Great place......good food and really reasonable. The Shrimp in chili sauce appetizer was really good. Perfectly cooked shrimp. Don't let the decor fool you.....this place is worth it.

First time I went there it was decent. This last time was not great for me. My husband had the pho and that was pretty good. I had the Moo Yang and I wouldn't recommend this dish. It was a plate of dry pork on a bed of lettuce with a side of white rice. I know they can do better than that.

Horrible food. Manager just said thats the way he cooks and sorry.

I was very disappointed. I've eaten here once, and though I wasn't poisoned nor treated disrespectfully, I feel nonetheless that a rating of one star is appropriate because I didn't enjoy it enough to ever go back (I even threw away my leftovers). I ordered chicken Penang and Thai ice tea. I've had chicken Penang a thousand times, at a hundred different restaurants, and this was the worst of them all! Also, I have never had it with pineapple in it. It doesn't work at all! And though the menu said it was sweet, I thought this meant just a touch of sweetness (due to a little brown sugar or palm sugar) like most recipes, but the primary flavor should be savory. This was pure sweet, no savory. And the Thai ice tea tastes like water, its sweetness masked by the Penang. The server said the Penang was his dad's recipe and that his dad combined influences from Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos.

The food was fantastic and the service was fast. One way I judge a restaurant is by the cleanliness of the bathroom which was perfectly clean. Give this place a try.

Ordered Masaman and Panang curry, fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce, side order of white sticky rice. It was ok but it didn't taste like they used fresh, quality ingredients. Tasted like frozen vegetables & meat. Curries tasted a little watered down, not as vibrant as it could be. Peanut sauce was also flat. Sticky rice was pretty good. Even though it wasn't a foodgasmic experience I will probably give them another chance next time I'm craving Thai. No other Thai in my neighborhood. Miss living in Sugarhouse.

This was great! A little hard to see from the street but it was well worth it to go. Went last night and had pot stickers, Wok fried veggies with chicken and noodles with beef. These are the non-spicy entries and they were great. I will definitely go back for more!

Large portions but lacked true Thai flavor. I ordered basil Chicken and majority of plate was green peppers and beans. I think I would look for another restaurant next trip to SLC

After craving pad siew all day I decided to go here since it was close to home. I'm so upset! I ordered the pad siew and it was not pad siew!! It just looked like Chinese style stir fry flat noodle. Besides that the service wasn't that good either. Our waitress didn't even come and help us or see how our table was doing. The owner I assume is sitting at a table next to us talking to other customers and just talking crap about other Thai restaurants which I thought was very unprofessional.
(1)Mylan D.
I ordered the beef pad Thai and it was ok. There was a lot of sauce that over flowed the plate, where I'm used to it having just enough to make the noodles wet. The atmosphere here is casual and empty. Tv is available to watch while you wait. The service was good, he refilled my water without asking. If I come back here, I will try the pho.

I've dined here a few times and I will definitely be back. The price is good for how much food they give you. We ordered the fried chicken and papaya salad and the spice level was perfect! I didn't really care for their curry. It was a little watered down but everything else was good.
(4)Terry K.
I love this place! Prices are decent, service is great, clean and cute little restaurant. Everything there is delicious, I have never been disappointed with the food there and services there.

After hearing great things about this place from my roommates I decided to try it, I ordered the fried spring rolls, Pad Kee-Mao (Crazy Spicy Noodle), and a Mtn. Dew. The Spring Rolls were good, but I'm pretty sure they were store bought and frozen. The Mtn. Dew never came to my table, had I not been the only one there I could have charted this up to being busy, but as I was, I was disappointed. The main dish was served, the portion was large and the flavor was great, but spicy it was not. The only heat the crazy spicy noodle possessed was from being cooked. I will give this place another shot in the future, the food was good, just not what I had expected.

This place is the best mostly because it's right next to my house. Yes there are some dishes that aren't great, the key is finding the best ones. Their Pad Thai, fried rice (any meat), sweet & sour chicken and potstickers are great! I do order the same thing every time I go. But all in all I enjoy Thai This very much.

Came here on a Sunday after a movie. It was midday, about 1 in the afternoon. This place was empty. We were literally the only ones in there, and you know what? That's totally OK with me. I enjoy empty places where I'm served really good pho. The server was kind, and we were in and out. The pho was excellent, no problems, and everything was clean. It wasn't a classy joint, but I didn't need classy. I just needed warm pho in my belly and Thai This provided it. I will probably Thai This again if I'm in the area.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! I had been counting the days until Thai This opened up because it is near my home and I adore Thai food. It surpassed my wildest expectations!!! I love the food and the people. They serve the best Pad Thai I have ever tasted and I've been to Thailand! The curries are to die for and their Mango Rice will be the death of me! I've recommended Thai This to friends and family, and those who have tried it have enjoyed it as much as I do.

I love Thai food. This place has great food, well priced, and great service. I didn't like their Pad Thai, I've just been spoiled else where and can't find anything I like as much as theirs. Anyway, I digress. My wife loves their Massaman curry, and I would agree with her, I also love every curry I've tried there. The only complaint I have is when I order to go there isn't enough rice. Last time I paid for extra rice and got too much. When you are in the restaurant I feel I get a perfect amount of rice. Yea, odd. Anyway, it is on the east side of 5600 West. In a small parking lot. It is a small area for dinning in but I love the atmosphere there. I've never had bad service. Really, give it a try. You will be impressed.

Yum Yum!! Me and everyone at my work frequent this place 1-2 times a week. Its delicious and the service is good, Jenny is the best. I love it, I recommend it, yummy pho, pad thai, pad kee mow is good, and not bad curry!!
(5)Frank M.
Was just ok, was looking for something over the top. The food was good and the service was good. But overall it was good

This place is a joke. I eat Thai every day. Tried this place out and it's not even funny how bad the recipes and cook is. Chicken laab was brutal...it was a lot of stuff that doesn't even belong in the dish and not even prepared well...just thrown in a pan and mixed around. If you dont know Asian food you won't know any better. The guy working doesn't even speak Thai or any Asian language...pad gra pow beef looked like fajitas without tortillas.
(1)Tyler O.
Try the pad ke mow with beef and level 7 spicy. It is the best!!!! Great pho to. Very very nice people that work there to they always remember me and my girlfriend.
(5)Doug P.
I love the Pad Thai chicken and the yellow curry is fantastic. The fried rice is very good and the portion sizes are huge. The restaurant is clean and cozy and the owners and staff are incredibly friendly. If you like Thai food then definitely try Thai This.

I work out near Thai This and had not made it over there yet, I read the reviews and was excited to give it a try, bad decision! A co-worker and I went there for lunch, showing up late in the lunch hour and the place was pretty busy. It appeared there were only two maybe three people working and service was extremely slow. Being this was our first time we ordered a variety of items two entrees, Chicken Fried Rice and Korean BBQ Chicken and two appetizers, Pot Stickers and Chicken Satay. The BBQ Chicken came out first, after being there about 20 minutes, it was not what I expected, a big pile of dark meat chicken with bones, fat and skin and a few veggies. It did not look appetizing but had a good flavor and was very tender, you just had to pick through the pile to avoid the undesirable bits. The pot stickers came out about 15 minutes later, thank goodness they finally came my coworker was starving at this point. The Pots tickers were OK, I have had better and I have had worse. Finally the Chicken fried rice came out another 10 minutes later, it was not worth the wait, the rice had decent flavor but the chicken was very dry. Yet another 10 minutes passed and the Chicken Satay finally hit the table. I ordered the Satay because of a pic I saw here on Yelp, it looked good but was extremely dry and flavor was mediocre. All and all the experience was very bad, service and food delivery style horrible, food flavor mediocre and overpriced. Not sure if I went to the same place as the other reviewers (?) or maybe we just got them on a bad day or ordered the wrong thing, nevertheless, we will be hard pressed to ever return.

I absolutely love this place! I rarely eat in but always get it to go! It's a must for easy to go! I took my father on his birthday and he was in love. We usually get the pad Thai beef and a few choices of curry. Which are all amazing.

Mango sweet rice was delicious. Didn't like their pad Thai on my second time trying this place. Wasnt authentic. And no lunch specials kind of blow. A bit pricey.
(3)Matthew C.
I like this place it's just as good as tea rose or chanon thai, the prices are awesome! The food is flavorful! The service was good! Every time I'm out this far I will go here!
(5)Alan L.
I came to this restaurant looking for a place to eat Pho in the West Valley area. My first inclination of it is that it is pretty good, but the more times that I have been there, it hasn't really been up to par to my expectations. I guess they have on and off days. I have also been having their yellow curry. If you are into a milder, sweeter curry, then yellow is for you. Make sure to ask for more rice because you are going to need it. :) And if you are into mango, you should try their mango with sweet rice dessert, it is yummy!
(4)Cody R.
This place has some of the best Thai food in the state. Everything I have tried is always amazing and I strongly recommend the red curry. It comes in chicken or beef, but they also will substitute tofu. Come try this place out if you haven't, you won't be disappointed.

I have always had a great experience here. I am an avid food eater and I have plenty of Thai food from various locations in the Salt Lake Valley. This is by far the best bang for your buck. And maybe I am bias because I get great customer service here. Jenny is very very friendly and always strives to make my order awesome. Never fails to greet me with a big smile and sweet voice. Keep in mind, people are human, have bad days, get slammed and have to deal with regular life. But to give their customers a great service and trying their best -- that's great service. Never fails to give me a handful of candy at the end of my meal or on my to-go orders. The food is great. I get the curry, pad Thai, and Yum Nua (spicy beef salad) - but you can ask not too spicy. The flavors are great and food is fresh. I saw someone complain about the chicken and how it had bones. This is a Thai traditional plate. Perhaps they should let customers know it has bones, but you get a WHOLE chicken. Easy two meals out of that. A little bit of work, but the taste is worth it! This place is busy because it's good. I would encourage those who feel they had a "bad experience" to give it one more try before permanently reviewing with negative judgement.

This place has decent thai food..not the best but not the worse. My only problem here is the quality of food is inconsistent. Depending on who the chef is that day the food will be good or bad. I dont like that because if im paying for a meal I would like it to consistent. The last time I was there the food was so bad that I ended up trashing it. Dont get me wrong we went to this place for months but eventually just felt ripped off by the inconsistent quality.

Every now and then I have odd cravings-no, I'm not pregnant. Today I wanted Pho'. I have no idea why, I just NEEDED it. So, after scouring the interwebnets for something close to my work in BFE I found Thai This. Although I am no stranger to Thai (hello Tea Rose Diner!), I was new here. Can I just say this place was great!? It is a little hidden in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it sort of way, but no bother. It's a tiny little space, but unlike some other strip mall restaurants they use their space well. It was clean, well lit, and inviting. I take my lunch later so there were only a few people there so I wasn't sure if I needed to seat myself or wait so I headed to the counter and was immediately met by the nicest server ever. She promptly sat me, and gave me a menu to mull over. I decided on the fresh spring rolls and beef Pho'. My server was polite and knowledgeable. She offered to bring me a half order of spring rolls since I was getting a big fat bowl of Pho'. I kindly accepted and waited for my meal. Service was prompt, spring rolls were different, but tasty (they put pork in theirs and I am a die-hard for Tea Rose's), and the Pho' was speedy and piping hot. I am as white girl as they come and have only had Pho' thrice in my little life so I am in no way claiming to be a Pho' expert, but this was good. I decided today I don't like Thai Basil, but other than that I LOVED it. It was flavorful, filling, and HUGE (which was your nickname in high school). The only down side to Pho' is it doesn't doggie bag well thanks to those crazy rice noodles. If I hadn't gorged myself on fresh spring rolls I would have at least finished the broth, but sadly half of my soup was left unfinished to go the way of all cold soups: the garbage. The only thing I didn't like about Thai This is my server left before I was done with no goodbye or explanation on how to pay. I could have easily walked out upon completing my meal, but since I'm honest I went up to the counter and took care of bid'ness. So for that they lose a star, but that's only because I can't give a half of one. All in all Thai This was fast, cheap, easy, and delicious. (Which was MY nickname in High School.) If you're ever in BFE and have a hankering for Pho' give these guys a shot.

Fantastic food! And isn't that what we all want? Very large portions, almost family style eating. Easily a full second meal's worth of leftovers. Great service too, they gave us extra white rice for our take home leftovers. 4 of us ordered the Pad Si-Ew, Beef Pho, Tempura Shrimp, vegetable soup, BBQ Pork and Yellow Curry (very mild spice). The soup bowls are huuuuge. Yes it's in a strip mall but who cares. Very clean, quaint decor, good service and yummy food.... That's all I care about.

I keep a sailboat in a slip at the Great Salt Lake. At least I did until Friday, April 24th. It's now sitting on stands in the marina parking lot. Seems the GSL water level is so low there won't be enough water in the lake to even leave the marina this summer. Relevance? Well, I was headed home one Saturday afternoon from a day of sailing with my two youngest daughters and we were hungry for Thai. Yelp! found this place for us so we decided to give it a go. My kids had their usuals - Red curry and Massaman. I had Pad See Ew or Pad Ke Mao. I don't remember. I believe there was some chicken involved. My former favorite Thai place was Mekong. That ended. Then Andaman became my favorite but it went out of business. Now it's Thai This but they're 20+ miles from my home! Very good food, great portions, awesome service, amazing prices! Honest. It's waaaaay out of my neighborhood. They aren't open on Sunday. I don't know when I'll be back. But I'll be back. Honest.

Pretty bad meal, paid $11.31 for a pretty bad meal. I was kind enough to leave a $1 tip. The wait was extremely long (15 minutes). There were hardly even any customers when I walked in so was really unsure why it took as long as it did. Sad to say I paid and had to pack it all up myself. Towards the end the waiter did not appear to be as attentive and I left to get another meal elsewhere. I pad for 2 lunches because of this ordeal. The meal itself. Again the Thai tea was horrible. Too sweet!!! It had no resemblance of what I know to be "Thai Tea." When I got the food it was really watered down. I've posted a photo of one I believe was made by a different cook all together. You can see the difference is night and day. The waiters explanation is that the sauce had to be absorbed by the noodles? Really? You can clearly see the images I've uploaded of the 2 chicken pad Thai dishes are clearly different. The one that looks watery was the one I was given. Also, a customer walked in waited and waited and left because no one say him or even greater him. I should have made the same move. But anyway, I'm pretty sure I there won't be another time I come back. Good luck to the brave souls who go. My suggestion? Hire new staff (actually attractive women/men with an actual desire to help) and get a new cook! Not mad just really disappointed about food/service/and lost money on something I threw away.

Tried their Pud Thai - Sautéed Chicken & Masuman although all was tasty the sauce with the sautéed Chicken sauce was not something I would not order again.

We were confused by the front of the restaurant with signs that say "Thai & Pho" when looking at the menu we saw Thai, Laotian, and Vietnamese food all in one. I ask the gentleman that took our order where the chef is from and he said "Laos". So I wanted to try some Laab as I fell in love with it in Southern Cali, unfortunately it wasn't that great and wasn't prepared correctly and didn't have the right flavor. Next I tried the Pho and again it was lacking flavor too. The thinly sliced beef was most excellent, all 3 small pieces of it that were in my bowl. The Thai iced tea was great. Service was excellent, place was clean and quiet. Unfortunately the food wasn't to my liking and not sure I would return again.
