Oh please. If you think this is Peruvian food you probably also think that the Chinese Buffet is authentic Chinese food. The food here is tasteless and overpriced. When I see the reviews of people saying that's it's the best place ever I just wonder what the future holds for mankind.

I love this place! The food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. My favorites are the steak and the ceviche on the specialties list.

This is one of the best restaurants in Orem. I am a non-mormon transplant and would enjoy a pisco sour with my dinner, but alas they do not serve alcohol. Their lomo saltado is heaven. They make their own fresh french fries, the meat is sizzling, and they mix in some fresh vegetables. They also serve, frankly, the best cevice I have had short of the similar poki (which I have only had in Hawaii with freshly caught fish). Really, go to this place. They are friendly and serve quality food.

Food here is a 3, but I give it a 4 because it is unique in the valley (at least to my knowledge). Service is good, prices are cheap, decor is fun, and you can get Peruvian food unavailable anywhere else. Worth a try!

I like this place a lot. It's not the best Peruvian food I have found in the area, but that does not mean La Carreta's food isn't good. I really like their ceviche and pollo a la braza. The waiters struggle to speak English at times, but it's rarely a problem or a distraction. I would recommend this place anytime.

My wife and I always get the #2 and the #14. The food is PHENOMENAL!!!! The wait staff leaves a lot to be desired, though. On our most recent visit, the restaurant was almost empty. I waited 20 minutes for the waiter to come out after my glass was empty, and he had to be reminded twice to bring us limes. We were never asked how our food was or invited to come back. Also, the prices are a little bit high, especially considering that the sides consist of french fries and "salad" which is just a small pile of chopped iceberg lettuce. Let me emphasize again, though, that the food is absolutely delicious.

The food literally stinks. I tried 2 dishes, both were bland, no real flavors, forget about authentic peruvian cooking. My major problem was that the food had some kind of odour that just turned me off.

The food is really good, but a bit pricy for what you get in my opinion.

One of my favorite places to eat in all of Utah! Bisteck a la Carreta is my go to dish here, it never disappoints me. Make sure to try their Aji hot sauce(green and red) and Inca Cola! Nice quiet atmosphere most of the time but with large groups it can get a bit noisy.

I went to La Carreta last weekend with my sister and parents. So fun! The restaurant was pretty and well maintained. Our server was very friendly and recommended a few dishes, some of which we ended up ordering. My sister ordered the Machos Nachos appetizer, which might have been my favorite dish. The flavors of the dishes were unique, seemingly mostly because of their "special soy sauce." The meat dishes were cooked to a lovely texture and I loved the refried beans on the sides. I ordered a vegetarian dish with fettuccine noodles that turned out to be wonderful. My one complaint is that the service was quite slow, especially considering we were the only customers when we arrived.

I love the food here! I've never had Peruvian food before and I must say the food here has great flavor, the large portions make me very happy too!!! The friendly service is an added bonus! The wait for your food can sometimes be long however, it's worth the wait! I love this non-chain, Mom and Pop, Restaurant and I hope more Utah County people discover this joint!!

My wife and I love this place. Prices arent too high for the amount of food you get and it has great flavor. Service is exceptional and the servers are quit friendly. we will most definitely be back for more.

I have been here multiple times and each time I have been impressed by the speed of the service and the amazing flavor of each dish. While there has never been a large crowd at this establishment, something that I am surprised by considering how wonderful the food is, I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking to add an ethnic favorite to your normal eating out routine.

Great food at a good price. You will not be sorry for visiting. I always get the #23 it's SO delicious I want to lick my plate clean. If you are in the area, I would highly recommend you stop by and grab a bite of some delicious, fresh Peruvian food!

the flavor isn't that great. Knew some of the food had been microwaved. The price is to high for the amount and quality of the food.
