Food was pretty average for a burger joint. Ordered a cheesecake shake and it just tasted like vanilla ice cream. The things I was most impressed by was their fried pickles, and buffalo fries. That would be the only reason I come back.

I hope the people who run and operate Dairy Delight read this. I placed an order to go as a walk-in on 7/3/15. I placed an order for four sandwiches, four sides and four drinks. I waited probably close to 40min waiting for my order, people who ordered after me were getting their food before me. When I got back to work with the order, we were short and I couldn't tell what was what. Even though I ordered four different burgers, the ones I got were all the same. We called Dairy Delight and stated the order we placed was wrong and we were shorted what we ordered. We were civil however, the staff over the phone started arguing that our order was correct. This prompted me to go back. This staff recognized me yet made us wait all over again in line, about 20min. When we got to the counter the staff argued with us again. She even produced a ticket showing the initial order. She was stern that our order was correct because she took it and bagged it up herself. I finally said "how many sandwiches are on that ticket". She responded " four". I said back "we got three". Her response was to grab a random burger that was waiting for another order, put it in a bag and give it to us. All this probably did was screw up someone else's order and make them wait longer. The restaurant was busy. I understand that mistakes happen because of this. My issues was that the staff argued with us over the phone and in person when we showed. She was emphatic that she made zero mistakes when it came to our order. I waited almost 40min for my initial order and she made us wait all over again. The order we placed was almost $40 for four burgers with fries and drinks, that's a lot only to have the order screwed up, shorted and then have staff literally refute and argue with us when we say something. I will never frequent this place again.

Excellent food friendly service, takes a while to get your food but it will be freshly made so it's worth the wait.

Food is good service is bad. I have lived in Tooele my whole life and have eaten at at Dairy D too many times to count. The place has not changed much in over ten years. The consistency's are the food is always good, the servers are always grumpy, the tables are always dirty, and the wait time is long. You have to expect a long wait for your order when you come here. They have signed all over warning customers that good fresh food takes longer to make, so I do not mind that. Service is faster if you come in. Waiting in the drive though for 20-30 minutes can be very aggravating. The food is good and worth the price just do not sure expect polite quick service.

Food was delicious, service was a little slow, but not too bad. I had the blue cheese bacon burger and my mom had the fish and chips. Both were great and we would come back again.

I ordered the Old Fashioned Bacon and Cheeseburger. For under $6.00 I was not dissapointed! I had heard about this place from someone that heard from someone that grew up there and made a special trip on a saturday from Salt Lake just to try it out. Some others complaints do not make sense. This is a Mom & Pop Shop, you are not going to get fancy tables with updated decore. You are going to get whatever they had in the owners home when they opened up. I like to look for these places for the food. You want atmosphere, go somewhere else. What I was truely dissapointed in however, was that I had to pay $0.75 for a refill and $0.25 for a tablespoon more of fry sauce. Times are tight at Dairy Delight. Other than this, I think the place was just fine. I finished the burger, posted a photo on Yelp so check it out. (I hadnt eaten all day). Even if you can ound that burger, I do not suggest it. It is just too much food for one sitting.

Let me tell you, if my wife likes this place, it's good. The reviews are up and down, so I was a bit fearful about going, especially reading about the waiting time... but the wait wasn't as bad as others make it out to be. 20 minutes or less for freshly made food is not bad to me. If the wait time bothers you, call ahead and it'll be ready when you get there. The staff was nice. She's had the giant cheese burger both times we've gone there and LOVED it. She actually made two meals from one burger, it's that big!!! I tried the cheese steak, it was terrific. I also tried the patty melt, also wonderful. The "chips" fries are the best, why more places don't do these types of potatoes is beyond me. So, in conclusion, call ahead to lessen the wait time if that's an issue. Go inside, it's faster than the drive thru.

Good food, terrible customer service. If you screw up an order admit it and fix it. Don't make your customers cause a big scene.

The service is terriable. I wish there was a better word other then SLOW it took almost an hour for two combo meals and another time 45 minutes for 3 shakes. This place has good food but at what cost I'm willing to wait for good food but not this long..

The Navajo Tacos are good. The food is prepared fresh. Worth the wait.

Great big burger! You'll wait for a bit, but everything is hot and fresh.

My first time to Dairy Delight. I went there for a late lunch with some business associates. The place was pretty much empty when we walked in with 10 people. It seemed like it took an excessively long time for them to bring out the food. I had a 1/4 pound burger and fries. No complaints about either of them. The fries were hot and crisp. The burger was tasty. One person had the BIG 1/2 pound burger. Don't do it unless you have someone to help you eat it. His complaint was that the meat didn't go to the edge of the bun so you ended up with a mouthful of bread before you got to the good stuff. Another guy had a salad. He didn't say much about it, but it looked like a fairly small salad for a meal. The restrooms were clean and well maintained. The staff was pleasant. The dining are could have used a bit of attention. The tables we sat at were a bit sticky. The menu above the counter has a significant amount a variety. I think anyone could find something to eat there. Main gripes do you really have to charge me 25 cents for extra fry sauce? Why not just put it out so I can get how much I want? Add a ketchup pump. You gave me one small napkin with my order. I had to go searching for another one. Also, it is a bit old fashioned to keep the drink machine behind the counter. Is someone taking an extra nickle's worth of soda really a good exchange for extending trust and good will to your customers? Bottom line: I may go back again, but I don't think it will become a regular lunch spot when I'm in Tooele on business.

I grew up on dairy delight. I have always loved there food and service, not that keen on the decor these days, but I love everything else. They have so many options, yeh it's a little greasy, but it's a burger joint. The shakes and ice cream is always a treat, the old fashioned burger is great, I always share one with someone because it is huge.

This is a plane AWESOME local burger joint in Tooele (with more than just burgers). Their specials are real specials, not something to ditch the old food. The English Chips are a great variation to regular sides. And the Lime Ricky drinks, one of their great signatures. The place is also decorated with a video game or two, a jukebox and cards at the tables, plenty to do while your food is being carefully prepared. The milk shake selection is just incredible. Real ice cream flavor, not powdered mix. Lots of flavors and toppings to choose from. I like the peanut butter shake. Seeing as I would give Five Guys a five star rating, and I think this place is better, yelp should tack on one more star so I can properly rate it.

Eat here now! It's sooo good!!!!! First of all, many of the prices on their menu appear to be circa 1980. I mean the sandwiches, sides, ice cream, entrees. The prices are incredible for made to order food. Our fav order is the BLT on white with tater tots and fried pickles and a peanut butter shake, we share it. Everything is tasty, fresh and delicious. The service is old fashioned and courteous. If it's busy, you'll have to wait, because everything is cooked to order. This is how it should be. The peanut butter shake is the best ever, there must be a cup of peanut butter in it. Hard to resist.

Greasiest food EVER and the service/staff are rude. Don't go here!
