Went on a quiet evening so the service was on point. The food was genuine and delicious. I shared chicken nachos with my hubby, my daughter had a kids' bean and cheese burrito with rice. She loved it. My son had a beef taco and he ate it, that's saying something. Must make a point about the music, it was fun. I heard Garifuna music there and that's native for parts of Belize (where I'm from), Honduras, Guatemala. It was a nice outing.

This place has changed ownership. It's now called Mi Tierra. It's not the same. I used to drive up from Draper to eat at Lorenzo's. I will not be back. The burrito was one of the worst I've had. The pork was dry and the beans non existent. Very disappointing.

Look, let's be real: Lorenzo's doesn't serve the type of Mexican food that will change your life. Heck, it's not even very memorable. But in the vast foodie wasteland that is Park City, Utah, it's a decent option for lunch or dinner. The restaurant is located in an unassuming strip mall (be on the lookout for it or you might miss it)! It's right next to the Holiday Village Cinemas, making it a perfect place to grab a bite during the Sundance Film Festival. The menu has your standard Mexican fare. I ordered chicken fajitas, my husband had the steak fajitas, and we shared an appetizer order of queso. The queso was plain, simple, and pretty dang tasty. You can't go wrong with melty cheese in a hot skillet, and that's exactly what we were served. Nothing fancy but really yummy. I mixed in some of the homemade salsas to dress it up a bit and it was fantastic. I did feel it was a tad bit overpriced at $6.95. I didn't try the corn or flour tortillas since I gorged myself on the corn chips. These things are as great as all the other Yelpers say. Super crunchy and slightly sweet, they are the perfect pair for the salsa bar. The homemade salsa bar is a marvel. There are about 8 different options and all are super good. The pico de gallo didn't look good but it was SUPER TASTY with fresh ingredients -- I could taste super ripe tomatoes, onions and lime juice. All of the salsas tasted fresh and homemade. It's self serve so make sure you try them all. The fajitas were a bit of a letdown. The portion sizes were great, especially the veggies (they were loaded with onions, yellow peppers, green peppers and red peppers) and the chicken was all white meat chicken breast (high quality). The steak fajitas had that sort of half-chewed looking meat that a lot of Chinese restaurants use. It was pretty bad. Go for the chicken if you order fajitas. The seasoning was too bland but they were easy to dress up at the salsa bar. The side items (rice, beans, guacamole and sour cream) were an obvious afterthought and tasted as bad as they looked. The guacamole was fine but not as good as the storebought stuff I can get at the grocery store. The fajitas were fairly priced at $10.95 (still a bit overpriced but hey, this is a mountain resort town). This is obviously a very small, local family-run business. The owners have tried to give the place a cute, homey Mexican feel. They have an open kitchen so you can watch them cook. The cooks and owners are also the waitstaff and were so cheerful and pleasant. Service is a bit slow but remember, they are running everything! I will definitely return here when I am in Park City.

This is a real keeper! Great food and excellent service. Nice salsa bar with about 10 salsas. Place is spotless which is not always the case with Chinese or Mexican restaurants. Hidden in a strip center, so a little hard to find. Suck it uo and get there! Recommend without reservation.

We tried Lorenzo's for dinner over the weekend, based on the Yelp reviews. We were looking for good mexican food, that didn't cost a small fortune. I love chips and salsa and other yelpers raved about the salsa bar and chips. This is a small restaurant, located in a strip mall, but is very cozy inside. The service was fabulous! The fact that they served beer AND wine AND margaritas was a pleasant surprise! I order the steak fajita salad. The portion size was pretty good and the lettuce, peppers, and onions were great. My steak was a bit overdone however and was a little like jerky. The rest of the salad was great though! With a nice size portion of guacamole and sour cream. My husband ordered the combination plate (burrito and taco) with rice and beans. The portion size was a bit small for my husband, but the overall taste of the burrito and taco were very good. The star of the night however are the chips! I don't even know how they cook them (double fry?) but they were to die for! I loved the choices of salsa as well! Lots to choose from, depending on your "heat" preference. I can't say enough about the chips. Really, they are that good! I would have been happy just eating four bowls of chips and salsa! YUM!

Eh...so so. Good flavor...good selection...nice small salsa bar....all brought down to 2 stars by poor service and very small portions.

I don't know what happened, this place has always been so good, but not tonight. It tasted like they opened a few cans and dumped the contents on our plates cold. The young girl who was waiting tables was very sweet though. I was so sad as I was breaking my diet for good Mexican food.

The Salsa bar was excellent. They all look that they are made fresh and choices for everyone. The chips are they have are the thicker kind and go well with the salsas. Service was slow but I came in at at their opening and that could of affected their service. They have a variety authentic Mexican food to try so it has something for everyone. I picked the combination plate and though it tasted good it also tasted reheated. The prices for the items are affordable.

Our party of four visited Lorenzo's on a night in early March 2014. Our first impression was that of a humble family-owned establishment that offered Mexican comfort food classics. Unfortunately, the ambiance, service, and food amounted to possibly the worst Mexican restaurant experience I've had. Ambiance - The hand-painted bright and festive wall murals were fun and traditional, but the inviting nature of the art was negated by the thermostat set at 61, and off-putting stark florescent bulbs. Overall, it wasn't conducive to a relaxing meal. Service - We walked in to the seemingly empty restaurant and found ourselves in the back room to avoid cold drafts from the door. I looked around to let someone know we had seated ourselves. The father is the Chef, his wife is the Sous Chef, and their teenage daughter quadrupled as the hostess, server, foodrunner, and busser. Though we were one of two tables, the young waitress took as exceedingly long time to bring our waters, chips, and eventually, our entrees. I ordered the chicken burrito, but was brought one with steak. Our waitress insisted it was chicken. After opening the burrito and pulling out piece after piece of pulled dark meat, our table ruled it was beef. The next time our waitress was in the vicinity, I stopped her and she confirmed that it was beef. She was very sweet, but by that point, there was no point for rectification since everyone had finished their meals. Tortilla Chips - 1 out of 5 Not memorable. Guacamole - 1 out of 5 The guacamole arrived in a kitschy plastic molcajete surrounded by thick-cut tortilla chips. The avocado was oddly runny. It thinly coated the chopped tomatoes, onion, and jalapenos. Whereas these vegetables are usually added to supplement guac, in this version they were unfortunately the foundation of the dish. The avocado was missing its typical rich, nutty taste. Every component was uniformly underseasoned and lacking the passion and beauty of a memorable dish. Carne Burrito - 1 out of 5 The burrito was half-beef and half-refried beans; the muted flavors and the monotony prompted little excitement from my taste buds. It would have been more enjoyable with a robust display of cheese, lettuce, tomato, rice, and either the salsa roja or verde to round out the richness of the bean puree and the charred gaminess of the meat. My issue was that this dish was too one-dimensional. It was uninspired and not exciting to eat. Salsa Bar - There is a self-serve salsa bar that has ten different sauces, mostly salsas, to augment your meal. I really liked the idea behind the set-up, but was less enthused at the oily nature of some and the lack of balance in others. Overall, I would not go back and I would not recommend this restaurant.

Great food and fast service. The salsa bar was great, but since I have never seen a salsa bar before, I don't have anything to compare it to. It was less than 10 minutes from the time we ordered to the time we got our food, which was great since we were so hungry. Large portions mean we left very full and very satisfied.

If you like microwaveable burritos, this is your new favorite spot. Cheese enchiladas with powdery, not melted cheese inside. Verde sauce is tangy without being good. Slow service. Reasonable prices. Salsa bar isn't terrible. Most positive thing to say is that it wasn't crowded. Almost any Mexican restaurant is preferable.

Sad situation at Lorenzo's. Dad is the chef and mom is his helper and 15 year old daughter is only waitress. Dishes come out one at a time. Food looked decent but when we waited 10 minutes and no chips and salsa it was clearly time to leave. The daughter was running ragged trying to wait the tables. Dad clearly needs to hire some help. I have no idea why they are still in business.

Authentic Style. The combo plate is huge and tasty. For the big eaters it is only a dollar to add another item to the combo. The rice and beans are flavorful. My wife and I split a 3 combo. It is 2.50 for Horchata (not refillable but tasty.) The chips seem to be deep fried tortillas, the salsa bar is great here. My wife and I like other latin places around the valley, however the salsa in those other places is either super hot or so mild it seems bland. I think Lorenzo's is just the right amount of kick.

Excellent salsa bar. Really enjoyed the steak burritos. Wife loved her pork burrito. It wasn't busy on a Friday night...yet service was rather slow. They need to work checking on guests more often. I would definately be back.

In a strip mall. Very casual. Low prices. Plenty of food Salsa bar was very good, pico was excellent. thick corn chips. Black beans were very good. Had the combo plate with rellenos, sope, tamale It was not busy on the Monday night that we went, but they didn't have very many staff either. So the wait times were about what I would have expected. Overall I thought it was a nice place to eat. Thanks for the good experience.

One of the best carne Asada burritos I've ever had. The flavors were amazing and delicious, salsa bar is legit and let's you customize the flavor even more! The coke from the fountain tastes like true Mexican Coke. Place is kind of hidden in the strip mall next to the movie theater and rite aide. Only recommendation I would make is a new font on the menu it looks childish and difficult to read. Other than that we loved it and will definitely stop by again when in park city.

A fantastic, authentic Mexican restaurant. Great atmosphere, generally quiet. They have a small but excellent salsa bar. I have had several items on the menu. The chicken enchiladas with red sauce is fantastic, they don't over cook the meat. Their chili rellenos is very good. Great place for a quick lunch. Good service and very reasonable prices. Plus, Lorenzo is generally there and I always appreciate when the owner is in his restaurant.

I'm not going to say this whole place is amazing, because there is only one thing I eat there... and that is the Chicken Quesadilla. Which is amazing. Please go here and keep them in Business. It's in one of the Park City's well know restaurant 'Going out of Business' spots. And like many of the restaurants in this location the food is awesome.

Excellent chili rellenos! Being a New Mexican native, I hold my Mexican food to a high standard. I ordered the three item combination plate, two tacos and a relleno. Tacos were great, relleno knocked it out of the park! Great salsa bar and chips too. A true diamond in the ruff.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
