The "Noodler" is a bi-monthly occurrence. Their food is fast, simple, consistent, and delicious. The restaurants are not very comfortable so we usually get our order to go. Their online system is great. We live 10 mins away and the order is always ready when we arrive. Our favorite entrée items are pad thai, spaghetti with meat balls, and the new buffalo mac & cheese. It is refreshing to see a wine and bottled beer selection at a fast food restaurant in Utah. They also have a new self-serve Coke fountain with an excellent variety. The prices are reasonable as evidenced by the abundance of families with young children at any given location. After visiting many of the locations around the Wasatch Front, I recommend the Murray location for freshness, order accuracy, and the friendliest service.

So I would start this off saying maybe I'm just too picky about my customer service standards, and if you are too, don't go here. I walked in and looked at the menu, waited until the very bland, even a hint I attitude cashier tried to answer questions of the people in front of me, though she didn't do a very good job. While talking to them, she answered the phone. To me, this is such a big no-no. But like I said maybe I'm just picky? I get so irked when people are helping me and answer the phone in the middle of my order. Alright, my turn. She starts off with "what did you want" no welcome, no smile, no greeting. Just like an irritated mother "what do you want" okay, I give her my order and she gives me the total.. Okay, I guess I'm done with my order, I didn't need a drink but thanks for asking. So I sit and wait, the time in which my food was prepared was actually impressive so there's that, and it was average in taste for me. So I get my to-go order and ask "do you have little to go cups, like something I could put sriracha in?" Instead of a "yes" or "no" she just puts a cup of sriracha on the counter and walks away. So I wait until someone pays attention to me again so I can ask them for another cup. Maybe it's just me but I don't think I asked for a cup of sriracha, I simply asked if they had cups like something to put sriracha in, my purpose was to get a cup for soy sauce. But I would say I rate on my service for places, I like to know I'm being taken care of. I feel if I'm not taken care of in person, how do they care for my food!? Who knows. I'm walking away with okay food and a bad customer service experience, raking in two stars for this place.

This Noodles & Co is literally within walking distance from where I live now, I had the opportunities to dine with them on many occasions due to my love for freestyle coke machines, and other family members like this place as well. It is hard to miss them since they are right at the corner of 1300 E and Fort Union intersection. I generally stick with the Asian stuff, except for Penne Rosa. Their menu changes every now and day, my latest dish to get is Thai Curry which got converted from a soup dish to regular noodle dish in the last menu change. The kids love mac & cheese and spaghetti. Their menu pricing can be tricky, without protein is about $6, but after adding any protein even tofu will bump it up to $8+. A clever way to deceive on pricing I suppose. The quality had always been average, and every now and then they overcooked certain dish. Convenience and they are open on Sunday gave me reasons to continue visiting them. My only annoyance is that the free-style machine runs out of certain flavor every now and then, and it takes forever for them refill them.

Interesting selection of pasta dishes and the food comes out fast. My green salad was 90% tomato and cucumber. This would be great if I liked tomato and cucumber, but I don't. If I did, I would have ordered the tomato and cucumber salad. Now I'm wondering if they are actually the same thing with two different names... Hmm. A real head scratcher. Stoked that they have wine now... But my wine pour couldn't have been more than four ounces. Ouch. This is a good spot to come if you're so carb starved you need pasta in 30 seconds or you're gonna die, or if you want to eat out and are wearing gym clothes or pajamas.

I love this location more than any other. The good is great as always but their Staff goes above the extra mile. I am always treated kindly & they are always so helpful. This is my favorite location, their Manager, is amazing. I recommend this Noodles & Company above all others

I've stopped in to this location a few times over the last several months. Each time, I've ordered the same thing: mac & cheese w/ chicken. The elbow pasta is dreadfully dry. They used to cover it adequately with plenty of cheese sauce. But now? Now, you have to really stir it around to get enough of the paltry amount of sauce onto dried out macaroni. Pathetic. And another big problem with this location: cleanliness. There are a number of reviews on this location pointing out how dirty it is. Believe them. Every time I've gone in, there have been bowls & plates left behind by previous customers just sitting there. The floors and tables are covered with food pieces, and they stay that way, even after you've started your own meal. You don't see any employees with a dustpan nor a cloth to wipe things down. You really have to search to find a half-way decent table to eat on here. I've given this restaurant enough chances, but I'm done. Who needs to eat dried out macaroni around unkempt tables and a dirty floor? Not me, thank you very much.

We have been dining at Noodles for many years. Pretty much since the Sugar House was the only location. Over the last few years I have noticed a decline in overall performance. Tonight for the second time in a week they messed up our to go order. The cleanliness of the restaurant is sub par and the overall effort from the staff is borderline ridiculous. I won't be returning to this location.

My colleague put his business card in the jar and won free lunch for all of us. They treated us like kings! They literally brought out a sample of everything on the menu. It was a great experience. Not everything was great. But the majority was at least good. It's a good spot for a basic lunch. Solid 3 stars.

Haven't been here in a long time. Last I remember it wasn't that good. My wife wasn't feeling too well and was craving some soup and didn't want to go to sweet tomatoes so I suggested she try some chicken noodle soup. Went and put in a to-go order one with chicken noodle soup for my wife and a small cup of tomato basil for me. Chicken noodle soup was flavorless, chicken was dry and overcooked and the noodles were undercooked. My tomato basil wasn't too bad, it had decent flavor and was very thick. We will stick to Sweet Tomatoes for their soup. Not sure we will be going back to this location again.

I have not been here for a while but it wouldn't the other day and I had such a great experience. Food was great but the Castleberry was amazing. He name was Klayton. He was kind, funny and beyond helpful. Klayton checked on everyone twice and was just so kind!

We just got a Noodles & Co. where we live, near Boise, but I haven't visited that location yet. I almost didn't visit this location either -- I intended to visit the Japanese restaurant across the parking lot, but it was 2:00 and they had just closed for the afternoon. I stepped right up to the counter and ordered the Pesto Cavatappi with Pork. Nice portion, reasonable price, great taste. The staffers I encountered were all pleasant and my order arrived at my table quickly and exactly as I ordered. This was also my first time trying the cool Coke dispenser with Raspberry Coke, Orange Coke, etc. I really liked it.

One star is generous for this location... I went in to get a bowl of chicken noodle soup for my sick wife... I didn't think for something as simple as soup that I would need to call ahead, so I just went in and placed my order. It was not busy by any means and only had about 4 to go orders sitting there, after watching at lease 3 other parties dinning in get their orders before me I asked what the hold up was, all I got was a "I don't know" smile from the manager. After waiting THIRTY minutes for them to scoop up my soup, they called my name. I wasn't the only one waiting, there was a line of 3 more people... When I complained to the manager she didn't give me an explanation or reason, she basically ignored me at first then when I said it again said sorry and walked in the back... Step up your game Noodles.

This is part of a larger chain of restaurants, mostly in the western US. It is a fast casual order system. The food is good although I've had a few screw-ups on my orders before. They apologized and quickly fixed the right dish, not a big deal. They do need to work on staff at this location. Since there really are no real noodle houses in SLC you can go to without getting sick this chain is one of the safer choices. They have a good Americanized spin on most of the dishes.

People love noodles, I know, and I guess it's OK. They used to have an awesome "noodle-less" Greek platter that I loved, but it's no longer on the menu. The foods good, I guess. Nothing I can't make at home. You can choose Mediterranean, Asian, or American-style meals. My kids love their mac & cheese. I just always think when I eat out with my 2 small kids, we should be able to eat for under $15, and you can't here.

Good food, but it's not possible to enjoy it dining in because the temperature is always freezing! I was there in November, it was 40 degrees outside, and they had the a/c blasting. I had to eat while wearing a huge coat. I won't be visiting again.

I work near here so I have come here often. My favorites are the Med Salad, Penne Rosa and Pasta Fresca (I add shrimp to each of these) adn they are consistantly good. The last two times, I decided to "outside the box" and order something different. Bad chocies both times. The first it was their mac & cheese special: Bacon Mac & Cheeseburger. I love mac & cheese so why not try this? Bad idea. The "burger" was their meatballs just chopped up and they tasted like those vegan frozen meatballs you buy at Whole Foods. I know.... I am a former vegetarian who used to eat that. On top of that, the "meat" was cold! Try thawing it out next time, Noodles chefs! Last night I had the mushroom stroganoff. I loved the fresh mushrooms on it, very tasty, full of flavor. I added "steak" to it and it wasn't steak in my opinion, had the taste and texture of stew meat. Chipotle's steak in their tacos are more steak-like then whatever this was. And the sauce was flavorless. The wide egg noodles however were cooked perfectly so I'll give them that. In all, 3 stars for always keeping my favorites consistant, but the 'beef-like" products they use are just gross. I'll stick with shrimp.

I am a fan of Noodles & Co. Their Parma Rosa pasta dish with chicken is one of my faves, as is the new truffle mac & cheese. (If only they threw on a handful more of mushrooms...sigh.) The flatbread is always a great side dish. My husband is a fan of the Bangkok Curry and the kids love the classic Wisconsin mac & cheese. After going to a tasting at Noodles, I discovered their food is prepared fresh to order and they try to source their ingredients locally if possible. That was news to me and a pleasant surprise. Even when it's crowded I'm in and out pretty quickly, which is great when you have kids running crazy around the place!

I hate giving reviews like this, I want to spare you from the terrible experience i had here. Dont even bother unless you are starving and everything else in the area is decimated by a nuclear attack! This food is terrible. The sauces are all wrong and way too salty. I get the feeling no one here knows what edible food tastes like. I tried 3 different dishes before giving up, i sent back the first 2 and then just left.

  • Kirk G.

The staff is ALWAYS nice and eager to serve you. I am a regular, maybe twice or three times a month. The new pesto is a nice alternative to my regular buttered noodles. My only complaint is they are not always prompt about cleaning the tables after prior guests leave, and you might have to sit at a somewhat dirty table when there are no other tables available. Avioiding rush times should resolve that.

I've eaten at this Noodles location more than I'd like to admit... actually more than I can even recall. In a past life I worked at Best Buy and so working nearby this Noodles was a frequent lunch and dinner stop for me. My favorite dishes are the Pesto Cavatappi, Tomato Marina, and the Wisconsin Mac & Cheese. My wife really enjoys the Penne Rosa. They also have a good tomato soup. I haven't tried their sandwiches yet, but I expect they are pretty decent. The biggest problem with Noodles and with a lot of restaurants is their inconsistency. One of the things you notice when you eat someplace regularly is change. Sometimes the food at this location is great, prepared well and good tasting. Other times that has not been my experience. This is especially true sometimes with their chicken. Sometimes it is tender, fresh and tastes great. Other times its rubbery and overcooked. As Jason said, the staff at this location, especially the cooks, could stand for some improvement. This was not always the case though, a few years back when I was eating here more often, it was considerably better. So it goes. For quick, casual dining Noodles is pretty good. If you haven't tried it, check check check it out.

Since there is a Noodles right across the street from my work., I have been coerced into eating there several times by the girls in the front office, who just seem to love the place. As for me, I've been thoroughly unimpressed. Frequently overcooked, always underwhelming, these pasta dishes leave me yawning. Their 'award winning' mac and cheese just isn't that great. I find their portions wanting, and they can be very stingy with meat, especially the shrimp, that costs extra to add to your dish. But the experience that finally prompted me to write a review was the "Mmmeatball" Sub. This is one of the worst sandwiches I've ever had. Where's the beef?? The balls were so small, it was more like a marinara sub. It tasted like a meatball sandwich from a vending machine, if meatball sandwiches came from a vending machine. It was one of those meals that you regret so bad it keeps you up at night. I tossed and turned in bed thinking I could have got a proper meatball sub for the same price at Moochies. Aaarrgghhh.... I gotta give props to the business model. Pasta is the cheapest food base there is. These dishes must literally cost pennies to make. The profit margin must be huge. It's the customer that gets screwed.

Every time we come to Salt Lake City (Midvale) to go skiing and stay with our Auntie, we usually stop at Noodles & Company. This place is just around the corner from her house and is quick and tasty. This time I had ordered the Trio which you can order any small noodle dish, add to it, chicken, beef, shrimp, meatballs or tofu, then add a side soup or salad and for only $7.50 plus tax, how can you go wrong. My trio started with the Indonesian Peanut Saute (spicy) added chicken with a chicken noodle soup. The others in the group got the Pad Thai noodles, Mushroom Stroganoff with beef, Penne Rosa with tofu. I'm just going to say that we all liked our food and we will always come to the Noodle & Company in Midvale. We are not BIG food critics, but if it taste go we'll always return as we have done for the past four years. Give them a try instead of the fast food burgers joints. It's clean, their friendly, polite and best of all, free refills on you soft drinks.

Good food, but it's not possible to enjoy it dining in because the temperature is always freezing! I was there in November, it was 40 degrees outside, and they had the a/c blasting. I had to eat while wearing a huge coat. I won't be visiting again.

I haven't found many other pasta places that prepare the food so quick and cheap. They have some good meals, but nothing I can't live without. Great place to satisfy a past craving!

Found this jewel while vacationing... we ended up eating here twice during the week. Excellent food... definately the best tomato soup I have ever had. I wish there was one in my home town. Will back next time I'm in utah.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
