You led me astray citizens of Utah! The worst Thai food I have ever had. The noodles were mushy, the chicken was leftover. The waitress was nice. I prayed that I did not get sick after eating here. You couldn't give me a groupon to go back to this place.

I absolutley love this place. It is a hole in the wall little joint that doesn't look like much inside or out but the food makes up for it! It is a family owned and operated business which is a plus. The Panang Curry is fabulous. Their vegetarian spring rolls are to die for! The vegetarian hot pot soup and the Pad Thai are also very tasty entrees. When ever I come home to visit Ogden I make sure that I stop here for my favorites.

their lunch specials are delicious and cheap. comes with soup/rice/egg roll. they have a lot of vegan/veg options for those of you who don't enjoy eating our furry friends. i absolutely love their yellow curry. i haven't had their pad thai in a long time, but i recall it being good. also, a great thai iced tea. service is meh. not great but not really anything to complain about in my opinion. but seriously, the lunch special. GET IT.

Good service. Very attentive. Food. Medium hot/spicy is not that spicy so don't be afraid to ramp it up. Tasty food for sure. Not that authentic Thai but close enough and it tasted fantastic. Our party had some Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese dishes. All were very good. Fixings for Pho was very fresh and the Thai basil was very pungent. Satay was lightly seasoned with curry. The peanut sauce a bit on the sweet side but still a good compliment to the satay meat.

This is a hole-in-the-wall type of place that you should NOT overlook!!! We were nervous to try it because it looked rundown, but they were having a great lunch special so we decided it was worth a shot. I loved their Pho and my husband enjoyed a simple, but tasty curry. The service was great too. I'm surprised we don't stop by more often.

This place has the best curry! Possibly in the entire state. The green curry is my personal favorite; but the yellow and red are amazing too. MUST TRY!

I honestly should have known right away when I saw it was Thai/Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant. Instead of covering 3 cuisines marginally why not pick one and try to do it well ? Lunch special was enticing , I picked green curry and BBQ grilled pork. The pork was boiled, grey in nature, and I didn't wen have to try it k ow what it would taste like. But I did and I was right. The rice was old, the curry was bland, and the best thing on the plate was the egg roll. And the soups were packages egg drop and hot n sour ? Where's my Tom yum? I hate giving bad reviews but I also respect food too much to not steer you good folks else where. 2 stars because our server was just so darn nice.

Sooooo happy we finally found a good Asian place north of SLC!! Thai people are so incredibly humble and kind. The staff here portrays exactly how it would be treated if you visited Thailand itself. Amazing hospitality!! We had a hard time narrowing it down, but we chose Chicken Tom Yum Goong & Thai Red Curry with Pork. My toddler had the kid's ham fried rice. Food is exactly what I've hoped for. I've been to Thailand a few times sometimes a month at a time and I can vouch that they serve authentic, delicious Thai food!!

Stopped by this place after a fellow Yelp'er (Didi) was kind enough to point me to a place she enjoyed. I visited a couple of days after Christmas so it was pretty slow, I think there was only one other couple there besides myself, but that is understandable. I ordered the Sweet and sour cream spicy shrimp soup and it was fantastic along with the spring rolls. My main dish was the Pad Thai medium spicy and although the flavor was nice, I couldn't tell it was even seasoned. They did bring me some additional Thai spices so I could kick it up a notch. The staff was very attentive and friendly too. Unlike many Asian restaurants you don't have the atmosphere to go along with the meal. One giveaway is having the Black Eyed Peas, and country music playing as background music...lol Don't let this review sway you from visiting this nice place as I did like my meal and time there. BTW, be careful on days when ice/water gets tracked into the restaurant as I had to pick up one unfortunate lady off of the floor after she slipped on some water.

I love this restaurant. They are very friendly and make you feel appreciated. Their Pad Thai and Red Curry are my favorites. Good Pho.

Went for lunch during a conference. We wanted to eat Thai food so steamed clear from anything that was not Thai. So we tried the green curry, massaman curry, and Thai drunken noodles. It all tasted good but it was not very authentic. Both curries were pretty diluted, and the massaman was made with chicken instead of beef. The drunken lacked the deep flavor of the dark soy sauce and oyster sauce. Everything tasted good but it lacked the intensity of Thai flavors.

If you come here and don't get the Mango Sticky Rice, you are a disappointment in life! It is so sweet and delicious! I'm sometimes just hungry for a treat and I will go out of my way to order the Mango Sticky Rice. Spring rolls are delish too!

Came here during a business trip and of course the higher-ups (I worked with Koreans at this time) want to get Asian food. Being from California, I wasn't expecting much. Bangkok Garden Restaurant didn't knock it out of the park for me, but since I was impressed, I'm teetering between 3 and 4 for this place. - Ordered the Pad Kee Mao (my 'go-to' dish at Thai places) and it tasted pretty good. Flavors were there and it didn't taste too greasy. - Restaurant was very clean. - Waitress was very nice and attentive. I don't know if I'll ever be back in Ogden, but if I do one day, I might stop by again.

It was just okay. I probably will not return. I ordered the barbecue chicken and received a dish that tasted like salted, boiled, chicken-sliced up and served in a tiny portion. There are a few better choices for Thai in Ogden alone. I would not go here if you're looking for really good Thai food.

If you don't mind overpaying for cold soggy chicken, then this is your place. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken and also the general Tao chicken. Both entrees came out cold and mushy. The portions were ok sized, but not a value at all considering there was no soup or egg roll included with the entree like 99% of Chinese restaurants offer. Would not recommend.

We stopped in for lunch, first time there. Loved that you could pick two out of list for lunch special. We started with the spring rolls, then had the red curry chicken & BBQ pork combo plus the V1 Pho. Everything was delicious, right amount of heat, the pho was a little unusual in a good way. We like the place, it was not the dive it looks like from the street. Place is clean and service was great. We would like to come back for dinner and try it again.

Happened upon this place. Delicious food! We joined our relatives eating dinner so we had a large party and sampled each others. Delicious pad thai, curry, sweet n sour chicken, stir fry, spring rolls and my favorite - Drunken Noodles! Service was great. She messed up on my order but made it right and was really sweet about it. 12 happy eaters! Now I've been craving their drunken noodles! I'll be back! (I tried the other night but they were closed). I recommend this place to everyone now! Legit!

My first time using this place...and certainly the last. I ordered a bunch of dishes for take-out early one evening and was assured that each "entree" was enough to feed 2. We were 7 adults, do I decided to order 7 entrees just in case. When I got the food home, we were shocked to see how little food they had given us. And the quality was terrible. YUCK.

The restaurant is under new ownership as of a 1-2 years ago. It took me forever to try it again, but I am SO glad I did! It is hands-down the best thai food around now. I had the green curry and it was fantastic. Everything we tried met or exceeded expectations. The decor and atmosphere has been much improved as well and is now simple, clean and well curated. I absolutely recommend it.

Hole-in-the-wall is still an excellent description but I like it anyway. This is THE place to go for Thai curry. I found the Chinese food to be decent but it pales in comparison to their awesome curry.

lets get right to it. order a so call Saigon pho, it so bad, there are no words in English to describe it. the chicken meet was so old, can't eat it on the 2nd bites, sent it back to the kitchen, order something else, nothing with chicken those. the tom yum soup with shrimp, extremely small portion with no rice. $2.00 added for the rice. so $11.00 for the meal. the tom yum soup was nothing special, the same stuff, favor, you can get from any Asian instant noodle bowl. so never again.

Really like this place. Kind of hole-in-the-wall, but the new owners have spruced it up. Very clean inside, and my favorite place for Pad Thai or Tom Kha.

After passing this restaurant thousands of times, I finally decided to check it out. Upon entering you are met by a friendly waitress and a lovely, tranquil, golden Thai ambience. The menu was newbie-friendly but being a seasoned Thai/Vietnamese foodie I immediately honed in on my target food: Pho. You might be wondering why on Earth would I order a Vietnamese dish in a Thai restaurant. Trust me. It is worth your while. Especially when living in a city where pho is scarce! The Saigon Pho (8.99) was a smorgasbord of shrimp, pork, thinly sliced beef, and tender chicken balanced with the standard thai basil, sprouts, and sambal oelek (chili paste). The drink of choice was a refreshing Lime Thai Iced Tea (2.50) served in a long glass cup. The appetizer was a spring roll with sweet dipping sauce. The service was excellent and the price was great for the large bowl! (If you are a pho lover, no size of bowl is enough.) Try the Bangkok Garden!

I don't think I have ever had a bad experience here. Food is always on point, service is always excellent, and the atmosphere is comfortable. This has become one of my favorite restaurants. Keep it up!

I actually like this place. I like it MORE now that it is owned by new people though . A few years ago this place was ran by a family it was nothing like it is now . This lady has really cleaned the place up And redecorated. Every time I go there she is there And she's always so sweet and cheery . I typically get the basil chicken, and the panang curry or pineapple curry . They are so delicious and spot on flavor. The mango rice dessert is done perfectly as well. I hope this place makes it because they are just a treat

Look at this serving dish. It explains it all. We tried the beef salad, pad Thai, curry, and sticky rice with mango dessert. Everything was excellent tasting and the service was prompt. We will visit again.

Took some out of towners with very specific food requests here, and we all loved it. I spoke with hostess before our guests arrived to make sure they could accommodate the requests, and they were happy to do everything we asked. The food is delicious, but the restaurant itself, is not as nice. Its your normal hole in the wall, kinda isolated, easy access. But every time I go in there, there is just a smell that doesn't hit me right, and have been 1/2 dozen times or more. When we took our guests, the place had a new odor, natural gas stoves must have just been kicked on because it smelled like a gas leak in the dining area. All said I will go back and visit, buy I know some people may be turned off and leave right away (I have some odor sensitive friends, no cologne etc), but its very good, fresh and tasty food.

I ordered the yellow curry with tofu lunch special and it was delicious. I was happy to see that most of my curry was tofu and it only had a few small potatoes rather than the huge chunks of potato that normally come with my curry. The egg roll that came with my lunch was pretty good. I wish they gave me a little more rice but I'm happy to have too rice than too little curry. My total came to $6.03. You can't beat that!

I'm just gonna be upfront and say this is my FAVORITE restaurant in Ogden. I'm the kind of person that likes to pay for food, not fancy atmosphere and bitchy staff. I will admit, the place is a dive and hasn't been improved since the 1970s. Like others have mentioned, the servers are all family members and are apathetic and obligated to be there. I don't mind, as long as I get my food. They do offer Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese food. Haven't tried the Vietanamese dishes, the Chinese food is ok, but the Thai is what keeps me coming. I love their spring rolls, tofu, yellow curry and sticky rice with mango and coconut milk. Their prices are really cheap, so I won't condemn them for poor atmosphere.

It's been a few years since we've tried Bangkok Garden, but after a craving for their fresh spring rolls we decided it was time. I really want to love this place. The location isn't great by any means, but it's much better since the smoking laws changed as it's adjacent to a bar and the smell would drift into the restaurant. Anyway, we ordered Spring Rolls, Beef Panang and Pad Thai. The Spring rolls were as good as I'd remembered, the beef panang was above average, but the pad thai just wasn't good. The noodles were kind of globbed together and the flavor was quite bland. The other issue I have with the place is the service. Everything was prompt but she never asked if we wanted anything besides water to drink, didn't ask how spicy we wanted any of our dishes, it was just very robotic and unfriendly (not rude but unfriendly). I'll probably give the place another try but not before seeing if there are other places in the area first.

This place was kind of divey but it was just what we needed - a carload of tired and cranky and hungry kids (and parents) so we didn't really want to go anyplace fancy. My husband wanted to eat in Ogden because he had dessert plans for us. He's eaten here a couple times as he has stayed at the Marriott that's in the next block a few times. They serve a variety of Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese food. The food was OK - not excellent or memorable, but not awful either. Maybe a little too salty for my tastes. It was good enough that we took leftovers because we had Thai food for breakfast in our hotel in Pocatello the next morning. Service was not very attentive. Decor was kind of slummy.

Solid little Thai place in Downtown Ogden. I had Panang with Pork, Drunken Noodles with Sea Food and Green Papaya Salad. The salad was one of the best versions of this classic I have ever had. The noodles and curry were both 3 starts max. I give this place 4 stars for being very pleasant, clean and welcoming. Really nice staff.

Going off of a fellow yelper suggesting this place.... I was pleasantly surprised. I apologize to Bangkok Garden for showing up at 8pm, with a group of 15 people eager to eat quickly. The staff were super friendly and accommodating to us. Sitting us in the "banquet/party" room.... but it felt there was no heat in that area of the building. Probably for the best as we were a little rowdy. The dishes slowly starting arriving an hour later to our delight, and all conversations were quickly silenced so we could enjoy our meals.... The flavours are so awesome! 99% of the dishes can be made Veggie.... a huge plus in my book. And to end the night each of our bills were less than $10!.... I'm looking forward to returning!

Walking into this place is like walking into a time warm, its definitely stuck somewhere in the 70's and i kind of like it. We were the only ones in the place so of course we got fast service. The ladies there were super friendly and funny too. i ordered the Buddha, some spring rolls and a Thai iced tea. The tea was amazing but its pretty hard to mess that up. The spring rolls were good but i am not a fan of iceberg lettuce in anything. they sauce is what made the spring rolls worth it, also they over charged me for the spring rolls. The Buddah was good, enjoyable but not the best food i have ever had. I definitely want to go back and try some of the Thai food, i hear great things about it and i hope its a little better than the Buddha. Over all the service was great, the food was OK and and it was nice to get our food super fast. I wasn't super impressed but i have a feeling some of their other dishes are much better. stay tuned for round 2

The restaurant seems to be a fusion of SE Asian styles with Thai being the most represented. I ordered Green Curry. They didn't ask me how spicy I wanted it though. Luckily it came out within an acceptable range. The dish was very good. My buddy ordered Pad Thai. I tried some and was dissapointed. It tasted like there was ketchup in it. The prices were ok but given the location and interior I thought they would be a little cheaper. I would probably go back but not before checking out a few other places.

A hole in the wall, not the best thai food that I've had but it's well done. The wait time for the food is a bit longer than most restaurant. Probally going to come back here to try other type of Asian food. Maybe Vietnamese next time.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
