There's certainly a lot of sugary faux Chinese here. With a little work, there are some reasonable items, but I've had more meh than things I love. The atmosphere is pretty nice. The experience is upscale. We have no other Chinese in the Valley that can say that. However, if food matters, I'd rather go to an inexpensive heavily Americanized Chinese or something that actually has more authentic food. I see no reason to pay for little more than atmosphere. I am obviously in a minority in my opinion. However, those who read my reviews aren't going to be surprised. The last trip was interesting. I asked for a Manhattan. Who could see that coming? They apparently had no clue. They muddled the cherry, mixed the drink to almost cold and served it in a rocks glass with no ice. Really? It ended up slightly red and now sweet with floaty stuff in it. Stick with the sweet pre-defined cocktails, or just get Woodford with a little ice.

The restaurant is a lot smaller than it looks from the outside. We didn't have a wait, but we also went at 5:45pm on a Wednesday. The server (when she finally came) was very chipper. Almost too chipper. Kinda took away from the quiet, kid-less romantic evening we were going for. The food was brought out in a good amount of time and the portions were good for sharing between the two of us. For our appetizers we got the Kaleidoscope Roll and Saigon Summer Rolls. Both of those came out as pictured. I preferred the sushi while my hubby preferred the rolls (mainly because of the dipping sauce they came with). For our entrees we got the Mongolian Beef and Honey Walnut Shrimp with Melon and highly recommend both.

Wanted sushi and the only place that I wanted was closed for remodeling. Another placed we stopped at ended up being all you can eat, place didn't look appealing and we walked out. So me and the husbands said "screw it" stopped he search and went to the first place with asian food. They actually had rolls their but it wasn't worth the $13! calamari we ordered was way too chewy and not its normal crispy goodness. We also shared salt and pepper shrimp, those were actually pretty delicious and the kung pao tasted okay, but I'm just not a kp fan anyways. Over all it was okay but not worth the money. I have three stars because our waitress was pretty good and we got seated rather fast for a busy Friday night.

The Candied Walnut Shrimp used to be my favorite dish in any restaurant in all of Utah County. Sadly, the last 3 times in a row they have served it cold (like refrigerated water cold). They have now renamed it I even made a point about it the last two times. I guess I could buy it and take it home and heat it, but doesn't that defeat the point in going out? The quality of preparation has slowly fallen off over the last 2 years. I doubt I'll ever come back. It gets 1 star because I couldn't post this otherwise. At least the staff was friendly.

Perhaps it is, but to outright dismiss this national chain in that manner is to do yourself a disservice as the food PF Chang's serves is consistently delicious. This review is for dinner eaten in the Provo, UT location on Oct. 24, 2014, although I have to say that it applies to any meal I've had in any of their locations. At this particular meal I had great company--three of my co-workers. People I have had the pleasure of working with for between 7 and 10 years. They are not just co-workers, but friends and people I enjoy breaking bread with. The restaurant, like all PF Chang's, is clean and open. The location, perhaps due to the local demographic, has an abundance of oversized tables. The menu is broad and interesting and despite being in Utah, has the full complement of alcoholic choices, which is where we started. I went with the Twisted Whiskey Sour and enjoyed it thoroughly. Others at my table ordered Moscow Mules and Stellas. Toasts! Around the table we went, each sharing something they are thankful for and something they are looking forward to in the coming year. These are the moments that you try to file away for future reference, maybe even decades down the road. Our waiter Gomez (seriously) was attentive and personable throughout. Because we were enjoying a leisurely evening we were in no hurry to order, but at his suggestion we did order some appetizers, Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Crispy Green Beans and Orange Ginger Edamame. While the Chicken Lettuce Wraps and Crispy Green Beans were perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious, it was the Edamame that I found to be extraordinary. Warm, tender and perfectly seasoned, I seriously could have eaten that all night long. (I've since made a couple of attempts at replicating at home and while my efforts have been delicious they don't come close to the bar set by this dish.) I surveyed the quickly diminishing hors d'oeuvres and pondered how my happy stomach could possibly take on full entrees? I guess it'll manage. But first: Wine! We ordered a bottle of Alamos Malbec 2012 and it was very good. Let's face it; it's difficult to come up with a Malbec that isn't delicious. We debated entrees and ended up going with the Cantonese Lemon Chicken, the Mongolian Beef, the Lemongrass Chicken Salad and Sichuan Asparagus. It didn't take long for the main courses to come up and as our table started filling up with plates I briefly wondered if we hadn't overdone it a bit. But, there was no reason for such concern. The conversation and laughs soon dwindled as we all stuffed our faces with the delicious food. I particularly enjoyed the Sichuan Asparagus, wok fried with red chili paste (not too hot), garlic and onions and, the Mongolian Beef, wok-seared flank steak in soy sauce. I was especially happy when, after offering the last portion of the Mongolian Beef to my peers, and getting nos all around, I was able to kill the plate myself. Nom nom nom. The Cantonese Lemon Chicken was also very good. The Lemongrass Chicken was the one dish I likely would not order again. Maybe it was just because I'm not a huge fan of cold chicken salads. Desert? Heck yes. Fried Bananas in batter. Oh baby. The perfect ending to a fantastic dinner. Throughout the meal Gomez was attentive and personable. Our waters were refilled regularly and empty plates cleared promptly. By the end of the evening we were all in alcohol fueled food comas--and happy as can be. Kudos to PF Chang's. What they do, they do exceptionally well and I look forward to eating there again soon.

Love this place. I travel a lot for my job and over the years I have eaten at approximately 52 of their restaurants! Same menu and exactly the same experience. Great food. No reservations taken. So on weekends, arrive real early. Or, be prepared to wait up to 90 minutes or longer to get a table. Their lettuce wraps are one of their signature dishes. I love their orange peal shrimp. Mmmh good! I honestly can say all their dishes are wonderful and worth trying. If you like spicy foods, they have it. Look for the little "peppers" on the menu or ask your server. Enjoy.

Just a waste of time and money. There is a Panda Express across the street of your interested... I'd eat there before eating here.

Other P.F. Chang's are usually pretty good so it surprised me when I went to this location and everything was so bad about it. I went with a group of 5 (not too large of a group) and our waiter kept telling us that our food was taking so long because our group was so large. At the same time other groups around us of the same size that came in the same time or later were getting their food. My raspberry lemonade was disgusting. All it was regular fountain lemonade with a raspberry syrup! It wasn't even mixed and our waiter told us just to stir it with our fork or chopstick. By the time our food got out it was freezing cold and not very good tasting. All of it is way overpriced for what you get. At the end if the meal all of us agreed that Pei Wei is definitely a better option for price and taste!

This restaurant is clean and smartly decorated. The food is amazingly good! However, if you have allergies be aware that they are not able to separate out ingredients for you (meaning most isn't made on the spot) so you might be stuck with only one or two viable options. I wouldn't go here for an upscale event, but it is much better than casual dining. The service was helpful and very nice.

In the past I have loved the food and service at this PF Chang's. I had several gift cards and decided after a very hectic pre-holiday season to treat my family to PF Chang's late Christmas Eve. We ordered 7 different items and 2 orders of lettuce wraps. I picked up the food excited to hang with the family at home. We gathered around the table exhausted and ready for the incoming family in the morning. We opened up the bags and what we found inside was ridiculously disappointing. Plastic containers with barely any food in them. Items that were supposed to have noodles or vegies of some type didn't have them. I am talking family style chinese with less than a half a cup of food in those big trays. We ordered brown rice and they gave us white. We ordered lettuce wraps and guess what? We go the chicken stuff but no yummy sauce and ...wait for it...NO LETTUCE! Worst meal ever! I will never go there again.

It's a pretty small location so I would call ahead or get there early because its usually a 1 hour wait around dinner. The service has always been good and I've been here at least a dozen times. Everything I've eaten there has been great. For those who say the food quality is bad they haven't eaten good fresh food or the are ticked of because its not cheap chinese food. Defiantly one of the best Chinsee food options around.

Gluten free is your friend here! They are so equipped to handle the gluten allergy which is surprising for a Chinese restaurant. I love that they have an actual separate menu with more than just one or two items to choose from. The service is always good here. I have had the best experience with servers here. They are great on adapting orders and making recommendations. The food is really good. I love that they have lots of options for meats and veggies. It is slightly pricey for how much food comes in the meat entrees but the fried rice, veggies and low mien are huge dishes and can easily be shared. You do need about 3 entrees or 2 entrees and 1 veggie to feed 2 hungry adults. I think there is plenty for kids to eat and they have a great kids menu. My kids love eating here. There is a long wait most of the time which is the only hard thing about coming here.

Ok, let the haters hate, but I love this place! Maybe I am naive to the ways of fantastic Chinese food, but I come from an area where Chinese restaurants are a dime a dozen. P.F. Chang's has changed my life. I will never again patronize one of the crummy places around my home town, its P.F. Chang's for life! My wife and I were given a gift card, and thus an excuse to swing by PF Chang's this weekend. I expected it to be packed on a Friday night at peak dinner hour in Provo, it was busy, but we were seated immediately. I think I can sum up my experience in one word; Lazy. They brought your soy/horseradish/red pepper to the table and we instantly noticed a "foreign object" on the plate. Yep, a long black hair hanging out of our red pepper sauce. It was incredibly obvious, but apparently the person putting the dish together didn't care to take one look and make sure it was right, and neither did our server. Both were simply being lazy. We ordered the lettuce wraps, which I think is some sort of law at PF Chang's. They must have microphones at the tables because no sooner had our server turned the corner then another server was on her way to the table with our lettuce wraps. It was honestly less than a minute after we placed our order. Now that is prompt service! The lettuce was fresh and crispy, and the filling has good flavor - but unfortunately the filling and the lettuce were served at the same temperature....Our dish had obviously been sitting out for a while. Another reminder of how lazy PF Chang's has become. They sell so many of this dish, my guess is they just keep making them knowing the dish they are making will get ordered eventually. We had the Mongolian Beef and Spicy chicken for mains. Both were large enough to share, and we took some home. Both dishes were good, but were also very sweet. PF Chang's replaces the spices and flavor development normally associated with authentic Chinese food with sugar. It's lazy cooking. I get that PF Chang's is a chain restaurant, catering to a local palate, so I can excuse the sweet dishes. But I believe the laziness pervasive throughout our meal, cannot be excused. I do not think it is too much to expect your food to be clean and hot. Especially at their price point. It was over $50 for the starter, two mains, and a dessert, no drinks. Bottom line: If I was given another gift card would I be back? Yes. Do I have any other reason to return and pay $50 for very slightly upgraded Panda Express? No.

And, with my wife's gluten intolerance (celiac) I don't know of a place that does a better job at taking care of you. They even use special plates for the GF servings. The food (if you want to call it that) was slop thrown together with soupy sauce. As an American of Chinese descent, I'm truly offended by their representation of my culture's food. The food was totally bland and didn't have any of the robust flavors that one can find in Cantonese or Mandarin cuisine. Their food was totally Americanized, Chinese food. Around this area, I prefer Fortune or Four Seasons Hot Pot and Dumplings on University Avenue in Provo. I was lucky enough to have been a guest when I ate food at this place so I didn't have to waste any money.

I was especially happy when, after offering the last portion of the Mongolian Beef to my peers, and getting nos all around, I was able to kill the plate myself. Nom nom nom. The Cantonese Lemon Chicken was also very good. The Lemongrass Chicken was the one dish I likely would not order again. Maybe it was just because I'm not a huge fan of cold chicken salads. Desert? Heck yes. Fried Bananas in batter. Oh baby. The perfect ending to a fantastic dinner. Throughout the meal Gomez was attentive and personable. Our waters were refilled regularly and empty plates cleared promptly. By the end of the evening we were all in alcohol fueled food comas--and happy as can be. Kudos to PF Chang's. What they do, they do exceptionally well and I look forward to eating there again soon.

Love this place. I travel a lot for my job and over the years I have eaten at approximately 52 of their restaurants! Same menu and exactly the same experience. Great food. No reservations taken. So on weekends, arrive real early. Or, be prepared to wait up to 90 minutes or longer to get a table. Their lettuce wraps are one of their signature dishes. I love their orange peal shrimp. Mmmh good! I honestly can say all their dishes are wonderful and worth trying. If you like spicy foods, they have it. Look for the little "peppers" on the menu or ask your server. Enjoy.

Over priced, over crowded, no flavor, the food is just yuck. I have been here a few times over the years and I'm disappointed every time, so this was my last trip to this China town. Just a waste of time and money. There is a Panda Express across the street of your interested... I'd eat there before eating here.

Other P.F. Chang's are usually pretty good so it surprised me when I went to this location and everything was so bad about it. I went with a group of 5 (not too large of a group) and our waiter kept telling us that our food was taking so long because our group was so large. At the same time other groups around us of the same size that came in the same time or later were getting their food. My raspberry lemonade was disgusting. All it was regular fountain lemonade with a raspberry syrup! It wasn't even mixed and our waiter told us just to stir it with our fork or chopstick. By the time our food got out it was freezing cold and not very good tasting. All of it is way overpriced for what you get. At the end if the meal all of us agreed that Pei Wei is definitely a better option for price and taste!

The food here is mediocre at best. Prices are high for the quality of food, but at least service is good. It's a fine place to go with a large group, but if you're looking for good Chinese, go somewhere else.

Wonderful gluten-free selections, they take great care so we don't get a gluten reaction. The spicy chicken is delicious and the lettuce wraps are a must-have.

Service was great, food... Not so much, I felt I got Panda Express quality food for what I was spending ($$). The Portions were small as well. Next time I'll just go to Panda Express and save money.

This restaurant is clean and smartly decorated. The food is amazingly good! However, if you have allergies be aware that they are not able to separate out ingredients for you (meaning most isn't made on the spot) so you might be stuck with only one or two viable options. I wouldn't go here for an upscale event, but it is much better than casual dining. The service was helpful and very nice.

In the past I have loved the food and service at this PF Chang's. I had several gift cards and decided after a very hectic pre-holiday season to treat my family to PF Chang's late Christmas Eve. We ordered 7 different items and 2 orders of lettuce wraps. I picked up the food excited to hang with the family at home. We gathered around the table exhausted and ready for the incoming family in the morning. We opened up the bags and what we found inside was ridiculously disappointing. Plastic containers with barely any food in them. Items that were supposed to have noodles or vegies of some type didn't have them. I am talking family style chinese with less than a half a cup of food in those big trays. We ordered brown rice and they gave us white. We ordered lettuce wraps and guess what? We go the chicken stuff but no yummy sauce and ...wait for it...NO LETTUCE! Worst meal ever! I will never go there again.

Some of the best Chinese food around. Love the fried dumplings, crispy green beans and changs spicy chicken! The location is a little small but most nights the wait isn't too bad. Like most places your mileage may vary on what you order but for me I've enjoyed almost all my entrees

It's a pretty small location so I would call ahead or get there early because its usually a 1 hour wait around dinner. The service has always been good and I've been here at least a dozen times. Everything I've eaten there has been great. For those who say the food quality is bad they haven't eaten good fresh food or the are ticked of because its not cheap chinese food. Defiantly one of the best Chinsee food options around.

Gluten free is your friend here! They are so equipped to handle the gluten allergy which is surprising for a Chinese restaurant. I love that they have an actual separate menu with more than just one or two items to choose from. The service is always good here. I have had the best experience with servers here. They are great on adapting orders and making recommendations. The food is really good. I love that they have lots of options for meats and veggies. It is slightly pricey for how much food comes in the meat entrees but the fried rice, veggies and low mien are huge dishes and can easily be shared. You do need about 3 entrees or 2 entrees and 1 veggie to feed 2 hungry adults. I think there is plenty for kids to eat and they have a great kids menu. My kids love eating here. There is a long wait most of the time which is the only hard thing about coming here.

Ok, let the haters hate, but I love this place! Maybe I am naive to the ways of fantastic Chinese food, but I come from an area where Chinese restaurants are a dime a dozen. P.F. Chang's has changed my life. I will never again patronize one of the crummy places around my home town, its P.F. Chang's for life! We shared the kung pow scallops and shrimp which were both beyond description in the yummy department.our waitress was Kimmy and she was very attentive and helpful when we asked for recommendations. Can't wait to go back!

My wife and I were given a gift card, and thus an excuse to swing by PF Chang's this weekend. I expected it to be packed on a Friday night at peak dinner hour in Provo, it was busy, but we were seated immediately. I think I can sum up my experience in one word; Lazy. They brought your soy/horseradish/red pepper to the table and we instantly noticed a "foreign object" on the plate. Yep, a long black hair hanging out of our red pepper sauce. It was incredibly obvious, but apparently the person putting the dish together didn't care to take one look and make sure it was right, and neither did our server. Both were simply being lazy. We ordered the lettuce wraps, which I think is some sort of law at PF Chang's. They must have microphones at the tables because no sooner had our server turned the corner then another server was on her way to the table with our lettuce wraps. It was honestly less than a minute after we placed our order. Now that is prompt service! The lettuce was fresh and crispy, and the filling has good flavor - but unfortunately the filling and the lettuce were served at the same temperature....Our dish had obviously been sitting out for a while. Another reminder of how lazy PF Chang's has become. They sell so many of this dish, my guess is they just keep making them knowing the dish they are making will get ordered eventually. We had the Mongolian Beef and Spicy chicken for mains. Both were large enough to share, and we took some home. Both dishes were good, but were also very sweet. PF Chang's replaces the spices and flavor development normally associated with authentic Chinese food with sugar. It's lazy cooking. I get that PF Chang's is a chain restaurant, catering to a local palate, so I can excuse the sweet dishes. But I believe the laziness pervasive throughout our meal, cannot be excused. I do not think it is too much to expect your food to be clean and hot. Especially at their price point. It was over $50 for the starter, two mains, and a dessert, no drinks. Bottom line: If I was given another gift card would I be back? Yes. Do I have any other reason to return and pay $50 for very slightly upgraded Panda Express? No.

Just a quick note. We love this restaurant. The good is good, service staff is great. And, with my wife's gluten intolerance (celiac) I don't know of a place that does a better job at taking care of you. They even use special plates for the GF servings. Very accommodating, excellent food...worth every penny.

Sub par food. Portions not at all generous even though our server told us the honey shrimp dish was big enough to share. Are you kidding me? It was minuscule. Honey Spicy Shrimp is the only dish worth getting, but don't expect to get full on it.

Always love coming here. Always get the lettuce wraps and make my sauce super-hot (perfect). I can't remember a dish that we've order that we have not liked. The great wall of chocolate is, by far, the best item there...especially if you get extra raspberry sauce!! Can't wait to go back!

A little pricey. Lunch prices are decent. We waited for about an hour for our 5 lunch meals to be served. I'm pretty sure that isn't the norm. Everything else about the experience was great.

The lettuce wraps are a must have. Other than that this place is like a very loud (you can't hear yourself think) version of Panda Express. Everything is sappy sweet. It is very busy most of the time.

The food (if you want to call it that) was slop thrown together with soupy sauce. As an American of Chinese descent, I'm truly offended by their representation of my culture's food. The food was totally bland and didn't have any of the robust flavors that one can find in Cantonese or Mandarin cuisine. Their food was totally Americanized, Chinese food. Around this area, I prefer Fortune or Four Seasons Hot Pot and Dumplings on University Avenue in Provo. I was lucky enough to have been a guest when I ate food at this place so I didn't have to waste any money.
