Bullberry Inn was the highlight of my trip in Utah. Larry and Teresa are amazing hosts - their knowledge of their area will make sure that you get the most out of your stay in Bryce Canyon. They also whip up a *killer* breakfast! (That coffee cake!) Very clean, accommodating and comfortable. Honestly, your stay in Utah would not be complete without a night (or two...) spent here. Highly highly highly recommend! I can't wait to go back...!

Larry and Theresa are quite welcoming. There were the most yummy chocolate chip - oatmeal cookies on the counter. Theresa was sweet enough to print a copy of the recipe for me. She helped make reservations for dinner at the Stonehearth, another five star establishment. The surroundings and home are charming in a SW way. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a smaller room on the first floor. The breakfast was substantial. Eggs, thick cut bacon, waffles with fruit, juice, coffee, etc. An absolutely great way to start the day especially if you have a long hike in Zion or Bryce planned. Advice. If you are a light sleeper you may wanna take the upstairs rooms. People get up quite early to see the sunrise at the park. A second floor room will aid in your sleeping in.

A clean, well appointed, comfortable B&B right outside of Tropic. The new owners, Larry and Teresa, are warm and friendly. They are very knowledgeable of the area and Larry is an excellent birder who can point you in the right direction. Prices are very reasonable. Breakfast is hearty as well as tasty. Spent 4 nights and would come back in a flash.

My husband and I went on a national park summer trip starting in Zion, then Bryce and ended in Grand Canyon. We booked two nites at Bryce Canyon lodge, but couldn't get a 3rd so ended up booking at Bullberry Inn. What a wonderful place with warm owners Larry and Teresa greeting us. Our room was separate from the main house above the garage. Nice big room and very clean. There are not too many restaurants in the town of Tropic so we ended up ordering pizza from the local place and brought it home to eat in the room! In the morning Larry and Teresa served us a great breakfast of OJ, fresh fruit and yogurt and a delicious blueberry french toast souffle!!! And endless coffee!! Highly highly recommend

Larry and Teresa are a great team and make a killer breakfast. Nice rooms, close proximity to Bryce Canyon and delicious baked goods. Would highly recommend this place to anyone spending time at Bryce Canyon!

Located in the town of Tropic on the east side of Bryce Canyon National Park, we found this little gem by chance while driving late in the day into Tropic from Capital Reef NP. Hosts Theresa and Larry, new owners, were most gracious and attentive to our needs. The rooms were somewhat small but VERY clean and modern. Their pricing was excellent and very affordable. Our favorite past time was sitting out on the covered veranda outside our room, just watching the surrounding scenery and incredible weather changes. In the morning, Larry was there bright eyed and ready with fresh brewed coffee. As for breakfast, we are light eaters and wanted a very early start, so we did not have time to partake! :-( As well seasoned B&B traveler's this little slice of paradise will definitely be on our list of "return to" comfort spots! The owners may be fairly new( purchased in 2013!) but we found them already well seasoned into the running of a great B&B! You don't want to miss this one!!!

Stayed here for 3 nights and couldn't have been taken better care of. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, the breakfast was cooked-to-order quickly and just delicious, and the hosts were simply awesome. It's a very quiet and relaxing spot for a very reasonable price. Thank you Wally and Nettie for an excellent time and for sharing your knowledge of the area and warm personalities with us. If you want to be in the middle of a mob scene with lots of noise and zero hospitality, then by all means stay in the park. But, if you want a clean, comfortable and quiet home away from home with fantastic hospitality then stay at the Bullberry Inn!

Wally, the owner of this B&B, told me there's a type of berry he calls a bullberry that only grows along a particular stream. He's tried to transplant them in order to grow more but they never survive away from that stream. The berries themselves are super-tart, but this can be cut by aging them in the freezer, and they can then be used to make jam, which his family has been doing for generations. As far as he knows, only one other family still makes them. I don't know the accuracy of this myself, but I do know I've never tasted a bullberry jam before I stayed here, that Yelp's spellchecker keeps underlining the word bullberry in red, and that the jam went great on my toast in the morning. Both Wally and his wife Nettie were very friendly to us, and the inn itself was really charming and clean. The personalities of the owners really come through on the decor, and the whole place seemed gleaming and new even though they said they've been open for years. Only negative I can think of is that the bacon and sausages were super (overly) well-done. Might not hurt to tell them to go easy on them if you stay here.

Stayed at the Bullberry Inn on May 30, 2011 for a one night stand as this was part of a nine night trip. This trip included stays throughout Arizona, Utah and Nevada as our home base is in Orange County California. The inn is clean and very comfortable, with friendly host and hostess. Of all the locations over the trip this was the best. Not the rush, noise and zero hospitality of location if you stay in the park. But if you want a clean, comfortable location away from home with fantastic hospitality then stay at the Bullberry Inn! Breakfast was cooked-to-order quickly and just delicious with home made bullberry jelly. The jamb has an unusual taste and we used the two samples for the next two days breakfasts of the trip. If ever within 100 miles of the location would defiantly stay again.

Tropic is about 10 miles EAST of Bryce Canyon a small town with limited facilities. Bullberry B&B is right on the main highway 12 but enough distance off the road not to have a lot traffic noise. Reservation was made directly with host by emails with ease and was correct upon arrival. The greeting was less than friendly however and host seemed confused and somewhat chaotic. Nettie did not introduce herself or say welcome nor really adequately show us around the establishment, as one would expect at a bed and breakfast. The room was clean, bright and nicely furnished with rustic log furniture, although one table was merely a TV table. Air conditioner was cheaply made and unattractively situated right in the front window. Screen on the front door was torn and unmaintained, private entrance was desirable and appreciated. Bath had good HOT water, strong pressure and meticulously clean with fresh smelling towels. Soap was of an inferior quality though. Bed was comfortable with simple linens/cover. Breakfast was a disappointment with barely warm frozen potatoes, cold bacon and just adequate cheese and eggs. Fruit consisted of a sliced banana and orange juice was a watery concoction, not fresh squeezed. Overall the visit was alright with the room being fine but breakfast and greeting lacking quality or enthusiasm.
