Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Maybe it was a bad night... But we had a terrible experience... I think the restaurant was understaffed... Monday is 99 cent kid meals... Maybe that is why there is wasn't enough staffing... Food was not good... Felt sick afterwards...We waited for about an hour... Saw our waitress two times... Finally had to track down another worker to get a check... Should have left 15 minutes into our experience... We will never be going back... I told several families coming in to reconsider eating there....haven't had this bad of a dining experience in the last five years...

I will never eat here ever again. I got the chile verde and it tasted like cream of chicken. The service was slow. This is not even close to authentic Mexican

There will be a follow up to this review; however, my first impressions is this place is defiantly worth your money. I just relocated with my work to Ogden. While driving looking for lunch I saw this lovely gem. I wasn't expecting much but thought I would give it a try. I was impressed to find an older/middle aged lady working the drive up. So much nicer than some punk kids. She was very Latina. I love seeing authentic Hispanics in the Mexican restaurants I frequent. Makes me feel like I'm likely to get real food not some watered down Americanized version. She was extremely nice, food was nice and hot. It was good, I liked it but It didn't knock my socks off. I will go back a few more times and try different things. My first impression? Definitely worth my money!

Ok food, very fast, but for the money id 10 times rather eat at la frontera, la luna, red iguana..

Prompt, friendly service in a warm, clean and inviting atmosphere. The food was authentically flavored and tasty. Salsa was very good & the chips/ guacamole fresh. Plenty of parking. We came in 30 min before closing and was not rushed. Overall very pleasant experience.

Javier's is my family's go to for Mexican in Ogden. Seriously just as fast as "fast food" but you get to sit down and be served by some of the friendliest servers anywhere. Some of our favorites are the chili verde and they have the best rice and beans!

This is a great restaurant but very pricey for tex mex food. They give you chips and salsa that are really good. The salsa is fresh and the chips are cool and rainbow colored. Their food is really good and my mom aunt and uncle go there frequently. I got a beef burrito and it was good.

It's better to order out at this place. It seems as though it tastes better when it comes in a container. If you have to wait it's a little disappointing. That being said their El senor Ron is very good. The menu is pretty big which normally bothers me but since most Mexican food is prepared with similar ingredients it isn't a problem.

Good food. Great service. The mole burrito is my favorite.

I have sampled many authentic Mexican restaurants, and this one so far is my favorite. It's not overly greasy like other places and the service is great.

Javier has really expanded and I salute him from where he started and how its grown. Standard Utah Mexican food- cheddar cheese goes on the refried beans, sauce on everything and large portions for the dinner combo (always make two meals out of one diner combo). That said, I will always go back here vs other local spots (think El Matador)- Javier's food is always super fresh, chips and salsa muy tasty and the very friendly servers will bring you more without a problem. This place has become a regular rotation in the eating out wheelhouse, and all locations are been consistently good.
