Ate there years ago, just never wrote a review. Eye-catching decor from Thailand. Good Thai food.

I feel like you can get better prices at other thai food restraunts in the area.... but the food was good, the service was nice. No complaints in those areas :) And the prices weren't unreasonable- just better elsewhere. Do check their website to make sure they are open if you are making a special trip- they close for a couple weeks here and then it seems like.

Great Thai but a little on the expensive side! Get the num tok!

The best Thai food in Provo. Probably in Utah. Seriously fabulous food. My all time favorite is the House Specialty. I used to try to go once a week. And doubt that I missed going in a month.

Lots of Thai goodness here. I like it. I think it is more than other Thai places in the area, but their house curry is awesome and unlike any curries I've eaten at other places. Yummy!

Average at best Thai food, but really well priced. Only go here if you have no other options.

Thai Ruby was good, but I have rather high standards for Thai/Asian food in general. I liked my pad thai, but it was just good, not great. Service was fast and friendly, prices were reasonable, but overall Thai Ruby just wasn't that memorable. I don't really even have much to say beyond that. It was ok, but I probably won't be back as there are tastier, more unique places to spend my hard earned cash...

This place is excellent and has traditionally become the Thailand RM de facto restaurant. They have several good dishes but have become a little pricey with all the attention and close for several weeks a couple of times a year. Service has always been a little spotty, but the food is great.

i hadn't been to this restaurant since 2001 or 2002, which is awesome that they have been around this long. i went out with some girlfriends recently to eat here. i had heard from a friend who has a refined palette that she does not like this place, because they use frozen veggies in their entrees. anyyway, we got a myriad of dishes to share--the house special curry, tom yum ghai, pad thai and the garlic pepper chicken. all were pretty delicious, but sure enough there were some frozen vegetables in the soup and the curry. not all of the veggies were like this, but pretty close. this kind of bummed me out, and i could only wonder why they would do this. perhaps, it's so busy there that they have to resort to shortcuts. however, i would also think the entrees could taste loads better with fresher ingredients. frozen is not terrible--that is why they get a 3. this is not my favorite thai restaurant in town, so i don't know that i will go back here again.

For Utah county, this is a pretty decent Thai restaurant. The food was pretty good. I've been back a few times.

Went last weekend with friends. Love the spot & the cozy atmosphere. Got Massaman w/ beef - was just okay. Beef was a little tough. Everyone else in the party was very happy with their food. Close at 8:30pm on a Friday - we were last ones in restaurant by 9:20 and felt a little bad, so left.

I don't know what Jan G. is talking about. I tried several of the Thai places in Provo/Orem and this one was the best by quite a bit. Still the best pad Thai I've ever had. They only get 4 stars instead of 5 because the other dishes weren't quite as amazing but everything we had there was very good. The atmosphere's not bad either.

The food is miserably bland and over priced. I went here once for pad thai and yellow curry, and swore never to step foot in this location again. There are too many great, inexpensive Thai places in Provo-Orem to bother with this one.

Once long long ago in a far away land called Portlandia, there lived a girl named Ashley. She lived in a small but quaint apartment in the lower South East side in a small village called Sellwood. Everyday she would go to and from work and every evening she would sit in her apartment and smell the lovely aromas of the local Asian restaurant. One day an evil monster name T-unemploymentrex came to her village and made life difficult for our young heroine, in desperation to get away from the evil monster Ashley moved to Utah. She was happy to be away from the evil monster but greatly missed her Asian restaurant with it's lovely pai thai and mango sticky rice. One day when venturing out in the new land of Provolandia. She stumbled across a new haven, which had her beloved sweet mango sticky rice. It was good and sweet. Not quite the same as the sticky rice in Portlandia, but it hit the spot. She was also happy to find people of Thai Ruby Restaurant to be pleasant and quick on their feet. She was fascinated by the foreign language they spoke and was in such awe of the food she knew they must know the land where it comes from. After a pleasant meal the girl left wondering when the next time would be that she would return to this enchanted place.

Thai Ruby in Provo is one of the best Thai restaurants I have ever been too. The Pad Thai is hands down the best anywhere. The Thom Ka Gai soup is also the best I have had. The Phad Prik King with green beans and a red curry sauce is simply amazing. The Som Tham is a cold yet spicy papaya salad served with sticky rice. The curries are fresh and light. Egg rolls are awesome. The mango and sticky rice is the best dessert ever. The restaurant is clean and nice but not fancy. You pay a little more but it is worth the extra. I eat Thai food 2 or 3 times a week and in every city that I visit so I have tried them all. I always look forward to going back to Thai Ruby,

Mmm mmm mmm. My mouth waters thinking about Thai Ruby and their amazing special chicken curry with pineapple, peas and tomatoes. Wish I could remember the name. I've yet to have a bad experience here. The staff is attentive and the portions are generous. I hate mangos, but I LOVED the mango and sticky rice dessert. It's worth a stop if you're in the neighborhood.

DO NOT GO HERE. the fried rice was not cooked. the vegetables were out of a frozen packet. the chicken was bland and had no flavor. The service was awful, and there was only one other table eating there at the time. I can't believe I spent money here. I saw good reviews and trusted them. But seriously, take my word for it and do not eat here.

Best Thai in Utah! You have to try the Tom ka gui and any of their beef dishes. Give this place a chance and you won't regret it.

Below average Thai food. If you are used to good Thai food, this is NOT the place for you. The rice they use tastes like Instant white rice, definitely not Jasmine and every dish we ordered lacked flavor. I will not be returning.

This is the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Terrible food. The "fried" rice tasted like a bag of freezer chinese food rice. It was awful. My wife had a terrible plate as well. The waitress was not very attentive. The owners were present and we sent the food back thats how bad it was. They still charged us full price however. Garbage. I recommend you never eat here. But up to you.

If you've had really good thai food, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed here. The green curry was bland, the pad thai was undercooked, the fried basil stir fry was more like chinese food than thai food, and the service was only ok. The only reason why I give it 2 starts instead of 1 star is because they do have 1 dish worth ordering. It's the duck curry with lychee. Other than that, steer clear.

This place has the best yellow chicken curry in Provo. I talked to someone who lived in Thailand for 3 years and said it was very authentic. This place is pricey though. Better to go in groups or on a date to this place.

I love this place! The thai food is great and so is the location. It does run slightly more expensive than some other thai places, but it's way more convinient. You have to try their mango and sticky rice.

I'm giving it four stars. Okay, their food was honestly not FOUR-ALMOST-FIVE-STARS amazing. Like, my mouth didn't do fireworks or anything. But it was a super solid Pad Thai and they had a solid House Curry. Yummy. But they make up for it in the fact that they give you HUGE portions (HUGE! CAPITAL LETTERS!), it's cheap, and you get your food speedy fast. So fast you're like...whaa? How did you do that, cute waitress of mine?!

Seriously one of my favorite places to eat in Provo. Their house special is what got me addicted to Thai food. I love getting a side of peanut sauce and sticky rice to munch on before the meal comes. The service is great. This place needs way more service. I have tried a ton of Thai places in Utah, Las Vegas and New York City... This is still my favorite!

Best Thai in Utah county! I love their Pad Thai. And don't leave without trying the House Special curry. It's so close to BYU that parking can seem daunting but there's more parking in the back. They do make an annual pilgrimage back to Thailand so if you're going out of your way to come (it's worth it) you may want to call ahead or check their website. Oh, and they don't take American Express.

With so many options for Thai food in Utah County you tend to get what you pay for--and in this case, its definitely worth it. The food is consistently good, using fresh, quality ingredients. I have dined here more than 30 times and am impressed with the variety of dishes as well as the quality of service--especially with large groups. Each menu category has something that is delicious that you'll want to come back for, from the Tom Ka Gai soup to the Massaman Curry. Don't miss the mangos and sticky rice to finish of a great meal.

Good food. No beer, so near to BYU. I need to go again and see how it is now. My recollection was that the Pad Thai was excellent, same for the Pad Hima Parn.

Best Thai food I've ever had. Ever. Their coconut soup is the best--not too thick and sweet like some other Thai restaurants. It's the perfect blend of sweet and sour. Their green bean/beef stir fry dish makes me swoon--we order it every time. Beef waterfall salad is spicy, sour, sweet, crispy and delicious. I love it here and not so much at other restaurants. Their pad see ew is my favorite noodles dish. Any of their curries will make your tummy happy. WHY DON'T THEY HAVE SPRING ROLLS THOUGH? That menu item would give them 5 stars, but alas, you have to settle for fried egg rolls, nothing too special. I WISH THEY HAD A LUNCH MENU! That too would give them a 5 star rating but you have to pay the same high prices for lunch as you will for dinner. Total bummer. But the food is so good, I keep coming back despite their prices.

The house special red curry is one of my all-time favorite dishes, from any restaurant anywhere. The pad thai and massaman curry are 4-star good also.

The food is not nearly as good as Thai Mango, and it's more expensive, but the location is much better. I don't like any of the curries here, I find them to be watery and tasteless. The noodle dishes are pretty good, though. I'm a pad kee mao connoisseur, and their's gets 8/10.

Found it via yelp enroute north. Very interesting and unique menu. We enjoyed a specialty that was different. Other positive reviews were correct. It is always nice to experience a good meal in a place where you have never been.

I agree with the others that it's the best Thai in UT county, that the portions are ample, and that the food is very good, but not quite standalone 5-star good. I'm usually there at lunch time and it's not crowded.

They only have one or two waiters, but this is my favorite Thai place in Provo/ Orem. Generous portions, good prices, and rich favors. Have to try the mango coconut milk rice. Great dessert!
