If you are in the mood for Mexican this is the place to go. The service is exceptional and the food is wonderful. This was the best guacamole I've ever tasted in my life, and they make it right in front of you! I also had the pleasure of tasting some of their homemade salsas. I have returned time and again to eat their stupendous fish tacos. If you've never been here before, be sure to give it a try.

disappointing. food was bland very little flavor. After reading other reviews thought it might be a good place to go but wouldn't go back. With all of the Mexican restaurants around there are definately better choices. Staff was friendly and apologetic.

Very good food. A good place to go and eat, when you are looking for something good. The owners are polite and very attentive.

Pretty good place if you want a sit down Mexican restaurant. The Food is pretty good, and the service is great and fast. The usual salsa that they have is kind of bland, but if you ask they'll bring out a tray with a bunch of different kinds. I love to get the steak burritos. This place is definitely worth a try.

Good place to eat, I usually get the steak and fried shrimp as it was good the first time and every visit since. Not sure on the other Mexican offerings. The chips and fresh salsa are good too. Can get incredibly busy in Friday and Saturday nights, but the place is huge and great for groups if you reserve in advance. Outdoor dining and occasional live music are a nice touch on the comfortable patio area.

This restaurant did not disappoint. Driving through and it was recommended by the clerk at the hotel. Chips and salsa were at the table immediately. They give you a choice of spiciness. The green medium was delicious. My wife had the carne asada plate and ate it all. The little I tasted was great. I had the three item combination plate. All very good. Service was prompt, attentive and courteous. If I lived here I would come again, we travel this road often. Have found a new place to stop. Highly recommended.

Hopped in here for a quick lunch. Chips and Salsa are brought out when you sit down. They had their "normal" salsa and then they asked if we wanted "hot" salsa, which we told them we wanted. The normal salsa seems too sweet and almost like the base is tomato paste. Not real impressed. The "hot" salsa is a green salsa, I am assuming Jalapeno, and it was better, but not a lot of flavor, just heat. Needless to say we didn't finish the chips and salsa, wasn't too impressed. Both my wife and I ordered the Pozole. Now this was good. They brought it out with the setup (lime, onion, cilantro, and 3 tortillas), and it smelled good. My wife never had this soup before and was a little worried it was Menudo, she does not want to try that, but I think it is good. She liked her soup, and it was very filling where she couldn't finish her bowl of soup. The only thing I didn't like is they left the meat on the bones. Most of the meat wasn't on the bones, but I had a couple pieces that were. I mean come on, no one eats the bones, just get rid of them. But the soup was very good. I will return here the next time I want some more Pozole! Next time I might try their Menudo.

Pretty good. Not mind-blowingly good, but this place would be a great go-to option when you want some decent mexican fare. Atmosphere is fairly nice. You could do a lot worse.

I have been coming here sense I was four. This place has never failed to please The chips and salsa are so good! There's the normal red,(which comes to you right when you sit down)then they have others my family gets the "greens" avocado and jalapeño. I think they make there own chips witch are good too! Then your food comes and it's usually not such a big wait. The most I have waited is fifteen. But it was extremely busy. And the food had the same great taste. Me and my mom sometimes get the steak fajitas. It's so big that why I split it with her. It comes with guacamole and sour cream to the side and also a side of beans and rice. We get the flour tortillas and they make them and there so good! If my mom and I aren't in the mood for that she gets the black bean omelet and I get the carna Asada tacos. My dad gets tacos ricos. My younger sis gets the kids enchilada. And my younger brother just has me and my moms beans in one of our tortillas. The service and the staff is just so kind. It's great for big groups. This would be a definite consideration when you need a place to go out to eat.

It's been awhile since I've been to Bella's and I was pretty sad about this experience. Granted we had a large party (18) but the service was not great, the two waiters we were given tried but they clearly were overwhelmed. Many of our orders came out of the kitchen wrong, fish tacos with no fish, things we didn't order were brought out, things we did order were not. Fajitas with no tortillas for over 20 minutes... The food was alright but there are better.

Excellent, friendly service. Food was served quickly, was tasty and came with several kinds of delicious salsas! The back patio looks like a great spot for a private gathering! Thank you for taking such good care of us.

Wow! Great salsa, great service and great food! Kids menu is very reasonable. They have different kinds of salsa with different heat levels. Green cilantro salsa is outstanding! Kids loved seeing the koi in the pond on the way in. We tried this place when they catered the Ogden Rodeo. They have a new customer for years now!

Love bringing my family to Bella's! Amazing service and the food is mouthgasmic! Try the guacamole because you will love it. The fajitas are also delicious. . .and they have a gluten free menu.

  • Julie K.

So I realy like Bellas. It's pretty "white" mexican food but it's convenient and I want them to succeed. The standard salsa is pretty mild and sweet, more like tomato sauce. The avocado salsa is also delicious and also pretty mild though there is cilantro in it. I think this time I was turned off because when we sat down I requested avocado salsa and something spicier. The waitress stood and argued with me for 3 minutes about how the avocado salsa was spicy. It's not. Total turn off. I had the salmon salad which is not at all mexican but a tasty healthy choice on their menu. Don't expect spicy and you'll be fine. Get take out, the guy at the window is always friendly.

I love the food, atmosphere and staff here. It's the only place my kids ever want to eat. Try the Carne Asada plate and the fresh made guacamole, you won't be disappointed!

  • Just_Dason L.

Bellas has been good for what it is. I think the salsas need to be reviewed and changed but that may be just me. I like to taste seasonings. The food coming to your table is amazingly fast and it's like it's sitting back there waiting for you. But I would say it is above the average. I will continue to go it is a nice change.

  • Nicole B.

Horrible. There is nothing fresh about this place. Their salsa is pretty much plain canned tomato sauce. The rest of the food was bland. To top it off the burrito we ordered was not BBQ it was more like a unseasoned potroast in a tortilla.

  • Kristin G.

This was the biggest joke. Let me be clear, the food wasnt "bad" it was BLAND. Our "carne asada" which we paid $11.99 for, btw, was two very thin, completely dry overcooked (to the point where even a steak knife had issues cutting it) pieces of trim steak. The beauty of REAL carne asada is that it is skirt steak, with crispy fat that gives it a juicy, delightful taste. Bellas carne asada was like shoe leather. The salsa? Give me a break. It was tomato sauce. Nothing more. We had to add copius amounts of pepper and salt just to tate anything. My brother in laws enchiladas had PEPPER GRAVY on them. Our carne asada plates had a sad little salad, a small scoop of rice, and fried potatoes?! It made no sense. It was a sad representation of "Mexican food". It was grossly overpriced for the portions and quality. I rarely leave negative reviews for restaurants, but we were so disappointed and disgusted with our meal I felt compelled to do so. The ONLY bright spot was our service. The drinks were refilled, the salsa and chips brought quickly, and the food came fast. The waitress was great. Too bad it wasnt worth eating. The restaurant was packed, despite the fact that a table of five people were grossed out by every dish we ordered... there must be some redeeming qualities here, somewhere? The biggest waste of $75 (for three adults and two kids!) ever. We might as well have thrown money in the trash. None of us finished our food and ended up cooking a meal at home, later that night.

Unfortunately I have to leave a not so great review. Place was busy and I had high hopes. The food was very bland like the chef lost his love of cooking and just cooked some food without tasting it. Worst salsa ever, like tomato sauce or diluted Katchup. I had the brisket fajitas. Okay I was expecting a mexican flare on beef brisket. It was literally sliced brisket with some BBQ sauce and re-heated onions and peppers. It was tough, dry and not flavorful. It came with some rice that was dry and bland and runny refried beans. To top off the experience the tortillas were just traditional tortillas that you were re-heated from the grocery store. Pro Tip: If you want good mexican food please go to Ventanas in Ogden. It's real mexican food that you would find in Mexico for half the price. It's very good. I gave Bellas two stars only because the service was good, otherwise the food was one star at best.

Overall good experience here. Food and menu was better when it was Melina's, but will go again.

  • Abigail B.

This is a good restaurant. The food is kinda expensive but regular Mexican American. It's yummy if you lie, the usual. I think it's good this is where I go for my softball banquet.

  • Adam M.

Salsa still awesome but took a bite of my burrito gordito and thought I bit into a rock waiter took it to see what it was then told my wife and I it was a dried up bean because of the microwave. 2 stars only for the salsa this was the last we will be coming here

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
