From the moment you walk into Powder they are treating you like you are the only one at the place. Staff was friendly and made sure to answer any questions we had. We are off of the PrixFixe menu and the price was reasonable and food was delicious. My wife ordered the pork and absolutely loved it along with the fresh Utah Peaches! I had the Cod and it was amazing great taste and just as you would hope fish to be prepared. Desert was house made cheese cake and was delicious. Chef knew it was our anniversary and brought out fresh strawberries and on site grown honey comb both were amazing. Just more proof the staff goes above and beyond.

Skip it. The service is beyond slow. Don't expect to get anything good after 10 pm. It's at the Waldorf and you think the food would be high-end. They charge high-end, but totally missed the mark. One of the people got sick from the dinner later that night. From reading reviews, I guess this is common there? What is going on? Trust me, just get in the car (run!) and drive the 3 miles away from this place and you will have plenty of choices and great food to enjoy.

Loved everything from reception to dessert!!! Our server, Kirsten, was genuinely attentive and knowledgeable! She offered us activities to do for our trip as well! Talk about above and beyond! My husband was a bit ill and the bar tender made a great concussion of whiskey and honey too! The Roasted Organic Chicken and Wagyu Steak were both very flavorful. The beignet and the snicker doodle cheesecake were both great sweets to call it a night!!!

Since we were guests of the hotel, we decided to have dinner here one night rather than venture into Park City. I was expecting a meal and experience equally as nice as the hotel but was disappointed. We walked in about an hour before close and the host seemed not so thrilled to see another party coming in. We were seated on the patio toward the front on the patio. Service started out great but dropped off. It took about 20 minutes after menus were delivered for the server to return to take our order. In the meantime a table that arrived some minutes after us received their appetizers. Once ordered, our apps came out pretty quickly. I had the Utah creamed corn which tasted fresh, creamy, crunchy and excellently seasoned. Entrees took at least another 30 minutes to arrive. We were also then asked if we wanted bread to start our meal (uh, that would have been great 45 minutes ago). The bread was great but wish we had it at the start of the meal when other diners apparently did. I had the shirt ribs and some sort of polenta. Overall it was just okay. I wondered if the reason it took so long was because it was near closing time. We had the beignets for dessert. They didn't knock my socks off. To top it off, we both woke up feeling "not good" in the morning. Service was very friendly, just slow. I don't think I would return here.

Fantastic meal, wine, and service - the perfect combination. The restaurant is relatively small inside the Waldorf Astoria hotel, but the live music in the bar area was at a nice level that didn't overwhelm conversation. The wine list is exceptional, if a bit overpriced. The food is very reasonably priced and every dish we ordered was delicious and with a beautiful presentation. We really enjoyed our evening here!

First off, the service at Powder and the Waldorf Astoria is beyond excellent. They had prepared us breakfast for our group events as well as a slider sampler dinner and we also pow wowed there for drinks. The bar area looks modern with clean lines. There are four taps for draft beers carrying mostly local brews, like Uinta and Squatters. Other beers are offered poured from the bottle. The bar keep makes mean old fashioned with local High West Whiskey. National big name liquors are all available, but if you're visiting from out of state, don't be afraid to give High West a try. There is a TV in the bar area of the restaurant. They also have private dining rooms in the back if you have a special occasion or business dinner where you need to seal the deal. For breakfast they catered us with buttery croissants and fruit pastries, fresh fruits, eggs, sausage, and applewood smoked bacon. Did Powder get the pick of the best bacon? We must have been lucky because the bacon had almost zero fat. For the group happy hour dinner, we had ahi poke sliders, beef sliders, chicken, and also lamb. My favorite was the lamb slider. Tons of crispy onion rings and veggie chips on the side. Our server didn't stop walking for 2 hours, bringing us drink after drink after drink and was a pleasure to deal with. I did not have the standard menu or the prix fixe menu so I can't comment on those creative dishes. Items looked fairly priced for a fine dining establishment. If you eat on the patio you get to over look the mountains in the back along with the Waldorf's beautiful pool and courtyard. Really relaxing. If you eat inside, you can still see it all, but of course outside is more fun, weather permitting. What really made the service next level? Late at night I was making drinks in my room for everyone (party in my suite!) and ran out of pineapple juice for our pineapple and vodka drinks. One of our girls went up and asked the bartender if we could buy some pineapple juice. The bartender gave us a whole carton of pineapple juice gratis. I'm sure she knew we were a big party in the hotel for a few days, but still, that was very cool of her.

For a hotel as amazing as the Waldorf-Astoria, you'd expect an equally excellent restaurant. However, Powder will disappoint you. Cocktails are very tasty, but, the food was not fresh tasting, the menu offerings were very limited to mostly overly salted amd fried food and red meat, despite branding itself as "a healthy choice", the orders were made wrong twice (once for breakfast and once for lunch), something you wouldn't expect when the service is perfect in the hotel. Waldorf-Astoria would be smart to start all over again with the place and create am entirely new menu (maybe one to go with the fresh and healthy theme the spa projects). Stay away unless there is no other choice or you just want some yummy late night cocktails or deserts.

If you're staying at the Waldorf, Powder is a very good option for breakfast or an afternoon cocktail. As one would expect it is on the expensive side, but it is also very good. On Saturday I would recommend the buffet if for no other reason than to stuff your face with their high-end, super-delicious bacon. I think I ate $20 worth of that alone. Solid bartender as well who knows his stuff and made a great High West Old Fashioned. 180/365

Came here for a belated birthday dinner with couple girlfriends. The decor was fitting for Utah I suppose? There were several antlers displayed on wall. We sat at the bar first since we arrived a little early for our dinner reservation. The bartender was fabulous. He was nice and didn't talk too much. Then we sat over by the window for a view of the courtyard where people were enjoying the hot tub and can see the pool/poolside. When we were finally seated (past our reservation time and had to ask the hostess to be seated), the waiter was young and attentive. We started with truffle fries and butcher block, both met our savory needs. I liked the boar meat and tiny pickles. My roast chicken was moist and went well with the kale salad. My friend ordered the pork chop-medium done; however, came out more more well done. It was good nonetheless since the edges were a bit crispy. My other friend had the seafood mac and cheese. It looked more like an appetizer, but enjoyable. It was a good portion of seafood. We finished it off with a lava chocolate cake and raspberry cheese cake. The lava cake was soooooooo good, totally melted in our mouths, soft on the inside and slightly caramelized on the outside. It wwnt nicely with the raspberries, blackberries and vanilla ice cream. The raspberry cheesecake was ok.

Service was amazing Food : Pasta - was pretty good smelled and tested very nice but personally for me too greasy Chicken - potatoes and chicken was nice but some parts was looking dry , maybe chief should consider peeling off the skin right before they bring it to the table or dont perl at all ( i like skin ) Wine - perfect Desert - OMG , cheesecake - yes it was real orgasm lol Overall nice place and atmosphere

Arrived around 1 and saw that the place was relatively empty. My family were seated promptly and glanced at the menu. I got the wagyu beef burger, the burger was moist and well seasoned. The fries were tender as well! Overall, a great meal here!

I don't post Yelp reviews hardly ever, so it has to be a particularly exquisite or particularly disappointing experience for me to take the time to come here. Unfortunately, this one falls into the particularly disappointing category. The Waldorf is what I would consider one of the top three hotels in town in terms of its glamour....the other two being the St. Regis and the Montage. So I had high expectations of a meal at Powder, the Waldorf restaurant. I can describe it fully in two words: Absolutely Mediocre. For the full description, read on for the breakdown. Our amuse bouche came out, little cheesy buns, and while the flavor was fine, they were cold....and it seemed like they should have been warmed. Then came our bread. My brothers complained it was "stale." I don't think this was the case, but I think it was toasted and then served cold. Should have been warmed. Appetizer was the pork belly. Pretty much the worst pork belly I've had. It was overly fatty, even for pork belly, and....you guessed it....cold. Salad came: kale salad. It was kale with a little cheese sprinkled on it and some pine nuts. $12. Really? Oh wait, it had TWO anchovies on it as well. I forgot because my daughter ate them both, so I didn't get any. My brother's salad: Farro salad. This thing was pretty good. Definitely the best thing of the night. Not amazing, but good. Soup: Sweet potato bisque. This was fine. Presentations was nice, and it was warm! Entrees came and I'll comment on several because I tasted them all. Mine, the roasted chicken. First of all, this was just a chicken breast. Flavorless. Desperately needing salt. Or anything to flavor it. Came with broccolini and mushrooms--COLD! My brothers both had the short ribs. We had heard these were good, so I was excited to try them. Not tender, a bit chewy, not very flavorful. Just rather disappointing. I've had deliciously tender, melt in your mouth short ribs before, and these were not them. My mom had the trout. I asked her how it was. Sheepishly, she said, "It tastes like nothing." I say sheepishly because she's about to pay for a $300 dinner that has completely failed to impress in any way. That's a hard pill to swallow. I should interject here with the fact that we don't commonly go out and drop this kind of money on dinner in nice restaurants. We are Park City locals, and every year we go out in memory of my father for a really nice, splurge-y meal. To spend that kind of money on something that's absolutely mediocre....well, it hurts a little bit. Side note: corkage was $20 for the wine we brought in, which by the way was about a $7 bottle with a screw top. I understand that this is a Park City policy, and it's not the first time I've had to pay 3 times the cost of the wine to "open" it here, but again.....just adds to the feeling of being ripped off. By the time dessert came out, we were over the whole thing. We just wanted to go home. We said we were done. Our server brought out the beignets and some chocolate dipped macaroons for us anyway on the house. Nice gesture, and we noted that the beignets were actually warm, which was a nice change. I gave two stars because I appreciate the free dessert, the Farro salad and soup were pretty good, and also because the service was acceptable. Not great service (had to keep asking for different silverware and certain unused glasses weren't cleared....I'm being picky here, but just saying it wasn't 5-star service.) She was very knowledgable about the menu and was able to answer questions about what many of the unusual menu items were and describe them well. It wasn't a terrible experience; I mean, the food wasn't disgusting. It was just so totally mediocre. What makes it so disappointing is that we paid for a 5-star meal, but actually got a 2-star one. Like I said, that sucks. Go somewhere else. Everyone else did. We were one of three tables in the restaurant. And that's usually a pretty good indicator. If no one else wants to eat there, then maybe we shouldn't either. I feel a bit ripped off.

My husband and I came in on Presidents' Day without a reservation but was seated right away. The amuse-bouche was very very salty and the bread obviously just came out of the refrigerator. Service was fine, not great. My husband has a nut allergy and no one in the restaurant can tell us if the bread was made with any nuts and a pistachio macaron was given to us at the end of the meal knowingly. My braised buffalo short ribs over chard and mashed potatoes were excellent. The pork chop was over cooked. Truffle fries were good. Overall, not what is expected for the Waldorf Astoria.

Love this place. Great food and great atmosphere. Most importantly non pretentious. The Waldorf Hotel has multiple pros as well such as the spa, gym, pool and smores by the firepit outside just to name a few things.

Surprisingly bad. We ate here last year when it was the previous restaurant. Didn't offer a wine list. Wrong dishes came out 3 times. Napkins were dirty and missed an entire course on the pri fix menu.

Had breakfast here while staying at the Waldorf. We were pleasantly surprised! Yes, the food is expensive, but it was very good. Loved the fresh berries and eggs Benedict. The bacon was also excellent - very thick cut. Had drinks at the bar a few times too and the bartender was very friendly.

I get my fair share of expensed meals, and found that this meal was quite disappointing and would definitely recommend avoiding the hotel and going down to the main street to eat. First I was asked whether I wanted to sit inside or outside - I asked inside, and was led.... outside... My first mistake of the night was not correcting the hostess. Despite less than 10 people being in the restaurant, service was very poor, which is the main reason for my low review. After being served my entrée, the waitress asked whether I wanted to a re-fill for my drink (I said yes) and that she would be back shortly to see if my steak was cooked properly. After that, I didn't see her for over 45 minutes. Eventually the manager happened to notice I was looking around annoyed, and sent another waitress over. I informed her that I would still like my re-fill and that my "medium-rare" steak was completely rare. For reference, I had another medium-rare steak the night before in downtown Park City that was cooked just fine. After waiting another 15-20 minutes, I got my steak re-cooked, but no refill. After that, service again disappeared on me. I was forced to go inside and flag down a bus boy for the bill. Then my waitress, who had disappeared for over 1 hour and 15 minutes suddenly reappeared and tried to push desert on me. Given I had wanted a relatively "quick" dinner and 2 hours had passed, that wasn't happening. Other than the steak being undercooked, I can't fault the food but the service was a huge negative. At a minimum, definitely sit inside so you can at least flag down servers other than your own easier...

Fantastic breakfast. A little slow on making the chocolate chip bacon pancakes, but they were great (kids would have preferred less bacon but I loved them). The best granola I've ever had. If you're going to spend $70 on any meal in park city, come eat breakfast here. By far the best best best meal we have had in the two trips to this area.

We came to celebrate a birthday - awesome experience! The scallops were fabulous, must try the truffle fries, and the fondue was a great finish! They did a nice job on wine recommendations. We will definitely be back!! Kelly from Chicago made the night even more amazing.

Service is very friendly, but tends to be slow. Staff really could not have been nicer. Everything just took longer than it should have. Turning to the food....it was excellent. All give of us really enjoyed our meals. From a salad to a burger, it was all great. If it were not for the slow service this would be a five star review.

We had an excellent dinner there last weekend. We started with some truffle fries which were awesome. The butternut bisque was nice and the winter fruit salad was really well balanced The roasted venison was the star of the entrees with perfectly cooked meat. The nutella fondue is highly recommended for dessert. Good enough for 3-4 to share just make sure you let it cool down a bit In terms of wine, the prisoner red is great by the glass
