The food isn't anything special, it's not bad. I would have given a better review if they actually closed on the hours they say they will. It's very frustrating to drive there thinking they're open because it says online that they are but they're really not--especially if it happens more than once.

I like Roll Up. They're open late, have great decor, and serve good food. My wallet likes them a little less because of the high price per serving. It is a good place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. They do poetry readings, open mic nights, and have a guitar there all the time for customers to play and sing. I also think its cool how they display art from local artists and sell it for them. Experience is all about expectations IMO. If you want to have a good one here are some tips: -this place gets packed so don't be in a rush or starving. -don't expect large portions for the price.

I did not enjoy my experience here. The food was overpriced and overly average. I very rarely regret buying food, but I regretted going here. I do like the idea of crepes though, and I think it has a lot of potential, they're just trying too hard.

I've been here plenty of times in the past, but it's been a while now that I moved to SLC last year. My boyfriend and I came down last night to visit friends, and I wanted to take him somewhere he's never been before. He's a very picky eater, and said he doubted I'd find something he'd like. Come to find out, everything I ordered, he loved! We shared the turkey artichoke tomato crepeini and it was great! He liked it so much that after we finished the nutella shake and the "break up" crepe, he order another to take home with him. The food is good here. Better quality than the other creperies in Utah County. The atmosphere is also nice. Kinda more hipster-y than I like, but that's what you get catering to the BYU crowd. It's fun because they are open late. I do remember though not understanding why they were open for breakfast when I was working down the street from here as a student, but that's ok.The "Break UP' this time did have an overwhelming amount of nutella in it this time, but usually it is perfection. Usually busy at night.

I used to frequent this place for their original "True Love" and let me just preface this by saying to the owners losing niche equals losing business :( The owner and staff are very friendly with minimal to no waits. However, coming here for a couple years they most recently changed their recipe from filling the sweet crepes with plain old pudding instead of the rich Nutella that I've craved over the years. Doing so, I'm sure that it helped cut back on costs to upgrade the infrastructure (i.e. better lighting, speaker, HD TV, etc.), but the funds should not have cut into the niche of the quality of their crepes. Please go back so that we can come back!

I had my first crepe (a savory one) during the opening, and I enjoyed it. Since the first time I visited, the owners have completely overhauled the interior. It's really beautiful. The middle of the room is a tree trunk, and the branches stretch out from it toward the corners of the room. There are TV monitors with the menu on them. Service was quick, but I was the only person ordering at the time. Tonight I tried a strawberry and nutella crepe. I think the crepes themselves are great. The fillings could use some improvement. If I were the owners' personal food guru, I would suggest at least adding whipped cream or some other kind of creamy filling. The amount of nutella was overwhelming. There are a lot of creperies in Japan, and the crepes I tried there were filled with fruit, whipped cream, and chocolate or caramel sauce (among other things) and then rolled up in a cone. I think Roll Up Crepe could find a lot of success in that approach. Could it become the new frozen yogurt? Here are some pics of the cone crepes for reference: whiteonricecouple.com/re… chiclycute.files.wordpre…

Save yourself time and money and go buy all the same ingredients (yes, including crepes) at Costco...which will inevitably result in fresher food than you will eat at Roll Up. Highlight: lettuce gleaming (literally) with the promise of listeria.

I enjoy crepes and decided to check this place out! It opens at 11, and we were the first customers of the day. We ordered the friday special, $15 for two savory and one sweet crepe, which the cashier charged us $22 for. I noticed the decor was unique and charming, but the place is disgustingly filthy. Garbage in the table decorations, food splatters on the chairs, walls, and floor. The tabletop itself was clean but nothing much more. I watched the cashier/cook/only employee there make my food, most of the kitchen seems to be out front where you can see it all. I watched her warm up a cold, pre-made crepe and assemble my dessert, which she brought to the table first. It did taste very delicious! It was called The Proposal. I also watched her take out two already made crepes and put them in the panini press. Why have your kitchen visible to your clientele if you're obviously just reheating old food? The panini presses filled the entire place with smoke and char, my clothes stunk when we left. Our main dishes arrived about 5 minutes after our dessert. The vegetables were fresh and nicely plated, with the panini/crepe. I actually really liked the food! Delicious flavors and textures. I was a little turned off by the plastic plates and utensils, a panini cooked crepe is very hard to eat with/on plastic. The water from the coke machine tasted so bad I wasn't able to drink it. The food was quite good, tho a bit pricey for the atmosphere/plastic cheapness. I don't know that I would go back.

Savory crepes. That's all I needed to know to shimmy on over to this cute mini-hobbit-hole of a restaurant My galfriend and I hopped in on a Friday for lunch and there were only 2 other people seated. We were served fairly quickly and the crepes are made right in front of you. The Southwest Chicken Crepini (crepe panini) was good...but just about that. The serving was a tad small for the price ($6.80 including tax) yet still filling. I also tried the crepini with the cranberry sauce but it was slightly plain. There is a wall with handmade accessories for sale for reasonable prices. Artwork on the wall was also for sale and ambient. Definitely digging the decor! I'd consider giving this place another run but if I don't come back, I wouldn't be devastated.

The dessert Crepes are disgusting. You can't even tell it's a crepe from all the pure sugar shit they put on it. I had the "single", and all night I was having intense stomach cramps. I'm pretty sure it was from the cashier and crepe maker. She made the crepe, gave me my change, and went back to making Crepes without washing her hands. An from the look of her hands, she hadn't washed them all day. If you want to be sick, go here. I not look elsewhere.

I used to really love this place, the service was great, the food even better. Oh, how things change. I was met with cold service, it took more than 20 minutes to get my order ordered, then easily 30 more minutes to get it. I brought a service animal with me and even though I called ahead of time to check it was okay, and I was assured it was, I was asked to leave by the "waitress" I argued with her and told her I'd called and been told it'd be fine, she begrudgingly allowed it, but was consistently rude to my friends and I. I'm disgusted with roll up Cafe, it used to be so good, what a disappointment.

Awesome ambiance! They had thee best hot apple cider in the world.. unfortunately they discontinued it. Great hot coco and flavors. Love the crepes. Live music is great. Definitely a must hit spot in Orem/Provo area.

The crepes are good, if a little thicker than I'd prefer my crepes to be. The atmosphere is fun and very chill, I'm told there is live acousitic music sometimes but I've never been there to see it. If you go make sure to try the hot chocolate, it might be the best I've ever had!

The food is great, if you want to wait for it. This is my 4th time here and as always the food is amazing. I love the Crepini and Panini from here. The only complaint is the wait. There's always a line to order and after this comes the fact that it does not matter you ordered, you'll wait 10-15min to get it. Again, the food is GREAT!!! But don't come in a hurry. Wag

A cool hang out place, I would say the atmosphere is very "organic" and hip. The food is good and I love that the Crepes have a Vanilla Eggy flavor to them. The only thing keeping them from a 5 star in my mind is that I wish the portions were bigger for the money. It's not expensive at $5 but that little more would push it a little higher for me.

I love this place! They have this southwest crepini (I am not sure that I even know what a crepeini is) But it is wicked delicious. The owners are great, has an interesting "indie vibe" to it. I kind of hate that subculture a little bit, but the ambiance was still comfortable. But seriously. That crepini.

I ordered the three cheese with avocado. It was super cheesy! And the avocado was good. My crepe was put in a press, which seems really strange because it ruins the natural crepe flavor. Oh well. The ambiance was interesting - seems like it'd be a fun Friday night hangout for high schoolers? Server wasn't super friendly.

The crepes are good and the ambience is fun! The sweet crepes are the typical European fruit and either sweet cream or Nutella, or more Americanized ice cream dessert crepes. The savory crepes include everything from chicken and bacon to pork to even pasta. The crepes themselves are good, not great. They are slightly more dense and bready, and less egg-y than is optimal. The toppings and fillings are good! The hipster atmosphere straddles the unusual line of working for either kids in the afternoon or a date night location with a break from the usual. They have an "open mic" night every Tuesday at 8:00 PM. An extra star for uniqueness!

The first time I went in I had no idea what to order and the cashier had a lot of suggestions and tried to be helpful. I wasn't very excited when I found out that the crepinis are made in the morning and served all day and that I would be unable to adjust what was in the sandwich. She suggested looking at the breakfast menu which is on the back of the menu and I found an omelet that looked good, but was told that there was no chorizo so I just got a bacon egg and cheese crepe. Apparently they use the same bacon (honey bacon) that they use in their sandwiches for this crepe and the bacon was sweet which made the whole dish sickeningly sweet. This would have been nice to know before I ordered. The "Single" dessert crepe was pretty decent and tasted like a cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting. The second time I went in I got the same cashier who recognized me and thought I would never come back again. I had already decided what I wanted to order, the cranberry pesto, but apparently they were out of that so I got the chicken alfredo. It was warm and tasted decent enough, but it wasn't particularly filling and hard to cut with the plastic utensils. I got a nutella and strawberry crepe this time. I think next time I'll just spend the money on a jar of nutella and pack of strawberries instead since the crepe did add much flavor to the dessert. The tables were sticky and I wasn't surprised when I found a fly buzzing around. The atmosphere of restaurant is decidedly hipster. This might be the place for a late night sweet tooth attack since it's within walking distance for me, but I think I'll forego trying dinner or lunch again since even a savory crepe and dessert crepe didn't fill me up. I am intrigued by the hot cocoa selections and will come back when it cools down to try those out.

The good is great. The ambiance is wonderful. The length of time you have to wait for your food is beyond ridiculous. Really could have a great thing if they fix the wait time.

Are crepes really enough to sustain a resturant? I mean, they're thin, flat little pancakes which cannot possibly be imbued with much flavor. When I took the wife in, it was purely for dessert. The helpful staff pointed us to a strawberry & nutella crepe, which was ordered. It was late, and there were a few people there. The fellow with the guitar thought it would be better to go play for State Street than stay in there with us though. We didn't wait long, and what came out was a perfectly serviceable pile of strawberries & nutella with a bit of crepe to hold it togehter. It was fine, but it left me uninspired. The crepe had no real flavor or texture to recomend it over the pancakes I make every Sunday. Summary: nice staff, nice enough place, good if you love crepes (I guess), but nothing special.

Do NOT use for catering. I was overcharged, could never contact the store, and they brought the wrong flavor of crepe to the reception. There was really no accounting on there part that I could see of how they counted how many there were using and that is how you pay. I know how many people came to the reception. And unless everyone ate 5 crepes and ate 3 ice cream cones (which I highly doubt), there is no way I used.that much. But I can't prove anything. They just pulled a number that sounded good to them. I do know now that they work on commission. I never saw them leave the reception. I turned around at the end and they were gone. I paid and learned a lesson. Very disappointed!

I took three of my kids here for lunch and we were so pleased! Between all of us we had the Artichoke/Sundried Tomato Crepini, the Chicken Alfredo Crepini, and the Turkey BLT. It was all fabulous!! The turkey was just like it had been roasted fresh by your grandmother! We would have liked a bit more sauce on our Crepini's, and I'm sure if we had asked they would have obliged. And then there was dessert! A warm crepe with vanilla ice cream, bananas and Nutella! It was hard to choose from all of their fun options. There is even a dessert called The Proposal that comes with a diamond ring! That will cost you $3000. :) My kids loved the chalkboard entrance and watching them make the crepes and we all loved the decor, music, and support of local artists. I may go back tomorrow!

There is one word to describe this restaurant: Blah. With the plethora of establishments in the Provo/Orem area that are not the typical "chain" restaurants, you would think this one would do more to stand out. I went to give it a try, thinking that a crepe restaurant could deliver a unique dining experience. I was wrong. I ordered a savory crepe (southwest chipotle chicken, 5.99). For the price, the amount of food served is hardly a main course, in fact it is of the size of an appetizer at any other respectable restaurant. The crepe itself was bland. The few pieces of chicken chewy and flavorless. The highlight of the meal being the chipotle ranch dressing that delivered a nice burst of flavor. The presentation was mediocre at best, the dish served on a small plastic plate. My wife ordered a large bowl of soup (3.99) that was hardly heated, and contained enough soup to consist of a mere half can of progresso. Hardly worth the price. My advice, skip The Roll Up and let it die in peace. Can't fault the people working there, customer service was on par.

Decent crepes (3 stars worth). Not the best, not the worst. but the ambiance and decor are fun and fresh which warrants a 4th star. I wish more places in Provo had their chill vibe. Plus, they support local artists!

The crepes were quite ordinary, both the savory and the sweet. Nothing to rave about here. The music was far too loud! The dining room is not much larger than the average American living room, but the band thought it needed an amplifier turned up about as loud as it could go. For what?

Only one person working results in a long wait to order, the food came quickly after the wait to order. We got thechicken bake crepe and the turkey cranberry pesto crepe. The chicken bake was just bad, the cream sauce was served cold on a hot crepe! Filling was not to flavorful. On the other hand the turkey cranberry pesto crepe was really good, very original. Prices for quantity and quality of savory crepes are steep. My suggestions are to stick to the dessert crepes. We left hungry with feeling that this place could do better. Still give'm a try, promote crepes in the US, I'm sure the key to a successful crepe shop is out there.

The crepes here are okay, very simple, nothing to be crazy about but I did not like the service at all. I tried this place out last Saturday because it was open till 1 in the morning. It was my first time there, the place was nice and small inside. We ordered 2 crepes, one sweet and one with turkey and bacon. As I was eating the Summer Fling crepe, I found a blonde hair in the middle of it (I am Asian) so I took it back to the front and told the guy. I was polite and said it quietly and I asked if its possible to get a new one and his response "Yea I guess you can." You GUESS I can get a new one? He didn't even apologized and just gave us a new one. I would probably go back again just because it's open late and sometimes I crave sweet stuff after I get off work late but they didn't leave me a very good first time impression
First let me start with what they got right: 1. The atmosphere was good and the live music option is always fun. The motif is obviously birds and more specifically owls. I'm not sure why owls other than maybe because they are open late and apparently owls also enjoy crepes. Who knows. That leads me to the next one. 2. They are open late and there is a shortage of places around here that don't close early. Now, what they got wrong: 1. They are horribly understaffed. After we ordered it took 25 mins to get our food. The table was also dirty because no one had bussed it. 2. The quality of the food (I got the savory chicken bacon ranch crepe and my wife got the turkey pesto) left a lot to be desired. The crepe itself was rather bland and the texture was off from what a normal crepe should be. The chicken inside was over salted and the whole thing was completely drenched in sauce. 3. Either the food is over-priced or the portions are too small. I tend to go with the latter. $5.99 a crepe is not bad, but there is nothing else to it other than a modest-sized meal. My wife and I both left completely unsatisfied. Conclusion: a place by college students for college students where you can see some live music late at night... Oh and they also have crepes.

I took my teenage kids in. They thought the decor was great and that the place would definitely be great for dates. The music and atmosphere were good. We had a couple of dessert crepes and I thought they were tasty, especially the bananas foster. Several of the dessert menu items featured Nutella, so go there just for that if you are a fan. We thought the pricing was fair. Having seen other reviews about slow service I asked my daughter to time our experience - 12 minutes from in the door to done eating. Now I want to go back and try a savory crepe, or maybe the breakfast. I'll let my wife decide.

Those were some amazing and *beautiful* crepes! We got two savory crepes and one desert crepe, and the savory ones were my favorite. For what seems to be a brand-new enterprise, the place seems to be running fairly smoothly. The decor inside is adorable. I look forward to going back. And I feel SO lucky to have gotten a creperie in Orem, of all places!

Very bland crepes and uninspired recipes. Turkey on the Turkey crepe was just deli meat. Three of four we ordered came out cold. It's what you might expect some college kids to make if they were having crepe night. No love. No intelligence. We complained and were given a dessert crepe as a consolation. Again, the crepe itself is very tasteless. My kids (since they were nine or so) make crepes on their own, and their crepes are much tastier. Resist.

The crepe was delicious. They have these hilarious names on the menu ("The One-Night Stand," "The Single," "True Love"), and they are delicious. I got bananas foster, which was almost too sweet, but still great. It would be good to share. The other downside is that they are a bit expensive.

My family and I traveled from Seattle, WA to Provo, UT for the BYU homecoming game. We bumped into this place on our way to the BYU football game. The food was excellent and they had enough staff to make sure our order for 5 people was filled in 15 minutes. I'm OK with that. The taste was excellent and the price was reasonable. I loved the ambiance and the live music .. well .. we weren't there when anyone was playing so I can't say if it was any good. But we'll go back again if we're in the area.

Yummy crepes! they have both savory and sweet crepes. I got the turkey cranberry crepe which was delicious. The outside of the crepe is slightly crispy which was nice. I'm not a fan of soggy crepes. My friend and I split a sweet crepe with milk chocolate, raspberry, and whip cream. It was good because it wasn't overly filled, or too rich. You left without that heavy feeling you sometimes get after eating. The atmosphere was cute too, the center of the restaurant has this ginormous tree. Its on the more expensive side for a college town, but not too bad.

Great atmosphere, and fantastic food. Plenty of good hot beverages, so its a great place to relax and have good conversation. Friendly staff as well. I love the cinnamon roll hot chocolate :)

(4)Amanda Y.
Delicious gourmet hot cocoas and fun dessert crepes! We each ordered a different crepe and all 3 were a different design. Very fun decor! All in all a great find in Orem!
(4)Carla N.
This a great place, the sandwiches were delicious!!! Need a little more variety in the salad dressings but overall great. The decor and atmosphere is really nice. I would definitely come again next time I visit Utah
(4)James F.

I don't know where to begin. My boyfriend and I had high hopes for this place. The first red flag happened when we went to order and the only crepes they had available were their dessert crepes. It's a bit difficult to believe that a restaurant wouldn't have enough ingredients to make 75% of the things on their menu but fine, whatever. I went ahead and asked for a crepe with raspberry purée/nutella and while my boyfriend was ordering his nutella crepe, they informed me that they're out of raspberry purée. My response? "Okay, no big deal just give me plain raspberries." After paying a moderately expensive amount of cash for two crepes, each the size of a piece of pizza we both sat down and waited. As we waited, we noticed that there were literally only 3 other customers and they all had already had their crepes brought out to them. I'm pretty sure that if there was a pageant for most apathetic 20-somethings, all the employees at this place would be in the winners circle. If it wasn't a cook dicking around with his friends, it was one of the servers playing with her hair or adjusting her French-themed uniform. Food seemed to be the last priority anyone had on their mind. The longer this ordeal goes on, the lower our stomachs sink. Finally they brought out our crepes and I immediately noticed that my crepe was covered in strawberries and my boyfriends crepe only had nutella and whip cream on it. My boyfriend said to hell with it and went ahead and started eating while I waited for my order to be fixed. Twenty minutes later I finally receive the crepe I ordered after having to watch my boyfriend literally saw at his burnt, crusty pile of shit. Given that we were using plastic utensils, it really comes as no shock that his fork broke while he was trying to eat. Both of our crepes were rather thick and were definitely more on the pancake side of the spectrum. Remember how I mentioned waitresses playing with their hair? A strand or two of long brown hair ended up in my crepe. I don't know if that happened because they aren't following health department guidelines or if they just wanted to spite us for expecting, at the very least, to have what we ordered and paid for delivered to our table in a timely manner. We left completely dissatisfied, disgusted, and hungry. It could have been a good restaurant, but instead its just another Provo, Utah gimmick to reel in the BYU students. Pathetic.

Severely disappointing. Over priced and very mediocre flavors. Will not be visiting again.

Bleck! This place was not good at all.

We've been coming here for months and love the crepes. Good flavors and fun atmosphere. Independently owned, too, which gives it a nice touch. The savory crepes never disappoint.
(5)Duane A.
Resist.
(2)Greg I.

(5)Emily B.
