Read the Yelp reviews and my husband and I went to Big Daddy's Deli. We had the turkey sandwich, cole slaw and grilled chicken salad. All were really good. Sandwich was very tasty and had nice turkey breast slices and good white bread (yes, it really was good white bread) and it was a nice big sandwich. The cole slaw was excellent and the salad was very good too; fresh items and many "freebies" to choose from. Great portions and the dressing came on the side. Prices were reasonable. About 20 bucks and we even got sliced meat for the dogs too. All in all, not bad for Richfield fare. We have been here in Richfield before, stopping through enroute to the midwest and we were not able to find much that wasn't the same old fast food. My husband suggested Yelp and we found Big Daddy's. They also have a pretty good selection of items on the menu too.

I have never been disappointed here. My new favorite is a Philly Cheese Steak on a ciabatta roll. My wife's favorite is the Chicken Salad sandwich. Their hot dogs and Polish Sausage is a treat as well. Regardless of what you order you will be in for a treat.

Awesome sandwiches and service at a great price! I would love to eat here again! We are from out of state and I am so glad we could find such an awesome sandwich shop! You can tell this place is heavily supported by locals. Most everyone that walked in was called by their first name. The ladies working were very sweet and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place!

Amazing Deli Sandwiches. Fantastic Smoked BBQ every Friday. Everything made to order & fresh. I eat here regularly and every time be it a Salad, veggie sandwich or pulled pork it's yummy & delicious. The Ribs always leave me wanting more as does everything I put in my mouth at Big Daddy's!!!

Everyone is right, the polled pork is awesome. I never heard of gold BBQ sauce. But it was delicious !!!

"Why fit in when you were born to stand out"- Dr Seuss This is the message that is posted on a small dry erase board next to the pick up window of this small joint in the middle of the cutest little town in Utah. And boy do they stand out... We went on a road trip journey from Los Angeles to Denver last week and stopped for some food and gas in Richfield Utah. Never heard of the place before... Didnt even know it existed. When we stopped there, it was early morning and our wonderful yelp app told us to check it out and so we did. At first looks like your average deli.. clean, family owned Im assuming... I had the BEST DAMN BREAKFAST SANDWICH I have ever had. A simple sandwich that had bacon, egg, sausage, cheese... everything typical of a breakfast sandwich, but you could tell that all the ingredients were fresh! Like fresh as in "Oh my gosh- Did they just SLICE this bacon?- Fresh. The rest of my party agreed that their meals were incredible as well. The owner (Im assuming) told us that they have fresh barbecue every Friday and Tuesday. Luckily we were driving back home on Tuesday, so once again, we stopped in Richfield Utah. The barbecue proved to be just as incredible. Cut fresh and tender as any barbecue should be. They have a selection of different sauces to try and highly reccommend you try all of them. C'mon... dont sell yourself short. Get into the Carolina Gold or the Spicy one. Thats where its at. Now Im not sure how many people in Richfield read or even need to read this review, but if youre on I-70 and need a pit stop, make sure this is on your list. You wont regret it. I know for a fact that we didnt. We will definitely be stopping here if we ever drive that way again. Great job guys!

What a gem! I was starving and desperate during the 10 hour drive from Orangeville to Los Angeles. I was really looking for a Taco Bell, but, fortunately, my phone got a hold of some precious 2G and directed me to Big Daddy's Deli. When we pulled up to the storefront, I saw a smoker outside, and immediately felt excited. The lady at the register owns the place with her husband. She was really nice and told us about the sandwiches and made some recommendations. I already knew I wanted whatever was cooking in the smoker, which ended up being tri-tip. The sandwich had some yummy grilled onions and peppers in it and a horseradish spread of some sort. The tri-tip was melt in your mouth delicious. If I ever make this drive again, I'm going to make stopping by Big Daddy's Deli a priority! And she gave me the check in offer even though I couldn't check in because there was no reception there.

Terrific! SO beats the usual choices when driving the interstate.
(5)Taylor B.
Fabulous service and food! The employees were so kind and accommodating. The breakfast burritos were HOT and amazing!! Best deli I've been to and I look forward to being in Richfield again!
(5)David H.
I found this place using Yelp, my go to for good recommendations, on our drive to Las Vegas. They have excellent barbequed meats. I was expecting a deli and got a wonderful barbeque restaurant!!! The baked beans were great (usually places baked beans are way too sweet, these were perfect). We had smoked brisket, tritip and chicken. The tritip and the brisket were the best. I will always make this a stop on our drives through Utah. Well done Big Daddy!!!!
(4)Joel S.
They have to bring back the BBQ for all the time. The tri-tip was amazing, the cornbread outstanding, with those little pieces of corn, you know how you like it. The cole slaw is great and flavorful, but the best part is the bread pudding. Coconut and chocolate and we'll, you just have to try it. Another great yelp find, thanks again Yelpers!
(5)Nathan F.
The BBQ at this place is really wonderful, the tri-tip is amazing, tender juicy and cooked just right. Great service as well. Never been here before and this will always be the place I stop at to eat when I come through Richfield. Soooo good!!
(5)Tyler A.
I loved this place before and love it even more now. The interior is updated, added a sandwich bar and Buffett on the weekends. I highly suggest visiting this fabulous restaurant and will be frequenting as much as possible myself.
(5)Laina T.
they make very very good sandwiches, im on my roadtrip to canada from texas, a must stop when in the area. Staff are very nice!
(5)Ron S.
We ate here mid-morning after reading reviews on Yelp. I would have never stopped here as it looks pretty unassuming from the street. The tables and interior are low budget, but dang - the food was great. Part of our party had breakfast and others lunch, and every one of us thought the food was excellent. Good sized portions, free refills on soda, and very friendly people working the counter. The breakfast burrito was large and very good. The Philly Cheese Steak and the Italian Sub were too big to finish (even the 6") and they were excellent. They gave us a sample of the pulled pork and if I were in the mood for BBQ I would have definitely tried it as it was smokey and tender. They also have family to-go BBQ for a really good rate - it would be a good option for a group staying at a hotel.
(5)Keri B.
Sandy always treats us like family. Their specialty is deli sandwiches, but I love their build your own salad with the cranberry vinaigrette dressing.
(5)Ashley S.
Unbelievable food!! My family stops to eat here any time we're in Richfield (usually more than once). My favorites are the veggie sandwich with coleslaw (the coleslaw is amazing! And I usually hate coleslaw) and any of the soups. My husband loves the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and often wishes we could find something like it in salt lake. My kids are in love with the owners. We've been lucky enough to get the barbecue a couple times too- it's also amazing. We love the tri tip and baked beans. Everything is so fresh and delicious. They put a lot of work into the food and it pays off! Love this place!
(5)J ..
Pretty damn good sandwich with a lot of fresh-tasting ingredients and all the toppings you want. Friendly people, and a pretty area if your traveling through. I think I took a lemon bar or some kind of desert to go, and if I recall it was very tasty.
(5)Susan K.
Great smoked pork nachos! Would have given it a 5, but the staff spraying glass cleaner all over the window, causing the air to smell like cleaner, while we were eating was a little take away from the good food. All and all good stop, better than the chains off the highway.
(4)Ellie B.
TOP NOTCH! Stopped over here for our road trip from California to Colorado. Best customer service, clean bathrooms, AC, plethora of condiments and great local bbq sauce. The Ruben was mind blowing good, literally soul food. My soul was glowing! Husband loved his breakfast burrito! This place is just such a nice surprise.
(5)Jan Z.
We were on the road, long drive, hungry! After consulting Yelp we stopped at Big Daddy's for a quick bite. I don't eat meat, so ordered the 4-cheese grilled cheese. It was OK. Not bad, not great. The hub ordered a chicken cheesesteak sandwich and chicken noodle soup. Meh. The chicken cheesesteak was more like a chicken salad, served cold, not at all what he was expecting. He said the soup was the weirdest chicken soup he'd ever eaten. On the plus side, all of the ingredients seemed to be fresh. And we were no longer hungry, It's convenient and it was open.
(3)N G.
When I am stuck coming back to this hole I will eat here, one of three places to eat in central UT.
(5)Andy B.
Pretty tasty but a bit more pricey than subway. Worth it if you love tasty subs though. Great breakfast selection to. Big daddy breakfast burrito is delicious!
(4)Darin B.
I haven't had anything at the Deli that wasn't incredible. I personally love the Turkey and Coleslaw on Rye... Bring your appetite though! Big Daddy likes to build em big. Ken and Sandy that run Big Daddy's are awesome folks. Definately worth the stop. And one more thing... gotta love the cheesecake topping for the frozen yogurt... to die for!!
(5)Nina C.
Tough , dry, chewy chicken and grizzle in the beef left us regretting this stop. Also both of us were coughing while ordering because of fumes from the grill. Reviews usually don't fail us but this time we were definitely misguided. We will not stop here again and definitely can't recommend it. Sorry Big Daddy.
(1)Jay T.
The subs here rival some of my favorite delis in my hometown, and they have capicola! There are very few places in Utah to offer this type of cold cut, and even less that fry it. The staff is also extremely friendly, which made my overall experience that much better. I'd recommend the Hot Daddy (fried capicola), easily one of the best subs I've ever had.
(5)Ellen R.
Sandwiches were okay. Smoked tri-tip was yummy for lunch. Liked it but not a 4 star or above place.
(3)Kelly N.
Was only passing through Richfield from my cross country road trip to refuel and find a place to eat. Shared a large pulled pork sandwich with my boyfriend and Bad Daddy's stew. First off, the stew blew us away and the only thoughts in our minds were "we have to get more!..." Very flavorful and hearty. The pulled pork sandwiches had a lot of smoky flavor and was very moist. Both the large sandwich and the soup was $13 and filled the both of us up! Big bang for the buck and great service. One of the workers walked around to give patrons a sample of his Bad Daddy stew. Could be Big Daddy himself! Haha... Definitely worth the trip if you're passing through Utah.
(5)Blake O.
Best breakfast burrito I have ever had, made my road trip that much better! Makes Richfield worth stopping for! Try the sauces!!!
(5)Karen V.
I'm a vegetarian that was amongst a bunch of meat eaters and I thought this place was great. It wasn't too busy so I asked if they could make one of their breakfast items even though it was after 11am. They were very accommodating which was much appreciated! The outside doesn't look like much but the food is good and fresh.
(4)Chrystal B.
Driving through, found in Yelp. Great alternative to chain Subway and the like. Spacious seating area, friendly speedy service. Our party had the Turkey Avocado, Pulled Pork, and Bacon Turkey sandwiches. All were excellent, home-made looking and tasting, ordered small, but they were full bread slices/6in subs. Definitely worth the stop!
(5)Julie L.
Stopped at Big Daddy's heading to and from Moab based on Yelp. The pulled pork sandwiches were EXCELLENT, stew and soups were also great! Defiantly worth a stop when your passing through Richfield, Utah. Service was super and the staff very friendly! You can see the meat smoking in the smoker when you drive up!
(5)G J.
Friendly place to grab some barbecue at a good price. Had the brisket sandwich and the Mac salad. Tasty. Not open on Sunday. Also serves breakfast.
(5)Rob B.
On a road trip? Stop here for a great sandwich. Loved this place--that we found on Yelp! Good enough we stopped back on the way back.
(5)Mike H.
There are very few ways to develop a disdain for chain food like spending hours on cross country road trips. Thanks to YELP we happened upon a local country deli GEM that rivals my favorite hometown sandwich shop 'Full-O-Bull' in Clovis. I enjoyed a free '6 inch' sandwich of my choice for checking in. The cheese steak sandwich was peppery, cheesy and amazing (actual size was about 9"). My father had the house specialty pulled pork sandwich and my brother a healthier turkey and avocado. Each of us were thrilled with our meal. The fresh made bread/rolls were so good, we bought extra to take home. We are all ecstatic to know of such a great eatery along our frequently traveled road trip route.
(5)Kim D.
The food was delicious. We were driving through and saw the good reviews on yelp. I'm so glad we stopped. My husband said it was the best hot dog he ever had. We will definitely stop again if we are ever passing through
(5)Michon S.
I have been through Richfield hundreds of times and did not know about this Deli until using yelp. It was a great sandwich option place and even had deals for $5 Footlongs!
(4)Ms T.
Once again my fellow Yelpers directed me to an awesome find! Big Daddy's is terrific! Fresh, delicious food and amazing people! We thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches and got detailed directions to our next stop. Thanks guys!
(5)Mike H.
1 of the best delicatessen I have ever been to across the west. everything is made to order, no prepackaged products
(5)Debra P.
We stumbled upon this place thanks to Yelp and were so happy we did. Delicious fresh sandwich. We were traveling through and grateful to find good eats!
(4)Ruth A.
So we were driving thru Utah and decided on Big Daddy's for lunch. As a vegan, I was nervous....and my husband ordered the italian and my daughter had the slaw dog 'cause it was Weiner Wednesday. I settled on the veggie without cheese sub. It was excellent! The veggies were really fresh, not out of a bag, and the avocado was sliced fresh too! Excellent bread! My family members liked their big meat sandwiches too! Great find...much better than ho-hum subway!
(4)Tito B.
they have awesome food, and now with there smoked meats brought from big rock, there other restruant eve n more awesome
(5)Amber L.
My husband and I always have to stop in for the pulled pork nachos when we're visiting. Their food is fantastic. It's our favorite place to eat.
(5)Jamie D.
Pretty good sammich. Next time I will try the BBQ.
(3)Pedro M.
A great place to stop when you are traveling through Utah. The place was clean and the sandwiches were great! I recommend the cheesesteak. Also, do not forget to try the sauces. It is a couple of miles from the freeway, but definitely worth the drive. To management: if you were to add milkshake to the menu it would be unfair. :)
(5)Aaron B.
Chicken salad sando was great. They have a toppings bar with fresh veggies so you can determine how many greens you want. Very tasty and clean restaurant!
(4)Robin O.
Stopped in for sandwiches on a road trip and we were glad we stopped here. Turkey/avo with the works was about 6" tall with fresh veggies. Pulled pork sandwich was also great. The $0.25 candy machine only gave my son 2 m&m's though...
(5)Carrie S.
Wow! This place has awesome food. I highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich. It's huge! The coleslaw is really good. Try one of the cornbread muffins - heaven! Everything takes like your country grandma was doing the cooking.
(5)Anthony D.
Delicious BBQ - had the pulled pork sandwhich and it was definitely above my expectations. This is a small town and it is nice to have such a good Deli as an option. I was not informed the potato salad was self serve - However the staff of this place have already contacted me through Yelp to let me know! Big Daddy's can count on my business if I am ever passing through again
(4)Chris W.
While I wouldn't call it a deli, this place is good, very good. And, by the crowd that was lined up to order on a Friday afternoon, the locals love it. The menu was large and had a lot of variety. Certainly, there is something that everyone in the family would enjoy here. I ordered the meatball sandwich. The friends I was with had the brisket and pulled pork. We all really enjoyed our meals. Everything is fresh and homemade, just the way a rural eatery should be. I'll be back every time I'm hungry and driving through Richfield.
(4)Heather N.
Delicious & definitely better than our usual Richfield road trip stops. Turkey & avocado on sourdough was great...get their smoked turkey for sure! "Small" was plenty of food for lunch. Kid meals are decent but the sandwiches were on the small side, next time we will order a regular small sandwich & split it between 2 kids.
(4)Amanda M.
I had a salad with smoked chicken. It was delicious, aside from a few pieces of bad leafy greens in it. I picked them out. My boyfriend had a chicken bacon ranch sandwich. He enjoyed it, though it had a ton of chicken on it.
(3)Larry R.
I had the taco lunch special and it was delicious. The meat was smokey, tender, and flavorful. Highly recommended.
(5)Kymberly B.
Little pricier than we were expecting for a deli, but was a way better choice than other options available in town. Staff was friendly and helpful. The sandwiches had lots of substance. Would stop again if driving by the town.
