I would give this place a ZERO if I could. Coming from out of town, friends of ours told us about this place and how awesome it was. So we headed over, on a Saturday night, 5:00pm. There were lots of people working, PLENTY of tables open, probably around five that could easily sit a party of four - yet we stood there for 10 min at the door waiting for somebody to seat us. My biggest problem, the waitresses, cooks, ect, they all looked right at us, and ignored us. The waitresses walked right by and gave us the nastiest looks, almost like we were standing there naked, it was horrible, and I was pissed. I wanted to walk up to them and ask what the hell was their problem (that's how nasty the looks were). One of the cooks finally looked up, came out, and asked if we had been helped, we said no and he disappeared. We were still standing there 5 minutes after that with still no attention so we left. We were talking about the attitude, looks, and just the rudeness of the staff there, the rest of our trip. *OWNER, if you see this, contact me, I can give very detailed descriptions of who was on staff and gave us those nasty looks while ignoring us. We will never go to this place again while in town, and my friends who live in Utah said the same, and they are going to pass the word on to other's in the area. I don't care how good the food is, you don't treat customers like that.

Disclaimer: with 30+ nostalgic years of Tony's pizza under my belt, a completely objective review may be impossible. Take that for what it's worth. But for all the many cities I've visited and all the pizza I've eaten, Tony's remains my gold standard. Sure, New Yorkers and Chicagoans may scoff, thinking good pizza is somehow exclusive to a handful of zip codes. And California foodies will turn up their noses at the lack of Shiitake mushrooms and basil leaves on the toppings list. Their loss. Tony's pizza has the perfect amount of cheese and the perfect amount of sauce on a perfectly-thin crust, perfectly cooked to nearly-charred-edges pizza nirvana on pans that were probably being used when I was a toddler. The "salad" is a bowl of nearly-colorless iceberg lettuce (no nasty nutrients to kill this vibe!) doused in a vinegary Italian dressing so good I could drink it straight from the bottle. And the sausage is the best I've ever had on a pizza. This is the pizza sausage other pizza sausages dream of being. The menu is sparse, the toppings list is gloriously short, the place is tiny, loud, oddly-located and always elbow-bumping crowded (and the service can suffer due to the crowds). But it's all worth it, and we eat here frequently. What better place to celebrate my big 4-0 (thanks to a surprise gathering orchestrated by my wife) than the restaurant I consider my dining birthplace. No delivery, no reservations, no-nonsense pizza heaven. Bottom line: don't eat here. It will only increase the wait for me. :)

When my boyfriend and I lived in layton, my boyfriend suggested tony's. He had heard many good things from his co-workers about it. So when one night we decied to go try it out. At first we couldn't find it, but if you look hard enough you will find it. it's like a hole in the wall. its perfect for date nights or even a family gathering. I highly recommend you try this place out! P.s. remember to bring cash!!! Plus its the BEST pizza i ever had!

Although Tony's serves salad and pasta, what they specialize in is their pizza. Definitely try the sausage pizza...excellent! My husband and I will definitely go back again when we are in Ogden.

Our family loves to eat here. There is a ton of cheese on their pizza. The garlic bread is a also awesome. Great service. Can get a little loud but it is a local favorite.

Classic!! I had been trying to decide which pizza place in Ogden was going to be my "go to" and after narrowing it down to Tony's and The Pie... Tony's comes out on top. Great pizza, great meatball subs and great salad. I had to laugh at the review posted by Gina H. Waiting 15 minutes to be seated?.. On a Saturday?.. at 5pm?... Outrageous!!!! hahaha!! The staff is great! the food is great!! and the location is great!!

Good food for cheap! Great meatball subs, great pizza, great spumoni ice cream.

When I was in high school in the early 80's we used to come here on Friday nights to watch the fights break out on the corner in front of Tony's after the football games, looks like all the blood has finally been washed off the sidewalks! The good news is this place finally got the remodel it's needed since the early 70's, I think the last time I came here was a double date right after I got married in 88 with some Friends from salt lake who had never been to Ogden. I was in Ogden today to meet up with a customer for lunch and have been dying to see if it was still the same good pizza so I flat out told him we were meeting here and I'm glad I did! They make the pizza with a super thin crust, good quality salted mozzarella cheese and canned mushrooms, which is the way I thought pizza was supposed to be made when I was a kid, a little more salty than fresh mushrooms. The result is great pizza and just as good cold for breakfast the next morning.

I Love Tony's! Tony's easily has the best meatball sandwich in town. Pizza is very good as well. Also, the pasta dinners are the best deal in town. Pasta, Salad, Bread, Drink, and Ice Cream at the end for like $6.50. Great restaurant.. and Cheap! It's Fantastic!

I have only been coming here for about the past year. Wow, the pizza is great! I have been here in town for about 2 years and was looking for the go to pizza place and this is it. The prices are good, and the pizza is great. They are super quick also.

I grew up in South Ogden 30+ years ago but never did frequent Tony's pizza for some reason, in fact I had only been there once prior to this latest visit. So, I thought it time to give them another try. We ordered up pizza and garlic bread. The server was extremely friendly and effiecient, she took our order promptly, and our drinks never went dry. The bread was delivered quickly soon followed by the pizza. The bread was ok, a small loaf of bread split down the middle slathered in garlic butter and wrapped in foil and baked. I would prefer the butter side go under a broiler and the bread get browned more but it tasted good enough. The pizza was a reasonable size, we did half and half and all the ingredients (sausage, ham, mushroom & pinneapple) were good, nothing extraordinary, the least favorite was the mushrooms, they appeared canned. The pizza had a lot of cheese, a decent sauce and good crust. I certainly wouldn't rate this the best pizza in the area but it is a very good value considering what you get for the very reasonable price. That combined with the friendly service means I will probably go back soon. Maybe next time I will try one of their pastas or the meatball sandwich, someone else got the sandwich while we were there and it looked massive and inexpensive.

I've been coming to Tony's pizza for many years, but not really in last 15 years. When I was young and in school, my family frequented this place. We ordered garlic bread and a half and half pizza. The garlic bread was cooked in foil so the butter wasn't really browned on top which made the bread seem oily. The garlic flavor was a bit weak as well. The pizza used canned mushroom, which is my pet peeve, and the pineapple was not very plentiful either. There was a large crust area on the pizza without sauce or toppings that I ended up throwing away rather than eating it, because there wasn't much flavor. I would say the pizza was ok, but I'm not going out of my way to get back here any time soon.

I love Tony's Pizza. I have lived in other states and in another country, but by far this is yummy pizza. We recently went there before we went the theater around the corner. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. They got extremely busy with take out orders as well as those that wanted to dine in. I love there basically simple salad and could easily as for another. But I love their combo pizza. Recently, I was talking to a lady from out of town at my job and she said. "When I first went to Tony's, I thought what the heck are they putting green olives on a pizza for" She then told me that is the best item on the pizza" The only thing I would suggest is that dine in guest should be able to pay at their tables because waiting at the side of the register to get someone to take your money was a little weird balancing our pizza boxes.

Great pizza joint. I actually love the sandwiches more than the pizza. The salad has the best vinaigrette ever. I could drink the stuff.

If you're a pretentious, narcissistic, highfalutin, concrete jungle dwelling, nincompoop; then this probably isn't your pizza. This pizza is understated, simplistic, delicious, comfort food for people of Ogden. It's a part of us, it's not a trendy spot that comes and goes with the tide; it's a local staple. Is it the best pizza I've ever had? Yes, will you feel the same? Probably not. There are some canned ingredients which they use rather than their fresh counterparts, but that's part of the distinct flavor so many of us know and love. I hope they never change a thing, I like it just the way it is. Keep it simple Tony.

  • Heather Z.

Pizza was not as good as I would expect because the sauce was watery, it had a lot of toppings which provided the only flavor. The crust was too burnt and crispy to eat. And the Atmosphere was loud and echoey. Our shoes stuck to the floor and the table was broken. All in all it was pretty sucko. I love pizza and don't recommend this place especially for dining in.

  • Rosie G.

This place is an excellent way to spend a family meal or a date if you're expecting to have explosive and life changing diarrhea as a group afterward. The garlic bread was pretty good also

  • Laurie O.

This was really tasty. The service was atrocious but when I inquired the lady said that they were short two staff members so I can understand when things happen that you have no control over. In the very least our server could have dropped by and at least acknowledged us but all in all we had the ravioli and my hubby had the meatball sub. I loved the loaves of bread as I was very impressed with their red sauce on the pasta (which I am picky about) and used lots of bread to scoop up the yummy sauce!

I have been going here ever since I was a little kid and the food is delicious. They have really good salads and freshly cooked bread with butter to start the meal off. Then you can chose from a variety of Italian entrees. Normally we go as a family and order multiple things and share. We normally get a large pizza with sausage mushrooms olives green olives ham and pepporoni. Then we also get the tortellini and spaghetti. My personal favorite is the tortellini. It is very good. For dessert we get their delicious Spinoni ice cream. This is a great place to take your family. The only setback is that it is small so it is hard to park and it is busy so you sometimes have to wait a long time, but you can also take frozen pizzas home or order ahead.

I freaking love this place. I am 22 now and have been coming here since i was 1 or older. The have an amazing Tonys supreme Pizza. The green olives make the pizza. Oh and the cheese. OMG!!!! The salad if you like fresh green salad with an amazing dressing its for you. Just sprinkle a little parmesan cheese on it and its amazing. They are really great priced and really family friendly.

Meh, I've experienced better is a perfect quote for this restaurant. The pizza, while raved about by locals and old timers who've been dinning at Tony's since they were kids, is acceptable. But it's not a place you'd put down as a destination you 'must' try. This crust was burnt on one side. Topping were plentiful and tasty. That being said, the crust as a whole is no better than a frozen pizza. Soft and rubbery, and lacking that crunch/chewy texture you expect from the really good pizza places. It's inexpensive. It's old. And the bathrooms are disgusting and smell like urine. Don't bother. There's better dining options nearby.

I don't understand the deal with this place. The employees are very nice and friendly but the food is below sub par. The pizza is ALRIGHT, it's like your average restaurant pizza. Nothing that will blow you away. Pasta is gross and obviously frozen. Sauce is gross and probably canned. You can buy the same tasting garlic bread at the grocery store. Menu is bland and plain boring. Weird building too. Really could use a makeover and a visit from Gordon Ramsey. Very disappointed considering all the rave reviews it has gotten..people who say "OMG this food is amazing! Best pizza ever! Blah blah blah" obviously have never tried good pizza in their life and call Western Family food delicious.

If i wanted that much oil, i would have bathed myself in it. So glad that I don't have to pretend to like this joint anymore. Salads are pretty basic here....lettuce and dressing....NOT!

This place is a great hole-in-the-wall place. Their garlic bread is great, their salad is very simple but delicious, and i love that they put the perfect things on their combo pizza. I dont have to ask for anything off. I really want to try their subs, my husband says they are delicious.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together.
