and Texas toast. The chicken itself was fairly average. The chicken sauce, I thought was pretty salty. Was like fry sauce with added season. The fries were pretty good I though. And the slaw was average, but on the good side of average

I ordered the chicken finger plate. I don't like coleslaw so they let me choose from a variety of other sides. I ignored the healthier options like celery sticks and added more fries. I also ordered a premium shake in birthday cake flavor. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Efficient without rushing you through the ordering process. The customer before me was having a hard time making decisions and the asst manager was being patient and explaining all the options. When the lobby person realized it was taking a while she immediately went to another register and took my order. The fries... Love em. Crinkle fries that aren't soggy. And the seasoning, perfect. I don't know why you get toast with this meal but it was a pleasant surprise. The cake batter shake was disappointing. The taste itself was ok but the sprinkles in the shake are hard and don't add value to the experience. If the shake was is a clear container where you could see the sprinkles it might add visual appeal. A surprise with the shake was the whipped cream, it's chocolate. With all that said, I wouldn't pay $3.69 for this shake again. Now the best part of the meal...chicken fingers. The batter tastes great, definitely not an afterthought. Crunchy exterior and moist chicken. Win, win, win! My mom had the chicken salad and tea. She loves both. I think she has found her new tea stop! I will be back! As I was preparing to click continue on this review I looked up to see the asst manager in the back put food in his mouth and then continue working. I changed my review to 4 stars for this reason. Never eat where customers can see you, not only is it unprofessional, it's unsanitary.

Five stars for service and three for food. I was feeling low and so my sweet husband drove me clear out to West Valley (to hell and gone if you live by the U of U) So I could get some sweet tea. The server, Brian, was just 100% charming and helpful and proud of his clean restaurant and food selection. Chicken salad with grilled chicken was flavorful and really good. Chicken fingers seemed dry to me. But I'd eat there every day of they were oser for that sweet tea. Brian even made me a fresh batch because I wanted more tea. I won't set foot in a Chick Fil A and one is 1/2 mile from my house. So here's to you Brian and staff. Please build something farther east.

The Zaxby in Midvale is much better. This was just okay. No sauces offered for the chicken fingers, and they were a bit dry. I hate the camouflage promo right now. I admit I almost turned and walked back out. Get rid of the gimmick, please. Several dirty tables, and it wasn't even busy, so someone could have been out there cleaning.

I wanted to love Zaxby's because I'd heard such great things, but my opinion of the joint all boiled down to me feeling like complete and utter crapola after eating here from all the grease. It's a great place to carb load, I'll give them that. And the fries were tasty. The chicken tenders are good, but I hated the boneless wings, should have gotten bone in. And the fried mushrooms were good at first, but after a couple I couldn't ignore the oil dripping out of them when I bit into them. Loved the buttery toast that came with the plate, and the milkshake was so good. It is a legit drinkable milkshake, not a thick ice cream abomination you have to eat with a spoon.

First let me say I don't eat a lot of fried food. The chicken was tender, crispy, and had a good taste. I probably will not be back it is just not my kind of place.

I had never heard of Zaxby's until they came to Utah. After reading all the reviews and looking at all the pictures on Zaxby's online website, something about this establishment resonated with me. Zappetizers? Zalads? Mealz? Platterz? and Fingerz? I...must...go.... We spent over thirty dollars to get a full sample of the offerings. Verdict? Purge City.

This place is great! I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and it may be the best I ever had. That, or it's my cheat day and this just tastes great! The bun is buttery and toasted while the chicken is moist. Staff here are very friendly and super helpful on choosing from the menu as a first-timer.

I'm a huge fan!! I wish I could give a great, well rounded review, but the reality is I've only ever had the blue buffaloed salad. It is perfection for me! I do appreciate the flavored soda machine.

A little too pricey for just chicken and fries that aren't good in quality, the food there isn't all that great. I'm just going to stick with chickfila and Popeyes.

I was excited to try it until the second we walked in. My husband and I both slipped on the greasy floors at the front counter. The was a huge turn off because it made the whole place feel dirty. The food was WAY greasy and barely mediocre. It was pretty pricey for the quality. But thanks to Zaxbys, their food was greasy enough to trigger my first gallbladder attack and a diagnosis of stones. I had my gallbladder out immediately and now feel better. Thanks but no thanks Zaxbys!

We finally got a chance to try this place out. unfortunately I will be paying for this 1st time experience for the rest of the day. I ordered a club and got a plateful of grease with a side of grease. everything was fried, buttered, buttered & fried. they also have one of those cool soda machines that will add every flavor into the soda of your choice, oh unless you want a flavored regular coke. all I wanted was a vanilla coke, is that to much to ask for. then they have this funky fry sauce, fry sauce is ketchup and mayo mixed. this was not fry sauce there were multiple seasonings and other stuff. why would I want seasoned fry sauce with seasoned fries. weird. NOT EVER GOING BACK. I you like grease, this is your place.

Great place for fast food, nothing fancy. The fried cheddar bites where very good and the wings I had did not disappoint, I would have rated this place a 7 but then an associate came to our table and asked if we needed anything else, that made our experience here a whole lot better. Be aware they only serve chicken, but the staff here is super friendly and I will return, especially because they also have a coca cola freestyle machine.

Stopped in for lunch, opted for the Kick'in Chicken combo. The sandwich was pretty good, fried tenders smothered in ranch and kickin wing sauce on texas toast. The problem, the toast, it was soaked with butter or more likely a butter substitute, that really took away from the overall enjoyment. The combo comes with a drink and fries (there may be other options instead of fries). The fries were fat crinkle cuts and they were pretty darn good. The drink was a serve yourself affair when dining in, they have the coke machine with the 100+ choices, unfortunately they only have one and the line was long and slow to get a drink. Service was fast and friendly, overall a good experience I will try them again but avoid anything that comes on texas toast.
I am a certified 100% fast food-chain restaurant junkie. It is a sickness. I literally search out chain restaurants when I go to a new city. I need help. With that being said I found Zaxby's and after landing at SLC I beelined, in the Beehive State, to this location. Ordered the 5 piece Chicken Fingerz with Zax sauce. The chicken was good and flavorful and the Zax sauce had a nice pepperness to it. Overall I was a touch underwhelmed. It felt like KFC. good not great. Zaxby's is not in the same class as Raising Canes and Guthrie's.

The food, DELICIOUS! The staff, young but attentive, The owner. Well hes a dick. Back to the food though, its super delicious and real chicken is so nice from a fast food joint. Another bone to pick is they are nazis about sauces and giving you the right ones no matter how thoroughly you explain what it is you want. I love it there, will keep going there but it'd be nice if the owner could get some oxygen instead of breathing his own farts with his head so far up his.........

Really? Do we need a bad KFCulversDickies? Crinkle fries took me back and confirmed the taste of elementary school lunch. Food was blah and expensive. Their house sauce is super salty fry sauce with chunks in it. Was confused as to why our meals came with white buttered toast... probably something to take up a lot of plate space. Nice friendly staff though.

The service is great..however, the food is prepared sloppy and inconsistent. The chicken is good but be prepared for a gut bomb feel with the fried chicken..the excessive butter on the buns and then add a fried side dish. The seating area is kept at a very low 60 ' s temp. So we have to wear our coats to eat. . I can only stand the place e on occasion only.

I was really excited to see Zaxbys finally made it to utah because I grew up in Georgia and Florida and hadn't had their chicken since I was a kid. Major nostalgia happening here. I insisted going there for dinner to my girlfriend and mother. They got the classic chicken finger plate and I got the wingz n thingz, which is basically a chicken finger plate but half chicken wings and half tenders minus the coleslaw add celery sticks. I was quite shocked to find this meal to be $9 and NOT include a drink. My girlfriend and mother upgraded their meals to large for an additional $2.50 which brought them up to $9 each and they didn't come with drinks either. A large drink is ANOTHER $2.50 on top of your already $9 meal. Making our grand total for three people $40!!! three large FAST FOOD meals should NOT be $40! Call me cheap but I've been to nice steakhouses will lower prices for a helluva lot more. Now aside from the outrageous prices, the food is pretty darn good and brought back great memories. Love the zax sauce and that toast is perfect. I just can't pay $40 for fast food..

Stay away from the boneless wings, undersized deep fried batter balls. 5 piece combo meal was almost 8 dollars, they were terrible...

This is an obligatory review from Zaxby's biggest fan. I can (and may) post this review about each location I visit, simply because the truth is relevant to every location. The food is the same no matter which Zaxby's you visit, even though the service or prices might vary slightly. If you are a beginner to Zaxby's, I strongly recommend that you get something like a "Big Zax Snack" or something with regular chicken tenders and some sides. You should definitely be dipping your chicken into Zax sauce. It will change your life. If you're a ranch fan, that would also be a wise choice, but do NOT pass up on the chance to try (and fall in love with) Zax sauce. Zaxby's is all about the sauce! Now, as for my favorites, my "usual" typically includes Hot Honey Mustard fingers (ordered as "Buffalo Fingers, hot honey mustard"). The Hot Honey Mustard is not spicy, but does have a "zing" to it. It is not like any honey mustard you have had before. Chicken fingers tossed in this sauce are like heaven, yet I still will sometimes dip these into ranch, for a sauce combo punch! It's not crazy, as you will sense later. I also have a great love for the "Tater Chips". I love them best when they are "semi-floppy", and not all the way crispy, but they are still amazing no matter the texture. Dip these bad boys in a sauce of your choosing, but I tend to prefer Ranch :) . Another good choice is the "Kickin Chicken Sandwich". Normally I'm not a sandwich fan, as this is a chicken place, the focus should be on the chicken. Well, there is nothing new with this sandwich, because it's basically composed of the "Texas Toast" with some tenders, with a combo of two sauces (Tongue Torch and Ranch by default). It is customizable with whatever two sauces you want, but the default is good too (think hot wings + ranch). This sandwich is terrible for you, I'm sure, since it's super greasy toast, with chicken and two sauces, but OH MAN it is good. Now, no review would be complete without the downside. There is of course the "downside" that you will become addicted to Zaxby's, and you will end up turning over many a paycheck to these guys, but all deserved for sure. There are some things at Zaxby's that I don't eat, just because. When you order "buffalo fingers", you can choose your sauce to toss them in, these are conventionally served with celery. If I order this online, I have them hold the celery (I don't want it, so you can keep it). I do not eat Zaxby's "bone-in" wings because their chicken tenders are WAY better. I also do not eat the "boneless wings". This is a somewhat newer addition to the Zaxby's menu, but are not as good as the tenders. Do yourself a favor, and stick to the good stuff: Chicken fingerz, buffalo fingerz (hot honey mustard being the best), some Texas Toast, fries, tater chips, mushrooms, or Kickin Chicken Sandwich. My dad loves the slaw so much, he has been known to go through the drive thru JUST for the slaw. I have gone through just for the sauces.
