Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Most popular condiments used in hamburgers in the United States are mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup. Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.
Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States. The individual hamburgers served at restaurants are prepared using everything including lettuce, onion, tomato, and sliced pickles as well as melted cheese on the patty or crumbled on top. American restaurants also serve veggie burgers for those who don't relish meat. Cheeseburgers are also hot favorite in the United States.
McDonalds is the most popular fast food burger restaurant serving different types of burgers in the United States. On the other hand, there are several restaurants such as Burger King are famous for serving the best hamburgers in the United States. Most burger restaurants in the United States often serve hamburgers with French fries and other condiments. If you have a liking for burgers in the United States, then you won't be disappointed. Food is good little bit spendy, but only a little. AVOID THE DRIVE THRU!!! You cannot hear them they cannot hear you and your order is certain to get MESSED UP.

Stopped in for dinner with a big group before an RSL game and was pleasantly surprised. The place was really busy, but the line moved fast and we got our food quickly as well. The staff was helpful and cleaned off some tables for us and pushed them together. The food was quite tasty and good size. The crown burger is a 1/4lb patty with pastrami as well. The meet was fresh and the bun was soft and good ratio to the burger. The fries were good, but nothing amazing, thick cut and soft. The restaurant is a pretty basic, seat yourself, get the food at the counter kind of place, but still nice.

The place you go to for a good burger, fries, fry sauce and speedy service. Need I say more? Nope - except their bathrooms could use some attention.

Real rating is 4.5 stars I love the fry sauce so I always make sure to hit up a Crown Burger when in SLC for business. I would recommend this place if you're visiting Utah and enjoy a good burger. This location was near my hotel so I went here instead of my usual location on Highland Drive. The food is great. I've been to Crown Burger at least 3 times now and everything is freshly prepared. The fries are actually warm, which is greatly appreciated. The food is worth 5 stars, but I'm deducting 1 star because of parking and how they handle drink orders at this location. The parking lot is huge compared to the other location I mentioned, but it was way in the back. Maybe there was another lot upfront that I completely missed? Anyway, I'm lazy and that walk was not welcome. As for the drink, I ordered a combo and expected to be handed my cup so I could fill it myself. That wasn't the case at this location. They filled it for me behind the counter. It wasn't super packed so I couldn't watch the locals to see if free refills was an option. I prefer minimal contact with strangers, and I don't need extra calories, so I didn't ask for a refill.

One of my favorite local places to eat in Utah is this place. It is just filled with the quirky menu items from Greek run burger joints that you usually only see widespread in Utah. For instance, the Crown Burger, a pastrami topped charbroiled burger, nuff said. Have it with their fries and the special Utah fry sauce and it's like you've discovered another creamy pink thing to love (insert bad innuendo here). The shakes are pretty good too, very thick that you can't sip it thru a straw, you need to use a spoon. Puts the Sonic shakes to shame. Since this is also a Greek place they also have a gyro plate which is pretty good too. The decor of this place is also kind of quirky. A stone fireplace with a coat of arms separates the front order counter from the dining area. In the far back there are lion statues and there medieval swords displayed on the walls. Anyway, if you are in town visiting, come here to enjoy a delicious quirky taste of Utah.

Just ok. Tuna melt cheese not even close to being melted, tuna (although a nice amount! ) was cold. Husband had the Crown Burger, was good, pastrami pretty dry. Carmel shake, didn't taste like carmel at all until took the lid off & stirred the carmel in that was stuck down the side of the cup. Decent price but think I'd rather spend bit more and get better quality somewhere else.

Food is amazing, but customer service sucks! There have been a few times they've given me the wrong thing and instead of saying sorry, they just say "well I didn't charge you for that". Okay.. That is not a good response, I'm sorry you didn't charge me but that's how you read my order back to me. Probably won't be going here again, I'll go to JCW's.

SOUTH JORDAN, UT: Came in to try the semi-famous Crown Burger. It did not disappoint! This little restaurant is part is a small Utah chain that is quite popular. The ambience is warm and a little tacky, with swords and shields mounted on the walls next to dusty plastic potted "plants." The burger rocked: delicious smoky fire-grilled flavor, huge helpings of pastrami, delicious melted cheese, fresh veggies. 5 stars.

This particular location was okay. I'm used to the one in Salt Lake and everything at those locations seemed to be a little more greasy and accurate. This location had a very well kept soda machine and they were decently nice. My order took awhile and it came out OK. It was just a little overloaded on pastrami and such. Not a bad experience, but not my best crown burger experience.
(3)Ryan L.
This place rocks. Thick, crispy fries like they're supposed to be, great onion rings, great shakes, and of course really good burgers. Gotta love that pastrami on top! Can get pretty busy depending on what convention is going on across the street.
(4)Seth B.
Crown Burger is a classic. The pastrami burger is really, really good. The pastrami itself could be better, but it gets the job done. I love the fries here, simple yet delicious. The fry sauce here is great as well. All in all, Crown Burger's menu isn't extravagant, but what they do, they do well.
(4)Maestro L.
stale dry bun, over cooked burger and long wait for fast food. bland burger
(2)C Y.
Never disappoints and a must when I stop in SLC. Great burgers, cheese fries and onion rings, and very low cost. LOVE!
(5)Long N.
Took the family Crown Burger before a REAL game and the family was hooked. if its you're first time, order a Crown burger. which is a pastrami burger and they have good fry sauce. Shakes are thick and rich..a must have.
(4)Tori A.
I love Crown Burger! I've been going there for years and years, I started out with the grilled cheese as a little girl, and now I've graduated to the Jr. Crown Burger. I don't even like pastrami, but on a Crown Burger, it is a must! Their fry sauce and onion rings can't be beat. All in all a great place.
(5)Jenni S.
We get "crowned" regularly! The fries are very good and the chili is also better than average. You must try the pastrami or you're missing out. I actually get the garden burger most of the time which may sound counter intuitive, but they use the Gardenburger brand patties which aren't pretending to be meat and that makes a huge difference to me. It also makes me feel slightly better about consuming all that fry sauce and enjoying their always tasty caramel shakes.
(4)Zephas M.
I love a good cheeseburger and fries. And this place is definitely on my burger run list. Cheese burger, fries (with fry sauce) and a coke. Say no more. :-)
(5)Sean W.
I was craving a crown burger today so I went in and ordered up a burger and some onion rings. The food was tasty but really really heavy on the grease. Also, I don't think that I've ever seen so many people just standing around behind the counter at a fast food joint. For having so many employees, the service was pathetically slow.
(3)Greg T.
Really good Burgers, Shakes and Fries. Similar to all of the other Greek owned burger places like Apollo, Astro Etc. But it seems like it is a step up from the others. Love the gyros too.
(4)Mr D.
This place is obviously better than mcdonalds (exluding the fries of course) but not by a long shot. The fry sauce is just thousand island dressing so don't let the reviews get you too worked up about that. The Crown Burger is good probably because they pile pastrami on top of the small little pattie. The service was friendly and you can watch them flipping burgers in front of you so that's worth something. All in all it's an ok experience, not amazing but not gross. The interior decorating is also worth going there for - medieval times meets fast food. -The Junior Crown Burger is enough for a fully grown adult.

If you haven't been to Crown Burger before.... Run, Ride, Fly, Skate, Drive, Board or however you wanna get there, just do it NOW! Not only should you expect to find a great staff and clean environment, the food is out of this world. Don't be surprised if you have feelings like, "there must be aliens back there cause this food just isn't possible!" Anyway, I'm not sure why you're still reading, GO EAT NOW!
(5)Ryan C.
Crown Burger Virgins! A co-worker and I went to Crown Burger today for lunch. Neither of us had ever been to Crown Burger before so we weren't sure what to expect. The service: We went at the peak of the lunch rush and we waited for less than 5 minutes to order and receive our food. Even though there was a line, it moved really fast. The food: I just don't understand why people eat at the big burger chains when they can come here and get real meat and real cheese for the same price. The bacon on my bacon cheeseburger was thick and really good! This location has quite a bit of seating so even during the lunch rush, it was not hard to find a place to sit. There was also plenty of parking which was nice. Overall, it was a great experience and we'll both be back.
(4)Rochelle S.
I always crave Crown burgers when not in SLC. Big gourmet beefy taste without the gourmet burger prices. I like restaurants where I can see the food being made. This place is clean and uses proper food handling practices.
(5)Steve M.
This place is pretty cool because the make your burger right out in the open. The problem with the open platform is that you can actual see when employees are doing things they should not. For example, when I visited crown they were training a new crew of workers. One worker coughed into her hand and brushed her nose immediately after no less than 4 times while I waited for my lunch. Thank god she didn't touch MY food! If she had, I would have asked for a refund and left. This is food service 101. If you cough you put your mouth into your shirt sleeve. If you forget a and cough into your hand, excuse yourself, wash your hands and return to the front while drying your hands so your customers can see that you must have just washed. The food, however was very good. The crown burger was excellent with The pastrami added to it.... Train your workers and you would have a 4 star....
(3)Suman C.
The fries are truly excellent. The burger has good flavor; unfortunately it was a rather small amount of meat for the price which was $5. It's about the same amount of meat on an ordinary cheeseburger at a regular fast food place. If you go here, get the double cheeseburger.
(2)Heather C.
My fiancé and I took our kids and were very underwhelmed. The food was very greasy and both our buns were so soggy. The Crown burger was far too loaded with pastrami that you couldn't even taste the hamburger.
(2)Erica P.
I'm a big fan of delicious burger joints. This place is delicious! Made at order burgers are the best. Had the bacon cheeseburger and loved it! Not too shabby Crown Burger!
(4)Craven M.
Been here several times. Food is always good. Not very expensive. Service is ALWAYS on point, seem to have good employees.. Great variety of menu items. Always clean. Definitely a go to.
(4)Kris B.
Love bringing folks who visit slc here. As far as I know, the pastrami burger was born here, and it's made here best. Fry sauce, a crown burger, and any shake is the perfect apres ski meal. Folks always point out and love the way cashiers call out your order on the mike and speakers for each order.
(5)Lisa L.
It was late, and I had to feed my kids. They agreed to grilled cheese sandwich kids meals. We made it about ten minutes before closing, which I felt awful about. The staff looked like they were ready to go, but they were so professional and said it was okay for us to stay. I really should have ordered the gyro that my brother picked. He gave me his last bite, and it was delicious. My other brother's Crown burger looked great too. I got the grilled cheese, like my kids. It was pretty good. My mom loved the hot fries with fry sauce. Next time I will order something more grown up and get there earlier.
(4)Angie Chrisley L.
The manager is awesome. The crown burger was so good. We will definitely come back again. Try the baklava it is so very YUMMY.
(5)Angie H.
How many employees do they need to make burgers & fries? I always see about 12 people behind the counter standin' around. There are usually only two things I order on the menu, the tuna melt or the bacon cheeseburger combo, with fries (sometimes I order onion rings), and a diet coke. They have fabulous food, awesome fry sauce, and the grilled cheese sandwiches are pretty good too!! My only complaint is the amount of money it costs to feed our family of 4. Over 30 bucks...perhaps if they reduced their number of employees... they could lower their prices. When I pay THAT kind of money at a drive-thru -- it makes me wonder if I should have taken my family out to a sit down restaurant. But yep, the food is slammin' and they have just about every item you can think of on their menu. Including deep fried zucchini (something I crave every now and then).
(4)Robert B.
I've only had their pastrami and pastrami burgers. The burger is ok, messy and kind of bland. I enjoy their pastrami sandwich much more. If you like pastrami, their sandwich is similar to the famous "the hat" restaurant in LA. Served with lots of meat, pickles and mustard.
(4)Chris L.
After reading the reviews here, I decided to give them a try while visiting SLC. I was pretty underwhelmed. For my family of three, three regular hamburger combos and one small sundae was $33, which seemed pretty steep. We could have eaten for less at Texas Roadhouse. The burgers themselves were flame broiled but nothing special, just regular frozen patties. The strawberry sundae was just soft serve with generic strawberry syrup on top. Overall, I was pretty disappointed and probably wont go back.

PRESENTATION: I wouldn't know cause we went through the drive thru TASTE: I got a jr bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. Lets say I was really disappointed in the onion rings. It had no taste at all, it just tasted like corn meal, cold, and dry. SERVICE: The lady at the drive thru was Hispanic so she couldn't hear us or something cause we repeated our order like three times and repeated our questions so many times cause she couldn't hear us till we yelled into the mic. VALUE: For the value of the food I would've gone to a better crown burger

Stopped in to try the Crown Burger after hearing many great things. The decoration in this location was extremely unexpected...not sure if they are all like this. Need to go to town and check that out some time. I have to say, they have one of the more interesting menus for what I was expecting to be a full on fast food restaurant. Check out the menu before you go, I was a bit overwhelmed...but stuck with my original plans. The Crown Burger was OK...I think i was expecting more. Might have just been that it was very slow so the food was not being sent through quickly and they were off their game. They had 10~12 people back behind the counter, so I have to assume they get busy at some point. A large group came through after us with a massive order, and they got it out quickly enough. Seating area had a nice area where you can put together a bunch of tables. Burger and fries came out hot and decently tasty. Didn't live up to my expectations but I guess I was to excited about having pastrami and fry sauce on my burger. Will give them another try, possibly one of the ones closer to downtown Salt Lake next time.

This is actually a very convenience location they got on this part of State St. There are three popular locations within walking distance: Rio Tinto Stadium, South Towne Expo Center, and Jordan Commons. I believe they still let you park in their parking lot free if you eat before the soccer game. While they do not serve the gourmet stuff like restaurants, they do not serve craps you would find in nationwide fast food joints. That is usually where the expectation I set this place to be. Their most popular item is the Gyro and probably one of my favorite things to get here as well, while they are not as good as the ones at Greek restaurant, they are good enough for a quick Greek fix. The Crown Burger is definitely an Utah-ish fast food burger joint, especially when they have Fry sauce available. Adding on the location convenience, I am definitely a fan of this particular spot.
(4)Emma H.
Sometimes these restaurants can be a hit and miss, this one is a hit!!! Always hot, juicy, fresh food! Never too busy. Service sometimes takes a while but what do you expect when it's cooked fresh when you order? I recommend this location with both thumbs up!
(5)Hans L.
Crown burger had just the right amount of char on the patty, pastrami had just the right amount of flavor and seasoning and was not overly dry, fry sauce worked well, but buns could be more toasty. I went around 5 and was very empty, maybe just a chill day. Place is nice and literally across the street from rio tinto. They have like +12 staff, so definitely can host big groups. The price is a bit much for just a fast food burger, it is bordering gourmet, but still it is too pricey for the value. Definitely give it a try, but not sure if would go back.
(3)Chris K.
I've been coming to this place with my dad for years. The owner, whom is extremely friendly, runs the place like a champ. The food is always great, consistent, and offered at the right price. Oh, and their fry sauce is the best I've ever had. Don't miss this gem!
(5)Steve S.
Great burgers. Rivals in n out.
(4)Greg H.
I've been eating at Crown Burger when in SLC for a few decades, going back to the time I attended the U in the mid-80's (started at the downtown location, but have eaten a lot at Highland Drive and Sandy). Went to the Sandy location on the the 4th of July to grab a bite before taking in fireworks. I am so disappointed. First, the place was not busy when we arrived and staff was standing around and it was filthy. The bathrooms had towels and messes everywhere. We ordered and when we went to pick a seat we found the dining room filthy as well. fries and mustard packets and napkins everywhere. I grabbed their broom and dust-pan thing to make booth decent. Then an employee ran out "What happened, what happened, did you spill?" like i made some kind of mess (hadn't received our order yet). The food was the next disappointment. That was the thinnest burger patty I've ever had. Not nearly as quality or substance as I remembered. My shake was sickeningly sweet, couldn't drink it. I think back to all the angry-but-dedicated greek men behind the counter when I first went to Crown Burger. They wouldn't have tolerated this. With In-N-Out in the area and Smash Burger, Five Guys, Lark Burger and others on their way, Crown Burger better improve their game, or they'll go the way of Arctic Circle.
(1)Kevin R.
I would give this same review for all of the Crown Burger locations I have been to, Layton, Downtown SLC, Highland Drive.. If you've never been here, its worth a try. This place is so great because of its consistency - no matter where, the food is always good, and the experience is always enjoyable. I have always stuck with burgers at this place - the cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger, and crown burger are all delicious. The patty is cooked perfectly - not too crispy, just right. The toppings have always been fresh. Most people have a love/hate relationship with their fry sauce (or fry sauce in general) but I find that it complements the burger and fries much better than ketchup. The fries are thick, filling, not too greasy, and i feel you get an equal portion every time. Onion rings are sometimes not the best, depending on how fresh they are, but I have had worse at more upscale restaurants. For the price, the food is great. I would rather pay a few dollars more for quality hamburger and fries, than at a fast food chain where you pay a few dollars more for an empty feeling meal.
(5)Harsha R.
I love Crown Burger's fries. I love Crown Burger's fry sauce. And now, they have started offering a Garden Burger. The veggie patty was fresh and together with the tomatoes and lettuce, the burger was delicious. I would have liked to see red onions in it as well. But in a way, I suppose it's all good. Dealing with post-lunch-onion-breath can be quite troublesome. I really can't ask for more from a burger joint. Five stars.
(5)Tom C.
Got the grilled ham & cheese meal, different from my usual Gyro there which is delecious. But the ham & cheese was oozing of cheesy goodness and perfectly butter grilled bread was amazing aswell & even though theyre always busy it never seems to tske long to get your food. Pretty much anything on their menu is amazing.
(5)Jason K.
Really nothing special. They serve all sorts of burgers, fries, hot dogs, fish sandwiches, gyros, etc. Their claim to fame (apparently a Utah delicacy) is the Crown Burger, a cheeseburger with "pastrami". In theory, this sounds delicious. However, Utahns, you have not been eating real pastrami!!! Let me say that again, "pressed meat" rolls covered with pastrami spices do not a pastrami make. Pastrami should come from nice fatty brisket (not round!!) which has been corned. It is then covered with pastrami spices and is smoked. Finally, it is heated by steaming before being sliced and served piping hot. Whew, had to get that off my chest. In any case, their other burger/sandwiches are okay...I preferred by far the burgers from Five Guys and In N Out. I did enjoy the gyro platter (thought the Tsatsiki sauce was a bit on the thin side).
(3)Ryan S.
Came here before going over to the Rv Show. I enjoyed my crown burger and fries. I found it to be very similar to Apollo Burger which shouldn't surprise anybody. I did notice there seemed to be a bit of a difference in the fry sauce though, which I quite liked. All in all it was ok, but Apollo Burger is 40 miles closer. FYI, if you eat at Crown Burger before going over to an event at the South Town Expo Center you can stay parked there and walk on over.
(3)David N.
Yes, this place definitely will draw me back the next time I'm in UT. Fantastic burgers, awesome fries, and very good milkshakes. One of the better burger places you will find in the country.
(4)Cherie E.
Greasy spoon on a cold day??? What....I'm so there! I have heard nothing but good things about this place and you know what THEY WERE RIGHT!!! Great burgers and great shakes! Their signature burgers have pastrami on them with a thousand island type sauce. Hey I don't know if the pastrami is fake but it tasted good. But really can we complain if a fast food greasy spoon place has fake pastrami? If its edible and not going to kill me then I'm good. And the chocolate chip shake has the best chocolate chips I have ever tasted. We got a large and we had a lot of left over chocolate chips at the bottom. Oh if I only had some cookie dough with it and make some yummy chocolate chip cookies.. *sigh*.. I ended up getting the kids crown burger combo because I figured the portions would be to big for me. The kids combo was just the right size...
(4)Jay T.
Always super busy before and after RSL games or events at the South Towne Expo Center. Go for the crown burger, which comes loaded with pastrami, or the grilled cheese, which is a little bundle of comfort on chilly days.
(4)Richard S.
Is it just in my head that Apollo Burger in Orem rocks this place? In today's market you've really got to have a killer hamburger if you want to make it. With so many other choices, this one is close to the bottom of my list.
