Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

My wife and I got carry out pasta from here. It was fine, but a bit on the heavy side for my taste. The service was kind of slow, as they didn't seem to have enough people working that night. But they manger was super friendly, and gave us free dessert and 20% off without us even complaining. All said: There don't really seem to be a lot of options up here, and this place did the trick. I'd go back!

Almost $20 for overcooked spaghetti with two golf ball sized meatballs. Flavorwise, the food here is pretty good and the pizza is tasty but the crust could use work. I like that they have a daily pasta special and their arugula salad was nice. I hate to take away a star, BUT for average/good food, I think the prices are way too high. I mean, there's a reason Olive Garden offers that "endless pasta bowl": because pasta is cheap. I don't really think a plain bowl of pasta with tomato sauce should cost so very much, so I guess that's my main issue with the Wildflower now. I realize the location most likely adds to the price but if people are paying that much, I think they at least deserve perfectly cooked spaghetti and maybe three or four meatballs, no?

I'm Italian, have been living in the US for over four years and this was the worst Italian cuisine experience I ever got to bear. Instead of bread, the bruschetta was an overcooked cracker with tasteless tomatoes and too tasty balsamic vinegar which is something you don't want to put on a bruschetta. The pizza was not edible with the worst tomato sauce I ever had and low quality cheese. The Pinot noir was too sugary and the Panna Cotta tasted like Walmart yogurt. But the chef, who acknowledged she had never been to Italy, was kind enough to offer deserts and one of the cheese pizzas, therefore two stars.

*Surprisingly* great pizza, considering it's at 9,500'. The crust is thin and perfect. My only wish is that they offered more toppings (bacon, hot peppers, etc). Also, they have very cheap happy hour prices.

What's up with the music in this place? Really. Decent food. Decent atmosphere. With all the choices... the millions of spotify and pandora options... This place is playing B- Muzak from 1984. Fix it. Do it. Seriously.

The wildflower lounge a popular places to crash after a long day skiing. Locals and tourist often hang here for apre ski. Nightly pizza, chicken wing, and pasta specials. Also drink specials. Multiple flat screens to follow your favorite game. More low key than than the Tram Bar but this may be what you want after a long day on the slopes. Tim, you're jovial bartender, will set you up with a beer, wine, or cocktail. Great food and views next door in there restaurant.

THIS PLACE IS NOW ONLY A PIZZA JOINT ! Regrettably my lovely dining partner and I arrived expecting to be offered an much more seductive and sophisticated menu...like Cioppino ! Unfortunately the resort has decided to "re-brand" their restaurants so that there is less inter competition...the result...rather bland pizza and decidedly awful bruscheta. The salad was decent, but not particularly memorable. Bruscheta appeared to be assembled from pre-toasted bread...and the rest cold ingredients....the result...a warm in spots, but mostly cool/cold chewy product that was at best disappointing. Both the server, and the bartender...who became our server after the server was phased....were excellent, friendly, and a joy. The wines and cocktails were mediocre...but the company of the lovely and charming Lana was delightful !

Snowbird is a world-class place to ski but the amenities are Terrible. Restaurants are subpar and so is lodging. I was surprised that the wildflower is surprisingly ok. While I give this place 3 stars, on a relative basis I'd be hard pressed to give most other places 1 to 2 stars. It's an Italian menu. Service was friendly and our waitress did a good job of handling a large group of 16 of us. Menu is not overly inspirational but everyone seemed happy with their fare. I was psyched that they could accommodate my vegan requests. While it was dark, the view seems like it could be quite good. Decor is dated but so is the rest of snowbird. I wouldn't come here if i wasn't staying at snowbird but with so few options, it is definitely worth putting on the rotation of restaurant options. Prices are reasonable as well with most entrees around $15-18.

The pizzas are actually decent here and the wing special for apres ski is a solid deal!! We were at the resort for about 5 days and this is the only place we came back to. Other than those spare ribs at the fork lift, I'd say the food overall is best here. It's a bit of a trek from the other resort locations especially if it's windy and cold and you kinda just want to be warm (we were staying at the lodge, so just 2 buildings down). I'd say it's worth it. Just stay away from the apple cider here, it wasn't any good.

In France it's Bouillabaisse, in Scotland it's Fish Stew. At the Wildflower at Snowbird its called Cioppino. It's the only thing I've ever ordered and probably all I will ever order now that I've tried it. If I sit here and think about the broth for too long I might start drooling. The veggies were cooked with a slight crisp left to them, and the chunks of seafood were to die for. We also ordered the hummus appetizer and the tiramisu for dessert, and both were perfection. Of course, anytime you're dining someplace like Snowbird, it's hard for the food to top the scenery. I highly recommend coming here in the summertime so you can grab a table on the patio and enjoy the view. Just be aware of the wasps--I was stung during dinner. *ouch*

huge fan of this place for their apres-ski deal (40c wings!). i stayed at snowbird for a week and ended up eating dinner here twice. both times a plate of wings and some beer was all i needed. beer selection is poor, and the local brews that are available are pretty bad (spoiled by CA and OR microbreweries).

We had a downright good meal tonight at Wildflower. In fact, it was memorable and a fun night out for our family. Let's calibrate a little -- this is a resort restaurant 20 miles from the nearest town, so yes, prices are high, and service is from a guy who just got out of college and mostly wans to ski. But now that we have been at Snowbird for a few days, we know all that. So here's why Wildflower is a good bet: The food was very good and the atmosphere wasn't pretentious and actually the prices were OK. There is a good selection of interesting pizzas, some nice pastas and other stuff you would expect. Our family of four got out for $100 with 4 entrees, an appetizer, 3 glasses of wine, and a dessert. Cheap? No, but I didn't walk away feeling bilked. Compare this to the meal we had last night at The Aerie at the Cliff House. Oh yes, stemware and linnen, unctions wait staff, looking just the part of a high-end restaurant. All the food was fancy, but it was unspecial in every way. Entrees were from $20 to mid$-30s. So,compared to Wildflower, with no wine, no appetizer and no dessert and the bill was the same. The waiter forgot our bread. The atmosphere was noisy. (And for a mere $18/person the same place serves a breakfast buffet. Help me understand how four people could spend $92 on breakfast ... Buffet?) We tried the Mexican place the other night and it was a little less money and more unspecial food again at a price beyond reasonable. Yeah, so Wildflower is as good as it gets here. But it's not just that, it was quite good. We all enthusiastically recommend it!

In a ski resort that is owned by one guy, we found the food to be less than average with little to no competition. We were more than pleasantly surprised at the Wiildflower. Great pizza - thin crust, nice topping variations, and 3 pizzas will feed a party of four (they are medium sized). Very very good salads to share and out of this world pistachio gelato. Service was pretty good and our bill came to just over $120 for four people. The only thing I would say they could do better is offer bread and olive oil while you are waiting for your meal - was conspicuously absent, especially after a long ski day and being ravenous when arriving at the restaurant.

sat in the bar area since the Dining room was closed when we were there. Our waitress was probably one of the top 5 most energetic people on earth. wings were phenomenal. drinks were as expected. pizza (plain) was enjoyable. friend had the chicken sandwich and enjoyed that as well. Great spot to stop in for a bite and drink and catch the game (multiple TVs). way less expensive than the cliff lodge - and free transportation if youre staying at the Cliff or anywhere within Snowbird. dont forget to ask the driver which random midwest state he/she moved from, whose couch they currently crash on.. and then tip a few bucks to show your appreciation/jealousy.

Snowbird has been around since the 70s, and this restaurant LOOKS like it's been around since the 70s. Decor is flat, unappealing and definitely outdated, but most of the people who come to this resort don't care about anything but the mountains anyway. The food at this restaurant was surprisingly solid; it's not a very big menu but everything on it is good. We had warm La Brea Bakery bread with soft butter, delicious sweet potato soup, excellent lasagna and chicken parmesan, and great deserts. They had an ahi tuna special with an orange sauce that sounded amazing but I went for good ol' american comfort food. There's a sports bar/lounge next door with pretty good pizzas and hot wings as well.
