I come here to get salads every once in a while. I wait online for the 5 employees behind the counter to stop prepping, and help the one and only actual customer that's in the place. It's fine, they're mostly high school kids anyway. And this isn't the Ritz-Carlton, so what do I expect? To be paid attention to? I get my salad. It costs like 8 bucks. I eat it, I'm full. All is good. Manage your expectations is all. Which I'm sure you can considering you've probably been here 4 times this week already you fatty you.

Not sure if it's the location or what but blah. My pork was cold and had no flavor. I thought pork salad would be a staple that was always good--definitely wrong.

As fast-food Mexican goes, yeah it's another chain like the ubiquitous one I don't need to mention for anyone to know who I'm referring to. Sure, if someone reads this in another 10 years they'll say "but there's 38 different versions of this kind of place now, what one is this fool talking about". Feel free to ask once that time period expires if you need to! That said, this is my favorite chain now for this kind of food. It has comparable quality to the other place I've barely even hinted at. More importantly Costa Vida has features likes: 1. Better value. 2. Staff who can actually manage to take an order over the phone. 3. A little thing many places forget these days called customer service! 4. A weekly raffle for a free bus-ride to Lindon. Okay, I made up #4. But the rest is true. Try it :)

I have eaten here a few times I only go here when cafe rio is closed on Sundays, because the service is so bad and slow. The staff has no customer service skills at all, and it takes sooooo long to get my food even when I am the only person in line! Today I walked up and the person at the start of the line was missing, and the person at the end of the line was standing there doing nothing and would not help me but made me wait until the cashier felt awkward seeing me stand there that she came over and gloved up to help me. This is not the first experience I have had like this at this location, crappy customer service.

Quickly becoming my top choice for fast-food mexican. Yes, it's a chain, and yes, it's lots like that "other" Utah fast food Mexican chain that rhyme with Smafe Tio, but Costa Vida really holds its own. I love the pork nachos & love the combo of shredded cheese & warm queso they use. And they are masters of layering everything together to make almost every bite a cheesy porky morsel.

I've eaten at a lot of Costa Vida's all over the place and this was by far the worst. I called ahead for a pick up order. When I got there at the appointed time, they said they got busy and my order wasn't ready but they would get it to me right away. They told me the amount and I paid for it at that point. Then I stood around and waited and waited and waited... There were four people working the front counter and only about four customers in line. They helped all of the customers and THEN I finally see them start my order. All of the customers were gone by the time they finished my order. I would have walked out had I already not paid over $20 for the two meals. Not to mention, they ended up doing it incorrectly. What a joke.

Not impressed, just ate here. Ordered two meals, two fish tacos and two shrimp tacos, the fish just one piece about the size of my wife's little finger (I've got big hands - what can I say...) in the shrimp Tacos there were 4 micro shrimps and that's about it... It's not that I have to have a massive meal, but I felt felt short changed. $16, (without drinks) just two meals, so not especially expensive but not very good either. Tasted okay. Odd thing, they put so much tin foil on the plate it looked full but as soon as I removed it, it looked empty. Tasted okay, staff were helpful. I guess in my mind, I'm comparing it to Baja Fresh - Baja Fresh wins hands down...

Good food, better price, faster service and without the crappy attitude you get at cafe rio. I'll be back.

Good, affordable food. If you like fish or shrimp tacos they do a fantastic job and prepare only fresh food. Chicken and pork burritos are great choices too.

Have never had a bad experience here. My wife and I love it. We live in Herriman and drive here instead of the Cafe Rio by Smith's in Herriman because this place is better. Sweet pork tacos with some horchata! Yum!

Have been here in the past, but this location is poison compared to the other locations. Today I went in and ordered a sweet pork burrito which I normally get. I took it home and I got a tiny piece of what was like parchment paper or wax paper in my burrito, I took it out of my mouth and ignored it. Took another bit and there was an even bigger piece of this. Absolute poison, who could be so careless? NEVER go to this location

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
