I'm not generally a fan of hotel restaurants, but we were exhausted and hungry so we decided to give this place a try. We got our menus and noticed that they serve a little bit of everything....which usually means a place isn't really good at anything. Not so here! Husband had the fajita salad and I had the fajita pita off the specials menu, both meals were very good! I thought their kids menu was a little on the pricey side but whatever....the whole tab was reasonable so it's all good.

Sun night, 7 pm reservations for 11 guests, a family get together. Our relatives from St George, Santa Monica, San Francisco area and Tucson. I can say this was literally a complete disaster for food and service. I have called the Manager with no Call Back. We came in an RV ordered appetizers for cocktail hour in the RV. The food never arrived after 1 hour we went into the restaurant and said we will have them at table. They arrived 20 minutes later in Styrofoam Boxes, as they were passed around the table they spilled on my sister. . We were all so happy to be together we got over waiting for our appetizers, We had 3 large orders of Prime Rib YUMMY. They informed us 1 hour after ordering that they were out of Prime Rib! Ok we all are easy we don't mind waiting 3 hours for dinner. They got the salad out just fine. One of our teens asked for 1 roll and was denied because it didn't come with her dinner. Not a problem she only waited 2 hours so far, what the problem? Food poisoning is the only memorable thing we can say came from the shrimp. Maybe the waitress complaining about short staff. With all the nice restaurants in Ogden we had to pick that joint? This was a 3 hour Dinner with bad food and a waitress who kept reminding us how tired she was. Check out Yelp I have given 40 plus restaurant reviews. I am not new at this. I always give the benefit of a doubt to restaurants as I know everybody has a bad night once in a while

We're traveling across country from Washington State headed towards Tennessee. We stayed overnight at the Holiday Inn Express which is right across the parking lot from Cactus Reds. We called in our order for pickup. They will deliver it to your room but they charge you a $2 fee and 15% gratuity. Needless to say, we opted to take the few extra steps and picked up the food on our own. I ordered the Cactus Reds specialty menu item, the pot roast. It came with your choice of a soup or salad and included a dinner roll. I opted for the salad with a white wine vinaigrette dressing. Once I got back to my room, I realized they forgot our dinner rolls. I walked back over and ended up having to wait a couple minutes. I wasn't thrilled about that considering I had hot food waiting for me in the room and now, it would be cold once I got back. Thankfully, the food was so delicious that I didn't care if it wasn't as hot once I returned to my room. The pot roast was tender and smothered in gravy with carrots and onions. The perfect roast combination if you ask me. It came with delicious steamed vegetables and a side item of your choice, I chose mashed potatoes and gravy. The dinner roll was nice and dense and it came with this delicious sweet butter. The white wine vinaigrette dressing for my salad was a sweet, light, topping but it had a small kick to it. After my experience, I would recommend this place to others. The only thing that prevented five stars was the lack of accuracy in our order.

Stayed at Comfort Suites and Cactus Red Southwest Grill is part of hotel. That is where breakfast is and is considered room service for hotel ...Ordered room service at 8:25, was told large party so kitchen was backed up would take 45 minutes...1 hour no food...called so sorry we had a large party told no more than 10 more minutes...20 minutes later cancelled food..going to bed without dinner

Three stars are for nice waitress. Otherwise, food was dismal--inedible chili, French dip beef ok, but bun was soggy.

Food was decent, but the service was abysmal. Multiple mistakes were made on orders and beers had to be ordered repeatedly, as they were forgotten.

Yellow Stone tour stop by @ Comfort Suit and finally easy to try this restaurant. Not to walk outside, this restaurant @ inside the hotel and then my group try two entree and one appetizer, $65 include tip. Grilled Shrimp & Grilled Steak, overall tasting and potion is very good then don't mind yelp review, I recommend this restaurant.

I had the spring salad. It was amazing. Very good. The wait staff was fast and efficient. I had a blonde woman tall, thin. She was very fast with the service and reccomended the salad. Great prices, great food, this is a no brainer. Eat here.

Very pleasant and efficient staff. Food was very good except the rarest prime rib they had was too well done for my taste. Vegetables were very good as we're their million dollar potatoes. Prices were reasonable. Felt just slightly rushed.

I enjoyed this stop. I can not say much as we only had nacho's and calamari. Calamari pieces were huge.

Cilantro filled salt lick... from the burritos to the nachos everything was horrid... it may be close by... but is is costly... in several ways. Wicked expensive, very slow, and that was for take out... we didn't even take them up on the room service options. There is a reason the only photo is of the view... it's the best past of the experience!

Came here thinking it was a Mexican food Restaurant. Food was ok

My wife and I stayed at the holiday inn express that is next door. It was pretty empty, but I ordered the pot roast dinner for my wife and I , to go. 15 min was all it took to get the food. It was delicious as we're the scalloped potatoes. For all those people that drove by, you missed a hearty dinner.

For the variety of food that is offered here, the good was all great!! Don't pass on dessert either!! Yummy!

We went here not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Had the beef quesadilla and it was great. Quaint setting and service was good. For people thinking its Mexican food it's not, but it is southwestern. Will definitely be back to try other things they have.

Great place to eat if after 10 hours on the road you just want to be out of the car, otherwise give it a pass. Mediocre food and worst service. Free breakfast in morning was better than the paid meal.

I was skeptical after reading the reviews, but because I was staying at the adjoining Comfort Suites and was hungry after driving all day I decided to give it a try. I ordered the fish and chips with a cup of clam chowder. The clam chowder was absolutely delicious. The fish and chips were also delicious as the batter was light and the cod was moist tender and hot. The chips were great as well. A dish of fresh vegetables came with the order and they were cooked to perfection. I was very pleasantly surprised and would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

It's bad drive on, very helpful waiter but Mickey Dee's is much better.
