We are here for brunch on Father's Day. The wait was about 20-26 minutes which was strange considering half of the restaurant was empty and there were available tables. When we did get seating the waitress was on it! She was super nice, had great suggestions, and did an awesome job keeping our drinks full. I had the crepes which I couldn't finish. They were too cheesy and greasy. Borderline gross. My wife had the eggs Benedict and said they were pretty good. Overall I don't think I'll come back. There didn't seem to be anything special or something that I would crave or "Have to Have".

Mac and cheese and the mushroom burger were amazing! We did enjoy the devil eggs for an appetizer. We had great service and the whole staff was warm and friendly.
Love this place so much. Great atmosphere, good food, wonderful service! I think I'm becoming a regular here.

I'd never heard of Mimi's before mostly because they don't have one near where I live. I very rarely venture outside Salt Lake City unless I'm leaving the county on a road trip of some kind but my father invited me out to dinner and said my grandmother really liked the place so I thought I'd give it a try. The service was sub-par at best. The hostess was quite obviously annoyed that our party wasn't all arriving at the same time. Our waiter took our orders and then would disappear for several minutes at a time. If the place were busy, I would understand that he has other tables to attend to, but that wasn't the case this time. The food was good, not great. The one thing that redeems this place is that the amount of food they give you is well worth the price they charge. For $10, I got a grilled chicken caesar salad the size of my head and one of the largest blueberry muffins I've ever had. If you're hurting for money but you're not really wanting fast food, this place is a great option.

Mimi's is in the category of "used to be a lot better." The portion sizes (like the pot roast I got a couple weeks ago and used to get somewhat frequently) are smaller than they used to be, the service is pretty good but not outstanding, the food is pretty good but used to really stand out. Their chocolate chip pecan pie from years ago was amazing - I wish they'd bring that back. They even had live music some weeknights. In general, the restaurant seems to be fizzling out and in need of a refresher.

As a soon to be transplant to the area (I am here house hunting because of a company relocation), I was surprised to see that Mimi's is still around. All of the locations from back home have closed, as the food seemed to be in a downward spiral of sorts. Being a newbie and seeing a restaurant I at least recognized, I decided to stop in and give it a whirl for lunch. The menu is a tad different than I remember, but I went with a club sandwich and mushroom bisque as my side. The Club was good, but not outstanding. However the soup of the day was fantastic, so much so that I almost wanted to stop in again the following day to try out another iteration. Our server was a very courteous and attentive and the floor manager also stopped by to check in on us during our visit as well, so great marks here for staff. I will stop in again eventually and see if I can't sample some other entrees that I like better.

I've been hitting up this location for about 5 years, in that time, I've watched the service and food quality diminish each and every visit. Although I could be wrong, from what I've seen and experienced, it's due to the GM of the location, who we call Gus (not his name, but he looks like Gus from Breaking Bad). If you pay attention, you'll be sure to catch him scorning at the wait staff and even telling customers off. If you're lucky, he may sit down with you at your table and try to explain to you the many vegetarian options available; such as the turkey and eggwhite omelette, seriously, he did this to our group one visit.. Aside from the dwindling standards, the muffins and breads are always delicious and a sure win, the carrot raisin being far better than one could imagine!

I've eaten at different Mimi's restaurants 3 times in my life. And every time it's a horribly mediocre experience. I feel that they are desperately trying to not be Applebee's or Chili's, but everything that they serve just goes to show that they are exactly like Applebee's and Chili's. It's very chain-restauranty, which means it's a little cold and any emotions associated with it are derivative. The food is just OK, it's not great, it's not gross. It just sort of is. I came here because I had to meet with a client and they chose the location. I don't know, if you like Friday's, then you'll like Mimi's, and Olive Garden for that matter. Yes, comparison is the killer of joy, but comparison also helps you know what to expect. So there you go, if you still choose to go, at least you know what you're getting yourself into.

I really love this place - but only when sitting in the front area by the windows! (The back is dark & not nearly as nice). I've been here probably a dozen times, and every time the people are polite & helpful. Great food, great portion sizes, I've really loved everything I've ordered. A great go-to restaurant for me!

The hostess, Sam I think, was a little on the rude side but the servers were very friendly. Angel on the bar is the best thing to ever happen to mimis cafe. The fries are sooo GOOD!

Extremely hot. Ac must be broken. They said it has been broken for several days. Don't know why they would still seat us in the hot section - very noisy today - noticed that waitresses and other help were yelling back and forth to each other.

This was my first experience eating at this restaurant and unfortunately I believe it will be my last. I had a chicken cordon bleu sandwich which, overall, left much to be desired. The overall bland flavors were only enhanced by the surprisingly small amount of chicken on the sandwich. The absence of chicken was so noticable that I had to pull the sandwich apart to rearrange the small pieces so that I would get at least a tiny bit of meat in each bite. Nothing was incredibly offensive about the meal entirely, but it definitely didn't instill an urgency to return any time soon.

Love love love the French onion soup. But not enjoying the fact that the managers are having a very uncomfortable employee conversation right next to my table. Or the fact the table across from me has been dirty the white time I've been here.

I still love Mimi's since a child and wanted to go back for some lunch. The inside decor is just like it was way back when (the red painted walls, black booths, outdoor seating that's actually indoor and the bathrooms have the old school gold sinks still!). This brings back memories... Food I would say is pretty good/decent although not at the top echelon of high quality food. It's probably tasty but with lots of salt, sauce, butter and whatever they put in it. I will still be going back but probably aim for breakfast since it's my fav meal of the day!

I have eaten here a few times throughout the past couple of years. Angel has been my server the last couple of times. He is exceptional!! Even tho he was super busy my coffee never went past half empty. My food came out super fast, and was so delicious. I got the orange cream french toast. I would have incuded a picture, but I ate it as soon as it got to the table. Lol!!! Very clean restaurant, staff is always very friendly.

You can never go wrong with Mimi's especially when traveling. Had the Quiche Florentine with the side salad. Perfect summer dinner. Stephanie, our server was delightful and very accommodating. When in the area again I'll be sure to come back and ask for Stephanie. You should also!

The queue is truthfully scaring us... as we came-in on Tuesday, which is normally not-so-busy day for any restaurant. But, we need to wait for more than 10 minutes to get seated... well, it's okay. We love the decorations as it reminded us on our trip to French Quarter at New Orleans; the waitress is very professional and knowledgeable as well. So, our first impressions are good as we get seated into the restaurant. As I take a look on the menu, my wife ordered the "Seafood soup", as shown in the picture, while the waitress recommended "Tenderloin steak" for me. The waitress is definitely correct, it is one of the best tenderloin I've ever tried... very tasty, tender and perfect cooked to "medium". I loved it ! My wife "seafood soup" is not that great though... we're expecting something like Cioppino, but it's not that great. We closed our dinner with "3-sample-dessert", it's good with large portion... I love the bread pudding the most !

The "onion strings" were aesthetically pleasing but too oily for me. The turkey sandwich that accompanied it was fine though and all I managed to eat off my plate.

I've been coming here for years, and have never been too incredibly disappointed. My order has remained the exact same throughout the years, and it will continue to stay that way for years to come. I like the 5 cheese grilled cheese, because you basically have to wonder if you got any bread with your cheese. That is how freaking cheesy this thing is. I sometimes like to spice things up and order a side of tomato soup for dipping, but that is rare. The tomato soup itself is rich and delicious, but I don't need anymore calories added to my 912 calorie grill cheese that will only fill me up for a few hours. How do I know that it's 912 calories? The new menus give you all the calorie information! You'd think that would help me make healthy choices, but you thought wrong. MURCA. I was here not too long ago, and they informed me that they are converting the menu over to a "French bistro" feel, which will apparently match the decor. This change went into effect today, so I might have to go and check things out again soon to keep y'all updated. My level of service on Friday was unreal. My servers name was Molly, and she was fantastic. She had a great personality, was super helpful, and even got us money off on our bill. She's probably one of the best waitresses that I have ever had. If I had my own eatery, I would ask her to come work for me.

I couldn't resist the golden brown chicken pot pie pictured in the menu. I'm a big fan of thick flaky crust so I was actually disappointed when it came. The top crust was extremely thin and there wasn't much density to it. The innards were good but not what I had expected. The bread in the middle of the table was really tasty and our service was mediocre. I went to one of these restaurants years ago and enjoyed it much more than this experience.

It's okay. It is certainly better than a lot of the other chain breakfast joints, but it is a chain breakfast joint. If you are nearby and want a solid breakfast, Mimi's usually hits the spot. While the food may be just average, normal breakfast, the service is usually above par. We were at Mimi's this morning and we have been to this particular location a few times and the wait staff is always very good. There were 5 us of this morning and not one coffee cup reached empty, the food came out fast and the waitress was very friendly and fun. When it comes to breakfast, Mimi's is in the middle of the pack for me.

It's a cute place. I really like the food. I got the turkey sandwich. It was just a little bland, over all I would eat there again. My one complaint is the service is so so so slow and I think they forgot about us at one point even though we were stirring right in the middle of everything. Will go again for the food selection... Hopefully better service next time. It was disappointing.

Stepped in for some dinner and tried their Mahi Mahi Dinner, came with veggies and mashed potatoes. Tried their tomato bisque and it was good. At first arrival there wasn't a host available, but soon enough we were seated and enjoying their complimentary bread & butter. Mimi's never disappoints.

This location must do horrible on Sunday for everyone.. The company I work for decided to do a Sunday brunch kind of thing. I heard good things about their eggs Benedict amd decided that would be what I wanted. We didn't have to wait long to be seated but when we were it took forever to get our drinks. Everyone oredered their food aftwr about 15-20 minutes our waiter came by to tell me that they needed to make more hollandaise sauce and that it would take an extra 20-25 minutes. I'm not crazy with having to wait so I said it was okay, because eggs Benedict is what I really wanted. After I waited an hour, and every one was done eating our waiter came back and said they didnt have the ingredients to make the hollandaise sauce. I waited OVER AN HOUR while everyone in my party got to eat for NOTHING. I probably wont be back to Mimi's. I was so excited to go, and I can't even put into words how upset and disappointed I am that my first experience was so horrible.

Awful! I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict. The smoked salmon was so salty that it wasn't edible. On top of the smoked salmon they put capers to make it even more salty. It was honestly so gross! I picked the salmon off and ate the rest. When we left and got out to the parking lot I literally threw up. It was so embarrassing. McDonalds breakfast is better and way cheaper.

I called ahead to reserve a table for twelve. Everything was set up for us when we arrive, but there was only one sever. She mixed up some orders, but prepared separate checks for us. My expensive hot chocolate was made from powder which wasn't even mixed, so a big no on that. The waitress let me order a custom omelette which was delicious. The low fat blueberry muffin needed more fat (BUTTER) and the melons were average. Nice strawberry though.

I came in for breakfast - the quiche lorraine was lukewarm and the crust was soggy - definitely seemed like it had been frozen and reheated. My side of turkey sausages were somehow both dry and greasy at the same time. Ew. I declined more coffee when my cup was half full... only to then have to wait over 10 minutes after it was empty for the waitress to return (though I could hear her chatting with the other waitress around the corner). The jazz/musak was overly loud and uncomfortable. Would not return.

Just not impressed with this place. Sloppy greeting by the hostess, then seated at a tiny booth in the corner. Asked to be moved, and was seated at a just-as-tiny table crammed out in the middle of the floor elbow to elbow with the folks at the next table. Finally moved to a decent booth near a window. Waiter was very slow to take our order (to be fair he knew we were waiting for a third person). We had the Guacamole dip appetizer which was delicious but a bit short on chips. I ordered a chicken pot pie, which was average but a little thin for my taste. I like them thick and creamy and this wasn't at all. To top it all off, I bit into a nice chunk of chicken to find an inch and a half piece of bone. This is my third visit here, and while my other visits were better, none really impressed me. They were both breakfast visits. I also feel Mimi's is overpriced. They try to pull off an upscale image but they're just not there. Sorry - I won't be back.

First and last visit to Mimi's... Well, for breakfast that is. I'm not much of a pancake or waffle guy, so Mimi's really just didn't do it for me. The bacon and eggs was not even average and the service was what you expect from a cookie cutter chain restaurant. Some of the lunch items looked okay, but I could tell that a lot of what they put out just isn't as fresh as I would like, so unless someone takes me to Mimi's I'm afraid I won't be returning anytime soon. Sorry.... Not my kind of place.

Went to Mimi's for late lunch last week. Braden was our waiter. He was amazing. very attentive. We had several dietary changes to our orders. He made sure we were well taken care of. That waiter should run the place. Truly knows what good customer service is all about. Well done!!

I've been to this Mimi's a few times because it is by my house and people always want to try it out. I have to say that more often than not their food is not great and sometimes not good at all. I don't think they really know French cuisine or any truly great cuisine because their food always falls short. Service is the next big problem. This last experience was the straw that broke the camels back. My friends wanted to go there so I reluctantly agreed. After being sat (with a toddler) we waited over 15 minutes to be SPOKEN TO! Our server passed by us MULTIPLE times but was too busy (with only two other tables) to even acknowledge our presence, ask for our patience or anything. I waved down the manager who was accidentally bringing out food to a wrong table... Great first impression. She then quickly (thankfully) took our order. But then she made a mistake, not only did she just hand off our food order to our server but apparently she wrote it wrong or he read it wrong. Because there were five of us and they MESSED UP on EVERY SINGLE ORDER! I was charged for items that never made it to our table. Our drinks were often empty. They didn't bring bread or our 2 year olds food for 30 minutes. Our scone, muffin, soup and salad that come before the meal all came after the meals because we had to keep reminding our server about them. One of our salads I was charged for Didn't come at all!! AND A SOUP THAT CAME WITH THE MEAL WAS CHARGED ADDITIONALLY as well! We were in such a hurry to get out of there I didn't realize they had over charged us about $7.00 till getting home. Our kids meal came out too hot to even touch. Our son who had been really wearing thin after a 30 minute wait had to wait again for his food to cool down enough to eat. The worst part? They kept on apologizing for the horrible service yet we could see that they were standing around in the kitchen area talking while our drinks were empty, my pregnant friend had no water, and a toddler was hungry and they didn't offer bread, crackers, or anything. Further, & having a lot of experience in serving this was the shocker. the manager came and apologized multiple times but didn't even ask us to take off a meal on the bill, take off the food that never came, or take off the appetizers that came at the end of our main course. We still tipped them because I didn't want to be that mean but I felt like I'd let others know about this... & reading other reviews apparently I'm not alone.

I think Mimi's is a pretty general box type of restaurant but I like their variety and the nutritional values they provide for their dishes. It makes it a convenient and good place to eat while still maintaining a focus on nutrition.

Hands down my favorite breakfast in Northern Utah. They're muffins are always on point and warm and their eggs Benedict is amazing!

I have experienced WAY better. Our server could not have been more sickly, not-genuine...if she apologized one more time for screwing up our meal, I might have poked her in the eye.... We asked for salads, mine was delivered, my compatriot's was not...he asked, she apologized.... He ordered a cheese burger with no bun no nothing, it comes out with bun and this stuff on it...seriously, it was so simple but they screwed it up. And when told about the screw up, obviously it didn't matter too much..his meal didn't come back out until I had completely finished my meal! And she apologized so many times it was just awful and she really wasn't truthful! It was a sad experience that I can't wait to put way behind me!

Want a quick bit after flying home and stopped in at 8:30pm, poor choice. Waited over 5 min to get water, asked for lemon 3 times, never got it. Ordered 2 appetizers and cup of soup. Waited almost 30 min. Soup arrived burnt on top, had to ask for silverware, asked for ranch dressing 3 times and got 1 tiny cup for 3 people to share. Have loved Mimi's in past but not this time. Waiter was bad.

Jerry S.
The entire experience was not like any other Mimi's we have visited. First the host somehow lost our name on the wait list, causing us to wait an additional 10-15 minutes. Then the server was less than attentive, even causing us to ask for the complimentary bread basket (with the most delicious bread). The food itself (chicken pot pie, and Bistro steak) was good, but the service and atmosphere seemed like a Denny's versus a Mimi's. I also missed out on having a mint on the way out like I find at the Orem, UT Mimi's. We were underwhelmed and frustrated by the experience.

I was in the neighborhood and other plans didn't work out, so I found myself at Mimi's. That's my way of saying that it's not exactly destination dining, but it will do in a pinch. First things first. What's up with all the chickens in the decor in the waiting area? One wall had 14 of them. Stuffed. Lamps. Carved into wood. In prints. I get it--it's chicken motif. But can we throttle back a bit? We were seated in the Frenchy section. I've eaten at Mimi's once or twice before, but I honestly had no idea they were going for a French thing. Clearly that's their schtick, but they seemed to be beating that drum pretty loudly. The reason for the visit was hot chocolate, and they delivered. A big old cup of it with lots of whipped cream. I wasn't hungry when I came in, but I was talked into sharing a three-course special. We started with the tomato bisque (fun fact: tomato bisque is a misnomer. A true bisque is seafood, so technically it's a tomato cream soup) and it sorta tasted like a creamy spaghetti sauce. Not exactly handmade, but on a snowy night it actually hit the spot. I chose the chicken crêpes as an entree and to be perfectly honest they were about as I expected. Unceremoniously slapped on the plate, unevenly cooked, oversauced and it just didn't work for me. Fine. No big deal. Dessert was the triple chocolate sundae. The brownie was piping hot, the ice cream was fine and it was a nice little dish. Not fancy, not big, but I kinda liked that the portion was petite. Again, this wasn't destination dining. There are worse options to be had out there and we quite enjoyed the atmosphere as we spent a snowy night at dinner.

Not worth the effort. Couldn't eat the salad offer the lobster bisque. Server was almost totally insane, and everyone was waiting for the bad food.

While I was a big fan of some of their old menu items and miss some of them, some of the new items are pretty darn tasty. The Turkey Apple Brie Croissant Sandwich is to die for, and the salads and muffins are the same classics. The service seems to have actually improved lately, and it has always been above average in my experience, especially at this location. Good job, managers!
The service here is atrocious. We walked in at 8, waited ten minutes for a server to finally acknowledge us, and then he had to take our drink orders twice. Okay, maybe he's having a bad night, it's excusable. It took him several tries to get our food orders correct, and then he disappeared. It was 8:55 and we were getting ready to leave, when the food finally showed up. The bouillabaisse was lukewarm, my burger was cooked into shoe leather despite a request for medium-rare, and my friend had limp side dishes that were better than the fish. All in all it was too much trouble to correct it, as we didn't want to be there for another hour, so we put up with it and then got the hell out of there.

Mimi's-Friday's-Chili's-Outback-Appleby's-Red Lobster-Olive Garden-Texas Roadhouse. Say it 10 times really fast...because it's all the same food. Some add more Old Bay, and some add more Parmesan; but it's all virtually analogous. Here's what Mimi's does different (making her somewhat better) than her aforementioned fellow fraternal septupleteers: - Decor (New Orleans jazz / Montana farm / French bistro) - I like to think that Lady Gaga did Mimi's decor before she became a household name. My personal favorite pieces are the big black ... roosters ... that repeat throughout the building. - !! Breakfast Alcohol !! They make a decent Mimosa. Or, my favorite, a Pomosa (yup, with pomegranate juice). They also have a couple of other variations by which to get your morning booze on. - Free Gargantuan Muffins. I personally like the LowFat Blueberry, because it's lowfat and still tasty. I'm guessing it's probably .00001% lower in fat than the other muffins, but still. Some of the others look much better, but I'll always stick with LFB. Oh, did I mention these muffins are big enough to wrap in a napkin and keep in your (x-lg) handbag for an entire future meal? They are. Uhm. Yeah. That's about it. For me, if it's breakfast-time, I'll take Mimi's over the rest of her family. But any other time, blindfold me, spin me around, put the food in front of me and I probably wouldn't be able to tell at which I was dining.

PRESENTATION: This place has a cozy feel to it. TASTE: Their bread basked is amazing. I don't know what kind of bread it was, but it was good. The hot chocolate I got for the nice cold weather helped, it was delicious. Every entree I tried over there was pretty good not to bad. Their muffins are pretty good. I must come back and try their brunch menu. SERVICE: Somehow our server seems like she was trying to get out cause either she was cut or was trying to clean up. She was helpful, but at the same time she just seem bothered. VALUE: The price was okay, it wasn't to bad. Wouldn't think that I would run back to this place if I was craving for something good.

Worst ever... I've been coming here for years and the service has gone to down hill... Hostess can't get a wait time right to save their life and wait staff isn't much better. There are a lot of other restaurants around this one. Go there

Got talked into going to Denny's French cousin- mimis cafe- because when you have family staying in sandy, including a pair of three year olds, and they're hankering for breakfast- really, what else is there. Predictably, for an applebees style chain eatery, their menu options, portions, and wall lining kitsch were all plentiful. The food was better than I expected although still designed to appeal to the widest possible audience, and suburban Utah is about as wide ( and white ) as it gets. So I took the bland hollandaise and bacon on literally everything in stride. What can I say, the family enjoyed it, the kids ran amok without consequence ( as the huge new-yorker style painting covered in crayon can attest) and we left feeling like we got what we paid for.

Meh...Sums it up. This was a very disappointing visit. I've gone to Mimi's Cafe, for years. The last time, I was at the Sandy location it was great, this time, it left MUCH to be desired. We were greeted by a girl, who was about as friendly as a wet mop... And the waitress was worse!! It was almost as if someone was holding a gun to their heads to go to work and get paid. Our table was a little dirty and disorganized. We ordered our food, and the waitress, whom I was tryin to give the benefit of the doubt, maybe she was having a bad day? Seemed to be annoyed she had to take our order and do her job. After about 10 minutes she comes back and said, what I ordered is out, no apologies, just handed me the menu to go over again...when she came back, still with an attitude I might add, she took my new order and walked away. The food was ok. I got a cappuchino for $4, it was edible...but for that price; I can go to starbucks and get something great that I would be satisfied with. The Food and Drink were not worth the price, especially with the service... The worst I've had in a looong time! And just when I thought it couldn't get worse, I decided to use the restroom. Ugh. It was dirty and looked like a 12 year old was in charge of cleaning it...not what I expected from Mimi's! I will NOT be returning to this location. Good luck Mimi's Cafe, hope you can turn it around.

I've been to Mimi's several times. I use to work right around the corner. Today I decided to have breakfast here with my kids. I had forgotten how much I liked this place. The food is fresh + tasty. The service was outstanding. I would give this place 5 stars, but i'm trying to reserve that for extraordinary dining experiences. Here's a tip - if you order one of their enormous muffins, don't finish it before your meal comes out. The portions here are huge.

We have been here a few times several years ago. It has changed a lot! Service was okay. The food was good, but there was an awkward feeling as soon as we walked in. It was disorganized and uncomfortable! I don't see us ever going back!

Went here with my girlfriend on a date, first night in town. Food was a bit expensive and frankly wasn't that great. Place was packed though so maybe it was just me. The service was fast and friendly. Besides that it was meh. Might give it another try sometime.

I put this place in the category of decent food with drinks, the equivalent of a T.G.I.Fridays or a Chili's, but the menu is different and 1 MILLION TIMES BETTER. We had a server with a great personality, knowledge of the menu, and who served everything in a timely manner and never left us wondering where she was or where the food was. They offer huge muffins instead of bread and my father-in-law was in heaven. I don't recall any of the chains in the area offering bread before your meal. I ordered their chicken sandwich and the chicken was juicy, the avocado ripe and fries crispy. I really liked it. My father-in-law had a salmon salad. He said the salmon was perfectly prepared. The menu had lots of options and prices were reasonable. Food gets a 3, price 4 and our server (I think her name was Deandrea) gets a 5+ star rating.

Service was awesome but the food was not so awesome! The chicken parmasagna was awful! Had no taste at all and the chicken was quite chewy too, like chewing gum. We never went back.

Had breakfast there this morning and the service was terrible! If we weren't meeting an old friend and we didn't have a long drive a head of us, we would have walked out. Everyone was so hungry that the taste of the food wasn't an issue. I do have to say, their muffins were amazing! I will go some where else next time.

I met a friend at Mimi's for lunch today. It was my first visit here. There was no wait and a lot of open tables. Reading other reviews this must be THE place to take screaming kids to and think it is acceptable. It isn't in my book. If your kid is screaming please take them outside until they stop or get your things and leave if they won't. I know you want to spend some time out and want to have a meal, but that is no excuse to ruin everyone else's meal. You know who you are! Our waiter was prompt to bring drinks to the table, but once again I had a waiter that seemed to hover and rush me into ordering. I don't feel that I take an inordinate amount of time to decide, but it seems lately that have had servers pushing me into deciding too quickly. I didn't feel that I even had time to look over the menu. At one point the waiter was actually standing right by me while I was looking it over. When I was leaving so was my waiter. Was that it? Did he want to make sure he got his last tip of the day and didn't want to have to share it with anyone else? Did he not want to have to stay past quitting time? I ordered the Turkey Pesto Ciabatta, which is made with roasted turkey, bacon, mozzarella, tomato, avocado and basil pesto mayonnaise. The turkey was actually roasted turkey and not cold cuts, which is what I had expected. It was pretty good, but huge. That was fine I had the other half for dinner. One complaint, it only had avocado on one half. I would have given it more stars (I wish you could add a half star) except for the waiter, mentioned above, and the fact that a kid's meal of scrambled eggs and bacon was 4.49. There wasn't a lot of food for that price. It was two pieces of bacon and a scrambled egg. There was some fresh fruit which was nice, but I still don't feel that it was worth that much. My sandwich was reasonably priced for what was in it.

Ok I shouldn't have been surprised but Mimi's is really an upscale diner. The food was ok but I don't think I would recommend going to Mimi's on a weekend unless you like a lot of young kids. I like kids but I don't particularly like crying kids while I am dinning out. I ordered the grilled cheese and it was fair. Good thing the had one on my favorite beers Stella! My wife says it's much better during the weekdays but I will have to hold judgement on that.

Great breakfast place. The specialty omelets are wonderful. Atmosphere is "New Orleans Jazzy" with some nice jazz playing in the background. Very cute place.

Once again great food! But today we also had amazing service from our amazing waitress Ashley. Hopefully you will get her great service, it's a great compliment to the food. We visit this place about one every other month and have never been disappointed with the food.

I'm really not sure why we keep coming back here. We like the eclectic atmosphere (is it a cafe? is it a bistro? what exactly is it??) and we have always received friendly service, but the quality of the food has gone steadily down on our last few visits. The menu is all over the place...there are "comfort classics" like pot roast, meatloaf, and chicken pot pie. There are also pasta choices, sandwiches, ribs, burgers, seafood, etc. And there are "Asian" and "Italian" choices. Maybe they need to cut back the menu and focus on fewer things they can do well. We usually start with soup, but the clam chowder and French onion soup tend to arrive lukewarm. I've been particularly disturbed that anything that has ground meat (i.e. meatloaf, burgers, Salisbury steak, etc) is afflicted by terrible quality. Every other bite is a roll of the dice for biting into gristle, or even worse, bone fragments. I nearly chipped several of my teeth making my way through one slice of meatloaf recently. For casual dining, we will stick to Olive Garden, Texas Roadhouse, and Cheesecake Factory in the future.

(3)Caitie R.
I really love this place - but only when sitting in the front area by the windows! (The back is dark & not nearly as nice). I've been here probably a dozen times, and every time the people are polite & helpful. Great food, great portion sizes, I've really loved everything I've ordered. A great go-to restaurant for me!
(4)Celeste H.
The hostess, Sam I think, was a little on the rude side but the servers were very friendly. Angel on the bar is the best thing to ever happen to mimis cafe. The fries are sooo GOOD!
(5)Steve R.

(2)Maria S.
Love love love the French onion soup. But not enjoying the fact that the managers are having a very uncomfortable employee conversation right next to my table. Or the fact the table across from me has been dirty the white time I've been here.
(2)Michelle K.
(3)Nikki B.
(5)Michele M.

(3)James H.
The "onion strings" were aesthetically pleasing but too oily for me. The turkey sandwich that accompanied it was fine though and all I managed to eat off my plate.
(3)Karli P.
(5)Jason C.
(3)Ryan C.
(3)Alexandra S.
(3)Sal M.
(4)Joe B.
Great coffee. The chicken pot pie is great. I have had their breakfast the food is always fresh and taste like its farm fresh but i don't know for sure.
(4)Andi M.
(1)Becky J.
(1)Shauna S.
(3)Brian A.
What a horrible experience! Food came out cold and rubbery and the service was atrocious. I wouldn't feed my food I got there to a stray dog.
(1)Chelsea M.
(1)Mike B.
(1)Greg R.
I had a great breakfast. I had the bacon and apple waffles. They were very good. Friendly staff and no wait time on a Saturday morning.
(4)Deano G.
(2)Laurie G.
Went to Mimi's for late lunch last week. Braden was our waiter. He was amazing. very attentive. We had several dietary changes to our orders. He made sure we were well taken care of. That waiter should run the place. Truly knows what good customer service is all about. Well done!!
(5)Paul W.
I had the bacon and egg burger with onion strings. It was meh. My girlfriend had the quiche and a salad. It was meh. I probably won't return.
(3)S M.
Beautiful place with ok prices. Decent service. Great parking. So, so food that leaves a bad taste and an upset stomach for both of us. Dirty restroom, smelled bad like a stockyard. Never again.
(2)Anita F.
(1)Baxter D.
I think Mimi's is a pretty general box type of restaurant but I like their variety and the nutritional values they provide for their dishes. It makes it a convenient and good place to eat while still maintaining a focus on nutrition.
(4)Stacha M.
Hands down my favorite breakfast in Northern Utah. They're muffins are always on point and warm and their eggs Benedict is amazing!
(5)Jennifer F.
(2)Dona S.
(2)Jerry S.
(1)Dorothy L.
This place was alright. The server was nice but the food wasn't anything great. It wasn't horrible but it was just Ok. I don't think I'd try it again.
(3)Tiff S.
The food was okay, nothing amazing. Unless you get a muffin, the best muffin I've ever had from a restaurant. I had the blueberry, so moist & real blueberries!! The service was great our waiter was top of everything & so friendly.
(4)Jeffrey S.
(3)John F.
Not worth the effort. Couldn't eat the salad offer the lobster bisque. Server was almost totally insane, and everyone was waiting for the bad food.
(1)Erin A.
(4)Bambi D.
When I moved to Sandy a year ago this was one of the first restaurants I tried in the area, and since then have only eaten here a handful of times for lunch before heading to the mall. It's not that the food is bad, what kills my desire to come here it's the wait. Every time I've come was I was able to sit down right away but the food takes forever. And I'm talking over 35 mins for a soup and half a sandwich. But if you have the time to wait it's worth it. The décor is fun to look, they really went all out with the French district décor but it's dirty. Like flies stuck on those wine bottles with peppers inside them. It's really gross so don't get up and personal with the décor it may ruin your appetite. The staff has always been friendly and comes by often to fill your drinks as well as let you know the status of your food...and due to the wait time it's often. Now last time I came I had a Mimosa and a sandwich. It's never too late/early for their mimosa because they do it right. A tall glass of Mimosa with the left over champagne in another glass to add if needed, and if you're like me it's needed. ;) So if you don't mind the wait time and are already in the South Towne Mall area then give it a shot.
(4)Lizzy S.
