If you like having a reservation for, say 7 o clock, and having to wait until, hmmm 8:30? Then this is the place for you!!!! Holy freakin crap. It's like everyone who works here is on turtle time. I know it's not fast food or anything but fuuuuu. I feel like we should have been paying our bill by 8:30 not barley being seated. Especially since it wasn't even busy. Food was okay. Server was SLOW but friendly enough. Idk if I'll go back. Probably NOT.

I do not know what happened tonight, but, with no exaggeration, it took an hour and a half from the time we ordered our food until it arrived! And the restaurant was not busy, at all. My pork chop was moist, but had not been seared or seasoned at all. So disappointing. The short ribs were very good, but nothing else to the expected level. Our waiter was very friendly. And my dinner did end up comped, but I am afraid to come back and try this place again. We probably will, but will hope that next time the chef will be there who knows what he is doing and not just some third string burger flipper from the hamburger joint down the street.

Really classy place. Our waiter Dave was amazing! I don't think I've ever had such a fantastic waiter. The food was good, parking was rough but they do have parking around back. We didn't notice until we were seated and looked out the window. Highly recommend!

Food was great. Took a while to get our food; however, the staff made it up to us by bringing a free appetizer.

After reading all of the comments on yelp we decided to try this place out on our Anniversary. Maybe I was expecting too much, I thought I had read somewhere that it was farm to table and I was expecting something similar to the Copper Onion, but it was pretty bad. First of all the elevator/entry area smelled and looked like a cheap motel and I wasn't very impressed with the interior either (maybe it is better in the summer). I was in the mood for pasta, but shorty after getting my entree I realized we would have been better off at the Olive Garden. The only thing that tasted good was the oil and vinegars. The decadent chocolate was an overcooked box brownie. It wasn't good. I would never choose to return.

Love the atmosphere and the location! Great people watching when you sit out on the "patio". Love that they have 2 sides - formal dining and then the lounge. My husband's fav is the elk with the mushroom risotto. I haven't found a fav yet, but will continue to come back until I do! We have found that we get better service on the more formal side.

This is how a meal is supposed to be, food tasted great, looked as good as it tasted. I have had, steak, Pizza, burgers my favorite it's the brazen lamb. Service every time I have been in has been great... My go to fit great dinner

This place is incredible. The food was excellent and atmosphere was great. The owner was personable and really loves what he does. This was a serendipitous find. I will be going back regularly. Without a doubt, One of the top restaurants north of salt lake

I consider myself a US restaurant week expert and though I am only satisfied 50% of the time from San Diego to DC, Hearth on 25th invigorated my love of this food appreciation focus!! From the moment we walked in, our wait and bar staff, Chris and AJ, and the food....amazing. Not only was I surprised to find this gem in Utah, but shocked to find it anywhere. Do yourself a favor: go to hearth on 25th. You won't be disappointed and I know I'll be back and I'm bringing my foodie friends!

I took my family to Hearth with high hopes... that didn't pan out. We had three appetizers : fried green tomatoes, home made potato chips and the strawberry salad. The fried green tomatoes were excellent. The potato chips were good, but some were burned. The salad was so tart it was inedible. For main dishes we ordered two of their most expensive items : Wagyu new york steaks, and one of us had the Bucatinni pasta. Here's where things went downhill. The Bucatinni wasn't cooked through (not al dente -- not cooked), and some of the noodles couldn't be chewed. Neither Wagyu was really a Wagyu steak, they were average grocery store choice cuts. For the price... this restaurant is a total bust.

Loved the Pork 2 Ways. I thought it was very flavorful. We went there with friends and loved it enough that we hope to visit often. Definitely worth it!

We checked this place out tonight and the food was amazing. We had the truffle pasta and beef stroganoff both were heavenly. The pasta is made fresh and you can tell the difference. Homemade bread with flavored balsamic vinegars and olive oil was so flavorful. I highly recommend coming here.

Fantastic food and great atmosphere. Had the Korean veggie pizza and it was out of this world. The kimchi was well balanced and gave just enough kick. Also had a Title 32B cocktail with my food which was also exceptionally tasty. Most importantly, my waiter Austin was very friendly and helpful. A great spot!

Lived in Ogden for 27 years, and have never been to this restaurant. I am very impressed with the atmosphere, customer service, and food. The food was amazing, and it was very elegant and quite. Servers were top notch, they checked on us often, but not annoyingly like other restaurants that pester too much. The food recommendations were great also. Price was higher end, but definitely pay for what you get.

Hearth is a great restaurant. They've have problems with the kitchen in years past. Meals would come out crazy slow. In the last 18 months I've never had to wait an above normal time for my food. They have a great staff that is genuinely friendly. One of my out of state pals is a major foodie, he insists on eating here anytime he's in state. The menu is on the spendy side for O-town, but the atmosphere and quality of food make it worth the price. The French dip sandwich is a great option for less money. The bacon wrap beef shoulder is my go to. Not huge, but well portioned. The olive oil and vinegar combos they serve at the start of the meal are fun and usually very good. My favorite was a lime olive oil with strawberry vinegar. One weird thing is the building it's located in. Its odd to leave the restaurant to use the bathroom in the hall. I think the rest if the building is offices and apartments. While a nice newer space, it feels a little out of place here.

I dined here a few times over the past few months and had a few wonderful evenings here. The service i received from Chris was impeccable. I have read a few reviews below me, one in particular and i have no idea why someone would insult a server in any establishment, let alone this gentleman. His hat, is fantastic. And his personality (if you have one as well) is witty and comforting, also if you were to understand anything about style you would appreciate his appearance. Moving forward. We received the pork 2 ways and the Yak! Both fantastic dishes! The cream of asparagus was to die for. Garnished with blue cheese, really?! Awesome. All around a great fine dining establishment. Keep your head up and your ears open, get out of that Ogden mindset, you might be able to learn a thing or two from these servers. Maybe try some oil and vinegar while your at it. Most versatile staff, menu and restaurant. Great work

I have never been more disappointed about a restaurant in my entire life. We were in town for a show and decided to eat meat the venue rather then eat in salt lake first. Bad decision. I ordered the truffle pasta with chicken. I have never eaten anything so bland. It tasted as if they had boiled the noodles and put them on a plate with steamed veggies and that's it. No seasoning, no sauce, nothing. My husband had the pork two ways. The shredded pork was good however the pork chop was very bland well. The wait was incredibly slow from when we ordered our food to when we actually got it. I am so surprised that the reviews were so good for this place. We paid $80 for a meal that tasted as if it were $20. Definitely not worth the price!

I had never heard of this place prior to today, but after missing another restaurant on the Ogden Restaurant Week Yelp circuit thing, this was the next closest so we went there. The foyer is odd...basically just an interior space that houses a door hidden behind a curtain (no idea) and elevator doors. Elevator is not especially fast, it should probably be noted. Decor is also very...odd. It's sort of reminiscent of something like Kneader's or a Mimi's, sort of homestyle-y, let's call it "rustic", but this one has a lot of tinges of the higher end. It never quite makes it there, but you can tell that they want to. That last sentence may sum up everything about this place perfect. They really would badly love to be a high end restaurant, but it doesn't make it there. Menus are encased in a nice, heavy case, but the actual font style makes for difficult reading. The prices in there are definitely on the high end side, but the selections are skewed so far towards the sort of "unique spin" end of things, it's difficult to find anything that appears to be a solid sort of base and all of it just seems odd. Service was fantastic, though, definitely the high point of the visit, though there was just too much wrong with it to escalate the score any higher. The calamari we ordered was probably the best overall. Pieces were good-sized and pretty well-cooked, though the batter was a bit salty in spots. It came without marinara but with a sort of tartar sauce in either an endive or lettuce leaf, which wound up being a recurring theme for other menu items also, adding a touch of quaint, I suppose. Still, a bit of lemon rounded the calamari out well. One of my companions got a french dip, which seemed ok and the other got a burger and fries. The burger was probably the sloppiest, messiest thing I've seen offered in a while and probably isn't really especially suitable to lunch. I was told it had an off taste, sort of "gamey" but nothing to put a specific finger on. With seeing watercress leaves in the mix, it didn't sound too far off the mark. What I got was the actual YRW special, which was a small plate of hummus and the trout salad combo. The hummus was a bit tasteless and not helped by the olive oil and vinegar drizzled on it. It was served with what looked like pizza bread rather than hummus, which wasn't too bad. The green olives were also pretty good, though overall this isn't something I'd order or want to eat again. This hummus is quite a ways below Sabra. The salad was very artistic-looking, but wasn't so great in flavor, particularly with the dressing. Everyone has probably seen how bacon grease left in a pan will congeal and turn white. If you haven't, that's what it does and it's kind of gross. This was what covered all the bacon I got, though it was overall mostly a small amount. It was, however, mostly fat. So, fatty bacon covered in congealed bacon grease. Totally appetizing. In fact, I have to keep wiping the drool off my fingers so as not to short out my keyboard as I type this. *Ahem.* The trout that was supposed to be on my salad was suspiciously salmon-y also...the watercress I could have (happily) done without, as it lent an oddball feel to an already sort of weird salad. though the Gorgonzola was quite good. This wasn't quite all the way up to the ranking of so-so and I would definitely not consider ordering or eating this again. This is one of the huge advantages of Restaurant Week, in my view, the chance to somewhat cheaply sift through restaurants you've not heard of and maybe wouldn't ordinarily visit. There was nothing that would entice me to visit here again, aside from a bourbon I've yet to try. At $12/oz., I don't see myself rushing there to try it either. I don't know that I would avoid the place entirely, but it definitely would not be on my list of choices, either.

We liked this place. The prices were a bit steep, but the burger, the excellent pear salad, and the butternut squash ravioli were honestly worth it. Being a baker myself, I'd say the bread offered wasn't very good and rather strange- white bread that didn't seem to be flavorful. The ambiance it a bit strange being on the second floor and sort of split into two seating areas, but it was quiet and nice. If they improved their bread, which to me would be rather easy to do, then they'd definitely have a 5 star.

We started Restaurant Week at a place my husband and I habe been excited to try. Unfortunately it was an awful experience. We picked the 3 course meal for $15. The appetizer choices were okay and besides the fact the soup was about half a cup worth it was pretty good. I ordered the lamb gyro and my husband the pasta. The Gyro was shameful. It had no flavor or sauce, just a huge pita with very little inside. The pasta (which they are known for) had no flavor and was so thick you couldn't even enjoy it. I was hoping dessert would save this experience but I was wrong. The cheesecake tasted like it came from a box, or better yet a fast food drive-thru. I am so glad my husband and I tried this place on a discount. I would have been even more upset if I would have paid full price. Even though most of our dishes went back to the kitchen less than a quarter eaten our waiter did nothing to make it right. My first experience at Ogden Restaurant week was a huge disappointment.

I honestly can't even understand how there are all of these positive reviews of this restaurant. This has got to be one of the biggest rip offs I have ever experienced. The "winter root vegetable puree" soup was actually just potatoes and cheese, the $28 salmon dish was a small overcooked piece of fish over dry from-a-box rice pilaf and included none of the other ingredients listed for the dish on the menu (the claim was pan seared, miso glaze, fried quinoa, radicchio, bok choy & radish kimchi, citrus beurre blanc- SUCH A JOKE) and their $18 burger was TINY! and cooked well when I asked for medium. Our server was, besides being creepy, was wearing a hat which is not really acceptable at a restaurant like this, and he insisted on pouring our beers in to a glass- when all the beer didn't fit in the glass he just took the bottle with 2 ounces left in it with him. Overall horrible experience.

Found this place on our three day stay in Ogden. From what We were able to find this has got to be the best place in town. The food was fantastic, the service was impeccable and we will definitely return. If you are looking for a date night dinner location or for some fine dining in Ogden, check this place out.

The food was wonderful and the service was good. The chef came over to ensure what I ordered can be made gluten free. He also stopped by to ask me about my food. I ordered the elk which was perfectly prepared with fresh mixed vegetables. I also had their strawberry salad with was fresh and crisp. For desert, I had the apricot/mint and avocado gelato. I would give them 5 stars except that their were a couple of missteps with the staff where I was served gluten items like the waffle with the gelato. I would definitely recommend!

TJ at the bar knows his business. We took in some smoked bourbon just passing through and he ensured that we will be returning next week with friend to do the full experience. Also got some fig balsamic which is just crazy good. The smoked bourbon was expected to be some homemade liquid smoke alternative splashed in an otherwise good bourbon, it was not that at all. It was expertly crafted and a very entertaining and show worthy creation.

The atmosphere is the exact same as the last restaurant, Jasoh. They have added some olive oils and pasta that they make and sell. The food is really good and really expensive. Besides the price the food was very good. The desserts were the worst that our entire table have ever ordered. The cheese cake didn't have any crust and our waiter admitted that it fell off and served it anyway. Service is what will kill this restaurant. It's SLOW. 2 1/2 hours from start to finish. No refills on drinks. No personality from the staff and did I mention that it was SLOW. Amazing food and a fun place that is centered on serving mixed drinks and good bistro type food. Unfortunately if they don't change then it's another two star expensive place to never eat at again.

I read about Hearth in the Salt Lake magazine and since I was attending a conference at the convention center, it was a good opportunity to try it. I went for lunch (but they serve entire dinner menu at lunchtime). Service: The server was excellent (knowledgeable about menu, checking-in at appropriate times, etc.). He was the only server at the time I was there. There were 3 other tables in the restaurant and he handled all of them efficiently and with personal attention. Food: I ordered the bone marrow appetizer and it was HUGE (3 giant bones filled with lots of marrow and served with several pieces of their house made bread). It had a sun-dried tomato spread over the bone marrow which wasn't my favorite (I'd personally prefer just the marrow salted with some fresh herbs but can see why some might like the tomato addition). It also wasn't seasoned well enough and I had to ask for some sea salt on the side. Despite missing the mark on seasoning, it was good. I also ordered the pig & fig pizza which was also big for this type of pizza. I'm not sure where the small portion and too expensive complaints are coming from. The bone marrow was $15- that's actually cheap for the amount of marrow served. The pizza was loaded with good quality cheese, Creminelli prosciutto, as well an appropriate amount of figs- none of those ingredients are cheap- the food is worth the cost. I also had a glass of pinot noir they were featuring which was also very good. Oh, their olive oils and balsamic vinegars are really good! I usually don't like balsamic on my food as it tends to overpower everything else but theirs were mild and added to the taste of the oil and the food. Give this place a try!

An Ogden fav! Great ambiance, great service, good drink selection, awesome food. I love that you can get an other-than-generic meal here & it tastes amazing! Handmade fresh pasta. And many items are made to purchase, yum.

One of my favorite restaurants in Ogden. I am always impressed with any of the food I order and also love their mixed drink creations with balsamics from their large selection of balsamic vinegars sold in the restaurant. We always receive great service and get special tastes of new things they are testing out for the menu.

This was a nice place to dine. I came here for the fatbikesummit and fatbike race. The Beer and Wine was great. The menu and food great. The flavored vinegar with bread and OMG lava cake so yummy and great service. When I come back to Ogden this will be a must stop.

I haven't been here since the name change. The menu is a little different and the food is still the same quality as before. You will spend a lot but you will also get the best service. I liked it a lot. They still have all sorts of olive oil and vinegar you can buy to take home. The decor is great inside and all the staff I interacted with were very friendly. We started of with a pear salad for my wife and I ordered the tomato soup bisque. The salad had the best ingredients but I didn't like the dressing as much. I'm not taking a star away just for that. My wife liked it a lot. The soup was really good. It was thicker than others I've tried but it was good nonetheless. For my main dish I ordered the bacon wrapped beef tender with a balsamic reduction on top of potatoes with sine veggies in the side. I requested it be medium well. They hit it spot on! I don't like my dish swimming in blood and this was perfect. It had a warm pink inside, the best flavor, and was really moist. My wife ordered the fish and chips and she loved that as well. The chips were homemade potato chips rather than fries, which you normally see. Overall a great experience. Leave the kids at home and enjoy a nice night with your significant other, they will thank you.

Service was very slow, could have just been my server as others did not seem to be so slow. Got there at 7:50 PM left at 9:40. The food is an acquired taste, if you want A1, BBQ sauce, or ketchup this is not for you. I would not call this fancy food, perhaps odd? Do not bring kids, they will not like it. The desserts were good. The prices are outrageous for the portions and type of food.

I am a regular at Hearths after discovering it soon after moving from Seattle. My wife and I frequent whenever we can get a date night. My criteria for restaurants is a bit different in terms of priority than some of the folks who have commented. 1. Service is outstanding, great staff, super attentive, knowledgeable and fun. Never had a bad service experience. 2. Booze. From top shelf bourbons, wines and beers - great selection and AJ is super knowledgeable so I learn something new every time. Get the smoked bourbon. 3. Atmosphere - entry bites but it adds to the quirk. Once inside the speakeasy theme is cool. Hint - go right, ask for a booth. 4. Food - fresh with a quirk on ingredients. Chef is not liberal with spices so I can see where folks would rate as bland. The Top Shoulder is my go-to. Is not expensive based on where lived before but definitely for Ogden / SLC. All in all (based on my priority order) the best in Ogden.

What a let down.. They used Valentines Day as an excuse to charge a ridiculous amount for a 7 course meal that the chef phoned in. Had read great things, we weren't impressed. I don't mind paying for great food. What's tough, is paying this much for tiny portions of decent food that probably cost a total of $10 in ingredients. We won't be back.

Absolutely worthy of my next visit! Food was delicious. I recently ordered the Berkshire Pork 2 Ways while my friend had the Utah Elk Oso Buco...Wow!!! Both dishes were delicious. I enjoyed my order so much that I was savoring every single bite. Considering that I can hold my own in a kitchen when it comes to cooking, It's hard for me to enjoy most restaurant food. Furthermore, I rarely rave about the food I order at a restaurant unless the flavors were just THAT good. Definitely going back for another visit soon to try some of the other items available on their menu. Food here definitely tastes as good as it looks. Flavors are not dialed down. hearth25.com/#!menu/cfvg If you are looking to go somewhere good in the Ogden Utah area and not looking to go to an Applebee's or Texas Roadhouse, or a Pizza House type of place, give this restaurant a try. Every penny well spent...Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable with the menu as well. BONUS!!!

I had a wonderful dining experience at Hearth on 25th tonight. We had an amazing view and our server, Christopher, was extremely knowledgeable, confident and proud of their menu. We again had the charcuterie and I would order this consistently. There was a lovely blueberry balsamic, local honey, Beehive cheeses Big Johns cajun and Teahive, creamy blue, wild boar salami, piccante salami, something I think called felino salami, and my favorite Calabrese pepperoni. There was cashew butter and a plum puree, herb evoo and fig gastrique ($18). The only really far reaching suggestion I have is that if I were serving this at home, I would include fresh apple slices and maybe some red grapes. I think I also would prefer my house made sourdough lightly toasted. Next we had a lovely hot curry soup ($4). A pear, chevre, pistachio salad ($7) and finally the Pig and Fig hearth bread with all its glorious gruyere, prosciutto, onions, dried figs, drizzle of balsamic and sprinkle of rosemary. Grasping at straws, reconstituting the figs and a sprinkle of arugula might be nice. I washed this down with a delicious dirty vodka martini. Someday I will actually venture past the small plates to the entrees. This time around, I found most of the items on Hearth's menu to be inspired. It appears they have made some tweaks and no doubt everything is artful and thoughtful and amazingly scrumptious. I look forward to trying the Wild Mushroom Raviolo, Utah Berkshire Pork 2 ways, Espresso Elk and Waffles, and what sounds like the best cheeseburger one could ever have. I think I read on their blog about some of the vendors they source from including a 100% women owned lamb and veal farm. There's also an entry about the healthful benefits of yak meat. So Hearth on 25th has taken its throne as my favorite restaurant in Ogden.

Late afternoon lunch on a Saturday afternoon. An unexpectedly pleasant surprise. Service. Salad. Entree chosen by server Timothy at my request. Nailed all three. This redeemed 25th Street eating after a very disappointing recent lunch @258 down the street. Still don't get those high ratings.

We come here a lot and love it. They know we want the French dip before we sit down. Such a great place to have a nice dinner. Always makes me feel like I am in NYC because it just has that vibe. Stop reading reviews and go eat here already.

My mom and mother-in-law both love this place, so I've been here numerous times over the years. They are constantly changing the restaurant (name, location, menu, etc.), but it's stayed fairly the same. They sell all kinds of different flavors of olive oils and balsamic vinegars which I HIGHLY recommend. However, the food is overpriced and the service is soooo slow. The last time I was here my mom and I waited 1.5 hrs for LUNCH! And we were one of only two groups in the restaurant. I do enjoy their food; it's very tasty! But I can't always justify the price for what you get, so it's never on my list of go-to places.

Excellent use of local meat and vegetables. Gold standard of quality and service in Ogden. Also I enjoyed how they make fresh pasta you can take home and their balsamic variety you can take home too.

The 'Pig and Fig Flatbread' and truffle fries were AMAZING! The portions were TOO large. I know most people don't complain about getting too much but sometimes less is more. I would rather get half the portion and pay less. Maybe I'm just a fat kid who wants to sample everything. I ordered the elk and waffles with HIGH expectations as the description sounded delicious. My hubby ordered the Berkshire pork two ways. Everything was cooked well but both dishes were overly sweet it was off putting. I didn't even finish half my meal because I couldn't handle the sweetness anymore. The elk and pork WERE very tender. I appreciate balsamic but it is sweet and must be used lightly. We often drizzle it over ice cream so to have so much on our savory entrees was dissappointing. My mom ordered the filet au poivre. That was incredible and the rest of our party wished we had ordered the more common entree.

After leaving a different restaurant for turning us off before we were even seated, my better half and I decided to take our Saturday date night to Hearth on 25th (our first time here). We were not disappointed! From the start, the customer service was much better than the place we just left and it only got better from there. The waitstaff was super attentive, from seating to drinks to the main event to dessert - no complaints. Started off with a great whiskey sour, which was an indicator that this place was gonna be good. The food was just great. I have a hard time passing up anything with truffles, so the truffle frites were an easy choice of appetizer. Yum! We almost passed on the bread so we wouldn't get full but thankfully opted to try it. They serve it with their house olive oil and balsamic, which at 9 out of 10 restaurants would be pretty run of the mill but they have a fantastic house-made selection. We had blood orange olive oil with dark chocolate balsamic -WOW! Heavenly. We had to restrain ourselves so we didn't get full too fast. Main courses were the special (shrimp scampi with spaghetti) for her and the elk for me. Both were very good and flavorful. Huge shrimp for her dish, making the special price seem like a deal. We almost passed on dessert, too, but thankfully we thought better of it and tried the cheesecake. It was the best course of the night - worthy of six stars. If you've had great cheesecake, you know how it can be just divine...theirs is up there. We will definitely return!

Came here for Ogden Restaurant Week 04/19/2014 Highlights: Truffle fries with garlic aioli, bacon wrapped shoulder tender of beef (the sauces were 'meh', but the beef, polenta, and spinach were good) and chocolate ice cream. The blood orange and chocolate chip gelato, according to my dining companions, was grainy and just not very good. Service was pretty good, and the ambience was quite nice. Capped off a really great day in Ogden!

Mediocre. That includes service, food and specialty drinks. I've tried this place multiple times and I appreciate the use of fresh/local ingredients but they fall short in transforming them into memorable dishes. The Lavender Sparkle is good but again not mind blowing. The entire staff seem like they'd rather be somewhere else and the speed of food delivery is very slow no matter what time of day. For the price and hype there is definitely room for improvement.

Service was great. Atmosphere was great. Great selection of wine and cocktails Antipasto was good but pricy for size. Food was not up to par for cost. Inconsistent. The bison was so overlooked it was like leather, veggies just so so, and sweet potato purée was like baby food. Pear and Gorgonzola ravioli was good but not great. Strawberry shortcake style dessert was not good at all Chocolate decadence dessert was just a brownie. Always willing to try a place twice but we will try the Hearth side of the menu (burgers and flatbread styled pizzas), and not the finer dining entrees.
