Revised review... My previous review was 5 stars... Disappointed that I have to drop them to 3. Up until my most recent dining experience, the service was always great. I've been here more than a dozen times and this past Sunday I took my family here for Sunday Brunch and the service was terrible. They were extremely understaffed and had only 2 waitresses. Our waitress (long blond hair, pony tail... if you're reading this, you know who you are)... You were sick and had a runny nose with the sniffles every time you came to our table (maybe 3 times, taking order, dropping off food, bringing us the check...) I witnessed her walk outside and smoke a cigarette and come back in, hack a few coughs into her jacket and go right back out to serving customers. SHE DID NOT WASH HER HANDS! Really disappointing, and gross. Original review below: I love the mom/pop vibe. At first I only ordered breakfast, then about my 4th or 5th time here I started ordering other items on the menu. Their hamburgers are seriously amazing. Try them! Always fresh and great. Plus it's an awesome value. Don't judge them by their corny logo/sign. At first I thought it was like a printing shop or something. Not the delicious restaurant that it is!

Awesome little local spot for breakfast! Got their classic with pancakes! I loved the pancakes! Leo the waiter had exceptional service and was very friendly. He had many tables at once but was extremely attentive. The food was classic breakfast food for an amazing price! Go visit them you won't regret it !

Local place. Hard workers. Owner there all the time. Crispy potatoes are good, like chips. Place is kept pretty clean. Patio has umbrellas. Bees are aplenty. They keep the coffee full.

I work in the Fort Union area of Midvale, and it is absolutely brimming with restaurant options. Virtually every ethinicity is represented. Yes, all the chains and fast food joints are there as well, but so are some wonderful independent gems: Lone Star Taqueria, JohnnieBeefs, Epic, It's Tofu, Bohemian, and Olympus Burger, just to name a few. But I have always lamented the lack of a good diner in the area. Until now. The Landmark Grill fills this much needed gap with solid food, good service, and a pleasant atmosphere. I've had several of their breakfast items, and all were fine. I especially recommend the 'Empire Stacker'. The most notable aspect is their unique 'Crispy Landmark Potatoes', which are cut like potato chips, but are browned on the griddle like regular hashbrowns. I approve. Their bacon cheeseburger is respectable, and I really enjoyed their lamb sliders on a recent visit (pic). I've also had their Triple Decker Club on marble rye. It was piled high with real sliced turkey breast and plenty of bacon. Excellent. Nice crispy fries as well, served with fry sauce. All we need in Fort Union now is a taco cart.

We found the Landmark Grill thanks to Yelp!. This is a small neighborhood diner like something you would find in NY. The breakfast we had was fantastic, the service is very attentive and friendly and the place is very clean. We can't wait to try lunch sometime. Give them a try, you won't be sorry.

I am a sucker for Eggs Benedict and will try it anywhere they offer it on the menu. I have a refined my palate to detect when the benny is legit. This is just the case at Landmark Grill. The service was fast and friendly which was good because I went on my lunch hour on a workday. I will be back to try the other items offer on the menu.

What bland, weird food. We went here since original pancake house was packed and it was empty except for two older men at the bar reading the paper and drinking coffee. I ordered the pancake "sandwich" and my husband got the eggs benedict. I immediately heard a microwave go off as my order went in, and felt disheartened. My eggs were fine enough, the pancakes brought me back to my childhood eating bisquick (in a bad way) and the bacon was thin, overly greasy and nasty. The eggs on the benedict strangely had no egg white, they were perfect circles, both over cooked. The ham was the best part of the meal sadly. Our server was awesome, so it sucked that the place was horrible.

Exceptional service and fantastic food! We stopped here because of the good reviews on yelp...we were not disappointed...we were actually impressed. This place exceeded our expectations. The waiter was extremely attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this place and we will be back if we are back on town.

Great little diner tucked away in a strip mall, we sat on the patio and it was really nice, overall the place is well cared for and very clean, the waitress was sweet and very attentive, food was awesome as well. I of course had the eggs benadict and the sauce was perfect, but what made the meal was the ham steak they used , so good...

Empire Stacker was awesome. The wife had the lamb sliders, which she really enjoyed. The service was great. Will come back to try other menu items.

SLC is full of good mom & pop places and this is one them. I had the tomato basil soup. It was nice and hot with great flavor. Then I had the lamb sliders with feta. Cheese covered the lamb patty with cucumber sauce; served with your choice of soup, salad, fries, or their homemade chips. I had the fries and they were pretty good. Husband had the Empire Stacker and was pleased. Eggs poached perfectly. Service was excellent and the prices are so reasonable. Will be back, of course.

This place is just mediocre. We went for breakfast and it wasn't anything special. I got french toast and it was barely even cooked. For how much I paid for it, I expected to have it nicely put on a plate, with maybe some fruit and whipped cream. It came out with some lightly browned pieces of bread placed on a plate with some syrup. The orange juice tastes bad. Our waitress was also not very friendly. It seemed like she didn't even want us there. I will never go back to this place and I don't recommend it. If you are looking for a good breakfast place, go to either Millcreek Cafe or Sharon's Cafe.

This is another Greek breakfast place, though it is difficult to parse that out from their goofy sign and very basic menu. That sign, an object of much commentary, with the color scheme and odd font, looks almost like a child designed it. In fact, I mistook this for a daycare the first time I saw it. They continue this odd arrangement of primary color blocks on the menu itself as well, inexplicably. Adding to that is the décor, which looks like they bought random images of various "landmarks" (get it?) from Big Lots or maybe World Market and tossed them up on the wall. The padded booth seats are also higher than normal and very stiff, which was unusual. None of this is influential to the rating, but bears mentioning. There are still several telltales of various items on the basic menu and the chalkboard wall behind the counter. One of them is the honey donuts, which were pretty well done and somewhat unique, basically fried dough balls served in a pool of honey on a plate, with pockets of powdered cinnamon. The rest of it had some issues, starting with Kroger tea bags for the black tea. My wife had the lamb sliders, which she enjoyed somewhat, but which came with a block of feta cheese and a glop of tzatziki sauce, which was about as unappetizing as possible. I got a Landmark sandwich, which was some shredded cheddar, a slab of pressed ham and what appeared to be powdered "scrambled" eggs stuck between some respectably grilled sourdough. It was quite bland and tasteless and I spent much of the time with it trying to improve it. The eggs had a very strange mouth feel that was kind of annoying. I would tolerate this, to an extent, on a road trip, when I'd want something fairly basic to just get and go, but here, it was pretty unwelcome. They also have Landmark potatoes, which is basically somewhat flimsy restaurant-made chips. If you've ever had a bag of cheap potato chips, what is left on the bottom, those tiny burnt crumbs, you've seen about half of what I had on my plate...also underseasoned. I surmised, given that the honey donuts were the only actual good part so far, that perhaps they did sweets better. I ordered the baklava pie and the strawberry shortcake. The baklava pie should be renamed "walnut pie" as it is literally a pile of walnuts between some phyllo dough acting as a crust. I love walnuts, but it would be difficult for me to imagine more of a mess than this. The cheesecake was partly frozen but was otherwise fine. Service was very good (and gives it the bump from the 2.5 that it realistically is at) and friendly throughout, with a lot of really good touches. Detail is meaningful with me, as usual. It's worth noting this is a "seat yourself" sort of joint, which is sort of obnoxious, but on the plus, you can probably nearly always get a table here...if you want one, I guess. None of the food overall was outright bad, but it would be hard to call it good, either. It was just mostly acceptable, I guess, some of it more than others. While the burgers did look somewhat interesting, there was nothing about this place to make it really stand out to the point where it would be worth a second drive, so I sort of doubt I'll be returning.

Located in a little plaza around the Ft. Union area, this little gem has a variety of things in the menu that could charm you. Lots of breakfast options, sandwiches, lunch menus, and salads. It's a mellow sit down place. The service was way nice, and the place itself reminds you of Miami in the 90s. You are not sure if it's greek or latin, but the colors are cool and it makes you feel like you might be by the beach, in the mediterranean or caribbean, so it's a toss on that one. My friends and I had breakfast items as we were there during the morning craving some good breakkie foodies. I had the rbeakfast sandwich I think it's called. It was okay. Not bad, but nothing out of the ordinary. They give you a choice between potatoes or something else, I can't recall the name of it, but they are basically potato chips. The potatoes could def. be better. A little too blend and boring, but ya know, the price was super cheap and the service was super nice, so I can't really complain.

Service was exceptional, and the food was really good. I got the Denver omelette and my friend got the zues omlette. Both were great.
(4)Charity K.
Great food and great people! Our family loves going to Breakfast here! We always feel welcome!
(5)Luka L.
Cute interior, very clean. The diner quality food was just OK though. I had the Eggs Benedict and was a little disappointed. Overall the place seemed nice enough. I would be willing to try it again. Although I may stay away from the breakfast menu next time, and just try a sandwich instead.

My family and I enjoyed our trip to Landmark Grill. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. There are many unique items on their menu. My daughter had a standard - eggs benedict - and she raved that it was the best hollandaise she's had anywhere. Husband had an omelette with Gyro patty and said it was the perfect blend. I had a stacker with the thin and crispy potatoes which are cut like potato chips, but fried like hash browns so they have crispy and soft parts. (You can also choose more tradition country cubed potato). It was topped with cheese, meat and eggs. I chose the gyro patty for my meat as well. Now, I loved the gyro meat and the stacker, but I'm not sure I loved it together. Still, everything was so great and the menu so appealing that I can't wait to go back and try more things!

My wife and I decided to try this place due to positive Yelp reviews. The bright and airy interior is clean and very inviting. We were impressed by the polite service, and it was very fast as well. We both enjoyed our dishes--hot and delicious. In short, this is a great place for a lunch stop.
(4)Brian L.
Fantastic place for lunch. Food was delicious, prices were cheap, and the service was quick and very attentive! I couldn't get halfway through my drink before it was being refilled, which was free by the way. Only open for breakfast and lunch, but I highly recommend.

Very nice little place. My family and I enjoy visiting here. The kids pancakes are wonderful! I've enjoyed everything I've eaten here, and always try the special. Never a disappointing dining experience!

A favorite restaurant of mine for sure!!! I ordered the French Dip sandwich today-excellent. The fries were tasty and fry sauce was on the side:)

Wonderful food and great service. Had breakfast looking at lunch menu I have to come back and give it a try 4 stars with out a doubt

I ate at the Landmark Grill the other day for lunch and really enjoyed it. The waitress greeted me promptly, took my order right away, and my food was served up HOT and fresh only moments later. I had their patty melt with fries and it was DELICIOUS! I'm not easily impressed when it comes to food but I really enjoyed that sandwich. With cheap prices, BIG portions and friendly service the Landmark Grill has a lot going for it. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be eating here again.

We previously ate lunch at Landmark Grill--just a club sandwich, but pretty good. Saw a positive review in the Salt Lake Tribune, so we went back for breakfast. My husband had the egg breakfast. He wanted over medium, but the egg yolks were so runny that he wondered what over easy would be like. We had to remind the waitress to bring his English muffin. I ordered the Denver omelet, which was tasty and a healthy portion. They serve these potato-chip like "hash browns". I didn't mind them, but my husband said they weren't his style. I give them points for originality, but don't call them "hash browns" when they're not. If you go for breakfast, I would recommend that you order an omelet. Just plain eggs don't seem to be in the Landmark Grill playbook. I would love to see them succeed because this location has housed at least three previous restaurants that failed and we have few family diner type places. But they've got to improve the quality of their food.

Landmark grill is family owned. They have a variety of Breakfast and lunch items. They are closed for dinner. Plenty of seating inside and out and is clean. A very friendly crew making sure you are taken care of. We went on a Sunday and we had breakfast there. My wife had the cheesy omelet and I had the french toast combo. You get a good portion of food and it taste great. I enjoyed those thin sliced potatoes they serve. I highly recommend this for breakfast or lunch. I will be back for the Hamburger I saw. They look great and other items on the menu look like worth trying.

Went in for lunch today. It was great going to a new place and not being disappointed. I had the Greek salad which was quite big and very good. Lots of feta cheese and kalmata olives. The house dressing was wonderful, they should bottle it! My mom had the turkey sandwich and onion soup. Both were good, the soup being especially so since it was homemade:)
(4)Andrew T.
I love the breakfast potatoes, they are fried chips and make sure you get the loukamades? (greek donut holes soaked in honey). Elaine is very efficient and friendly.
(5)Natalie M.
Service was slow, took forever to get our food and it was barely warm when we finally got it. Toast was hard as a rock. Seems like you have to be a regular to get your food in a timely fashion, won't be going back.
(1)Todd P.
I had the lamb sliders and my friend had the gyro also with lamb. Stay away from the LAMB!!! It's dry and tasteless in a ground beef style which is okay for sliders but not a gyro. A gyro should have slices of lamb meat off of a big slow cooking cooker (you know like all the other places around that serve gyros) not a ground lamb (like hamburger... gross) The service was great. I will give it another chance and I will not order any lamb.
(2)Steve S.
Great value. Awesome local diner feel. I love diner coffee and this place pours some classic diner coffee. Eggs Benedict are done well. I must say I prefer the home style potatoes over the crispy. Crispy are like chips.
(4)Mike H.
great locally owned family restaurant. breakfast is always good. Try the thin cut potato chips

After a really bad ice cream episode the night before (pre packaged pint, old, overpriced, and dull), my taste buds were on a war path for revenge. Each little taste bud gathered, one by one as the moisture of anticipation started to form on my tongue. The craving for a delicious breakfast grew and a hungry unsatisfied tummy grew more angry. Like I normally do, I turned to Yelp to find something new. My quest for taste bud revenge led to Landmark Grill. Located where Pounders was off of Fort Union in the strip mall next La Frontera, its a cute little end unit with an inviting patio dining. You enter to big open room with rows of seating. Kind of reminded me like when your family would rent a tiny room/half of bball court for a family reunion and tables are just set up line by line so you can basically sit on someone's lap or at least be close enough to hear their conversation. Some may feel its "homey " and lovely. To each their own. We opted for the patio dining. Kudos to LM for having it, made for a nice brunch. The food selection reminds me a lot of a diner. Village Inn, Dees, or Dennys. Their website boasts home cooking with freshest ingredients and great prices. Well, here is my take. Like I said, patio dining is always great. Only drawback is it right next to La Fronteras drive up. Luckily, I went for brunch and it wasn't to busy but I can imagine hearing people order a combo platter hold the sour cream and the talking back and forth "what?"..."anything else?"..."aaaaannnnndddd ttthhhheeeeennnnn"? For brunch we ordered 2 plates. I have a confession, I have a crush on Dennys "Moons over my hammy". Cute right? Well Moons meet the LM Sandwhich. Basically the same thing just a different style. Eggs, Ham, Cheese on bread with hasbrowns. LM's eggs reminded me a lot of a continental breakfast on the west coast. You know the kind that are formed like play dough and you can pick up the whole slab with two fingers? yeah, like that. The "ham" took me back to the slices of ham in my 4th grade hot lunch. The kind that is also all jammed together and has the harder plastic like edge. Is it bad? Well, you decide. For me, it was just mediocre. The hashbrowns here are like potato chips. I literally asked that as my plate was served. "Are those Lays or Ruffles?" Really, they are thin slices of potatoes. Overall, they did have a good taste and I applaud LM for trying to be different. The other meal was just your traditonal - 2 eggs, bacon and an eglish muffin. Best part of that meal was the peanut butter on the side. Kid you not it tasted like the PB from Reeses PB Cup. FYI - Its JIF. Choosy moms choose JIF! Service was quick and attentive and the fellow had a cool accent. We paid 15 plus a tip for two and left feeling very full. Those two, minus the "average" food plus the patio equal and make this place a 3 star outing.

I was in the area to go skiing with my family and we stopped into this restaurant for breakfast a few times. The food was very good and the service was great. Would definitely recommend this place for breakfast if you are nearby.Try the french toast or the hash browns (more like warm potato chips)!
