This place was really good we had breakfast I had the country steak with gravy my wife had the ham and cheese omelette and my granddaughter had the stack of pancakes it was more food then we could all eat it was really really good the scones they have for their breakfast are divine and they have some form of whipped butter with honey and jam to go with it we would highly recommend this place for food we will be back. The price was very fair the quantities were large and the service was excellent we would highly recommend this place

Nice country diner! Good diner food w lots of food. You get soup and salad and scone and potatoes and veggies w your dinner! Service is good. Price is reasonable too!

Overpriced and lacks quality. Customer service was okay though. Ate dinner her with hubby and daughter. He ordered the ribs with fries. Not good, but edible. I ordered the chicken strip dinner with mashed potatoes. Chicken strips were okay. The house gravy was not at all good and overpowered by evaporated milk. The best thing on my plate was the canned vegtables. Daughter ordered fish sticks. Scones weren't greater either

Great Reuben! Excellent rye bread, corned beef and kraut. Veggie soup was good but vegetarians should know that it has little pieces of meat. Everything was fresh and tasty. Alright service. Huge portions. I would split a full Reuben if you don't want a giant meal.

Poor food handling and the standard bland Utah food. Nothing special about this place and is best avoided.

Distills all that is tolerably weird about rural Utah culture into a tchotchke laden food hug. Feel free to slather your delicious, diabetes-inducing "scone" with a scoop from the softball size whipped butter bomb that lives on the table. Good pie and Disney-level service from Mavis (not her actual name, but it sure should be).

I don't enjoy writing bad reviews, but this is one that I felt had to be posted because my family and I were so excited to eat here on our way home to Washington state but we were greatly disappointed. I'll start with the good: *the atmosphere is nice. it's quite, homey, and casual. *the service is great. all the waitress were really sweet and kind. *the gift shop is super fun and would suggest anyone stop here just to walk around that portion of the restaurant. *the vanilla malts are great! *the reuben was okay too. and now for the not-so-good: *everything is pricy for what it is - there is nothing special on the menu but it's all priced for much more than it's worth. *the 'scones' are deep-fried bread, maybe that's a Utah thing, but in the Northwest scones are sweet and eaten at breakfast. *I don't think there were any real vegetables in my 'vegetable soup'... it was mostly orzo and thick broth. *my mother-in-laws salad came with much more than the description said on the menu which wouldn't have been a problem, but she has some food restrictions and had to pick quite a bit of her salad apart and the 'vinegar and oil' dressing was almost all oil, so she just are it plain. all in all - it's just not a good place to eat. there are tons of other restaurants in town and I feel confident that they are pretty much all better options than this place.

We came here for dinner, and were not overwhelmed by the quality of the food. It's just your slightly-less-than-average family-style restaurant, where the specialty seems to be fried food -- even the scones which our waitress raved about were fried! Very strange. They didn't really do anything for me. The salad and chicken fried steak were just...meh. Nothing to write home about. The grilled cheese was okay, but I would think it's really quite difficult to mess up something like grilled cheese. If you want a lot of food for an average price, but don't expect high quality, come here. Service was good, and the gift shop was interesting for a quick lookaround (also good if you need postcards to send home).

We actually only wanted to give 1/2 a star but that doesn't seem to be an option. Would love to comment on their food, but alas, I am unable. Here's why: The staff (a.k.a. D-bags) told us on the phone when we called to ask how late we could be seated that they were open until 9:00. We said, "so, if we get there at 8:45 you'll seat us?" the staff responded "we're open till 9:00" to which I asked, you close your doors at nine or you stop serving at 9:00?" again the staff responded "we're open till 9:00" making us feel like idiots for asking. We were coming in from out of town, had looked them up on yelp and were starving - we really rushed and got there at 8:40...and you guessed it... They refused to seat us. And were not very nice about it. And it was our only night in town. The restaurant was 1/2 full. So, we went to JB's down the street. ***my husband had some other choice words to describe the staff, but I thought d-bags would suffice.

This restaurant was recommended by a local at the hotel we were staying at. She said this is were the locals eat and has been around a long time. The look and feel of the resaurant was nice and had a good small town feel to it. Boy was I disappointed with the over all quality of the food. I had the prime rib which was the special of the night. It was the high light of the night. It was ok for prime rib. Maybe because it was fresh for that night. It came with veggies out of a can and instant mash potates. My wife had a top sirloin steak that tasted like it was thawed grilled hamburger meat. She sent that back and got the BBQ pork ribs. The ribs were boiled, baked and had a ton of BBQ sauce dumped on them. To call something BBQ it involves smoke. They tasted like boiled pork. Not good. Kids had burgers. I tasted one of them. I have to say I have tasted a better burger at a liitle league game. To top it off the bacon they used on the burger was the type of bacon you would find at a Subway. How hard is it to make some fresh hamburgers (instead of a frozen meat patty) and grill some thick smoked bacon? My money I spent there is quality why cant your food be? I wanted so much to like this place but I cant. Short cuts in the food buisness never works. This place could be good if they put a priority on quality and freshness. Granted there was quit a few people in there that night. I hate to write a bad review but if you dont know what fresh quality food is, then you just dont know.

Pleasant, down home enviroment where you feel everyone knows your name. Unusual menu choices make for a memorable experience. Food was great and service was with a smile.

Been back a few times since my first post and Happy to say they're still open. Good Halibut steak, good pork ribs and great broasted chicken (I guess broasting is some kind of pressure cooked/ frying method), I don't really care how it's done but can vouch for the great taste. The ribs have a lot of sauce on them but that scrapes off easy enough.

I'm not sure why the heading says this place is closed, but it was open on Saturday, Sept 4. We were in town for a friend's wedding and had some time to kill. This looked like a decent place for some down-home cooking. It was edible, but not good. Total pet peeve of mine- watery dressing that comes from a mix. I had bleu cheese with my salad and ranch with my fries. Many places have icky bleu cheese, but usually have good ranch. Not this place. I had the shrimp basket and it was tolerable. The service was awful! Some small towns make you feel welcome and happy to be there while others give you that 'children of the corn' creeps. Yeah, this waitress was of the latter variety. There is a cute gift shop attached and I thought about looking around, but didn't get the impression they wanted us to stay. The only bright spot was a TV that displayed trivia questions. We had fun seeing if we knew the answers. As we drove through the rest of the town, I saw quite a few other restaurants so skip this one!!

Walked in on a Saturday morning it wasn't too busy saw 2 servers on the floor and waited for 10 minutes before either one greeted us or even acknowledged that we were waiting. So I sat up front and read the menu the prices seemed reasonable and it says on the front cover that this restaurant was 3 generations strong. They must have been doing this so long that the workers are all grumpy. Finally we were sat down she grabs a wet clorox towel wipes off the table but leaves it completly wet where it was gross to touch and the menus stick to the table it was soaking. I had to ask for a dry towel the gave me one and I wiped up the access moisture from the table. Dumb! Well we ordered pancakes with eggs and sausage and country fried steak n eggs If you want good ol country heart attack with grease get it otherwise the best things was the hot cakes golden brown and tasty. The sausage was huge a patty almost as big as a small plate and tasted like McDonalds. As time went on the waitress was a little more friendly. The country fried steak was $9 and hotcakes were $8 If you wanted just a side of sausage it was $3.50 It was slow for coffee refillls. Over all it was ok but if your looking for something cheaper go to McDonalds. I don't think I'll be back.
