Probably would be ok for kids, it's convenient and inexpensive. Unfortunately, the crust tastes a bit like cardboard.

Worst service I have ever experienced!! They were rude when they took out order. Then, as we were leaving, they completely ruined a families Christmas party. They apparently double booked their room and said "too bad." Then sent them away with no food, or offer to make some to go.

Love this place good food and good workers the buffet is very worth ever penny u pay for it and the workers are very nice and it is always clean
(5)Kimberly S.
Showed owner my surgery card that most restuArants honor in salt lake valley and he refused to be accommodating , he said if I cannot eat a lot I should not go out to eat and stay at home ... Never had a restuArant owner be so rude my life !! I will never go to this place again !!! I guess saving 4 bucks is more important to him then bad publicity
(1)Tamara N.
I like their pizza a lot! The chicken garlic one is my family's favorite pizza - hands down! It is kind of crazy to eat there with the buffet, but taking it to go is great. Would def recommend.
(5)Dan E.
Worst experience ever!! Dirty tables, manager on duty has no idea what customer service is. Never again!

You ever had pizza at the zoo? Friday night buffet, place is a zoo crawling with kids everywhere. Been to the one in Sandy a few years back, thought it was OK. Pizza was not good, I would take Papa Murphy over this, and I don't like Papa Murphy. Salad Bar looked better than it tasted. Dessert pizzas, passed. I would not recommend this place and I won't be back.

We eat pizza weekly and love trying new pizza places. This place is a family favorite! We always get their salad and pizza buffet so we can try a variety of pizzas. They have more kinds of pizza than any place we have ever been and they are all so delicious! They also have tasty dessert pizzas and garlic bread. Make sure you request a couple of pizzas for them to put out, they are always very accommodating in that way. Sometimes we request 3 or 4 pizzas if needed!
(5)John C.
This place has really changed from when they first opened. Some of the pizzas are decent others undercooked with raw dough. I would give them 2 1/2 stars as some were very good.
(3)J J.
We go here because it is the only cheap pizza buffet in the area. We do like the garlic chicken pizza. I can't imagine actually ordering the pizza though because it isn't great.
(2)Nick H.
Very unorganized. Pizza buffet usually means more than 6 selections, and replenished as the pizzas are taken. Not the case here. No breadsticks when I got there, and none when I left.
(1)Jeff S.
I think the pizza is some of the best you will find.
(5)Terence F.
This place is a good place to go for lunch if you are a big eater. For about $8 you can get all-you-can-eat pizza and salad. The pizza is not knock-your-socks-off great, but at lunch time you can be guaranteed of a lot of variety and it will be fresh. The crust is one of those thin-crust, cracker crust kinds. They cook it on perforated pans and they perforate the dough before cooking. It makes it very light and has a nice crunch. The bonus though is that they also put out some dessert pizzas. I have had a cinnamon one and a berry one and they were surprisingly quite good. As I said, not my favorite pizza in the world, but if you are real hungry its pretty good and a good bargain.
(3)Curtis G.
The pizza was some of the best I've had at a pizza buffet -- but there wasn't a large variety, especially when it came to the dessert pizzas. The salad bar was pretty good, but we missed the pasta that these buffets usually offer. The place felt really small (compared to Doc's or Pizza Pie Cafe), and on the busy Friday night that we ate there, literally every table was in use the whole time, and several people were standing and waiting for a table to open up. The management could have done something to better manage the crowd, but at least the employees were on their toes helping get things cleared away and quickly moving people into newly-vacated tables. The prices are pretty competitive, especially if you've got young kids -- children under five are free, while ages 5 - 12 are only $4. I'll probably go back.
(3)Lisa F.
The pizza buffet is pretty good and I like that the items on the salad bar is fresh. When we go, it's always been for dinner so if they only make 1 pie thats pepperoni, you need to be johnny on the spot to scor a piece. They are pretty fast on replacements though. I've only seen one dessert pizza though - the standard - which I love. The only thing I don't like about this place? It's always packed with screaming kids. For some reason every group in there, but me and my husband, seems to be neighbors who bring in their cumulative 9 children to run and scream. It's pretty nerve racking.
(3)Tiffany L.
Glorified CiCi's but a little bit less. I left full but this is more of a place you take children to play around since you get quite a bit of food for your money. The buffet in the evening only runs you $8 per person including a drink and children eat free. Our little 2 year old patron really enjoyed herself, stuffing her face with goldfish crackers and cheesy pizza. I enjoyed the salad bar but it was just like any other salad bar you'd find at let's say sizzler or a school cafeteria. Unless I have 5 children and a high mortgage I probably would not choose to eat here again. I might come here if I was completely baked as well.
(2)Bryan C.
Good pizza at reasonable prices, too bad they charge for the kiddos now.
(4)Curt N.
Went here for the first time this week and have to say we'll be back for sure. They have a buffet that was nice. We were also happy that they asked us what kind of pizzas they could put out on the buffet for us. Also, can't beat the kids' buffet price of $0.89! Our boys loved it. As far as pizza buffet's go, this place is a great choice.
(3)Jean W.
Rock Creek is pedestrian buffet bedlam. The food featured on the buffet can be ordered separately for take-out or dine-in. Unfortunately, even the best menu items are measurably mediocre. Buffet-wise, the salad ingredients are the best thing going on here, and they're greatly inferior in quality to Sizzler or Sweet Tomatoes. Unfortunately, the pizza is totally forgettable. Their veggie version with garlic is the best one, simply because their meat is sub-par. This description extends to the wings, which are such a puny attempt at hot wings it's just sad. Food prep and service is performed by teens who couldn't care less about customer service and quality. Our first two pizza take-out orders were BOTH misplaced/forgotten about, so they gave us discount coupons for more ("Please, come back so we can make another attempt to further disappoint you."). With benefit of the doubt in mind, we tried one more time after the first debaucle, but weren't willing to spend another red cent on a third opportunity for another epic fail...particularly considering that the overall attitude from everyone here has been overwhelmingly dead-eyed and indifferent. As disappointing as the food and service are at RCP, my least favorite aspect of this place is the inevitable crowd. Unless you genuinely enjoy the activity of trying to eat while 40+ children run and scream like wildcats around you, or you're feeding a mob of kids yourself, run from this place. It's a little more tolerable at lunchtime on a weekday because the sheer numbers are fewer, but don't even think about coming here for a peaceful, conversational dinner anytime. Their slogan is "Family Friendly," but this place just irritates my friendly bone.
(2)J S.
This place is a regular for us. Good pizza. Great dessert pizza.
(4)Chris M.
The pizza at Rock Creek is always good, but it just always seems to come up just short of a great dining experience. It's a good place for families in search of a buffet, but you'll find that the family meal is actually cheaper. Cleanliness and bussing of tables is lacking. With a little organization, this could be a great outfit.
(3)Jared P.
I am not a fan of pizza buffets but this place changed my mind. The food is pretty decent though you do get the heat lamp feel from some of the items if you are there at the wrong time. The pizza was good and they had good options. I went to a pizza buffet once that had horrible options that no human would EVER put on pizza. Rock Creek knows what people like and prepare it well and they have some creative yet still appealing options as well. I will most likely be back again... bit of a drive for me but when I am in the area it will be one of the places in the pool of options every time.
(3)Greg L.
This pizza I guess is only a good deal if you eat quantity.... The lunch buffet is $8 assuming the drink is a buck fifty, and the ranch dipping sauce was a buck... you still have to stuff yourself with five-fifty of way below average pizza. The people are nice enough, but still it just seems like you could put a little more quality into a lunch buffet. Pier 49 in Murray, UT has an excellent lunch buffet with premium style pizza. I know that's not in the same 30 minute lunch break zone - but if you have the time there is atleast one alternate option for you.
(2)M. A.
Went back after a few years out of state. Not as good as I remembered. Too crowded, too loud, staff was less than helpful. I guess it's true you can never go home again!
