The food was terribly bland. (We even got what the server recommended) The service was fair at best. The best thing about this restaurant is the decor. When I go out for dinner, I expect the food to be better than what I can microwave at home.

This is a nice choice for big eaters. The best two things about Mimi's are (1) the menu selections (vast & varied) and (2) the serving size (huge & hefty). I promise you this, you will not walk away hungry or wishing there were more options on the menu. While it's debatable how authentically "French" their dishes are, they are alway tasty and filling. The chicken cordon bleu is extremely good. You get a mammoth serving of two chicken breasts with tasty ham, swiss cheese, and Dijon. It's paired nicely with mashed potatoes and fresh veggies. The honey glazed Dijon pork chops are also fantastic, and very filling. The chicken fried steak here is also extremely good (and very large). For lunch, I'm a big fan of their jambalaya. It is a tasty combination of shrimp, sausage, chicken and pork with penne pasta instead of the traditional rice. There are so many delicious items, like the pistachio encrusted salmon, that I can't begin to list them all. Every meal comes with a fun selection of breads and rolls--the raison/carrot bread is very special. The dessert menu is also awesome--the hot apple crisp, bread pudding, and molten chocolate cakes are all strong options. Sadly, however, I'm usually too full for dessert. I suspect you will be too

They have had better food in the past. They serve comfort food. It's usually good but the quality has gone done recently. Breakfast is probably what they do the best now.

We love to get take out, and Mimi's has a wonderful take out service. They offer take out parking, and online ordering. It makes everything ultra easy which is the whole point of getting take out in the first place. Eating inside is equally fun, with a charming atmosphere and great service. The menu is varied and has something for almost anyone! Where else can you get a fancy grilled cheese sandwich or breakfast any time of day?

First off, finding a restaurant open on Sunday in Provo is not easy, so I appreciate finding Mimi's open. The food was excellent. I had the salmon, it was juicy and tender and done just right, the creamy sauce was delicious and complimented the potatoes very well. My friend had the turkey and dressing and said it was as good as any homemade she had ever had. The service was great and the prices were reasonable. I would recommend Mimi's for a nice dining experience with great food.

I'll just say it...I LOVE Mimi's Cafe. I visited Mimi's just a few days ago, and it never disappoints me. While the atmosphere doesn't really phase me anymore, it's got a nice, jazzy feeling to it. I typically go with a friend of mine who seems to get drunk off of skim milk, so he's always a riot to eat with. He orders the quiche lorraine every time - so loyal. I have to say that the Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin is wonderful. For breakfast, I'd have to say go with a bran muffin...they're surprisingly tasty. If you're wanting a huge meal, the Roasted Turkey meal is my favorite. It's like having Thanksgiving whenever you want - there's turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce. The only thing missing is green bean casserole. They also serve Coke products, which make it better than any place that serves Pepsi. Service is standard...not impeccable but not crappy. Oh, but there's one thing I don't really recommend...the Brownie with Ice Cream. The brownies, though enormous, are not that fulfilling. They give the appearance and taste that they've been waiting around awhile for you to order them.

Mimi's has a huge menu! We have been there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and have found good items on each menu. This place is great if you are going with a group a people with all different tastes, the menu is huge and everyone can find something they like. The bread basket is delicious, probably one of my favorite things. And the corn chowder is a must if you have not tried it...do!

Let's talk about the lack of personality in this place. You would at least except the first person you see to smile and greet you but nope. I'm so confused. Everyone in town has been so nice and then we come here to eat I would rather eat fast food.

First experience at Mimi's. 4 stars only because I thought it was overpriced for what I got. GREAT Breakfast. I got the strawberry waffles, which were delicious. (But again, a little overpriced) The service was great, and I liked the atmosphere as well. Great experience overall.

I USED to love Mimi's. I've had several bad experiences in a row. This time no one pulled the paper from the cheese before putting it on top of my French onion soup. Our service was terrible - which has nothing to do with the food. All of the sudden they don't bring bread out until you've ordered?! My Asian salad had boiled chicken. I was told it was roasted chicken. My dads potatoes tasted like rest home potatoes. The food was not bad but it's not like it used to be. Theve added a pumpkin bread to the bread basket. It's quite good. The French onion soup and buttermilk spice muffins will be forever good! This is the only reason I'd ever come back.

Mimi's Cafe is astonishingly bad. On Yelp it somehow looks cute and local. In fact it's aggressively banal corporate drek in a mall parking lot. Breakfast for two set me back 35 clams and gave me digestive problems I wouldn't wish on Dick Cheney. Endless fake "New Orleans with no black people" decor, insipid music, distracted untrained teen front staff, terrible coffee, miserable omelets... and I'm not picky about omelets. My muffin had a core of undercooked industrial cake mix, so I asked the waitress if she could have it toasted on the grill, and she sort of hopelessly offered to microwave it instead. Whatever they put inside my omelet made itself known for 18 hours. Even now, thinking about Mimi's, I can taste something bitter in my throat. On the plus side it's clean, with plenty of parking, and when we were there we saw quite a few elderly people dressed like bikers, which is always inspiring.

We went for sunday breakfast and enjoyed the food. Eggs benedict Florentine was delicious and my son enjoyed the French toast etc. Service was OK+ We were seated in a booth next to some loud guests and wish we had requested to move.......whatever! On our list to of places to go on a regular basis

Most worthless place to eat in orem. Do Not eat here, take your money elsewhere. Very small portions for high prices, food was dry and nasty. Waiter only came back to ask if we wanted our bill. Mimi's Sucks !

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The chicken cordon bleu is fantastic and is probably one of my favorites. Also, they have great muffins and bread. We took our friends there one night, but that night we were seated in the manager's section (at least I think he was the manager). He was so pushy. He wanted us to order a drink instead of water and was telling us about all of the appetizers after we told him that we weren't interested. Then our food took forever. A couple that came in after us finished eating before we were served. I was very dissappointed. The manager lied to us about why the food took so long and after we asked him where our food was he brought it out to us instantly. We have usually had a great experience every time, and we love the atmosphere there. Just don't let the manager serve you. He needs to take lessons from his employees.

Wow! My wife and I had an amazing first visit here. Our waiter, Jake, provided fabulous service and was a joy to be served by. He had great and honest recommendations for us (I was stuck between the roast beef sandwich and jambalaya--he told me the sandwich was the way to go, and it was the cheaper item. Score!) He also gave us four free muffins and a coupon for breakfast there. Definitely five stars for service. My wife had a crab, corn and asparagus quiche that came with a salad, fruit and a tasty, warm bran muffin. I got the roast beef sandwich with all the fixins (cheese, mushrooms, peppers, onions... yum). We both really liked our food, and I would certainly get the sandwich again. Cost is similar to what you'd find at Chili's or Applebees. I think we came out to a total of $28 or so. The bread basket sampler is a nice little appetizer to help you make it until your food comes. Ambiance is fine, nothing super special, but a nice change from tiled floors and fluorescent lights. In the interest of full disclosure, our bread plates had some smears (looked like finger grease) on them. We brought this to the attention of our server right when he came out, and he apologized and quickly got us new ones. Perhaps this was the reason for the muffins and coupon? Either way, things worked out nicely.

Food has always been decent, but not that amazing for the price. The one by South Towne Mall in Sandy just sucked for some reason on the service and the food was somewhat stale. The breads are pretty good.

Slow, poor service and I had a receipt from the kitchen in my sandwich. They are going for a New Orleans feel and it couldn't be further from it. Stay away.

Mimi's has always been pretty good, BUT they dropped the ball this time.. We had breakfast and I was craving the Quiche Lorraine, I haven't had it in years so it was time... Well..... I didn't get it this time cause they were out and baking up a fresh batch, we couldn't wait since we were pressed for time.. I ended up ordering scrambled eggs with potatoes and bacon.. The only thing that was good on the plate where the potatoes, the bacon was kind of under cooked, the eggs were beyond dry and tasted old, I'm going to assume my plate sat for a while before bringing it out to the table, same thing for my sons breakfast, The only difference was that his eggs were even drier.. My husbands breakfast was ok , he had no complaints.. The service was good, so no fault on her end for the food,, the 2 stars don't reflect on her service just the food.. Chances are we won't be back, we'll just find another place.. Sorry Mimi's we tried...

I have been to MImi's several times, and last night saw something I have never seen before: 3/4 empty right in the middle of dinner service on a Friday night. They have a completely new, smaller, and lighter menu that comes off as French food for those on a diet. None of the good old Mimis entrees remain. The chicken crepes' sauce tasted burned and the meatloaf sauce was clearly reduced to a rich thick mess after sitting too long. This is supposed to be French inspired menu and they cannot even the sauces right. Apparently they have just been bought out by LeDuff America, a Dallas company that operates a string of bakeries and cafes in North America including Bruegger's Bagels, and undergoing a change. I say close the doors until the changes are ready to be implemented properly. If this is what the new change is supposed to be: It's a change for the worse.

Very very slow service, they had a total of five tables full. We even had the manager waiting on us, and it still took 15 mins for our menus, Food came out cold. The roast beef was more fat than meat and fries were limp and cold. We use to love Mimi's but not anymore. Don't waste your time and money.

We initially tried this restaurant because we had coupons. We weren't expecting much, but walked away *very* surprised by an unexpectedly fantastic dining experience! This restaurant is simply delightful. They have that comfortable, homey feeling that buffets try so hard (and fail) to pull off. The interior is meant to be decorated like a French street. The vibe certainly isn't French, but it is quaint. Maybe it's the carpet. Either way, it was quiet enough for my husband and I to enjoy conversation without overhearing anyone else. I ordered their Cobb Salad w/Honey Mustard dressing, and my husband got the Turkey Pesto Ciabatta. Both were pretty good. In the future, I'd avoid the Cobb Salad simply because the cubed turkey was pretty nasty, but judging from the rest of our meal, that's not a reflection on the restaurant generally. Overall, I'd say the *style* of food is a lot like Dennys, but the quality is better. Next time we won't need coupons to convince us--this restaurant will give you a consistently enjoyable meal.

Today I was served mussels with broken shells. When I pointed it out, the staff seemed to think that only mussels that don't open are unsafe to eat. I tried to tell them that broken shelled mussels must be tossed. They are dead, and unsafe to consume. They gave a refund for my meal, but never apologized, and seem to be misinformed by common food safety rules. Fingers crossed I don't get sick.

will not be coming back here any time soon. sometimes food should not be changed around so much that it's nothing like the dish it is called. ordered a turkey Reuben sandwich. Seriously, nothing that makes this a Reuben other than using rye bread. Everything else was changed so why not call it a turkey sandwich on rye? Oh it also had ham but that was such a thin bit you really didn't taste it. Service was not good and when I just made a comment that the sandwich was different she never bothered to come back to our table except to give us the check. No refill for our 3.00 glass of tea. Fries were under cooked and soaked in grease.

If I had left this review a few years back, it would have had a few more stars on it.. My friend and I had the oil soup with the burger and fries. Oh, and if you don't cook burgers to order, don't ask us how we want our burgers! We asked for medium and got very well-rubber-done. I loved their corn chowder and still make the recipe at home for Thanksgiving dinner. However, what we got last time was some tasteless, bland, room temperature goo that has nothing to do with corn or chowder. Bottom line is, the place is under new management and I see it going out of business very, very soon

Great breakfast. I got the cinnamon French toast and it was delicious. The eggs and sausage were well-cooked. The hot chocolate was delicious and I'm not a big hot chocolate person. A little pricey but the food matched the cost in my opinion.

I went here because I had a coupon for free muffins from the e-club. I ordered the Chicken Tillamook Cheddar Mac to go. They said it would be ready in 10 minutes, made me wonder if they were just reheating something frozen in the microwave. Didn't know the price because it's not listed online and they didn't tell me on the phone, but I thought lunch is usually a little cheaper at most restaurants so probably wouldn't be too expensive. Was a little shocked when they said it would cost $14.01. I confirmed they had taken off the price of the muffin coupon. Got back home with my meal and found a box the size of a small dinner plate less than half full. Took a few bites and it was ok, but not $14 good. Definitely didn't taste like Tillamook cheddar because of the bacon and parmesan they smother it in. No bread or side salad included, just a half filled box of pasta. I could have gone to Noodles & Co. for cheaper and gotten more. I'd hate to see what their dinner prices are like. Definitely not worth the price, and definitely not the quality I remember from 10 years ago. Almost forgot the muffins. Yea . . . no. Glad they were free because I wouldn't have ever paid $2 each for those.

This is called Mimi's Cafe. This is not a cafe. It is a restaurant. The coffee was stale and cold. The wifi is broken. The employees were nice but this corporate establishment is true to form in its lack of attention to detail, quality and pride. It is a diluted version of what is called "food and beverage." Furthermore, from what I gathered, the wifi has been non-functional for a very long time. They clearly have no interest in fixing it. Take "cafe" off the name, stop pretending to have French class or quality and don't advertise free wifi. It's sad, the employees here were so nice. They probably have limited employment opportunities and are constrained to work in a bland, classless, lifeless facade of a restaurant.

Mimi's Cafe is a comfortable place that serves great food! The ambiance is perfect for a nice dinner date or for the whole family. There is something on the menu for everyone. Dinner is served with an appetizer of mixed breads...sweet and dinner roll variety. The salads are served separately for $1.99. I had the dinner salad with garden fresh veggies. All tasted great. **Try the beer battered Seafood Duo. The shrimp and fish are great tasting and served with cocktail and tartar sauce. The entree comes with coleslaw that is made to perfection. **The Mediterranean Fettuccine is fantastic. The noodles are cooked great and the sauce is smooth and spiced perfectly. **The sandwiches are unforgettable! You will not go away hungry from this place. **For families who like to eat out, Mimi's has a decent family "dinner to go" menu. For $25 you can get your entree, salad or soup, and a small dessert that will serve 4-5 people. Not a bad deal and the food is great! This is a place I would recommend to anyone.

One of the few places open on Sunday, from 7am to 9pm! Ask for their complimentary bread--it is only given by request and it's phenomenal (if you like specialty breads like banana nut etc). Their breakfast is wonderful--they cook their bacon just right, not too soft but not too crunchy. I had their mixed berry stuffed French toast (or something like that) and it was great. The filling wasn't too heavy and the fresh berries were a nice touch. I've also been here for lunch/dinner. It's great if you're looking for good comfort food.

I LOVE Mimi's. My fiance and I have been there countless times. I would give them 5 stars, but I just feel like they've lost a LITTLE bit of their WOW factor ever since the economy got ugly. But honestly, this place is AWESOME! There are THREE things we order every time we go to Mimi's: 1. Chicken Pot Pie -- YUM! It is delicious and it is HUGE. It is always hot when they bring it to you and it just tastes like your mom made it. Sooo good! The crust is excellent...I just love mixing it in with the chicken and everything else. YUM! 2. Honey Bran Muffin -- There's nothing else I can say about it...the name just makes your mouth water. 3. Hot Chocolate -- This is a big cup of hot chocolate...honestly, it might simply be Swiss Miss...but it tastes great (maybe it's the environment that makes it taste better). And the cream they throw on top just makes it taste even better. There you have it! Those three things make for an awesome lunch, dinner. Try them...I promise you will not regret it.

I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich with a side garden salad and my wife had the French Pot Roast. The sandwich had everything good in the world between two halves of a roll that I want to make sandwiches out of everyday. The ham was thick and juicy and awakened the 'pig-eater' inside of me from his 5 minute nap. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and definitely belonged in my insides. Could have used more Dijon mustard though. The pot roast made me question my American citizenship. Cooked in red wine with tender meat, pearl onions and carrot coins over garlic mash......the French nailed it! We would have rated 5 stars if the service was better. Had a basket of bread with no bread plates nor silverware until the food came out, which was a little longer than we thought was reasonable with the number of empty tables there were. They also brought my wife's side salad out after the entrees came. Must have been Opposite Day for our server.

Love their food even though it's not enough to to fill you. I am only a 115lb female and I had to order more just to be full. Service is horrible. Don't go in with expectations. I ask for a drink refill multiple times and yes I did get one well half of one when my meal was done. They were out of coffee which is why I only received half of one and was told it would be filled when a new pot was done brewing yeah that never happened, big surprise. We asked for ketchup and jam multiple times which was also received after our meal since we were hungry we just ate anyways.

I got the lemon poppyseed pancakes. I would rate them a 4/10. Wasn't a fan, but my friend liked his. This is my second time coming here. I really liked the turkey sandwich I got the first time. Their service is very fast and the food came out quickly. It was hot and cooked very well. I would rate this higher than Denny's but the prices are a bit higher.

I love this place! It's perfect for all of my business lunch and even dinner meetings. Quite atmosphere so you can hear who's talking in your group, but still great jazzy soft music in the back ground. The food is amazing and my kids even ask to go there too. They have amazing little loaf's of bread you can buy that make great little gifts.

Good bye Mimi's Cafe, you were good while you lasted.... I have loved this place for 13+ years. My wife and I, while dating, would eat here and no matter the location it was always good with great service. I have since been to the one in Orem, UT twice and Mission Valley San Diego once in the past 4 months. This place is dying. The service at both was very slow and the food less than good. Honestly, if I was from France and ate here in the US I would be highly offended and demand they stop trying to connect it with my homeland....such a slap in the face to France and the food created by that country. The servers have been pretty good and very nice but the kitchen takes forever to serve the food which reflects poorly on the serving staff. Again, this have been the case upon my last three visits. I feel bad for the waiters because they are trying to cover for an inept kitchen. Perhaps they need some Gordon Ramsey kitchen ass kicking'. It'd make a good show seeing him literally tossing cobb salads and making muffins fly. The food is served almost warm and the brie & turkey sandwich I ate was so dry, even with the chutney one it, that I thought grandma's Thanksgiving meal came early. However with plenty of water and a plunger it went down. My son's fries were cold and his burger was also almost warm. Even their tossed cobb salad, which has been a longtime staple for me is extremely wet and soggy where it use to be crisp and fresh. The issue is not the people waiting on you, it's the ones you don't see cooking and preparing the food that has killed this place. I'm also suspect that it's the corporation that is also cutting back on the quality of the ingredients. When the food goes, so does the restaurant. au revoir, Mimi's Cafe..... I mean, Goodbye, as you probably don't understand french anymore as you once did....

Last minute get together with mom and the siblings ... in all - there were 10 of us show up for lunch. Staff were amazing. Quickly set up an area for us to sit where we could enjoy a great meal with great service, and let us linger for a while as it wasn't TOO busy in the early afternoon. So nice to catch up with the family. Thanks Mimi's for great food and service and making the day great! By the way - the Salmon was A W E S O M E!!

Very disappointed! I usually love Mimi's but I will never come to this location again! Our server Matthew never refilled our drinks, we had to ask several times for our bread and he never came to check on us during our meal. We had to ask another waitress to refill our water and Our breakfast was so so.

I was in from out of town and was looking for something other than fast food for brunch. Came to Mimi's as I am familiar with the menu. Although, my service was never so fabulous before. My server today was Brian and he was terrific! Very welcoming, consistent, and poise. He had a smile on his face the whole time. Being a server myself with high standards, he was very pleasing. I had ordered the Pommes Lioneaz(spell check as I am not French) but it was perfect. Every little thing about it. Along with my mimosa and latte. A morning alone, in a place I am not familiar with, and Brian made me feel right at home. Thank you. :)

What to say..... I prefer to eat at places where I don't walk away thinking I could do better myself. I've eaten here a couple of times now and just wasn't impressed either time. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't anything special.

I gave this place 3 stars because of the to die for, yummy bread that is served before your entree comes, and the service was friendly and attentive. However, the entree was about the same quality that I would expect from Denny's. I did love the artwork and the cozy, homey feel of the place...but the food could use some work.

We went to Mimi's with a party of 10, all family so I got to taste a lot of different dishes. I had the waffles with strawberries, it was fairly good but nothing special. We tried all of the different muffins and they were good. My wife enjoyed the potato cake eggs Benedict, that was probably the tastiest thing any if us ordered. The oj w tasted freshly squeezed, I appreciated that. The service was slow and they messed up out order a bit. But I can forgive that because we had a big group and the restaurant was swamped. Overall it was pretty good but not that special.

This place is SO unhealthy and overpriced! The 'muffin' that came with the meal was basically a cupcake. Everything was so rich and over sugared/buttered that I came away with such a stomach ache. Save your time and money and just make breakfast at home!

Let's talk about the lack of personality in this place. You would at least except the first person you see to smile and greet you but nope. I'm so confused. Everyone in town has been so nice and then we come here to eat I would rather eat fast food.

Not bad. Good hamburger. Typical, above average chain fare.

(3)Todd S.

Great for breakfast. Forget about going for lunch or dinner...

Just had the most tender piece of beef in my life. I highly recommend the Beef Pot Roast dish. Mashed potatoes were smooth and had a small but sufficient tasty gravy. Get it !
(5)Alan D.
Decent enough breakfast. A bit foo-foo for my tastes, with average service. Kind of like IHOP, with better decorations. Meh.

Absolutely embarrassing food served with out any care for the customer. Microwave brioche, powdered hot chocolate and unimpressive service. This place makes Denny's seem like s five star establishment !

(1)Greg H.
Great breakfast. I got the cinnamon French toast and it was delicious. The eggs and sausage were well-cooked. The hot chocolate was delicious and I'm not a big hot chocolate person. A little pricey but the food matched the cost in my opinion.
(4)Brooke S.
The fries were good BUT most everything else was super, duper average. And that's my review.

(3)Deven B.
(2)Jason C.
(4)K M.
(5)Michelle M.
We stopped for breakfast and were very disappointed Very slow service. The eggs were not warm and very rubbery. The presentation was also very poor. The fruit cup was just grapes. Never going back.

This place is OK. But I always feel like it is full of people that are my grandparents age.

(4)Whitney W.
Very disappointed! I usually love Mimi's but I will never come to this location again! Our server Matthew never refilled our drinks, we had to ask several times for our bread and he never came to check on us during our meal. We had to ask another waitress to refill our water and Our breakfast was so so.
(1)Melissa M.
Thank you. :)
(5)Rick H.
What to say..... I prefer to eat at places where I don't walk away thinking I could do better myself. I've eaten here a couple of times now and just wasn't impressed either time. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't anything special.
(2)Stephanie B.
I gave this place 3 stars because of the to die for, yummy bread that is served before your entree comes, and the service was friendly and attentive. However, the entree was about the same quality that I would expect from Denny's. I did love the artwork and the cozy, homey feel of the place...but the food could use some work.
(3)Michelle M.
Sat at 1035 didn't get food til 1130, food usually is good however this one struggled, maybe a bad day. Muffins were still to die for. We still love it, this time however fell quite short of the mark.
(2)C. C.
I've always been a fan of Mimi's, and my most recent visit was the best. Incredible lime cheesecake bites, good service.
(4)Gregory R.
(3)Isobel O.
This place is SO unhealthy and overpriced! The 'muffin' that came with the meal was basically a cupcake. Everything was so rich and over sugared/buttered that I came away with such a stomach ache. Save your time and money and just make breakfast at home!
