Food Suggestions to Maintain Cholesterol Level at Village Inn
Great place! I live and work in Ogden so I find myself eating here semi-regularly for lunch and dinner, either on my own to grab a slow lunch or with a group to take advantage of their large open areas that can seat 10-30 people. The food has always exceeded my expectations and the service is EXCELLENT! (Even when my group of 10 unexpectedly turned into a group of 25!) I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a casual meal. I'll definitely be back many more times in the coming year.

The silverware was filthy. The food was mediocre; brown lettuce, soggy breading on the chicken, and waxy potatos. Had to wait a long time before we were served. However, our waitress was fantastic, which is the only reason I am giving two stars. She was able to make suggestions about the menu, and quickley addressed our concerns about the food so that our experience wasn't a complete nightmare.

As long as you're there when they aren't slammed, the service is phenomenal! I always get the crepes when the strawberries are in season or the French Toast Combo. When I'm in the mood for lunch I can't resist getting their Ref Chili! The staff makes you feel at home and are quick to resolve any issues you might have. Don't forget to try their apple pie al la mode!

I'm not a fan of chain diners and wanted to give this a lower rating. But, the service at this particular Village Inn is consistently good and the food, for what it is, is generally well prepared. We tend to stick to breakfast egg dishes and simple lunches. Pancakes can be good, though on a couple of occasions, they were heavy and limp. As with any place like this, as long as you go in with modest expectations, you'll do fine. The people who work at particular Village Inn seem to go out of their way to be cheerful and do all they can to make your experience a good one.

Bad experience here. The hostess loathed her job and didn't try to hide it. Our server took our order then came back and left us our check before our food even came out. She only came back once to check on us after 20 minutes (we ordered unlimited fish and chips, which made it especially annoying). I ordered a slice of carrot cake, which was dried out and tasted like it had been in the fridge for a couple of weeks. We ordered the freshly battered fish and chips (Fridays only), which were actually very good. Thats the only reason they are getting two stars. Wish we'd gone somewhere else.

Oh how I love Village Inn - I think it is my guilty, breakfast pleasure! We went here this morning for breakfast and I thoroughly enjoyed my strawberry crepes with bacon, hash browns and a hot chocolate. The service was efficient and friendly and the restaurant was clean. I always seem to have a good experience whenever I visit a Village Inn!
