I've been close to behind this restaurant several times and have heard one of the owners throw multiple tantrums. Yelling the "F" word and behaving like a lunatic. My daughter heard one of the tantrums and asked what it meant when she heard, "That's just the way it is. If you don't like it, get another fu***** job!" This kind of language and childish tantrums I've heard before. I don't care how good/bad the food is, I'll never support this restaurant. This is a family community and the type of behavior from this owner can't be tolerated. Grow up, Sean. I hope you go out of business.

I am adding a review that is more recent because this place is definitely five stars now. Every time I come here I tell myself I should never eat anywhere else. Whether it is a burger or ribs or one of their special sandwiches you just cannot go wrong. Five star barbecue down in Orem has nothing on this place. The portions are huge absolutely huge unlike five star where they nickel and dime you to death.I am posting a picture of the burger I ordered and added pork. There was easily three quarters of a pound of pork not to mention the 6 ounce burger underneath. I could not finish it.it is only like a dollar or two to add pork. This is why I keep coming back.

Great BBQ, but they were out of cornbread, which really hurt. Like any good BBQ place, you are going to get a lot of food whether you like it or not, so come here hungry. I went with the 1 meat 2 sides smoked meat plate with pulled pork, cowboy beans and shoe string fries. Like any good BBQ place they have a great selection of excellent sauces to add to your meal. Picking a favorite sauce is what I imagine picking a favorite child is like. They are all really good, but of course there is one you like the best. The Carolina sauce was it for me, but I definitely tried all of them over and over. The pork was great. Super moist and delicious. The sides were both great and I enjoyed putting sauce on my cowboy beans and dipping my fries in every sauce they had. I've also had some of the burgers in past visits and found them to be pretty tasty too. Of course you're always better off going with some smoked meats at a place like this, but if you have to have a burger you won't be disappointed. I really like sauces and this place provides just what I need. You get a great deal for what you buy and will leave completely stuffed. This is easily one of the best restaurants around Saratoga Springs and I make it a point to stop by if I'm ever in the area around dinner time.

God BBQ, not great BBQ. That being said this place was very pricey and I think you could get more bang for the buck elsewhere. Also on the negative is there is no alcohol here so give up on having a beer with your rib plate.

They catered for an event i attended, and it was quite sad. The food they served us was....... less than desireable.

This is the bbq joint that gun totin', troop supportin' folks are lookin for. They're proud to support America, their troops, and big juicy portions of some of the best bbq around. They have a good selection of sauces to choose from, including their own Sean's Smokehouse sauce creations. I usually go for the tots as my side of choice and theyre always cooked and seasoned nicely. I make being able to finish one of their big juicy rack of ribs a requirement for being my friend, and this is why I don't have many friends because it's an awful lot to handle. Any place where a bunch of big military appetites frequent on a regular basis is usually a good sign to me. This is no exception.

Went back again to see if the customer service improved and I am happy to say that tonight the service was exceptional. The food came out quick and the smoked chicken and brisket was tasty and moist. Thank you for returning to what you were like when I first started going.

Highlight of the meal: Smoked Turkey Oh so tender, delicious, juicy, and went well with all of the sauces. I could have eaten it all night long. The rest of the meal: Loved the ribs, pulled pork, cornbread, and potato salad. The potato salad was full of flavor and had a nice, for lack of a better word, herbaceous quality to it. The cornbread was not too dry or moist and were on the sweet side. The ribs were glazed with a sweet sauce that I really enjoyed, and the pulled pork was just delicious with any of the sauces. The cornbread salad was better than I remembered. Hint of cheese, black beans and bacon mixed with cornbread. I'm sure there are other ingredients but it was pretty dang good. I wasn't a fan of the brisket since it was dry and not very tasty. The brisket on my last experience at Sean's was really good, so I was mildly baffled. The Cowboy beans weren't anything I'd order again. Overall, I really enjoyed the meal, and will definitely be back for more smoked turkey, and those delectable sides and sauces.

Really good BBQ. Really good portions. Surprisingly low prices. I got a BBQ sandwich combo. It was less than $9. It had such tender meat and my fave sauce was the hollerin' sauce with the Carolina tangy added in. I ended up ditching the bread, it wasn't bad, but I just decided it wasn't the proper stage for the meat, ya dig? Also, the fry portions are massive. One order could be shared with 2-3 people. I ate about half, but mostly just because they were there. If you're nearby, it's tasty, get some. Definitely good competition for the amount of fast food chains there are in Saratoga Springs. Give Sean's a try!

I've had better BBQ. Every time I have gone here the food was really greasy and I got sick off of it. The owner Sean isn't the friendliest guy around.

From out of town on business travel and decided to drive down to Cabelas. After experiencing heaven at Cabelas, did a Yelp search and decided to make the additional 20 min drive. Well, it was definitely well worth the journey and will do it gladly again.

Place really used to be good, but quality, service and value has all gone down hill fast over the last couple of years. I assume the owners are probably less involved these days? Portions get smaller and prices keep going up not a great combination!! My takeout orders are always usually missing something these days as well not sure what's going on?

Oh Sean's, how like and dislike you all at the same time. One word, staff. Either train your staff better or get more on hand. Especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Your food is good to great, your service is however stinks. It shouldn't take 25-30 minutes to get a meal for two out. It turns out the cashier, after we questioned where are food was (others - groups of 6, and 4 and 2 that had ordered behind us had already received their food) found our order ticket and ran it back. She didn't come out and apologize or give us an update, my wife instead saw her find it and run it back. After two more tables had been served and went to question her again. She gave me the lame excuse that they were busy, after I called her out on it she finally confessed to dropping the ticket. I get it, mistakes happen, but you also own up to those mistakes and make them right - even by simply coming over and explaining the situation rather than trying to hide it. Our food finally came out. Garlic Texas Toast wasn't even toasted. I was soggy garlic bread I ended up eating with a fork. It was good but not what a sandwich should be. The peach cobbler, although good, came out cold. Awesome way to end on a bad note. Oh and please either get another trash can, a bigger one or keep up on emptying the one you have. We were not the only ones to have issues that night. Two couples came in together (double date type of situation) and one couple got their food and after the other couple complained they finally brought out their food (after the other couple had already finished theirs). There was a poor guy standing waiting for his food (take out) for 25 minutes. Unacceptable. The only reason you get two stars is because your food is good - even though higher priced than it should be.

Wow! Wow!!! Insanely good ribs! I ordered the whole rack of ribs. You better be really hungry. Huge supporter of the 2nd amendment!

So bad! I ordered the two meat plate of pulled pork & beef brisket meal. It was very pricey at $18.93. When the meat came, I was grossed out. It was literally half fat! The corn bread muffins tasted like a day old, dry, box mix. I tried picking out the fat, but ended up throwing it out. Don't waste your money.

Man, I loved the ribs! And for the price, this dinner was a success. We also tried the hushpuppies and loved them. We went a second time and I had the brisket this time around and it was delicious. So juicy and tender. I recommend this restaurant. My only complaint is their hours. They close at 8 pm during the week which just seems too early. Why not stay open one more hour until 9? We went once not knowing they closed at 8 and were disappointed to find it was closed. The last time we were there, they closed at 8 but the restaurant was pretty full and at least 2 families were turned away. Just seems to make sense to stay open a little later.

The third star was only because the slow cooked meat was falling off the bone. There wasn't anything else that stood out, just the negatives. I had the half slab with two sides and toast. I got the cole slaw and hush puppies. The slaw was super soggy and kind of bland. The sogginess came from the tomatoes in the slaw...just a bad attempt at trying to be different I am guessing. The hush puppies were way over cooked. Actually burnt on several of them. To let them leave the kitchen that way was a shock. The actual BBQ sauces were nothing unique or better than store bought ones. No family recipes here. Pretty dismal food and service. Aside from the food, the bathrooms were pretty dirty and there were several flys buzzing around the eating area. Poor lack of attention to cleanliness and hygiene. I was disappointed to say the least.

Great food and atmosphere. Had the brisket and chicken. Great flavor. Had the corn bread salad and didn't finish it. It wasn't good. Prices were reasonable. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

It was pretty tasty. No doubt about it. The different sauces were great. Just a bit pricey. About $12-14 a person for a decent meal. The wait time is loooong. I waited 28 minutes for my food on a Tuesday night. Crazy. Guess you can't rush a good thing.

Wow and hmmmmm, that's all I can say for Sean's brisket and smoked turkey. Sean's meat reminds of Austin's Rudy's BBQ. They're really juicy, tender, tasty and moist. They're like melt in your mouth kind of meat (well, not really like the chocolates) but they're sure darn good meats. I don't even have to add their signature sauce. They're already perfect! My wife and I are really happy we have Sean's in our neighborhood. If you're looking for the best BBQ, come down to Sean's. You will never be disappointed.

The food is really good here and although not everything is spot on we really enjoy certain things. The brisket is really good, the fries are great, I forgot what it's called but the potato with everything on it (I mean everything- meat, cheese, sour cream, beans...) is awesome, blueberry BBQ sauce soooo good. We are not too fond of the sides. Service has always been excellent, even when they mess up they make it right.

The pulled pork we bought for a party was pretty good. Nice smokey flavor. We are some hush puppies which were a bit over cooked. The sauces were good, too. Next time I'm in Utah I'll try them again.

I love BBQ, so this being the only option close, I decided to pop in and try it out. I had the brisket and man was I disappointed. It was extremely fatty. Maybe some like that, but not me. The sauces and sides they are are tasty but I couldn't get over the low quality of meat. Price seemed on the high end for the quantity/ quality. Unfortunately, if you want BBQ, it's the only option nearby for me

Sean's is definitely an oasis in a land held hostage by strip mall food. It was A-OK. Not necessarily worth driving out of your way for, but A-OK. I ordered the brisket and turkey meal with the Cowyboy beans. The brisket was excellent but a little light on the smoke flavor and the turkey, while juicy and tasty, had no smoke flavor or color at all. Knowing they have a "rockstar" smoke oven, I was expecting a little bit more. The cowboy beans were spicy but basic. Not bad but not worth writing home about (only worth writing YELP about). The highlight of the visit was definitely the sauces on the table. A sweet, berry based sauce that paired well with the poultry and a spicy that enhanced the brisket. One opportunity was around the Iced tea. Being an iced tea fanatic I was looking forward to some fresh brewed goodness that you find in most BBQ shops. It was the fountain variety (but at least they had it.)

Wow, a lot has changed in a year. I came here a year ago with some friends, and we all loved it. I couldn't wait to come back again, but didn't find myself in Saratoga Springs for another year. This had to be the place to eat at again... Disappointed. I'd say that describes it best. The prices were higher than before, and just weren't worth the food we all ordered. We all got something that had pulled pork, and we all agreed that it was some of the grisliest pork we'd ever eaten. No less than 1/3 of my pork was fat. I ordered a sandwich, and when I opened it up to add some bbq sauce, I noticed a large chunk of fat. No biggie, but after I pulled that part out, I noticed another, and another, and another... finally I felt like half of my expensive sandwich was going to be thrown away as a heaping pile of fat. The Texas Toast they used for the bread had potential, but it wasn't just buttered and grilled, it was soaked in grease. The bread was greasy all the way through. My buddies also got beef brisquet, which they said was good. I still like their selection of bbq sauces, and their sweet potato fries were good, albeit a little over cooked. As far as the atmosphere, we loved the big screen TVs with the local U of U game on, as well as the dedication the owner gives to the military and police. What we didn't like was the lack of paper towels in the bathroom, the cleaning supplies and extra toilet paper on a shelf in the bathroom, and the overflowing garbage cans in the dining area. In a nutshell, I'd say that this place has turned into less of a destination restaurant, and more of a greasy spoon dive with premium prices. Not usually a good combination. Just an overall bad experience this last time... I'm hoping they can improve their quality and get back to where they were at a year ago.

We were in Saratoga Springs on a work trip, and reviews led us to Sean's. The girl at the till was very nice, but recommended the "special"... Big mistake! The special was a burger with a spicy dry rub on the patties. This translated to a fireball in both our guts. We also ordered fries with their spice on them, another recommendation, with the same result. Probably the worst burger experience I've ever encountered. Can't say anything about their BBQ, but if it's anything like the burgers we choked down I'd steer clear.

I've made a lot of BBQ, and like to think I know my way around a pit. These guys definitely do. Pats gets a lot of credit as being the best BBQ joint in utah, but in my opinion these guys are better. I'm a fan. This and smoking apple are the 2 best places in the state. Good portions of sides for the price, and perfectly smoked meats that are obviously handled by real pit masters. Plus they're friendly, the place is immaculate and the service is fast.

I came upon Sean's while searching for takeout BBQ in the Saratoga Springs area for a family birthday party, and it ended up being everything I was looking for! Sean (pronounced "Seen") personally called me after I left a message at the restaurant and worked with me to come up with a package that fit my needs. The result was an affordable dinner that was a big hit! We had ribs, chicken, brisket, cornbread salad, baked beans, and cole slaw, and it was all sooo good with the Black & Blue and Texas Smoke BBQ sauces. I live in Davis County, but I would definitely drive out to Sean's for another event package. My only suggestion for improvement would be to perhaps hire more staff (I ended up having to physically go to the restaurant to place my order, because the lone cashier was too swamped to pick up the phone), but other than that, my experience was excellent! THANK YOU, SEAN! :)

Hmmm, been here a few times. Food is okay. Service the last time was awful. Six pm on a Friday night and they were out of a bunch of stuff, finally found something, I thought. Only to find out after waiting 15 min for my order they were out of that too. Then couldn't get a refund for the difference between what I ended up with and what I ordered and payed for. Sent a note to the management team on the website, not even a we're sorry, nothing.... crickets chirping. They aren't worried about my experience, so I'm kinda done.

I can't figure out what the fuss is about this place. My husband and I both ordered the two meat, one side plate. I ordered pulled pork and smoked turkey and he ordered pulled pork and brisket. For starters, I found a bone in my pulled pork. If this was the only offense I would not have minded. However, half of my pulled pork was blubber, and the meat itself had no flavor whatsoever. The smoked turkey was as bland as the worst Thanksgiving turkey I've had. Nothing special here. The toast that comes with the meal was plain white bread. No butter. What's the point? My potato salad was tasteless and in desperate need of salt. The only redeeming part of my dish was the cornbread. My husband's brisket was also half blubber, although he did feel like it had more flavor than the pork. Cowboy beans were OK, but tasted canned. Overall, we will not be returning. I've had way better bbq out of a food truck and the BEST is the Smoking Apple in Lindon.

Excellent food. It is hard to dethrone Pat's BBQ in SLC but this is a close 2nd place. The brisket and pulled pork are amazingly awesome. The ribs were caked in some too sweet of sauce so wasn't a fan of those much. Great place! Fast Service.

Good food. Decent service. Fun atmosphere. Sean's brings a good food option to the area. Their meats are pretty good. I haven't eaten a large variety, however their smoked chicken is by far my favorite so far (it's pretty amazing). Everything else we ate was good and I would definitely go back and eat there again.

I don't normally take the time to write a review, but feel like this time it needs one. My husband frequently had been going to this place and usually has great reviews about it, but we went today (my first time) and the pulled pork and brisket were so bland, extremely tough, we almost couldn't eat it. Sadly won't be going back.

Sean's Smokehouse is an excellent respite from the bleak landscape that is Saratoga Springs restaurant options. High quality, low priced barbecue that tastes as authentic as . . . wherever this barbecue was supposed to mimic (Texan? I'm not sure, I'm not a barbecue expert, but I do love delicious food!). I will definitely be back!

The best BBQ place in Utah. This is my family's go-to place whenever we're in the area, and will go out of our way to stop by. The prices are pretty much standard -- not amazingly cheap, but not over-the-top expensive. My wife and I can typically share a 2-meat (brisket and pork) and 2-side plate and still be full. Love the sauces -- there are usually 3 or 4 to choose from at your table. We've also personally met Sean, as he likes to come out and greet customers quite often. Always a good sign for a restaurant, when the owner pokes his head out to visit with people and make sure everyone is enjoying themselves. Sidenote: there are two TVs, one on each side of the room. They're usually on ESPN or some other sports channel. (Just as a heads-up.)

I've eaten BBQ all over the country including the real stuff in Texas. I love great BBQ. This is hands down the worst BBQ I've ever had. Over half our plate was fat and gristle. The part that was edible was bland. The sides were bad. The sauces were even bad. Would rather eat a McRib than go here again.

What a fantastic dinner! I've never had such tender, moist, and flavorful turkey (sorry, mom). The chicken was smokey, salty, and delicious. The babyback ribs were absolute perfection. I really enjoyed their sauces, which are all house-made. The standout sauce for me was the "Black and Blue" sauce, which is made from a base of blackberries and blueberries. It was sweet and smokey, and you can definitely taste the berries. Perfect on the brisket (which by the way was tender and moist). The pulled pork was just ok for me. Good BBQ shouldn't require any sauce as the meat should speak for itself, but i found myself applying the Black and Blue sauce liberally to the pork. It was a little dry, and not too flavorful. The beans were also very good. They're not your typical mushy beans in a disgustingly thick sauce. Sean's baked beans have just the right amount of bite, and the sauce is considerably thinner that what is perhaps the norm. I really liked it. Ingredients are fresh, the beans are rich and flavored wonderfully. I liked the cornbread salad, although there were a few in our group that didn't particularly enjoy the texture. The peach cobbler was outstanding. Crunchy, buttery, and rich. The peaches freshened the dish up, and made for an outstanding finishing plate for our dinner. Last of all, it was so refreshing to see Sean "working the floor" of his restaurant, mingling with guests and making sure everything was just right. He takes great pride in his food, and he made it a point to tell us that if he can't be proud of the food, then he's not going to put it on the menu. By far my favorite BBQ place in Utah.

I got the 1/2 rack dry ribs with potato salad and baked beans. They forgot my bread. Potato salad and beans weren't bad at all. No complaints there. The ribs however, weren't all that great. The seasoning/sauce was pretty good on its own, but just the meat itself wasn't tasty. It taste like nothing but fat, and the texture was pretty nasty. My meal was $14 after tax, and I honestly wish I could get a refund. First and last time I'll be going there.

Great service, clean inviting place. Great loyalty program, just enter your number onto a screen and you're signed up. Hear that...all other places that have loyalty programs! I got stuff to go and it came out quick and the guy reviewed my order with me so I had everything-nice, but he didn't include any plastic ware, what's up with that? BBQ sauce is too sweet-a disease a lot of these places fall victim to. That said it has a nice kick to it as well-just get's tiresome pretty quickly. Cole slaw is OK, nothing special but not a lot of sugar so while it won't wow you it's satisfying. The ribs were nice. No clear smoke ring and not a great deal of smoke flavor-at least not as much as I like. But the rub was good and they didn't need the sauce-they weren't dry which is great. Left the silver skin on...yuck. They were cooked a little too long, little bit mushy but not so much that they fell off the bone-still a little pull but not as much as one might like. Good place. I'd go back. Interested to try the pork and the burgers.

Aside from offering excellent BBQ meat and sides of all kinds, Seans makes fantastic burgers. I'll go as far as saying they're the best burgers I've had (and I've had loads). All their patties ate made by hand, but only after you order. The 10 or 15 minutes is well worth it. The huge patty is shaped a bit like a flying saucer...nice and thick and juicy. Served on an excellent and large potato bun. Toppings you'd expect are available, including a large slice of high quality cheese (if desired). Seasoned stake fries and a fountain drink round things out. I ordered a side of beans, but could not finish then. The burger meal is ample. If you're in the mood for strong flavors, I suggest the blue cheese bacon burger. Eating these burgers is a pleasure I will be repeating.

I cannot say enough good things about Sean's. In the last year or so I have never had a bad experience here. The pork is always perfectly tender and moist. I always choose to get it on a sandwich with Texas toast which is always seasoned and toasted to perfection! Their shoestring fries are buttery melt in you mouth good seasoned just right. Perfect when dipped in their house made BBQ sauces. They have 2 options the Black and Blue which has blackberries and blueberries in it and their Tennessee Hollorin' sauce (which is my all time favorite BBQ sauce). They also have sweet potato fries that are definitely worth trying as well. If you are looking to get super full they have what they call a Nader's Tater. A baked potato topped with pulled pork, beans, sour cream, cheese, and bacon. So delicious and filling!! If you are looking to cater an event they do an amazing job. They offer lots of different options depending on the amount of people you are feeding.

If you're looking for good BBQ this is the place. Easily some of the best BBQ I've had anywhere. It's all slow cooked and tastes like it. Get the two meat plate and it's enough to share. My favorite is the brisket, closely followed by the pulled pork. Fried okra on the side is amazing. It's crispy on the outside and cooked, but not squishy, inside. I like the cowboy beans better than the regular baked beans, but I like baked beans spicy, not sweet. Great atmosphere and great food.

I love Sean's. They have a great menu selection, the prices are reasonable (considering how outrageous some BBQ place prices are around here) and their food is just super good. I ordered the turkey plate with cornbread salad and it was wonderful. It came out super fast, so if you don't have a ton of time for lunch, this is your place. My only complaint would be they had a limited selection of BBQ sauces. One was super sweet, and the other would be considered too spicy for some. I really enjoyed their non-sweet BBQ sauce, but someone with a more sensitive palate may not. The ambiance was very neat. For some reason the have a wall of people with their thumbs down...not sure what that meant, but it was certainly different. Just try here - keep local business in business! It's important...

If you like barbecued meats, you are doing yourself a disservice if you haven't been to Sean's Smokehouse. Everything is slow roasted and extremely flavorful. Most people will mentally compare this place with Dickey's Barbecue Pit; in most ways Sean's is better (such as the pulled pork... or the turkey... or their incredible black and blue BBQ sauce). Nevertheless, in a few ways Dickey's edges ahead (such as their chopped beef brisket). Sean's remains one of the best BBQ joints in Utah county and certainly ranks ahead of Dickey's overall. This place is way too good to remain a secret! Make the short trip to Saratoga Springs--you'll be glad you did.

The first time we visited, we were blown away by how tender and juicy the smoked turkey was. We liked the selection of sides and thought that, overall, this place had it figured out. Each visit since then has been less and less impressive. The meat got dry and tough and the cuts got fattier. The corn bread is always stale, and the service has gotten sloppier. Tonight, I gave up on my meal. I couldn't stomach the fatty pieces of brisket. We really wanted to love this place, but I don't think we'll be back again. I even feel bad for leaving this review but I'm really just disappointed.

We got there at 6pm and the place was pretty busy. By the time we left it was nearly full. Sean said it was the slowest night in a month, so I guess word of mouth is good for this place. I'll start with my Faves: 1- Cornbread salad! What? Yah, you heard me, cornbread salad. Unique, delectable, satisfying and original. Try it. 2- Pasta salad. Giant shells with... stuff... mixed in. I'm not sure what it was made of, but Yay! I'm a fan! 3- Ribs. Baby back ribs. That's the only kind they serve at Sean's and they are dynamite-tastic! It was difficult to pick them up, because they kept falling apart. And the sauce was wonderful; sweet, but not too sweet. 4- Turkey: wow! I'm NOT a big fan of turkey in general, but this stuff was moist... I mean wet... without any sauce. Amazingly good. It didn't need any sauce (I used some anyway). 5- Beans: 5 or 6 different kinds of beans in a sweet, thin, sauce with bacon and (roasted?) red peppers. Again, these were unique. Not what I would have expected from a BBQ place. Not the EXACT SAME THING i've ever been served at every BBQ place I've ever visited ever in the world. The sweet factor may be bit high for some people, but for me they were grrreat! And I'm not a huge sweet-fan either. Whoever said they had tomatoes in them?? WRONG. Just wrong. Maybe he mistook the red peppers for diced tomatoes. 6- Coleslaw: Again, slaw is not generally one of my faves, but this was among the best I've had anywhere, but maybe a touch too much mayo for me. 7- Salad: I didn't eat it (my daughter did when I dropped it off to her at home) and I don't remember the name of it. It was spinach leaves with berries, candied walnuts, sunflower seeds and homemade poppy seed dressing. She RAVED about it and demanded directions to the place. 8- Peach cobbler: Warm, crunchy, topped with fresh whipped cream, delicious. My wife liked it so much she said she would drive all the way there (45 minutes) just for dessert. Impressive. 9- Service: Sean is a hands-on owner. Other reviews have said "overbearing," but I disagree. I guess it's whatever your personal comfort level is and how much human-interaction you enjoy from your server/restaurateur. For me, it was just the right amount. Sean greeted every guest and then thanked them and said good-bye as they left. He also stopped at every single table to make sure everything was not just okay, but better than okay. I think the service was fantastic! And he obviously cares deeply about his food and his patrons. I also tried the brisket, smoked chicken and pulled pork. All were very good. On par with the best places in Utah for sure. But the ribs and turkey were the stars of the show for me. Now for my not-so-faves 1- Potato salad: It was passable, but very bland. Potatoes and mayo and not much else that was noticeable. Sean told us that he "caved" into the pressure to change to a more "traditional" salad, but I wish I could have tried the first one he rolled out a month ago, which was more of a German potato salad. Everything here is made from scratch. No microwave in the building. Nothing comes from a can (except the peaches since they work better with the cobler). The meats are slow cooked or smoked for 10+ hours, which explains why they may run out of some things later in the evening/night. In order to get the 5th star from me, Sean's would have to do two things. Serve me an ice cold beer in a frosty mug (no alcohol here) and put his SPICY sauce into the regular rotation. He let us try it/use it, but it's only 95% ready for mass consumption. Hopefully the remaining 5% will be done soon because it was the bee's knees! Sorry for the LENGTH of this review, but Sean forced us to sample nearly everything and I wanted to give my impressions of each item. Thanks for bearing with me.

Pork was very mushy like it had been pre chewed. Brisket was greasey, 39 years I've never had greasey brisket before, and it tasted bland. Potato salad was gaggingly gross. Pasta salad had no flavor and a badly congealed texture. Peach cobbler tasted boxed and the topping mixed in with the sugar gel of the peaches to make an un cooked dough pudding that was quite nasty. Texas toast and the mustard sauce were good. Mix the halla and texas sauces for a decent bbq sauce. Servers were very nice and genuinely concerned about my experience but they couldn't fix the hot mess kitchen.

After a invigorating morning of killing pheasants at the local pheasant club, what more could you want than some smoked meats. Brisket and pulled pork with their special blueberry bbq sauce is win win in my book. Going back on Friday to kill some more birds and eat some more bbq. That's my story..

Just a really good BBQ place! I've been twice and left fully satisfied each time.

Best BBQ in Utah hands down. Brisket is my Favorite. The Turkey is always moist and super delicious. My mouth started watering while I am writing this. My big complaint is they are not open on Sunday (that is normal for Utah though). They have some amazing sauces, Fried okra, Cobbler etc... JUST GO.

if you like BBQ, this place is awesome. It's the best BBQ I've had in Utah, probably the best since I lived in Texas. I ordered the brisket, pulled pork and cornbread salad. No one else around here that I've tried has such good brisket. It was very flavorful, and not dry at all. It was awesome, and I wished I had just gotten that instead of splitting the plate with the pulled pork. The pulled pork was very good, but I'm a brisket guy when it comes to BBQ. I got the pulled pork this time because I wanted to try a couple of items to get an idea of how good this place really is. Though, to me, the brisket is the key factor to the quality of a BBQ place. The cornbread salad is SO good. You just gotta try it. I'd highly recommend this restaurant, it's worth the short drive to Saratoga Springs - It's NOT that bad, this isn't Eagle Mountain. Take Redwood Road from Bluffdale/Bangerter Highway and it's a very easy drive and worth it. Enjoy!

I just got back from a 5 day trip to Austin, TX this morning and didn't have anything as good as Sean's. Not sure how you do it but thank you.

Phenomenal. That is the word that keeps coming into mind when I think of this place. I never would have known about this place. We rarely go into Utah County even though we live right on the county border. However, a friend of mine came through town to visit me on his way across the country on his bicycle. As he was crossing Lehi, a motorcyclist pulled up next to him curious about my friend's bicycle set up which was carrying way more than one needs for an afternoon (or two or three) jaunt around the city. Upon hearing that he had riden all the way from San Francisco, through Texas and was passing through on his way to Alaska before heading out to the New York then Florida (no one apparently has taught my friend about the quickest route being a straight line) all so that he could have the delight of riding back to San Francisco, the motorcyclist, introduced himself as Sean and told my friend that he owned a restaurant close by and that he would love to buy him dinner that night. So I get the text asking if I wanted bbq. I said, "Of course I do." Now my husband and I have been looking for a good bbq joint for a while. There has been passable, but nothing great. This place is so far beyond great. Fantastic. Phenomenal. My husband and I both ordered the beef brisket and peach cobbler. The brisket was perfect. Juicy, flavorful, tender... perfect. The bbq sauces were awesome. The Black and Blue (made in-house with real smashed blackberries and blueberries) was just the right combo of sweet, tangy and a tiny splash of heat. The other (can't remember the name) was great for those who like their sauce to bite back. A lot of spicier sauces are all about the heat, but this sauce had a fantastic flavor full of peppery deliciousness paired with just the perfect amount of heat. YUM! My friend was lavished on like a king. Sean came out with a ridiculous salad full of so many wonderful things there's no way I'll remember them all. Fall apart, tender mound of bbq chicken on a bed of spinach, blackberries, blueberries, sunflower seeds... Gourmet salad to the max. Definitely enough to satisfy the appetite of someone who had just bicycled over 100 miles in the last day. However he was them presented with a pulled pork sandwich, beef brisket sandwich and a side of award winning beans. He was then told to wave when ready for his peach cobbler. We all had to try the beans. Again. Fantastic. Prefect combo of sweet and savory. Delish. After a minute if watching our friend in amazement as he meticulously munched through his food stopping once in a while only to praise it's deliciousness, we moved on to our peach cobblers... I was in heaven. I love cobbler. This was... what is it that my husband likes to say, "Like angels kissing my tongue." Yes. Even though I was so full I had to use my esophagus as a holding place, I had to finish that cobbler. We then turned our attention to our friend, who I think may have had tears in his eyes as he ate his way though his cobbler. I'm still not sure if it was from his stomach over extending or over the wonderfulness of the cobbler. My husband and I congratulated our friend on a miraculous eating feat, and he said that the pain was worth it. He couldn't stop if he wanted to. It was too delicious. Everything made here is fresh and from scratch (even the furniture, as Sean says). Well worth the trip to Saratoga Springs. Our friend was saddened that he was not in town long enough to go back (Closed on Sundays... sniff) and he is already trying to figure out a reason to pass back through town so that he can enjoy another ridiculously delicious meal at Sean's... and possibly win that Ghost Chili Wing Challenge while he's at it. My husband and I will be back this weekend.

Friendly staff and great food. If you enjoy barbeque then this is a great place to try. Also if you like spicy food they have a ghost chili wing challenge you can partake in, which a buddy of mine did and completed. Not without feeling immense pain and unfortunate outcomes later in the day. It's a level of spice that is probably seriously detrimental to your health, but if you're one of those spice daredevils it's worth a try. I dipped one of my wings in a bit of the sauce and my mouth was burning for a long while. And I think I had a pretty high tolerance for spicy foods. Anyway, the food is real good and it's worth a try if you're in the area.

I will start of by saying I'm not usually a fan of barbecue. I mean it is good sometimes, but most restaurants with barbecue I will pass up. My husband on the other had LOVES barbecue. So I have to venture into these joints once in awhile. Sean has converted me. At least to his place. This guy rocks. This is I think the best restaurant BBQ I have had, no question about it. The sauces are amazing the food is all amazing. The peach cobbler was great! So much so I asked for 2nds. My only criticism is that there needs to be more decorations on the wall, the place looked a bit bare. I can image this place being like a homey place. Seriously any person that likes food should come here. On an end note I have heard some people complain that it is too expensive. That is a load of crap. The prices are fine and seriously this food is worth paying for. Also I love the philosophy of service here, for instance they don't except tips. You can ask Sean about it, he will tell you. I love it, everything about it.

Easily some of the best, if not the best, BBQ I've had at a restaurant! Sean serves up some amazing meats, delicious sides, and heavenly dessert! Everything was so good, I don't even know where to begin, so I guess I'll just walk you through my meal. Sean hooked us up with one giant sampler platter, so to speak. Our first plate came loaded with pork, chicken, turkey, & ribs. The pork was tasty, especially when paired with the Black & Blue sauce (made from berries!). The turkey was oh-so-moist. The chicken, bursting with flavor. And the ribs, oh the ribs! The glaze was perfect, the meat cooked to perfection! I could eat those every day! As if all this wasn't enough, we were greeted with 3 sides: a pasta salad (amazing!), baked beans (some of the best I've had), and cornbread salad (not my favorite, but still pretty good). Next came the brisket. This was easily the BEST brisket I've had. Super tender, very moist, and excellent flavor! To top it all off, one of the most delicious peach cobblers you'll ever taste. Seriously, I could eat this stuff 3x/day, 7 days/week! It's that good. What's great about Sean's (besides all the AMAZING food, of course) is their passion. We were informed that everything is made fresh, canned food is not allowed (with the exception of peaches as working with fresh peaches did not yield the results Sean wanted), and each and every dish is served up with a heaping side of good ol' TLC. Sean has won numerous awards for his BBQ, and when (not if) you go here, you'll know why! Seriously, I want to go back. Now! (A huge thanks to Sean for hosting a wild crowd of Yelpers - it was awesome and I, for one, am extremely thankful for all your hospitality! I will be back again soon!)

I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich with a side of beans, my wife had the same sandwich but had the Cornbread Salad. All of it was spectacular. The beans were the best I have had and the cornbread salad was unique and VERY good. In terms of price and service, my wife and I spent $10 each, that included soft drinks. The service was incredible. Sean, the owner, was talking with patrons as well as serving them. He was really helpful and friendly. The food got to us really fast, almost before we got our drinks filled. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was that Sean's does not have quite the selection that I would like. If possible I would love to see plain cornbread and maybe hush puppies as sides. All in all, I love the place, I will definitely go back!

YUM! That's my first thought. If you love comfort food, Sean's Smokehouse BBQ is the place for you! The meats (yes all of them, as I got to sample each one) are tender, tasty and full of flavor. My favorite is the turkey, deeeeelicious! My second favorite is the fall off the bone ribs, wow. I didn't love the cornbread salad, it's a texture thing for me, the pasta salad was a much better fit for me. The peach cobbler, THE BEST! I managed to fit it in to my very full tummy, one taste and that thing was not going to waste! :) The atmosphere is clean, simple yet very inviting, not to mention how friendly Sean (the owner) and his staff are. I've been there twice and both times I watched Sean go from table to table checking on the guests, very nice touch - he really cares about your experience. A must try in my book!!!!!

I discovered SSBG a few weeks ago and was first struck by the flags hanging from the rafters. It is good to see someone supporting the country and the values we stand for. So far I have had the turkey, brisket, pork, and ribs. The turkey is the best turkey i have ever had anywhere. I know for Thanksgiving when I will be chewing on an old rubbery piece of bird i will be sad because I know what it can taste like. I am also a big fan of their blueberry pomegranate salad dressing. You could pour that stuff on an old $1 bill and it would taste good. Sean is preparing some more "spicy" dishes, which seem kind of hard to get in Utah. I will be excited to give them a shot. Love what they are doing here and want to support them.

We ordered everything on the menu... Almost nothing disappointed. Awesome BBQ with tons of side dishes. All the dishes seemed like they were made with care and on purpose. For Lehi, this place is a blessing...

Surprisingly good! Just passing through Saratoga Springs when my wife and I ran into this place. I had the biscuit and pulled pork, both were excellent, my wife had turkey and really enjoyed it. The young blond girl at the register isn't the most motivated to keep the dining room clean, that is probably the only part that suffers. Will probably go back of I'm in the area again.

Tried it on Friday night, bread was great, pork was tender and delicious, a little dry but the black and blue sauce was perfect for it. Definately going back again to try the rest of the menu.

Sean's little restaurant was fantastic. The pulled pork is definitely where it's at and blows away anything locally. I've also tried the salads and have had the blue bacon burger as well. Could be one of the best combo's ever. The beans are unique and have a flavor unlike any other. You can make Sean's a quick casual weeknight visit or a weekend date night. Sean is a stand-up guy who cares about quality and a good dining experience. He wants everyone who visits to have a great time. I'll be back again ...

I've been coming here since they opened. Tonight was a disaster. Turkey dried out, 1/2 the amount they normally give. Like 2 pieces of turkey. Total rip off. Staff taking order was confused, seriously confused. I'm so mad. We got this to go & the whole thing sucked.

This is LEGIT BBQ. Both the brisket and pulled pork were AMAZING! I love all of the different sauces (yes I tried them all). The pricing is good, and the atmosphere is fun. I rarely go out for BBQ because we smoke our own meat, and most of the BBQ restaurants are a disappointment. I was very pleasantly surprised when one day i was in a hurry and hadn't had lunch, stopped in for a quick sandwich to go. The pulled pork was so tender and juicy. The barbeque sauce was insanely delicious. We decided to go back another day and try the brisket. After all, brisket is the hardest meat to perfect in BBQ. We were not disappointed. We got the brisket and pulled pork plate, with slaw and potato salad. The brisket was perfectly done, as was the pulled pork. They were both moist, tender, and filled with smokey deliciousness. The vinaigrette slaw was a perfect addition to the sweet BBQ sauce. There are so many other items we have not yet tried, looking forward to trying them all. I have traveled a lot, and eaten at many of the top chef restaurants, in NY, and L.A, Las Vegas, etc. This is hands down the best BBQ I have had. In the land of chain restaurants and crappy fast food, it's so refreshing to find a real legitimate BBQ so close to home!!

Love this place. Oddly i don't eat here often BECAUSE it's close to home. Saratoga Springs has so few decent restaurants we are almost always east of the lake before we remember Sean's. The smoke is righteous and their unique sauces are excellent. Usually unique is not synonymous with great but here they've really outdone themselves. The sauce for the ribs is particularly killer. Sides are great, my favorite is the cornbread salad SO GOOD! prices are appropriate, you will not regret a trip to Sean's. For the purposes of comparison, I am a regular at Pat's and Sugarhouse and I give Sean's the edge, Pat's may have the (slight) edge on Q alone, but their annoying and indifferent servers and uncomfortable seating make Sean's the winner by a nose.

Sean's Smokehouse is the best BBQ in Utah valley. Their pulled pork sandwich makes your mouth water, and its perfect pair, the homemade black and blue sauce. The B&B is good on all of their delicious meats and even their fries!! The prices or their plates is practical and is a good place to go to dinner! My absolute favorite thing is their Heath Bar Cookies. They are doughy in the middle and crispy on the outside. Sean's BBQ has cooking, smoking, and even baking down to a science.

Real good. Had brisket and smoked turkey sammich. Brisket very tasty.. great smoke ring and flavor. A bit salty IMO but still Deelish. Sammich was great.. order it on garlic Texas toast. Beans... meh... good and sweet but runny and full of sweet peppers. Will be back. One of the better BBQ joints I've been to. Thanks Sean

BEST RIBS EVER! Been to Sean's several times now. Everything is fantastic. My wife's favorite is the turkey...so moist. I love the brisket and pulled pork, but tried the ribs a few trips ago and fell in love. Meat falls right off the bone=perfection. Spicy BBQ sauce is a nice touch. The sides are all great...give a few a try. Cornbread salad is great, but I also opt for the cowboy beans (spicy pork & beans). Oh, and get a takeout box so you can save room for the peach cobbler. We catered a dinner from Sean's and I had at least 10 people tell me it is the best cobbler they have ever tasted. I don't even like peach cobbler and I eat it! Grab your friend or spouse, go in, get the Feast for 2-3, add ribs and peach cobbler. It will set you back about $30 for a full dinner, with drinks, and you'll have lunch for tomorrow leftover. Enjoy!

Best BBQ in utah. Prices are good. Food is real and filling. Love the seasoning on the crispy fries. Pulled pork sandwich is awesome

We've eaten here on several occasions. When the food is good, it's really good, but when its bad... you get the picture. Probably two times in three the meat is fresh, hot and well prepared. The sauces are inventive, and the sides are probably some of the best in Utah when you are considering a BBQ join. The problem is sometimes the meat is dry and cold, obviously not as fresh as it was other times. If I could guarantee the good meats, this would be top of my list for BBQ in Utah.

Best BBQ in Utah county without question. Never tried a dessert but you don't go to a place like this for dessert anyway.

Good Stuff. I love the ribs. they are meaty and tender, the cornbread salad was at first not what I expected but really good.

Wanted to try a new place and gave this place a try. The meat was good. I wasn't a huge fan of the coleslaw, but my bf liked it. The sauces were great! The peach cobbler was the best part of the place. The owner is really concerned about your experience - although, I did find it a bit over bearing when I'm trying you place. I'm sure I'll go back for a quick dinner.

My first visit here was disappointing, to say the least. First, I called in our order and the employee gave me my total. I asked, "Do I need to pay now, or when I pick up my order?" She just said, "Yes." I repeated myself, and again she just said, "Yes". Strange... Service was quick and friendly when I picked up our to go order. I thought the prices seemed fair. Our order consisted of: the teriyaki burger, Carolina pulled pork sandwich (includes coleslaw on top of the pork), side of coleslaw, and a side of cornbread. The portions were large. The hamburger patty on the teriyaki burger had a strange, almost "gamey" taste that was overpowering. I come from a hunting family and am used to eating game such as elk, deer, bear, etc. The weird gamey flavor of the dry patty and the soggy, stale bun made it absolutely inedible. Not even the surprisingly bland teriyaki/pineapple combo could mask it. The meat on the Carolina pulled pork sandwich was spot-on. It was thick and incredibly juicy. Unfortunately, another soggy, stale bun and questionable coleslaw cancelled out the quality of the meat. I'm usually a big coleslaw fan. This was awful. It was beige in color, and tasted the way beige probably would taste...bland. Flavorless. Soggy. And tomatoes mixed in. Why?! I'm not sure if the "Bbq sauce" was some ill-fated attempt at being different and unique, but when I opened the to go cup, it looked like a salad dressing...clear and watery like vinaigrette with a tint of red. I was confused but tried it anyway...the flavor wasn't too bad, definitely not good...when you think you're ordering bbq sauce you want bbq sauce. This watery sauce just added to the sogginess of the stale buns. Last, and probably least, were the dry, crumbly, hard, flavorless cornbread muffins. I've had dry cornbread, but this was bad. There is no way these were made that day. They tasted stale and old. I thought the honey butter could save them, but even the packet of honey butter was disappointing...completely flavorless. Sadly and wastefully, the entire order went into the trash, uneaten. If enough time passes that I forget this experience, I may return for just the pulled pork. I'll take it home and slap it on a fresh bun myself, with real bbq sauce, and homemade coleslaw full of color & flavor.

I used to love this place. It has fallen from grace. They always run out of meat. Even early in the evening. No brisket. No chicken. This last visit, they gave us the wrong food. We had to come back up and wait to get it fixed, and the girl working said she couldn't give us anything to make up for it, that "they can never give out meat without paying for it." Uh, gee, thanks, it's not like you haven't mangled the order. Sean... What happened? Oh yeah, they now charge a "Brisket Premium." No one else does that.

(5)Curtis C.
(4)Todd H.
God BBQ, not great BBQ. That being said this place was very pricey and I think you could get more bang for the buck elsewhere. Also on the negative is there is no alcohol here so give up on having a beer with your rib plate.
(2)Jacom F.
They catered for an event i attended, and it was quite sad. The food they served us was....... less than desireable.
(2)Mike N.

(4)Dana C.
(4)Allie J.
I've had better BBQ. Every time I have gone here the food was really greasy and I got sick off of it. The owner Sean isn't the friendliest guy around.

Food is good. Last three times I placed a pick up order , they got it wrong. Sometimes they don't have corn. A little pricey.

(2)Brad S.

(5)Melinda C.

(4)Jeremy D.

(5)Dustin M.
(4)Erick H.
The pulled pork we bought for a party was pretty good. Nice smokey flavor. We are some hush puppies which were a bit over cooked. The sauces were good, too. Next time I'm in Utah I'll try them again.
(4)Chris P.
Unfortunately, if you want BBQ, it's the only option nearby for me
(2)Travis B.

(1)Alan D.

(1)John C.
Excellent food. It is hard to dethrone Pat's BBQ in SLC but this is a close 2nd place. The brisket and pulled pork are amazingly awesome. The ribs were caked in some too sweet of sauce so wasn't a fan of those much. Great place! Fast Service.
(4)Brandon P.
Best BBQ in the valley I like it more than 5star and especially bambams. Go to Sean's. Excellent everything.
(5)BeckyLynn W.
Seriously the best ribs around! The signature sauce called Black & Blue is incredible! Worth the drive to Saratoga Springs...we will be back for more!
(5)Geoff R.
Had a great lunch there on Tuesday, with sweet potato fries. The four different sauces make a great tour of the USA. Quill have to go back and try their salads
(4)Kevin W.
(3)Ashley D.
Food was amazing! Husband had a big burger. I had pulled pork plate. Was perfectly cooked and loved the sweet corn. We will definitely be going back very soon!
(5)Stephanie C.
I don't normally take the time to write a review, but feel like this time it needs one. My husband frequently had been going to this place and usually has great reviews about it, but we went today (my first time) and the pulled pork and brisket were so bland, extremely tough, we almost couldn't eat it. Sadly won't be going back.
(2)Laurie B.
(4)Brad M.
(5)Jake G.
I love Seans, never gets old
(5)Jake T.
(1)Ryan K.
(5)Dom H.
(1)Michael T G.
Had the Carolina pulled pork sandwich, it was really good when I wasn't swatting flies from the table and around the plate
(2)Chad J.
Best BBQ in Utah. Great meat. Great sauces. Great people. My wife and I love this place. It is good food, and they have fair prices and great portion sizes. I would recommend the brisket! It is amazing!
(5)Iain M.
(4)Matt G.
(5)Amanda C.
(5)Colleen M.
(5)Kathy B.
(5)Dempsey B.
(5)Craig J.
Great BBQ. The chicken was the best part, but it was all good.
(5)Adam A.
I absolutely love this place! Everything about it is fantastic. I drive right past Dickey's every time I go to Sean's.
(5)Alisha W.
Delish BBQ, way better than the chain food alternatives around, and well priced to boot.
(5)Theresa O.
The brisket was good. The bleu cheese burger was delicious.
(4)Lindsey G.
(1)Charles S.
(4)Russell G.
(1)Steve S.
After a invigorating morning of killing pheasants at the local pheasant club, what more could you want than some smoked meats. Brisket and pulled pork with their special blueberry bbq sauce is win win in my book. Going back on Friday to kill some more birds and eat some more bbq. That's my story..
(4)David M.
Just a really good BBQ place! I've been twice and left fully satisfied each time.
(4)Eric M.
JUST GO.
(5)Ryan H.
if you like BBQ, this place is awesome. Enjoy!
(5)Richard S.
I just got back from a 5 day trip to Austin, TX this morning and didn't have anything as good as Sean's. Not sure how you do it but thank you.
(5)Jacqueline M.
(5)Tuan N.

Awesome food, people and prices.

(4)Nathan S.

Not open on sundays! Website says open everyday! What gives! We looked forward to going there after a nice long motorcycle ride and it ended up being closed.

Great food and reasonable prices. We had pulled pork and brisket. Both were moist, great texture and superb flavor. Service was great and the sides were very well prepared.
