I wanted to like this place, because the concept of ordering from a phone at your table is really charming. The restaurant was clean and the staff was pleasant and efficient. That said, I felt the food was not very well prepared. I had the french toast combo with eggs and bacon. The french toast was decent, but the bacon and eggs were both overcooked. I may stop by again at some point and give them another chance, but honestly I've had much better diner breakfasts.

My dad took me to the One Man Band in Lehi when I was a kid and I had many fond memories of the place. I wanted to take my friend there so we stopped at this one in Pleasant Grove. We walked in and walked right back out. The place was very dirty and rundown. I've eaten at plenty of dives and I don't expect much, but this place just looked scummy.

Blech! I understand the concept and the gimmick of having a "One Man Band." One person runs the show. Cashier, busboy, cook, etc. all rolled into one. The problem: if it gets even a little bit busy, the "one man" can't do it all. And he can't really do any of it really well. The place is dirty and nasty. So much so, that I woudn't eat here again... ever.

I am saddened to report we walked out of this establishment this morning. I was disgusted by the amount of flies. Being a One man band the woman cooking, cleaning, etc. hadn't cleared the table next to us. Not sure that even affected the fly situation. We have eaten here a few times a year for the past 5 years or so and it has changed hands a few times. At this point I am not sure who is Owning or Managing. But obviously we have never seen it in such condition. We have never waited so long after ordering our food. My Husband and I are approximating at 30 min. I think more. My order was edible with over easy eggs..not over easy, can look right past that. My husband's eggs were served uncooked. His scrambled eggs looked like they had water poured over them. At this point we were done, got our money back and are never looking back. With the flies, the wait, and the inedible, unnaceptable food this morning we have no other choice.

This place is good breakfast food. You may have to wait a little, but it is cooked to order so that is expected. We come here for the biscuits and gravy with hash browns which are delicious. It is clean, particularly the bathroom.

Do not take children!! The owners are rude and told my daughter "we don't have time for this" as my 5 year old child tried to order. The owner's explanation was "having children order disrupts the flow of business". Saying they don't have time to take children's orders is something they tell customers "all the time and no one feels it is ignorant." This establishment may do well to remember the most import person at any given moment is the customer you are speaking with at that time. They have now lost a customer for life. They may want to redesign their business model of appealing to children when they do not wish to serve them.

My first time visiting one of these, since i first saw one about 20 years ago. I don't spend many of my eating hours in pleasant grove or near the other locations for that matter. To be honest yes the place is a little run down. It's been there for a long time and the furniture has seen a lot of use. Nothing seemed to be dirty but yes some of the seats need to be reupholstered and a lot of the plastics are yellowed. And like i said it WAS clean. So i can forgive a small business for showing it's age, provided that it's well kept and the food is good. And the food is good. I had the chicken fried steak breakfast. The chicken fried steak had good texture and flavor and did not taste at all of old frying oil. The hash browns were very good, admirably crisped up, top notch. I ordered eggs over medium and they arrived closer to what I'd call over easy. This was what i expected to happen because it's basically what anyone should expect. They were good. The biscuit was an above-average pre-fab food service grade biscuit. Of the "southern" style similar to what you'd get at a KFC. This, too, was within expectations. The country gravy was average. I like it with more pepper but that's hardly a hardship since it's right there on the table. I tried my companion's fries and they were good too. All in all I'd recommend this location based on my one experience, and i can see myself going there again. Service was quick and friendly.

Don't waste your time here. Drive 5 minutes up the road to the one in Lehi. The new owners here are unprofessional and inexperienced. I will give them credit, they are trying hard but it's not worth the money. The restaurant itself its very dirty and understaffed. My first time there, the girl working there (one of the new owners) made sure TWICE to remind us to pay for our food. Really? It's not free? I gave it another attempt this past week and after standing around for 5 minutes waiting for one of the 4 empty tables to get cleaned off, we decided to leave after sitting down at a sticky messy booth. The roof was leaking and there were buckets placed all over. Like I said, they're giving it a good honest effort, but if I will not be returning here. The owners are unprofessional, young, inexperienced, and the building is extremely dirty. Enjoy a nice breakfast elsewhere.
