5 Stars ***** all the way!! What a neighborhood treasure! Wonderful breakfasts, first class Thai food, to-die-for Pho, and such friendly owners and an incredibly awesome staff (love Elysium!). We have eaten here regularly over the past several years, and now we understand they are retiring! Although we wish them well in this new chapter of life, we are panicked that we will never find a restaurant we enjoy so much! If you ever decide to come out of retirement, we will toast your return!!! For those of you coming down to give these good folks the send-off they deserve, may I recommend the red curry? It is by far the best I have ever had and I am already having withdrawls at the thought of not having it regularly!

Wonderful Thai food, it's very high quality and I keep going back. I have not been disappointed in anything other then the building. It looks like a hole in the ground in the diner. It kind of is, but it has quality where it counts. The beer is great & great price.

So sad to drive by and see this torn down today. A sad day for Ogden and northern Utah.

Good food, friendly service. I had the teriyaki Philly, it was good not a huge amount of meat and the sauce tasted like it was probably out of a bottle, fries were good but not extraordinary. The wife had a burger and had the same comments, good but not exceptional.

We came too early for me to be able to order a beer with my breakfast, but the draft selection is actually decent - they carry several Uinta brews including Cutthroat, Golden Spike, and BABA. They also have Blue Moon and Shock Top. I ordered a breakfast burger - Pastrami Burger with a fried egg on top - and jalapeño poppers as my side. The burger was a good size, and all the ingredients seemed fresh. The jalapeño poppers were good, and they give you about 10 - more generous than I was expecting for a side. We also got a teriyaki steak sandwich. The steak was good, but the sauce was too sweet. We will definitely be coming back to try the Asian menu - but that's not served until 1030am ..

Good value for the money. Close to Weber State. I have had the pad Thai two or three times and it is very good. I have had the green curry and enjoyed it also. The takeout service is fast. The table service is efficient and friendly. I have never seen it crowded when I've been in for dinner. My son also enjoyed the breakfast for dinner option. The decor is forgettable. However, what else would you expect from a Thai food restaurant next to the university?

Thai food or breakfast. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing!!! The breakfast here is a great thing. Rarely have to wait for a table an the service is always friendly and good. Standard fare with a good omelet selection, pancakes, ye old chicken fried steak, etc. If you are a bacon fan, this pace does it right. Thick cut, cooked under a press, and served crispy like it should be. The last part is hard to explain. Even the greasiest of greasy breakfast food comes out "not greasy." The C.F. Steak, sausage, bacon, all come out flavorful and without a trough of heart attack running off of it. You should make it a point to eat breakfast on the Eastside.

The service here left so much to be desired and I don't think I ask for too much. I had the Pho and it nothing to write home about, but I'd have it in a pinch. Even though it was quick, efficient, and filling, I was left with that "eh" feeling afterward.

East side Diner has a very diverse menu for sure but the food is Fantastic! I ordered the Green Curry and it was delicious. The portion was great and the Hot and Sour soup was excellent. I will be returning for sure. They have breakfast all day and awesome burgers and sides but don't forget the Thai food....so good. Don't pass this place up because it looks like a little hole in the wall. Really great food!

Clean, friendly staff, and good American breakfast. Love the crispy hashbrowns. Scones with honey butter were good. Don't let the outside dissuade you from giving this place a shot. I bet you won't regret it.

I have eaten Pad Thai EVERYWHERE. I kid you not, from coast to coast, I have yet to find a pad thai that comes close to Eastside. It is a slightly sweet, oh so savory medly of flavored and ingredients that puts all the others to shame. But they have so much more! Incredible curries, and wontons to die for. And waffles! This place looks like a sketchy mobile home. Don't be put off. It's Ogden's best kept secret.

Interesting little place. I've heard great things about their breakfast, but have only eaten there for the Thai. The red curry was surprisingly good. The place in general can't seem to decide what it wants to be, but the offerings are solid. Don't pass it up!

My FAVORITE thai restaurant in Ogden. Anything Thai on the menu is good. My favorite Curry suggestion: Pineapple curry(omg delish!). My favorite Noodle suggestion: Pad Thai(you can't go wrong!) The pad se yu is also awesome. They really load their dishes with lots of veggies. They have really good sandwiches and burgers also. The Philly sandwich is a favorite of mine. Breakfast is also amazing.

I have wanted to try the Thai food at Eastside diner for some time now. Maybe I was overly excited and my expectations too high? I ordered the green curry and my husband the Pan ang or Red curry. Mine was eeeh okay at best, tasted mostly of coconut milk and needed more "green curry" the dish was a pasty white color, I've had it several times before at other Thai restaurants and it was green. The rice tasted like cheap minute rice not the aromatic jasmine rice that I have come to expect and love at other Thai places in Ogden. The service was friendly a local college student I'm sure. The inside was clean, but the food rather disappointing ;( My recommendation is Ruhan Thai on 12th street or Bangkok Garden on Grant ave.

I have only had breakfast here and it has been good every time. Lots of food for your money.

We didn't try the American half of the menu at this American and Asian diner, but the green curry and pad ke mow were both very good. The place was practically vacant during lunch, possibly just because the service was so fast that the turnaround was high. The decor shows how many times the building has changed hands in the last few years. The neon is surely left over from when it was a sports-themed restaurant. If you want some good local thai, try this cheerful little family restaurant while you can.

Friendly service. Great breakfast. Very accommodating for those who don't do or avoid meat. Just let them know in advance. Good pad thai.

I think of this place as a well-kept secret. Not only do they have some of the best pad thai I've ever had, they also have some really great, fresh, non-greasy diner breakfast food. This proved to be the perfect combination last night for my husband and I when I wanted thai and he wanted oatmeal and toast. I haven't ventured much into the thai menu besides the pad thai, but it's a winner to me. Plus, there's a 10 percent student discount which put my plate (which came with soup, fried wontons, a spring roll, and rice) and his oatmeal and toast to about $12. Can't do much better than that for a cozy dinner on a cold night.

Came for some Thai food and was handed a menu of hamburgers. When I asked about the Thai food, they said it was only served on some days. I was very disappointed and left. Big waste of time.

Wanted to really like this place but was disappointed. Breakfast was bland and hash browns cold. Sausage was burnt. Service and coffee were very good.

Surprisingly delightful! The food actually tasted fresh, not greasy and old like we've come to expect from diners. The diner itself is clean and well kept.
