Amazing Comics! Hardworking Wait Staff!

I love the chain of wiseguys comedy clubs in Utah. I need to get out more to them. They always get in great comedians for shows. They have a great snack menu. Tthey only serve beer and thankfully they have some good ones. I will be back for sure.

This is a pretty small comedy club very popular among locals. We were lucky enough to see Marcus from the Last Comic Standing there last night and my face is still sore from laughing so much. They require you to buy at least one drink per person, but the prices are pretty low and tickets are $15 a pop so it's kinda cheap.

Keith Stubbs, owner of Wiseguys provides Utah a great service by bringing the best comics in the nation to Salt Lake. Because Keith is such a great guy the comics keep wanting to come back again and again. They have food and drinks to fill your belly as you laugh out loud to the comics. There is a variety of food from burgers to salads. Check their calendar or like them on Facebook to see who is coming next.

Sloooooooow service and cold food.....didn't use to be this way. It was good though but took forever to get drinks too!

3.5 stars thus far. The establishment is cool but it's always understaffed. But I go for the laughs. The food is ok, nothing special and priced high for the quality of it compared to other spots. The only alcohol option is beer and that too is priced about $1+ higher than other places. Ordering takes forever, not including delivery time. So as stated in my tip always order a few beers at one time. From the time you sit down it will take 10 to 15 minutes to get your order in and another 10 to 15 minutes to get your booze (longer on food). But all in all it's a good spot for nightly comedy. The staff is friendly just undermanned.

This Wiseguys Comedy venue isn't as nice as the new downtown location, but the humor is just as good if you're into live standup. Parking can be limited, and the waiting area is small. They only serve a couple varieties of beer - no liquor or wine. If you haven't eaten, they have some basic food options to choose from. The loaded fries hit the spot for me.

A friend invited me to come to wiseguys saying it was so much fun. She told me her friend who is a hypnotist was doing a show so i decided i'd go. I have to say i had no idea what to expect when i walked into there. You first come in and it almost looks like its going to be a store. Once you get into the back there are a bunch of seats and the stage of coarse. We sat right in the front row to ensure we didn't miss anything. The show started and the guy asked for volunteers. I jumped right up and ran onto the stage. half way through the show i was asked to come off of the stage because i wasn't hypnotized deep enough i guess. At first i was kinda disappointed but later i was happy it happened because i got to have a couple beers and enjoy the show. I will for sure be coming back to wiseguys.

Unless you are going to see a specific comic, do not come here. I used to have fond memories of this place but that was maybe 8 years ago. The entire time the jokes were just about Mormonism. Yes I used to be Mormon but really i can't take hours of this. we had some beers, but eventually i couldn't stand how unfunny the entire thing was and had to leave. i thought i might be crazy but the 3 other people i were with felt the same and left with me. I paid as soon as possible so I could get out. while exiting, one of the guys asked if i paid my tab, which i had. they asked my friend why everyone was leaving, she replied "it wasn't funny, it was all just about mormons". He said "at least we got their money". Good thing we paid a very discounted price on groupon. Being that we all work incredibly close to this location, we'll be spending our money on other venues.

I had never been to Wise Guys in West Valley before but I got a chance to come and see Felipe Esparza from last comic standing and he was hilarious. The actual comedy club is pretty small and they have an ok bar-food menu and offer beer. I came to the 7:30 show and service was great and quick. As I walked out I could see the long line for the next show, so I plan on coming early next time again so I never have to deal with the crowds.

So much fun! Beer is reasonably priced - comedian was great - kindof a beat up venue but was a great night. Reasonably priced tickets for the show as well.

3 reasons to go to Wiseguys 1. They bring the best comics to SLC, old and new. 2. Fun environment and totally relaxed with great service on food and beverage. 3. You'll laugh till it HURTS! This is a great place to end up on a weekend night or any night they're open for that matter. Wiseguys brings in some of the biggest names in comedy as well as great up-and-comers. If you can't decide what to do this weekend, check out Wiseguys. I've never left this place without a goofy grin on my face.

Wiseguys is the only reason great comedy comes through Utah. I love seeing my favorite comedians there and I love the affordable shows with local comedians like Marcus and Jay. The food is also great.
(5)Becky B.
Went there on amateur nite. 5 bucks and well worth it. Beer selection and food is mediocre. Overall fun.

Wise Guys in WVC is an awesome comedy club. Great comedians, great staff, and great beer. I have been her numerous times (Joey Diaz, Tom Green, Steve-O, Charlie Murphy, etc...) and would highly reccomed it to anyone. Joe Rogan tonight, I am anticipating this show will be the best one yet! Wise Guys rocks!
(5)Sean W.
Great comedians and fun crowd. Will go again!!! Only have beer to choose from so if you are drinker don't get mad. Waiters come by often to check on you throughout the show.
(5)Nikki J.
I love watching open mic nights and had to check out Wise Guys while visiting SLC on business. The comics were great and it was a nice evening except for two important things: #1: it was too cold to take off my coat (I believe sincerely that it was warmer outside on this January evening) and #2: when it came to wait service, I was completely ignored for most of the show. A nice gentleman alerted a waitress because he was observant but by the time she came over, I couldn't bring myself to order anything and decided to get a late dinner elsewhere.
(3)Dylan M.
I love going to Wiseguys! They book the big names! Try the Famous Nachos!
(5)Matthew B.
I would have given five stars, but the seating is strange. the majority of the seats don't actually face the stage. Also, you're forced to buy one menu item. They have awesome talent there, which makes it worth it. I plan on going back for Drew Carey!
(4)Travis B.
We were treated to a fantastic night of belly laughs (I have a lot of belly so this is no small feat). We came to see the very funny Aisha Tyler and had an amazing night. The entire lineup was hilarious and we had a great time. The club is small and very intimate. The service is VERY slow. If you order drinks they will bring them to you 2 at a time with enough time in between for you to sober up and order again. I saw the waitress three times the entire evening, that is including bringing us our check. That means in the 2 hours we were there I saw our waitress once an hour. The comedy and the comedians will keep us coming back....and the service will keep me sober.
(3)Dan T.
Saw Jay Mohr here last night. Great venue. Small, yummy snacks. Good beer. I dig.
(4)Chelsea M.
Steve Soelberg was hilarious!! Best show ever! The fat bald guy... NOT funny. Making fun of sensitive topics like divorce, porn addiction, religion.... not cool. I'm glad the other comics were more creative and talented and could keep a show CLEAN AND FUNNY! :)
(5)Craig B.
Okay: 1. This is not a restraunt or a bar. If you're going to want multiple items order them up front. The servers don't want to be running all over the place during the show and getting in folks way. Differet sort of service for a different sort of place. 2. Servers are busting their buns. I got a great sense that they were giving it their all. 3. Great talent. 4. Good seats and excellent sound.
(5)Allie W.
Recently revamped the menu, but looks like there are still no gluten-free options. If you can't serve hard liquor it would be nice to throw a cider or something on there to diversify a bit.
(3)Maggie P.
I had a great time while I was at wiseguys! the comedians are awesome and the serivce is great. We arrived just before show time and still got great seats! I had a great time and I can't wait to go back again! woo!
