Just got back from Steamboat. Went to a breakfast hot spot where the pork and green chilie breakfast was said to be "the best". Not! Jim's Chile Verde breakfast just cannot be beaten. Jim's flavor was much more robust and the pork tender and perfectly cooked.

Came here while on vacation. My Great Aunt loves this place so it was natural for her to bring us here. The food was pretty good and everyone knew my Great Aunt and came over and gave her a hug. Very warm and friendly and good food. Needs an update with the decor , though
Jims is my absolute favorite weekend breakfast spot! The food is OUTSTANDING and super cheap! I recommend the Jims Special with a side of gravy....AWESOME

Prices are affordable, menu is pretty much traditional and average, cozy little diner but the food could use some help, everything was just too salty. I had the the country fried steak skillet, it sounded and looked delicious but unfortunately it didn't taste as good as it looked. Servers are nice and good with keeping up with the refills.

Not a bad place. Large portions ... good coffee ... friendly service. They will make substitutions for the toast and potatoes that I won't eat ... a good thing. I'll make my way back to Jim's at some point while checking out different restaurants for breakfast.

Nothing to exciting. Selection of foods is average though the taste of the food is less so. My grandparents love this place but me.... not so much. Maybe I've just picked the wrong menu items?

I think half of the reviews on here call this a typical diner, which is about the most accurate assessment (it reminded me a lot of Denny's). Supposedly, this place was said to have a fantastic corned beef hash, so I went there to get that. The "hash" came in square chunks of potato and was ok, but nothing I would consider great or or best or anything. I wasn't impressed enough to go through the rest of the menu, even though all I had to do was walk through a fence to get there, but maybe a better example would be a slightly more upscale Dee's in terms of decor and service and probably right around the same level of food quality. Pricing, as I recall, was right in the same area also. If you happened to be by this when you wanted breakfast, it would be a good choice, but in no way would I consider driving to this from any great distance.

Jim's is your typical diner. Service is great and friendly. I ordered the corn beef hash breakfast, it was good, nothing too memorable. However I order the scone on the side as some recommended. Beware the scone is not your regular type of scone, rather it is a large piece of fried dough with some gooey vanilla type of icing in a little cup on the side. It is definitely not for the faint of heart. My BF ordered a western omelette that was pretty good. The portions are pretty big here, my BF's two pancakes were the size of his plate!

Wish they would update the inside, and not the best quality food, but it is good food, especially the breakfast and the scones are a must if you're there for the morning! My favorite though is the waitresses treat you like you're family and make sure you're right at home along with the management.

Jim's Family Restaurant is your typical diner style environment, but with some pretty good eats. Newbies to Utah should definitely order up a scone to try out, which comes served with honey butter. It's a delicious treat! Their omelets are tasty, their hashbrowns are tasty! Jim's is a recommended breakfast spot for sure.

I fgorget about this place and should go more often. I'm tired of cookie cutter franchises that all have the same menu. Jims is home style cooking and always good. We have only been there for breakfast in the past, but the prime rib they were starting to serve looked great. The scones are a must try! We will try lunch there very soon.

Typical diner feel. The building is comfortable and clean. Friendly staff and good food. I had the turkey avacado sandwich - it was very good. The turkey was homemade and juicy. Mmmm. Great prices - good for a quick lunch or weekend breakfast. Jim's is doing it right.

If you like a restaurant where you can order " a side of gravy on anything" then this is your type of place! Jim's is iconic on the breakfast scene in the valleys and this location stands up to the test. Big plate breakfasts that require additional tables, great combinations of what you may want or not want in your breakfast trough, and a diner-atmosphere that seems to encourage ordering pancakes and eggs late in the evening. But don't be fooled! This place is more than just eggs and cakes, they offer a great selection of burgers, hot sandwiches, and some dinner fare for the folks that just can't see eating breakfast for lunch or dinner. There are some signature dishes here and one of my favorite's is the seasoned pork. Think Greek Kabobs plus breakfast. A win-win situation. The décor at this location is slightly dated and chances are you are going to be served by a waitstaff that is doing this for the long-haul and not just a way to make some money (true professional waitstaff is a plus in my book.) They will treat you with the love you probably don't deserve and make you feel like a regular. Speaking of regulars, the owners and managers will be around to see how your meal is. And they aren't just asking because somebody directed them to. They really care. Big win on breakfast here. Especially at 7 pm at night!
