So amazing! I had low expectations going late on a Saturday night, but Golden Jade proved me WAY wrong. Loved everything about it, even though I'm a bit of a Chinese food snob. Loved the speed, the service, the food; all around a great place. Highly recommended.

We stopped by this restaurant on our way home from helping some friends move and we were greeted by the owners who were rolling egg rolls. They allowed me to watch and showed me their technique and I loved the place immediately. The egg rolls are crispy and cooked fresh with your order. I had the spicy beef with hot and sour soup and it was delicious. My husband was less a fan of the sweet and sour chicken because it was heavily battered so if that is a problem for you, stick to a stir fried dish that isn't battered. The freshly cooked egg rolls are the best I have ever had at a Chinese restaurant - crispy and not the least bit greasy. Highly recommend this place for a quick and delicious lunch.

Really nice employees and fast service. I had the Mongolian beef which was actually quite spicy. Along with beef the dish also had lots yellow and green onions along with carrots. The ham fried rice and spring roll were not bad either.

Recommend very highly, food was great and portions were huge. With 2 teenage boys that can eat a lot, portion size is important. A great place to take the whole family.

We went because of the great reviews here. We add ours to the good ones. The service is great, the food was fresh and crunchy where appropriate rather than mooshy like you get elsewhere. Speedy service too. Waitress was attentive and regardless of the small water cups we never ran out. The only thing is the atmosphere is not what you would expect from a sitdown place but the service and quality make up for it. You can call ahead for takeout or wait for it there. All around great experience!
Best Chinese takeout in Ogden. One dinner combo can feed two. Always fast and fresh. Dinner includes choice of entree (I like the vegetables the best), sweet and sour chicken, white or fried rice, eggroll, and soup.

This is one of the better Chinese food places in Ogden. I cannot say this is the best I ever had, but it did satisfy my Chinese food cravings for the day. The portions are HUGE. We ordered two of their dinner combinations, and we had enought leftovers to feed three people the following day! Egg roll, fried wonton, egg flour soup, ham fried rice and your entree all for under $10 bucks.

Chinese takeout is a staple of Americans everywhere. Sure, you can go to P.F. Chang's and throw down $50 for highbrow Asian cuisine, but the true American-Chinese experience comes in two forms: either in a small restaurant where you might be the only one who speaks English, or from Chinese takeout. When I was a little kid, anything that was packed in that odd-looking white carton was instantly more appealing, because I knew that older, cooler kids who could afford to make their own culinary choices had a delicious meal packed inside the Chinese version of an albino gift box. The exotic flavors are not be ignored, and may have my top seed in the ethnic food rankings. Fortunately for Ogden, a takeout gem is found on South Harrison, and its name is Golden Jade. This is not your average takeout spot. It boasts some serious flavor and gusto. A family business, Golden Jade has been serving the Ogden community for as long as I remember. A friendly waitstaff and informal style of dining makes for a no-pretense kind of dining excursion. While the paper plates and plastic cutlery may be a turnoff, it shows that good food needs no frills to stand out. I'll start with my personal favorite, the Szechuan pork. This pork is what all Asian food wants to be when it grows up. The smoky-sweet flavor of the pork lends itself perfectly to mildly spicy, blissfully sweet Szechuan sauce. Their frying has just the right amount of breading to meat. You might think that's an odd comment, but for those of you who have bitten into your sweet-and-sour chicken to find 90 percent bread, you know that it's disappointing, more like a sweet-and-sour hushpuppy. The Szechuan pork has my highest recommendations. Just as good as the pork is their house noodle soup, served in a giant bowl heaped with chicken, beef, char sil and shrimp in a deliciously rich beef broth with noodles. This Asian soup cocktail is one of my favorite remedies to a cold. Not because I think it has any holistic benefits at all, but because I get to eat the soup, and that alone makes me feel better. I think I'd get sick just to eat the delectable meaty goodness. My wife would be irked if I didn't mention her favorite, and I will, because in the experimentation of Chinese food comparison, I think it's a good control. The sweet-and-sour chicken is perfectly balanced, leaving any hushpuppy chicken out in the cold. The sauce is generously ladled over the light, flaky chicken, making young and old foodies swoon. All of this, served with a wonderful ham fried rice, makes Golden Jade hard to beat. Possibly the best thing on the menu are their crab wontons. Golden Jade once catered a student recruitment summit at WSU, and I saw political, charming people turn into starving, crazed baboons after the first bite. People were hoarding plates of the stuff back to their respective colleges, and rightfully so. BYU doesn't have anything like this, and I don't think there are any Chinese people in Logan. Get the wontons. They're worth every penny. Some people feel like a kid with cotton candy, some with dolls. I feel like a kid when I pop open an albino gift box of Golden Jade. It's like Christmas. Only saucier.

My wife loves this place but I've always called it golden poopoo because their food tends to not play well with my body. The one good thing is that the portions are big and the food is cheap. Other than that there is nothing special. The service is weird and they serve you on paper plates with plastic silverware.

This place is great for lunch and dinner. They work hard to make a nice meal ever time we go in.

Love this place. Started going with some of the guys from work for lunch. They have awesome lunch specials at great prices, especially for the amount of food you get. My favorite that I get pretty frequently is the General Tao's Chicken. They also have the best Egg Drop soup I have ever had. The service has also been fantastic every time I've been there. I've had the same server pretty much every time I have been there and she has been awesome. They have always been very quick about getting the food out as well. Definitely recommend Golden Jade for some of the Best Chinese food!

Golden Jade is my fav spot for Chinese food along the Wasatch Front. It is a no frills establishment but the food will make you a fan. It is a small restaurant located in strip mall just North of Javier's on Harrison Blvd. Inside there are a handful of tables that sit 4. The lunch specials are great and just $5-$6. I got a heaping serving of spicy beef, fried rice, and some delic hot n sour soup. When I ordered takeout they didn't give me any soup but I had more than enough food. The spicy beef was actually spicy and I had to refill my drink a few times. The entrees are not dripping with excess sauce like so man Chinese places I go too. I am sure there are places with more authentic entrees but for you basic Gringo Chinese food go to Golden Jade

Great and friendly service. Also very speedy on making the food. Large portions as well. You could easily share a dinner special. Oh and really good crab cheese wontons!! Will for sure be back!! Probably our new favorite Chinese food restaurant!

This is a great place for take out. Dining in they serve food on paper plates. My sweet and sour chicken breading fell off the chicken. The moisture ends up on the table because the food is served on paper plates. I worried if I didn't eat fast there would be holes in my plate and my food all over the table. It is obvious they don't want to serve you but be fast and get people in and out. They are a great fast low quality joint. Drinking from such a small cup and then not filling water til the end tells me they aren't interested in customer service. They do well with their to go customers. I can tell this is a favorite place to go just not for me. I can find better quality for the same price elsewhere.

I will always love you so much Golden Jade. Thanks for all the good times and memories. Been going here since high school with all the guys and I will never change my allegiance. Portions are always phenomenal. I've been getting the sesame chicken for years but everything else is great too. The owners and their family are awesome as well. Go here.

A great family-owned little Chinese place and kind of cheap for what you get. Of course the crab cheese wontons are great, must-get with every meal. My family loves getting take-put from here because of the yummy fried rice and schezuan chicken and again it is very cheap!

A schedule change and missing a shin-dig with fellow Yelpers lead me down the path of a large adult beverage and "someone else is cooking tonight" aka Chinese takeaway... We haven't really been big into Chinese since we left New York, but after consulting the Yelp-of-all-Knowledge we tried the Golden Jade. We had a Beef Lo Mien and Chicken with Cashew Nuts. Firstly, it was all pretty tasty, but I found having to search for the cashews amongst the plethora of veggies quite irksome (reason for the lost star). That, in itself, is not a deal-breaker. We'll be back.

Hands down best Chinese in Ogden area. Many tasty options with very little breading and thick white meat. Not that 66% bread 34% dark chicken you get everywhere else. Oh, and they LOAD your plate. Try the crab cheese wontons!! Egg drop soup is best around. Recommend the house special chicken , general tao chicken, orange chicken, BBQ pork lo mein...and on and on. Give it a shot. EXTREMELY FAST TOO! You will be amazed. Very casual.

Don't go here looking for fine atmosphere. Just go for the amazing food and lots of it. You will be able to afford to dine with the family, and everyone will love the flavors. I'm really glad I found this place.

I've tried all the Chinese places in Ogden and this is definitely the best quality in town. But I go there for take out only. I wouldn't eat there it's tiny and cramped and hot and no beer or wine. Call ahead and pick it up on your way back to the hotel or house.

SO good. My go-to for Chinese food in Ogden. The prices are good, the owners are great--I came in the other day a few bucks short on my take out without realizing it, and they opened a tab for me. Couldn't recommend more highly. :) the ham fried rice is the best I've had in Ogden! All the food is good. :)

I absolutely love Golden Jade. It is by far my fiance and I's favorite restaurant to eat at in town. The pricing is very reasonable especially for their lunch specials and their servings are very generous. Food has never been anything below fantastic. Their crab wontons are to die for. The only reason I gave them a 4 is because they serve on paper plates... a little tacky and because the customer service is very do it yourselfy they leave a pitcher of water at your table and serve you and pretty much leave you be. Can not express enough how much I love them. HIGHLY recommend

I'm concerned that so many people think this place is 5 star worthy....it is so disgusting. First, we walked in and got in line. One of the employees yelled if we were staying or going. We said staying so she walked us to the back corner and didn't say a word. Sat us down, no menus. My wife got up to get a menu and the lady abruptly told her she was going to get them. So she brings the menus and literally TOSSED them to us and walked off. She came back like a minute later for the order. I told her we were still deciding and she was gone in a flash. We get the food in under 5 min including the appetizer and main food, which shows they do not make fresh to order like some of our favorites places. We never did receive the egg drop soup (which is probably a blessing). The egg rolls were so nasty (I'm not picky with Chinese either) and the food left little to desire. We asked for water and got these tiny ass foam cups you would take camping and then she never refilled it. Instead, she got her own food and ate her little heart out in a nearby table. So professional...I would absolutely never come here again. The service is worse than the food.

This is a teeny, tiny restaurant in Ogden. And when I say small, I mean small! You can see the entire kitchen and what is going on in it. It's about the size of a large master bedroom closet. The dining area is also pretty small. I always order To-Go because I never know if there will be a place to sit as the restaurant is pretty popular. When you order your food is ready in less than ten minutes. I don't know how they do it! It's hot and fresh and never tastes like it's been sitting under a heat lamp. They must have some lightning fast cooks or something. If you like large portions of pretty good Chinese food...this place is for you! Everything I got was good every time I've been here. Crab and cheese wontons are really yummy but I don't really have to tell you that since every other reviewer has pretty much said it already. I liked the egg flower soup. It has a lot of corn but I think it makes it yummy and more hearty and filling. I was disappointed in the spring roll that came with the combo. I thought it would be an egg roll instead. The house special chicken is good if you like some spice! Fried rice is pretty typical. They threw in a scoop of Sweet and Sour chicken just for kicks I guess and it was delicious! BBQ pork lo mein is typical. Wish it had a little more flavor. Just remember...when you order a lunch order, it is the size of a lunch order for Godzilla. You can easily split it. They really pack that food into those styrofoam containers! I highly recommend Golden Jade due to the cost of a lot of pretty good Chinese food. And if you're in a hurry...don't worry...they will have it ready fast!

OK, I'm not at all familiar with Ogden or the eating establishments in the area so when we found ourselves in the area around dinner time and hungry we turned to Yelp! It happened that we were just down the street from a good recommendation called Golden Jade. We quickly turned into the parking lot and saw the small restaurant and decided to give it a try! Immediately we were warmly greeted and seated at the table of our choice. This is a very small place with an open concept but it was very nice and clean. The server was very helpful and helped us with some choices. We did a family style meal for my husband and myself and we chose to get the schezuan beef and also the general tso chicken. Very quickly our eggdrop soup was brought to our table. It was very flavorful and loved the added chicken and corn that they put in there! The food arrived piping hot and it was really fast. The ham fried rice is delicious! We also got fried shrimp and egg rolls with our meals and both were really fantastic! Both entrees were spot on with their flavors and the portions are huge! I haven't had really great Chinese food in awhile and I'm thrilled with our choice last night! The owner spoke to us and she has been there for 10 years and also has a place in Logan! We don't get up to Ogden very often but I tried to convince her to open up a place near us in West Jordan! ha ha Seriously some great food, quick and kind service and loved how it was family owned and operated! If we are ever in the area we will certainly go there! Golden Jade was delicious!

Favorite Chinese restaurant in the Ogden area by far! Fast, fresh and consistently delicious food. The Beef & Broccoli and the Szechuan Chicken dinner combinations are my husband and I's two favorites. The portions are so large that with everything you get with the 2 dinner combinations it feeds us both up to 2 or 3 times! *It's a great value! This place is eerily fast. Like, call in your order and it is ready to go in less than 10 minutes fast. I thought that would take away from the quality but found that the Hot n Spicy truly was hot n spicy. The Tso's chicken was fantastic and the wife loved the Kung Pao chicken. The crab wontons were a win but the egg rolls were a bit bland. The dining room is small and eating in might be a challenge on a busy night. IT appeared most of the food was coming from steam tables but the pace of the business kept everything we ordered pretty fresh. Pricing is extremely reasonable and the staff friendly. Parking is a little rough on a Saturday night but worth the hassle. An online menu was a little difficult to find as well.

Very good Chinese food. Not a very best I've had pretty close and very fast. Good sized servings , good prices but don't expect fine China everything a served on paper plates

Golden Jade is AWESOME!!! I always get the General Tao chicken and substitute the eggroll for crab wonton's. I've never left here hungry OR dissatisfied with my meal. Always delicious!! If you haven't tried this place.. DO IT!!!

We were a bit disappointed after eating here. The food was edible but not good. I have to wonder if the high ratings are because of the huge serving sizes.

I've tried all the Chinese places in Ogden and this is definitely the best quality in town. But I go there for take out only. I wouldn't eat there it's tiny and cramped and hot and no beer or wine. Call ahead and pick it up on your way back to the hotel or house.

This is my favorite restaurant in town. Just try it, you will fall in love with it. Try the General Tao's chicken.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

(4)Jason N.
Really nice employees and fast service. I had the Mongolian beef which was actually quite spicy. Along with beef the dish also had lots yellow and green onions along with carrots. The ham fried rice and spring roll were not bad either.
(4)Jason H.
Recommend very highly, food was great and portions were huge. With 2 teenage boys that can eat a lot, portion size is important. A great place to take the whole family.
(5)Chris B.
(5)Mike M.
Really good! Unremarkable speed. I had the lo main with bbq pork and my wife had the general chicken. Both were very good with large portions. Easily could share one entrée and be full. Will come back here again for sure.
(5)Derek W.
Best Chinese takeout in Ogden. One dinner combo can feed two. Always fast and fresh. Dinner includes choice of entree (I like the vegetables the best), sweet and sour chicken, white or fried rice, eggroll, and soup.

Great and friendly service. Also very speedy on making the food. Large portions as well. You could easily share a dinner special. Oh and really good crab cheese wontons!! Will for sure be back!! Probably our new favorite Chinese food restaurant!
(5)Denise L.
(1)Eric F.
I will always love you so much Golden Jade. Thanks for all the good times and memories. Been going here since high school with all the guys and I will never change my allegiance. Portions are always phenomenal. I've been getting the sesame chicken for years but everything else is great too. The owners and their family are awesome as well. Go here.
(5)Sara A.
A great family-owned little Chinese place and kind of cheap for what you get. Of course the crab cheese wontons are great, must-get with every meal. My family loves getting take-put from here because of the yummy fried rice and schezuan chicken and again it is very cheap!
(5)Jonnie A.
Friendly staff, delicious food! We had the Kung Pao Chicken dinner, Lemon Chicken Dinner, and Potstickers. The restaurant is small and clean. You can see them cooking the food in the back of the kitchen.
(5)Vikkie N.

(5)Raya K.
(4)Dan B.
Can't say much about the service as we ordered take out. The food was pretty damn tasty in my book. Best I've had in Ogden so far. Fried rice rocks!
(4)Lo J.
(1)Madison C.
The service here is incredibly poor, however the food is UNREAL!!! Best Chinese food in Northern Utah.. By far!
(4)Bethany R.
(4)Keela D.
Good restaurant, the best fried rice!!!! I love coming to this place! The portion sizes are large for the prob you pay. Totally worth trying out. Go now and have a meal. It's so worth the trip!
(4)Andrew O.
The service was fantastic. The food was really good. We ordered the Kung Pao Chicken, Orange Chicken and Vegetable Lo Mein and all were good. I highly recommend this restaurant.

(5)Rachel L.
Also: Their Mongolian beef, Egg flower soup and Egg rolls are very tasty. *Only small complaints are I wish it was closer to our house and that they were open on Sundays! That's it though. Love this place'a must try!
(5)Nikki K.
Tons of food for the price!
(4)Travis B.

We love golden jade. Get the combos. Comes with your main meal, egg roll, wonton, fries rice and then some sweet and sour chicken! We always get a veggie dish too, it's my favorite. They are fast and give you tons of food. I think they are excellent for the price. They are our go to for Chinese.

Maybe I came on the wrong day, or maybe I'm just a food snob from the coast, but my food was super gross.

Can't say much about the service as we ordered take out. The food was pretty damn tasty in my book. Best I've had in Ogden so far. Fried rice rocks!

The service here is incredibly poor, however the food is UNREAL!!! Best Chinese food in Northern Utah.. By far!

A great family-owned little Chinese place and kind of cheap for what you get. Of course the crab cheese wontons are great, must-get with every meal. My family loves getting take-put from here because of the yummy fried rice and schezuan chicken and again it is very cheap!

Good restaurant, the best fried rice!!!! I love coming to this place! The portion sizes are large for the prob you pay. Totally worth trying out. Go now and have a meal. It's so worth the trip!

The service was fantastic. The food was really good. We ordered the Kung Pao Chicken, Orange Chicken and Vegetable Lo Mein and all were good. I highly recommend this restaurant.
(4)Jamie M.

Go here.
(5)Jason H.
Recommend very highly, food was great and portions were huge. With 2 teenage boys that can eat a lot, portion size is important. A great place to take the whole family.
(5)Chris B.
(5)The Salt Project U.
(5)Sawyer M.
Maybe I came on the wrong day, or maybe I'm just a food snob from the coast, but my food was super gross.
(2)Jonnie A.
Friendly staff, delicious food! We had the Kung Pao Chicken dinner, Lemon Chicken Dinner, and Potstickers. The restaurant is small and clean. You can see them cooking the food in the back of the kitchen.
(5)Vikkie N.
(4)Steve C.
(5)Mark N.
Don't go here looking for fine atmosphere. Just go for the amazing food and lots of it. You will be able to afford to dine with the family, and everyone will love the flavors. I'm really glad I found this place.
(4)Danyelle S.
Very good Chinese food. Not a very best I've had pretty close and very fast. Good sized servings , good prices but don't expect fine China everything a served on paper plates

(2)Matt T.
Golden Jade is AWESOME!!! I always get the General Tao chicken and substitute the eggroll for crab wonton's. I've never left here hungry OR dissatisfied with my meal. Always delicious!! If you haven't tried this place.. DO IT!!!
(5)Corey K.
Good Chinese at good prices. Takeout is always perfect with no missing items or order problems.
(4)Leann B.
We were a bit disappointed after eating here. The food was edible but not good. I have to wonder if the high ratings are because of the huge serving sizes.
(2)Roaming E.
I've tried all the Chinese places in Ogden and this is definitely the best quality in town. But I go there for take out only. I wouldn't eat there it's tiny and cramped and hot and no beer or wine. Call ahead and pick it up on your way back to the hotel or house.
(5)Luis R.
This is my favorite restaurant in town. Just try it, you will fall in love with it. Try the General Tao's chicken.
(5)Sylvia C.
(4)Dreamgirl K.
Food is okay not so great but portions are good. So much to eat.

Great food and portions. Always enough for dinner and lunch the next day.
