This will be the most homemade donut you'll ever get out of your own kitchen. The cake and the consistency are so fresh and good. The chocolate covered with sprinkles and the cinnamon sugar were mind blowing. The service was very good and friendly, too. 3 donuts, 2 coffees, 2 cookies for $6.50, so not only the best donuts we've had, but the most reasonable.

I always hear about other people stumbling across fabulous eateries off the beaten path, but it's rare that I find them. I feel like Breaking Bread Bakery is one of those gems. The owner is very friendly; we had a great chat as she made our lunch. She's laid-back and wasn't at all bothered by how long it took me to decide what to order. The rye bread is delicious. It was soft and had a good, strong rye flavor. It's the best rye I've tasted in Utah. I had a breakfast burrito -- very big for only $4 -- and my sister got a chicken quesadilla for $6. The quesadilla was my favorite. It's made on homemade flour tortillas that crisp perfectly, and inside there's a mix of chicken, veg, cheese, and salsa. Do your self a favor and buy some tortillas to take home. The tortillas are made fresh every morning. They are SO good -- great flavor and beautiful texture. They even taste great cold! Instead of passing by Parowan, UT, drive into town and stop at the Breaking Bread Bakery. It's worth the tangent!
