Because of the great reviews I had to give this place a try. The menu is simple and original. The owners are very friendly and do a great job making you feel at home. The Boston Burger was good. I think I need to try it again to give a honest review. The Fish and Chips (Frys) were good. The freshness of the food makes to food taste really good. The fry's were good a little overcooked and I like over cooked fry's. I'm going back for more. It's great to have a original grill that has great customer service and good food.

I just read some reviews on this place and thought to try it out. It surpassed my expectations. The food is extrely fresh and full of real flavor. I'll warn you that if you are looking for the flavors you get from the preservatives and processed food of most fast food burger joints then you probably won't appreciate this place. The meet is brought in every other day from a local farmer. The jalapeño burger I got had the spices mixed into the real beef patty. The owners were the only two people running the place. The wife worked the register and welcomed us and the husband ran the grill in the back. They will welcome you and will notice if you look new to the dinner and will present you with an explanation of where their food comes from and their standards of cooking. This was our experience. We will be going back and bring all of our family from out if state there next time they're in town. Two thumbs up!

I really liked the State Street Grill and will definitely come back on occasion with the wifey:) I hope not to beat a dead horse here, but I must echo the opinions of other reviewers: This place is slightly overpriced. I know price theory is a complicated topic -one many burger joint-eers probably avoid (though Milton Friedman's book on the topic is among the best). And unfortunately for them, being just slightly overpriced is costing them a lot of dough. The basic, high-quality, 1/3lb hamburger, in my opinion, should be $3.99 or less. Add fries and a drink for $1.99. State Street charges $4.59 and $2.99 respectively. Add cheese for $.50 and tax, and your lunch is getting close to $10. Ouch. Bring the price of all this down to $7 (this is not a full-service restaurant) and I'm stopping in multiple times per month. If it gets to the point where you can't meet demand, then start to think about expanding or raising prices. Okay, sorry about laboring the price thing. The burgers at this place are great. The ingredients are fresh and the buns are absolutely perfect. The lady that took my order was kind, mingling with the guests and thanking them as they left. I can't say enough about how AMAZING the chocolate milkshake was. It was perfect, and at around 20 ounces for $3.59, perfectly priced. I'll probably stop here quite often this summer just for a milkshake. You should too! And be sure to give the burgers a try while you're there!

Awesome burgers, stellar fries, and very friendly owners. We'll definitely be back.

Fun little place. The owners are from back east and provide great service. I had the Bleu Heaven burger. Excellent meal at at good price. The fresh cut fries (cut when you order them) are great so I recommend the combo.

I went back today and had a great Boston Burger. The lady behind the counter was BEYOND FRIENDLY! She was so friendly and you could tell she really took pride in her product and was excited to share it with me. The food was just as good as last time, but the service was much more friendly which confirms that I caught her on an odd day before! Great job!

Everything is made fresh at this burger place. The owners are from the East Coast and have brought some of the style. I tried the Boston Burger and the Onion Rings. Both were very tasty. Pastrami was first class and the onion rings have great texture and are huge. Interesting fry sauce...was that tarter sauce in there...good nevertheless.

State Street Grill is pretty good. Nothing amazing or mind blowing, but good. The location is fun. It is decorated as an old gas station with antique pumps and signs. The space itself is pretty small (with a maximum occupancy of 21), so hopefully it never gets TOO busy. My husband and I ordered a hamburger with cheese and bacon, a hot dog, french fries, onion rings, and a chocolate shake. Everything came out to be about $20. This is fairly expensive in my opinion, but not completely unreasonable. The food portions were quite large, so that makes up for the price a bit. My husband's hamburger came with lettuce and tomato. The bacon was high quality and my husband said that it was all very good. My hot dog was 100% beef, a requirement of mine. It had a good flavor and was pretty big. The onion rings were very yummy. The onions don't come sliding out (I hate it when they do that), and they tasted very good. I wasn't a huge fan of the french fries, but they reminded me of Five Guys french fries. If you like Five Guys fries, you will like these fries. If you don't, then you probably won't. It's no big deal that the fries aren't that good because one regular order of onion rings is plenty to share between two people. The reason this place is getting 4 stars, instead of 3 stars is because of the chocolate shake. This isn't a Utah shake which is more or less a Blizzard (regular ice cream with junk in it). This is a creamy shake that you can drink from a straw! I LOVE this kind of shake, but they are hard to come by in Utah (unless you get one from fast food). The shake was creamy, smooth, and very chocolatey! So good. Overall the experience was fine. I will probably return if craving onion rings, but what will bring me back for sure is the chocolate shake!

We came here because of the yelp reviews and weren't disappointed. Our 6-year-old (picky eater) declared the fish the best fish he ever had. It really was delicious - the thick side of the filet was juicy and so delicious. Our kids even ate the clam strips and shrimp, two things they had never been willing to try before. The owners are from Boston and very friendly - this place is well worth a drive. (My wife says the fish and chips are as good as the ones you get on the seaside in England!)

  • Jeff B.

We saw that there were good reviews for this place and we weren't disappointed at all! The owner explained that almost everything on the menu was fresh and locally supplied. The fish is flown in fresh from the east coast 2 or 3 times a week. Our burgers were amazingly delicious and very filling. Large portions are an understatement. I wish I would have gotten the fish. It looked very tasty and was a VERY large serving. I will be sure to go back next time we are in the area. We were visiting from Seattle. Stop in and enjoy the food. You WON'T have any regrets!!!

I don't always do burgers, but when i am in the mood this place absolutely kills it. You can tell the two that run this place care about food, and also very friendly. The grilled onion and mushroom they top the burger with just hits the spot for me, the blend of flavors is just right. Fries are always hot and fresh and the fry sauce seems original. If I didn't have a history of heart disease in my family I would eat here much more often :)

Don't ask for salad. There isn't one. This place is great. The friendly owners are from Mass and know good diner fare. Burgers are large and cooked fresh. Fries are real and cut fresh. Fish and chips is legit, but come hungry. Prices are on the high side but it's good grub from good folks. Orders take time because it's a one man operation in back, but the freshness of the food makes up for any delay.

  • Jason B.

My fisrt time here and I got the double cheeseburger and fries. Fries were great. Wish they didn't nickel & dime you for fry sauce. The double cheeseburger was massive and I wished that I would have got the single. Fun atmosphere. I love the 50s Americana style. The bun and hamburger was fresh and cooked just right. I'll come back.

DELICIOUS! We got the olde MacDonald burger and the my bleu heaven burgers and WOW! The quality of the food is unparalleled in this area. I'm somewhat of a french fry connoisseur and there's were fantastic! the owners are super friendly, and if its not too busy they'll come and chat with you, which made it an even more memorable experience. They fly their fish in from Boston, the beef is from Lindon, the buns are fresh made and it is definitely worth the visit. This is sure to be a new favorite and go to for us!

This place is a real gem with super fresh ingredients and home style flare. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The owner was super friendly and personable as well.

I ordered the fish & chips + medium soda. This came to roughly $20 after tax. It's said that the fish is flown in fresh, and i believe it (sort of). Almost all commercial ocean fish is frozen right on the boat these days - yes, even and particularly sushi grade fish. But it certainly isn't a bunch of pre-battered fillets from the freezer case at the restaurant supply. tartar sauce and fry sauce both appear to be scratch made and were quite good. Fish and chips were both excessively oily and the chips were quite dark. This indicates that the frying oil is a bit past it's prime. Not so far gone that it stinks, but my guess is that it should have been changed a couple days ago. And they lose a whole star for frialator maintenance. the issue is that as you use the oil over and over, the water that gets into it from food gradually changes some of the oil to essentially soap, so more of it enters and stays in and on the food. The oil that has become more of a soap will also cause some people to feel unwell after eating. It wasn't rancid, it was just past time for recycling. My companion had a breakfast sandwich, which looked pretty great to me. Very good bun, very good bacon. He liked it. He had the same dark brown oily fries. I'd like to try a burger here. Hopefully some day when they have fresher oil in the vats.

What a great find, I have driven past this place a hundred times. This is what a diner used to be, great food and substantial portions prepared without any fuss. We had the seafood platter (picture above) and it was huge and delicious. Apparently they fly in fresh seafood and it definitely shows. I will be back.

Good burgers and fries. Better than most places around. Seems a bit pricey though but a nice diner if you want a break from all the chains. :)

This place is hit and miss. I have been when the food was amazing and other times when it wasn't.

    (3)
  • Jack S.

It was over-priced for average food. I spent eight bucks for a normal hot dog, drink and fries. Definitely not blown away at that price.

  • Dustin T.

Love this place. The Boston burger is amazing. I'm not even a pastrami fan, but it's hard to choose something other than the Boston every time I go. Ever since moving here, I've been looking for places to eat other than chains and this has become one of my frequented places. Keep it up! I just went back and can't believe how good their fish and chips are. Far and away the best Fish and Chips I've ever had, and the fish filet is HUGE. I've been to the coast and back, and nothing tastes as good as what you get here in Utah at State Street Grill!

Like many others, I've driven by this a lot and meant to stop in many, many more times before the stars aligned and I actually did and like many of my other reviews, this one gets the bump because they try really hard. Do they always succeed? No, but their service is top-notch, second to none and when it comes to intangibles and systems that don't allow half-stars, this is the difference. As you may have gathered, I'm thinking this was more a 3.5 before the bump, but make no mistake. I look for places like this when I'm on the road, these little diners that do a good, sometimes great job. This place, for instance, apparently makes everything fresh and there was not a damn thing I saw that came out of that kitchen that didn't look delicious...excepting the hot dog I ordered. It also it littered with all these awesome old style Americana signs that I always enjoy seeing around. Couple tvs in there also, if you want that. It is, however, very small inside, as in 21 people capacity and everything is cooked to order, so it's not fast. As to that dog I mentioned, it was a Kayem hot dog, with a script on the menu that it was the best-tasting hot dog in America or somesuch. If I ever had one prior, I didn't remember then and the name didn't ring any bells with me. Throwing that gauntlet down, though, I had to see what was up and got one. While it had decent snap, I can think of at least two other places in the immediate vicinity serving better-tasting dogs and if we open it up to grocery stores, literally every one of them selling either Hebrew Nationals or Nathan's have those things smoked. The dog could also have used a lot more time on the grill, but the bun it was served in was borderline heaven. In fact, this place may have the best buns of anywhere I've eaten this year and there are a few burger places up north that are kind of heady competition, so they did well in that regard. The fries were cut from fresh and appeared twice fried. I'm good with that, since I like a crispy fry. I liked less the circular chunks of potato that came with, but I'm trying to cut down a bit lately anyway (says the guy who gets a burger and a dog), so no big there. As to that burger...it was obviously a restaurant creation and involved jalapenos and cayenne pepper worked into the burger. I suppose someone might find this hot. I found the meat a bit overworked and the pockets of cayenne powder were just kind of odd. I think if they want to do this, they should really do it in the actual grind, rather than trying to mash it in by hand. As Rod noted in the review for the other location, it was cooked to absolute perfection, unquestionably. Oddly enough, though, it was also a bit dry, so I think a dash of barbeque sauce might be in order there. As to the price, they are clearly basing on value rather than strictly cost. The fish dinner was expensive, but when they brought it out do another table, it was easily half a fish and it looked delicious. I second-guessed myself on that for a while and may have to return for that fish. Coke Zero is also on tap and there were a few other concoctions that looked equally intriguing, so chances are good I will return.

I stopped in on a whim looking for a place to grab dinner with date. I was impressed that all the food is made with fresh locally sourced ingredients from family farms and businesses with the exception of the seafood. The fish is flown in fresh on ice from from the east coast every day. The classic dinner feel was fun. I got a burger to fit the feel called "Olde McDonald Burger". It had two eggs, amazing thick honey bacon, cheese, and a hand made patty on a deliciously fluffy bun. I can't wait to come back and try some of the other great menu items.

This place treats you like family. It is family owned and operated so that could explain the genuine approach they take toward their customers. I arrived for the first time and they greeted me warmly, wondered if I needed any recommendations from the menu, and engaged in more than the normal chit chat. When I ordered the fish and chips they indicated that they ship the fish in fresh daily from the East Coast. I thought, " here is a business that values quality." That is how I would describe my visit, a quality visit. The food, service and overall care given to each customer was of the utmost quality. If I had anything negative to say it might be that the prices are a bit steep for fast food fare but given the thought and care that goes into the experience here, that won't stop me from coming back.

Been going here for years and it never fails me when I want a great burger or fish and chips. Their hot dogs a great too. Greg and Pat, the owners/operates are friendly and welcoming. The burgers are made fresh to order from freshly ground beef and the fries are cut up on the spot for your order. The cod for the fish and chips flown in a couple a times a week....love the fish and chips. It is a real burger joint with great food and service. You have to wait a few minutes for your order as EVERYTHING is made to order ! But that is what sets this place apart from the fast food places! Give it a try!

I stopped today with my Mother and Uncle to have fish and chips. They fly in their Atlantic Cod and then hand dip and fry it. This was my first visit but I have friends recommend it. I expected one piece of fish...was told this week they were smaller than usual so I almost ordered extra. I did add a large order of onion rings to compensate. When our order arrived they were huge pieces of succulent cod equal in size to that at Red Lobster, but fries, sauces and onion rings were better. I kept thinking to myself "would they batter large shrimp?" My mother loves shrimp and we have not been successful finding some worth a return trip in UT county since Dragon House closed. One piece of cod was enough to more than satisfy the heartiest appetite. We loved the homemade fry sauce and crisp fresh cut fries. Will definitely go back...but will be a tough call between the amazing hamburger I watched the chef prepare and the fish. I am also looking to try the scallops and fried clams. Hope you all drop by and give them a try...I am confident you will not be disappointed! The 4 stars is because the onion rings were breaded not battered and to give me time to try out the menue items left.

I like a place doing things a little different than everybody else -- this is one of those places. On my first trip the owner said the hot dogs were the best in the world. I tried one and that bun is awesome and it was a great hot dog. After seeing the reviews here about the Boston Burger, I decided to try it today. The guy in line before me said he has had it 10 or 20 times. The meat is locally butchered and brought in fresh. If a ground steak and a hamburger had a baby, that is what the hamburger patty is like. Tasty! Yes, the prices are a bit higher than other places, but they are doing things differently. The food is fresher, many locally sourced products, etc. In the end, it is better food!

Took a chance on this little burger joint and so glad we did! We were greeted by the nice lady behind the counter who gave us the lowdown on their business. Local bought produce, smallest freezer in town, fish straight from New England, never frozen and fries are cut to order. Now that's my kind of burger joint. My husband enjoyed the American Burger with grilled onions and I had the fresh Fish Sandwich. I'm giving this place a 4 because they did have boxes of supplies out during business hours and the floors could have used a good cleaning but that might just be a temporary issue since they were under construction. I will go back with cash in hand. They do take credit cards but in support of small businesses it's always best to pay in cash. :)

Absolutely the best fish n chips ever. Took my English mum here for her birthday she thought they were better than in england. We will be back again and again. Owners were great and very friendly their service wonderful.

Everything about this place is just so unique! It's small and packs a punch. Their hamburgers are just delicious. You can taste the freshness in the meat and buns. They don't have too many options but it's perfect to keep the place going. Great for kids and family. The place itself felt like an at home diner from the heart. It was clean and the service were very very friendly. They explain everything so you know that there's no junk going into your body. This little joint is the perfect definition of fresh. I will definitely be coming back but to try on their hotdogs! Wish this place best of luck sense they are new but I'll make sure to get the word out to these guys :)

Stopped here with my son on a whim and am SO glad we did! The place is small but mighty. We were pleased with the service and the food is AMAZING! The fries are cut as they are ordered (my son was excited to see the cook take a whole potato and run it through the cutter). The hamburgers are the best we've had in ages. We liked it so much I took my husband the very next day. My only complaint....they are not close enough for me to go more often!

"I love you other burger joints, and I'mma let you finish, but state street grill's Boston burger is one of the best burgers of all time. Of all time!" I was reluctant to go to statr street grill because it is right next to fongs which is really good. Why would I get a burger when I could eat at fongs? My wife finally talked me into trying it and it was amazing! The Boston burger has grilled onions and sauteed mushrooms. It drips with delicious juices that soaks into the perfectly spongy and absorbent bun. The owners are really nice and you can tell that they really care about their food and their customers.

I have been there more then 20 times to try the fish and chips or fish sandwich. Always out I have ate the burgers but would like to try the fish. You have no phone so i can't call to see if you have fish

Good, but not great. Ordered the Boston Burger (mushroom/pastrami) and the Texas Burger (jalepeno/bacon) to-go for me and my husband. Both were good, but the Texas Burger was a bit too spicy. The fries were lacking and "soft" (not crispy). Overall, the food was 3/5. Better than fast food, but I had higher expectations for how expensive the food was. I also rate 3/5 stars because of service. The guy who helped me was the only worker in the place. He couldn't figure out the cash register nor figure out change for a $5. I also was the only customer in the place. (4:45pm on a Monday). He kept yelling in the back for another worker, to which he said, "sorry, she's on a long distance call with family, she'll be out in a minute to help". I never saw who "she" was. For how expensive the food was, I don't think I will be returning because the price does not reflect the quality of the food.

Best burger joint, and the fish, don't get me started, flown in fresh daily on ice from Massachusetts, It's The Real Deal. The owners are incredibly friendly, I eat here almost daily.

    (5)
  • Dempsey B.

This is a small mom 'n pop sort of establishment, so right away it scores bonus points. Then it gets better when you find out everything is grilled to order, tastes great, and all portions are decently sized. If you enjoy hamburgers, this place is definitely worth a visit. The only problem is a financial one: the high cost ruins its value proposition and drops it to a 4-star rating. My hamburger with cheese and mushrooms along with a shake cost me $9.78 after tax. It was good, but not quite $10 good. Still, this would be a great place for an occasional visit.

    (4)
  • Amy S.

If you want a REAL burger for a great price, go here. There is nothing stingy about this place: you get tons of delicious fries (more than I could eat but my husband was in heaven!), the burgers are the size you WANT them to be and the bacon.... I can't even start talking about it or my mouth will water. It was crazy good!

    (5)
  • Chase W.

Onion rings were great. That is what earned them the stars. I have to agree with the other review that after walking out, you must wash your clothes otherwise you will smell like a greasy diner the rest of the day. Walked in to this place and the owner (assuming) yelled at his wife three times "YOU HAVE A CUSTOMER", because you know he was really busy watching TV when i arrived. At least he got up to cook the burgers I guess. Taste wasn't anything you remember, buns were dry. Overall, there are a ton of hamburger joints nearby and I most likely will go to a different one when I want another hamburger.

  • Sam O.

I like the environment of this small grill. Most of the time its hard to find a seat its so popular. I like the burgers and the fries. Everything is made fresh and you can taste it. It is a little too pricey to eat often but good enough to want to return. The mushroom burger made me forget where I was in the moment of eating the masterpiece. If your looking for an authentic burger made from scratch this is the place to go.

  • Isla G.

After reading the reviews, I took my kids for something different. This place is way overrated. First, they tack on charges for every little thing. Your kid wants ketchup, lettuce, or tomato on their completely plain over-priced kid burger? You want something to dip your fries on? Be prepared to pay extra (but they're not going to tell you it costs extra). Second, they kept us waiting a good 20-30 minutes for our food when the restaurant was basically empty (one other family with kids). Not cool when you've got hungry kids. Third, the food just wasn't very good. My kids couldn't/wouldn't finish their food. I got the burger with the jalapeños and cayenne pepper in the patty... the bun was soggy (dripping) and they cayenne pepper was clumped in the patty. I'm talking: there were literally large clumps of powdered red pepper distributed randomly throughout the patty. Overall, we had an overpriced, bad experience and won't be back.

I had a terrible experience here. I do not recommend this place. I purchased a voucher from ksl deals while I was out and then stopped by on my way home to redeem it. I showed the owner the voucher on my phone and she would not accept it. She (the owner) said it needed to be printed, even though the ksl deals not say that. I left and called her back to ask a little more about it and she hung up on me. I will never give them my business again. I only give 1 star because I had too, their customer service earns them a 0 stars rating. Don't go there.

I went with friends, one of whom is a regular at State Street Grill. I found their burgers to be pretty tasty, but nothing extraordinary. I didn't really like the prices - $10 for a bacon cheeseburger combo.

Food was good. Burgers were real and the buns were fresh and firm. It took a little while for the food to come up, but if you want a real homemade tasting burger its worth it.

My first fast food burger in Utah county made from fresh meat cooked properly (sorry In N Out). The toasted bun was excellent. The onion rings were first class. I didn't know Milton Friedman weighed in on small town burger joint pricing. Maybe it was after he got his Nobel prize :-) Get a blog and explain it there to someone who cares. We'll just decide from what's on our plate. I'd like to see a little seasoning on the meat since it tastes pretty plain. Other than that it's very good. The facility is clever and the owners care about the product and the experience of those who eat there. That's all good.

One of my favorite burger joints. The boston burger is one of my favorites. Whatever you get, make sure it has bacon on it, their bacon is fantastic. The burger with the peppers mixed into the meat is good for a couple of bites but then it gets old fast (and I'm one that likes everything hot and spicy). The service is great. It is so refreshing to go to a burger joint and be served by the owners that care about your experience instead of a bunch of kids who don't have a clue. Nice people here!

Bright several of my employees here for lunch. Staff was very courteous and place was clean. The quality of the good was excellent for a diner. Had the cheeseburger combo which was very good. Also got a family size onion rings which were popular with my guys. Will definitely come back.

Be prepared to be surprised and then surprised again. My first thought when I looked at the menu while standing in line was "wow these better be pretty amazing, I'm feeling a little ripped off". I had to pay more for the various condiments like cheese, bacon, mushrooms, and sauteed onions. I passed on the combo and went for the onion rings. I was skeptical to say the least, making me pay for every little thing really turns me off. Then I noticed out of the corner of my eye that the bacon he was throwing down on teh grill was the good bacon, the really thick bacon with lots on meat in it that they only show on TV commercials. I was a little hopeful. Then when the food came to the table I had to take back all the previous negative thoughts. Then I caught myself thinking "wow, I can't believe the size of this thing. And look at this bacon." And the onion rings... Not necessarily revolutionary but amazing nonetheless. I'll tell you what, I'm coming back for datenight with my sexy wife. 5 stars, and I almost never give 5 stars.

  • Lucky B.

Toasted bun, wonderfully cooked bacon, everything cooked to order, and service with a smile make this burger joint worth the stop. Love their fries (fat), my kids ask to go back. The strawberry shake was tasty, the chocolate is made with Hershey's sauce (of which I'm not a fan). The owners are darned sweet and make dining there a pleasure. LOTS of parking. Sub Zero Ice Cream is next to them, although we've never been we'd try it for dessert next time.

The Texas burger, grilled to order, was tasty and had a decent kick. The onion rings were fantastic! My wife got the fish & chips, the fish was great but the chips (fries) were soggy.

This recently opened small hamburger establishment caught my eye a few months back, and I finally got up the nerve to give it a try. We went there just after the normal dinner time window, so it was not very busy at all. As I walked in the front door, I could immediately smell heavy odors of Grill overload, and insufficient ventilation. That in and of itself was about a turn off and a half, and had I been alone, I probably would have turned and walked right back out the door. My wife convinced me to stay and try it out. So, by the time I got to the counter to observe the menu, I could tell that there was no turning back, as I was confident that I now smelled like a greasy french fry, so I was sure I'd have to go home and take a shower. So being "all in" I began the process of elimination of determining what I wanted to eat. I chose the Bacon Cheesburger. It was big, and overall pretty juicy, but by the time I got close to finishing it, it was too sloppy to hold in my hand, and I either had to finish it with a fork, or not finish it at all. I chose the later. We split an order of French Fries. They were big, like Steak fries you'd find in some establishments. Not the best I have ever had, and some of them were inedible because they were not done enough. The condiments were sparse and we had to ask for fry sauce because it was not offered freely at the condiment bar. Being in Utah, I've concluded that fry sauce is a must when you serve fries, to satisfy the locals. I've not returned, but if and when I do, I'd guess the fry sauce would have to be a staple, without having to ask for it. The owner/chef was rather annoying, and I'd choose a different customer approach and interaction if I were him. Too overboard, and high on himself and his product in my opinion. So overall, this seemed to be a cool little concept burger stop. Don't know if it will work long term though. Once he gets the ventilation worked out, (hopefully he has by now) and you don't have to make a bee line for your shower after eating there, it just might keep a few people coming back for more. For me though, not for a while.

Ever since I moved to Utah I can't find a decent milkshake. They call them "extra thick" and you have to eat it with a spoon. That's not a milkshake...that's ice cream in a cup! However, State Street Grill has REAL MILKSHAKES!!! Not only that...but they're fantastic. Their hamburgers are superb as well and the owners are extremely friendly. I will definitely come here often!

Highly suggest the Boston Burger. Plenty of flavor but don't add the bleu cheese to anything (not a good taste). Friendly service.

We just returned from here & it was very nice. Quick order at the counter, limited but very adequate menu. Burgers & Sliders very good, great fries, good, friendly, helpful service. I liked that the cook brings your food to the table. It was my wife's 2nd visit, and the owner remembered her! We like and support non-corporate with service resturants with good food, this fills all the prerequisities, Definitely going back and recommend to anybody!

Very good food! A local place that seems to be very popular, and the friendly couple who run the place are good at calling each customer by first name. They claim an East Coast kind of eating expeience. Don't know about that, but the food is great! They grind their own hamburger meat fresh, daily. They use only the finest ingredients and serve it up LARGE. Their fries are hand made in the store each day, and are incredibly delicious! They have a large menu too, several specialty burgers and a fish sandwich that is unbelievable--made with an actual fillet of cod! They also have fish and chips (malt vinegar available) with actual English-style chips (hand made), SO GOOD! Items cost more than typical fast food places, but the quality is head over heels far above the others! They have 3 basic flavors of shakes, but they are made with real milk. My only criticism is that they only have a basic soda machine. I wish they offered ice tea on the menu.

Ate here multiple times. The Boston burger is my favorite, very savory. The fish and chips are good as is the Texas burger. The put the jalepenos in the meat and it adds flavor to each bite. The best part is the service. Last time we went the owner came out and did a few magic tricks with cards and then showed us how to do them. You fell like family from your first visit an the food tastes like mom and dad spent an evening making it.

You're unlikely to find a better fish and chips on the Wasatch Front. The owner is on-site all the time and very friendly, exactly what you're looking for in a local joint. The fries are similar to In-N-Out (straight to fryer, not blanch then fry) and well-done; I know some people don't care for that. I'm looking forward to trying out a burger next time.

My husband and I did not have a good experience here last night. We recently moved from Oakland and only judging this food to UT food it wasn't our favorite. I prefer going to hole in the wall finds rather than chains- but I am not sure we will be coming back. I would hope that it was just an off night. We ordered the zucchini sticks, fries, a BLT and a hamburger with mushrooms and bacon. The batter on the zucchini was tasteless with soggy zucchini, and the fries tasted like burnt cooking oil. The hamburger would not stop leaking grease and soaked entirely through the bun. Hopefully this place gets better. The owners seem really nice and friendly people, but some things were not working. Sorry.
