We had a tremendous meal today - augmented by superb hospitality! We're from the NYC area, and didn't know what to expect at a Thai restaurant in Syracuse, Utah on a Sunday - but we were very impressed - and I have sampled Thai restaurants in the NYC area, Brussels and other places - this was among the best. First, for newbies or young children, we selected the Pad Thai. That's a great first Thai dish of vermicelli in a mild sauce w/peanuts, bean sprouts, veggies and meat if desired. Our young daughter loved it. We also had Tom Kha Kai soup - coconut based broth with subtle spicing, chicken mushrooms and other vegetables - more than a meal in a bowl. And for the spice lovers - a green curry that one can add chicken or shrimp . All was preceded by a bowl of soup served w/a extra welcoming spirit from Mr. Pukata. Please trust us - go! This is a very good Thai restaurant.

This place has the best Pad Thai in the area! Everything I have tried, which is about 1/2 the menu at this point, has been nothing but delicious. The owner and chef is Thai born and knows how to cook! My favorite so far has been the Tom Kah Kai. I love, love, love the peanut sauce, I could drink the stuff like water! This is definitely the best Thai restaurant I have ever been to. This is not a "Chinese" food joint who serves Thai (which always ends up tasting like "Chinese" food). The food prepared at Thai Jasmine are authentic and delicious. I bring my picky eaters, 4 kids, here and they will eat anything that is served them. I love to start my meal with the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce and end my meal with the Sweet Rice with Mango, or ice cream, if mango isn't in season. Not only is the food excellent, made to order fresh, but the prices are extremely reasonable. I have been to 6 other "Thai" food restaurants in the Salt Lake to Ogden areas, and this one stands above the rest in flavor, authenticity and Value. They aren't very busy, but you get lots of personal attention from the family that runs the place. You might have a granddaughter pouring your water, husband telling you Vietnam stories, or how he and his wife met, etc. Ask about the photo's on the walls, they are authentic too! Awesome family, awesome life stories, awesome food. You will feel like a part of the family when you eat here.

I live close to Thai Jasmine but hadn't tried it because of some of the reviews on yelp and some feedback from friends that ate here when it first opened. Tonight we finally decided to give it a shot. The owner ( I assume it is the owner, an older Thai gentleman) was there and was very nice. Because of that I really wanted to like it but....... The Pad Thai was good. Not spectacular but I'd eat there regularly if all of the food was as good. The Papaya with sticky rice was disgusting. I've never had papaya salad that tasted like this. It wasn't that it was rotten or bad, it was that teh citrus flavor in it couldn't have been from anything other than concentrated lime juice (the type you buy in the grocery store in the little green plastic balls). There was no way that there was any natural fruit in it. Don't believe me? Head on over and order some. Every Thai restaurant is different but generally my favorite thai dish is beef salad. It was also made with that same super concentrated citrus flavoring. The Tom Ka soup was just as bad, it almost tasted like it had that same flavoring in it, though to be fair i may have been associating it with the other two dishes. Regardless, it was not good. Even the consistency was poor. Most tom ka soup is a consistent white fluid. This was like small white grains in water, similar to milk when it starts to separate. Lastly, the yellow curry was not very good. It wasn't bad like the last three dishes, it just wasn't good enough for me to go back for. interestingly, it tasted really saltly, just like other reviewers have said here on yelp. Our order was take-out and we ended throwing everything away except for the Pad Thai and yellow curry. The yellow curry will likely make it's way to the garbage in the next day or so as well. So, if you want just Pad Thai, might not be a bad place to go. As for us, we won't be back. Too bad, would have been nice to have a good thai restaurant so close.

Food was fresh and fantastic! Ordered for pickup, fast and friendly service! Defiantly will be frequenting this place Recommend: green curry, steak and peppers, and their peanut sauce is great

Food was amazing!!! We only had pad Thai for entrees but it was super delicious and with great service. This is a great family owned place.

I love this food. A little pricey, but way good. Very nice people working there. Don't miss the rice with ice cream dessert. Very different, but good.

We've heard that Thai Jasmine has Thai buffet on the first Sat. of each month so we've decided to drive almost 40 miles up north to give it a try. The service was really good, and it's fun to have a little bit Som Tum, Pad Thai, different types of curry, fried rice, spring roll...etc at once. The food was a little bit too salty for me, but it might be fine for others. We probably won't drive up again just to go there, however, we will stop by another time if we visit Antelope Island in the future.

Great food. I had the fried rice and my friends had pad woon sen. Both the dishes came out great. Service was also very good

Some of the best Thai I have eaten. Very consistent food, but sometimes a little too spicy for less tolerant palates. If you're not a spicy food junky, be sure to accentuate your desire for a mild dish. The presence of a beer menu would make it 5 for me.

Have been here a few times now. I will begin by saying that this is a newer restaurant and I think the earlier reviews may have not been as favorable due to the newness of the restaurant. My experience was that the service was great. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful. The head chef and owner is a Thai native she came out and met us as well. Both times I have been here I have really enjoyed the food. The flavors have been right on the money and the portions are good sizes, just how they should be. All the food is made to order so its not sitting around all day like so many of these other ethnic style places. As far as price goes they are not any different than any chain restaurant. One of my pet peeves with a lot of Chinese style restaurants is the amount of filler items, like onions, peppers, etc...you get with an order. My meal which was pad ped had the right ratio of protein to vegetables. I liked the sauce and found it to be perfect heat for me; I like it spicy but not overbearing. Overall they could work on the presentation as they bring out 2 plates, one with a scoop of rice, the other with the entree. My friend ordered the curry which had a nice flavor, again not too much with the curry, but enough to feel it. I enjoyed the food and will definitely go back. If you aren't familiar with Thai talk to the server she will guide you through the process as she knows her stuff. Give this place a try, you'll enjoy it a lot more than the fast food and chains that dominate this area.

Received some high recommendations from some friends so thought we would go and give TJ a try. What a treat! We had the Pad Thai and Won Ton Soup. Both were excellent. I'm no expert on Thai cuisine, but I do know good eats and this place is top notch. Fresh made food, great staff who are not afraid to get to know you. It was nice to find a gem in our backyard. Will be an easy choice to go back soon.

The atmosphere here is best described as cheap banquet hall. The service is lacking and the food is OK. The kicker is the price, way to high when you consider everything else.

My husband and I stopped there after we visit Antelope Island. We are very hungry and use yelp to find that this is the highest rating restaurant in the area. We ordered lunch special for pad tai and red curry. The food is very bad to our taste. The soup is very salty and I didn't even finish even when I'm really hungry. The Pad Tai is too wet and lack flavor except the saltiness. The Red Curry is the same way too, no flavor except saltiness. The Red Curry is also in very small quantity. We came out not very satisfied. Most of the two stars I gave to the environment. The dining area is clean and nice.

Never had good pad Thai like this. Very good waitresses were nice! Red curry was good also

Family run restaurant. Good food cooked by a Thai native. Will have to visit again to try other dishes.

I was in there earlier this week with a large group. We didn't reserve ahead of time but they graciously accommodated us. The staff was friendly, the food was good and they really went above and beyond to see that a group of moms with young kids had everything they need. We will definitely go again.

Beautiful dining area, definitely a hidden find. The menu is a bit chaotic, in a good way, The proprietors haven't read the handbook for serving uneducated white people Thai food. Their versions of basic offerings are geared to the local folk who will have trouble with ordering something other than a big mac with fry sauce. That being said, relax and let your server help you. The fresh springrolls are very good. The Tom Yung soup is excellent their variant is simply excellent, The Pad Kee Mao is very good although the noodles are excessively chopped. Considering the local competition, this is the place to go

Thai ice tea was delicious! but the food wasn't that great, the fried rice was pretty bland and the pad thai was decent. We were the only customers in the restaurant.

Awesome food and awesome owners. Great experience. And great fund in Clearfield, UT A little bit pricey but worth it. Real Thai food.

Have been a regular here since they opened and would recommend. Thai jasmine is operated by a very nice Thai family that are very accommodating to your needs. I have yet to have a bad food experience here. I usually order the pad Thai and it is always delicious and comes with enough food for two meals.

We really wanted to like this place. We just moved from West Jordan, and was looking for a great Thai place. The food here here is very mediocre and salt overpowers the flavor. The owners are very friendly and attentive to your needs, but sad to say the food is extremely salty. It started with the egg drop soup ...salty!!! We ordered spicy thai chicken wings and chuckled at them, they are a boneless piece of chicken shaped like a wing, deep fried and then squirted with a few drops of Siracha on each "wing." We both ordered the chicken red curry, wow! on the salt factor even the plain white rice couldn't tame it down. The Thai flavors are there, but getting past the saltiness was hard. Also there was an abundance of bamboo shoots and not enough chicken. Neither one of us could finish our dishes because of the salt factor.

I have been twice (once dine in and once carry out) and both times the food was delicious. I have tried the Pad Thai which was great but even better was the Green Curry with chicken...it was fantastic. Just the right level of coconut milk and spicy! The staff is always friendly and helpful. The only negative is the decor. Parts of it are okay but there were boxes of stuff being stored out in the main dining room. That was a little odd but the food is worth the lackluster interior. I'll be going back for more Green Curry soon!

Great tasting authentic Thai food! Quick service, and super nice people. The Thai fried rice looked bland when we saw it but it was yummy

Got to go with 2 for syracuse it's good Thai food. But where they lose it is service very slow service if they got some training on how to properly serve then this place would be awesome.

My husband and I have tried many different Thai restaurants all over the country. We were so pleasantly surprised to find this little gem! We had a coconut soup, curry and noodle dish that were all so delicious! My only complaint is that the curry seemed to have too many bamboo shoots but other than that it was a great experience. The owners were so friendly and provided great service. We can't wait to go back.

Stopped by on my way to antelope Island. The grill there was closed so I made a u-turn, the best U-turn I've made in awhile. The food, atmosphere, staff & of course, chef are all for real, authentic, fresh and ... excited for a family wedding coming up this weekend, right here, in the restaurant! The Pad Lad Na is to die for!

I have ate here twice, always order one of the usually Pad Thai dishes, and then experiment for the other dishes. Food is always good, but not fantastic. Service is great, and friendly. Prices are reasonable for Thai food. Soup was OK. I would try this place and would recommend it if you are in the area.

We lucked into this great restaurant because of a coupon. Great food and very tasty. Now it's a regular for us. Last night the soup of the day was pineapple soup. Wow! It was incredibly delicious.

Their Thai dishes lacked authenticity...as if they scrimped out on the important ingredients. I can tell they used, instead of fresh lime juice, the bottled kind, which ruins the dishes, especially in Tom Yum soup. There were no kaffir lime leaf and was missing missing fish sauce. Their Pad Thai was the only thing I was able to enjoy, but even that was okay.

The wife and I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately it was a total bust. We arrived on a Saturday night looking for a fun first experience but only found bland flavors, lunchroom atmosphere, and left with the disappointment of a missed opportunity for a great date night. We really wanted to support this local business but unfortunately will go elsewhere for better Thai food. Price was reasonable walking in the door but after the less than exciting flavors of food and dive-y atmosphere it did feel overpriced. The service was quick and pleasant but the food was a total disappointment.

Not to bad enjoyed my dinner one of my brother's favorite places but it is only 3 stars to me. Tables and setup feels a little underdone, the wait staff are all high school kids, but info like supporting a small family type restaurant so I am torn.

Never again! Slow service in an empty restaurant...multiple requests for water and yes..they charge for water after they bring it. Storage for tables, chairs, restaurant supplies is in the front of the dining area...feels like you're eating in a supply closet!

Some of the best thai I have had in Utah. Very authentic. If you like papaya salad (Sum Tum) you have to try it here. Nice and cold and hot and acidic and sweet. mmmmmm Tried all sorts of things on the menu with no disappointments. The place was a little smokey when I was there... but they opened a door and cranked up the fan. Every time I'm in town I will eat here.

Got the buffet. Good Pad Thai. Others in our party really enjoyed the curry. Seems authentic; the owners are Thai.

My husband and I went in and as it was our first visit, we didn't know what to expect. We weren't sure about the heat of the food, we like it as spicy as possible. The waitress was extremely helpful, and even her husband, the chef came to assist us. I didn't find anything on the menu that I thought I might like, so I told them what I wanted in my entree. They were happy to please. And my husband asked if the meal was going be "American hot" or "Thai hot" because we wanted it to be "Thai hot" the man said it would be as hot as he wanted it! When the meal came, the cook even brought a carousel of peppers and oils to heat up the dish if it wasn't spicy enough for us. We chatted with the woman a bit while we ate about different things, I think about the recent school lock-down, and how the teachers were so scared at the time. My husband can talk to anyone about anything. It was a nice lunch. We picked up a bottle of the chili pepper oil to bring home with us. Very good food and very good service! I highly recommend! A nice quiet location, we were the only patrons in the restaurant at the time, but we do eat at off hours, so that may have a lot to do with that. The restaurant serves a buffet the first Saturday of every month, all day. We missed it in June, but we hope to be there in July.

Food and service are wonderful. Atmosphere is lacking and uncomfortable. Unfortunately the high prices will keep me from returning often.
