I love this place!! This is my go to cheat meal. I love the double double, and their fries are good too! The service here is great. But make sure your very clear when you order because this place is always busy since they have bomb burgers. If you have never tried this place you gotta try a double double. That's all I recommend.

You have got to love this place. The food is cheap simple and consistently good. I always get the single monster style, fries and a drink. When your in mood for high quality fast food this is the place for you.

Seriously the nicest kids working at this place! They were smiling, polite, looked us in the eyes. Whoever does the hiring at this establishment should hire for every restaurant and fast food place! Loved being able to order my burger protein style. Tasted great. My husband got the double double cheese and thought it was top notch! Wish they had fry sauce but that wouldn't stop us from coming back.

It was a huge shock to pull up to an In-n-Out that didn't have a ten mile line! In the olden days, when I lived in West Hollywood, the In-N-Out on Sunset would have a line that practically wrapped around the world twice, but I digress... I always get the double double animal style combo. No animal style on the fries, just the burger. Such a simple meal, but packs such a great punch. 4 stars for their fries not being my absolute favorite fries in the world. Please come to Colorado.

I had a double double and it was just the right size. If the burger was any larger I would have been way too stuffed to finish it. Don't be intimidated by the name of the burger as the patties are pretty thin. That's a good thing in my books as it makes the burger much easier to bite into. The service was good and the cashier explained each burger to us when it was our turn to pick up our tray of food. The burgers all looked similar so she made sure each person knew which burger was who's. The fries... I didn't realize the fries were cooked in a different oil than most other fries at fast food joints and initially didn't like the texture. I was craving crispy. salty, "potatoey" fries but instead was served less salted, soft fries. I mixed ketchup and pepper and ate the fries assuming that this was just how in-n-out made their fries but I still craved McDonald's typical tasting fries. At the bottom of the fry container, it stated that the fries are cooked in 100% cholesterol free vegetable oil. This must explain the less-than-crisp texture. Overall I would say that this In-N-Out provides excellent service and the food is hot and fresh. I don't think I'm a "fan" but it's a decent place to grab a quick, decent meal.

They built this location on an abandon site, which used to be a Black Angus long time ago. The bridge connecting the bigger parking lot is still there and they added a small section of parking next to building as well. The odd thing about this location is the drive-thru goes very far out, I suppose they anticipate a huge line as always. Food wise, it is the same stuff in all of their locations, same regular and secret menu. The staffs are quite friendly here. Certain seating within the restaurant gives you a window view of the traffic situation in the Fort Union area. Perhaps it is a little perk on a snow day? If you live in Sandy/Midvale/Cottonwood Heights area, this is probably a very convenience spot for you compared to driving down to rural Draper...

Having moved to Chicago from Newport Beach, I miss many things. On the top of that list is In 'n out. Why does this place have such a cult-like following? Animal style. Thin and tasty patties. Real potatoes used in the fries. Milkshakes so thick it's like drinking soft-serve. After 3 consecutive days of boarding, this place hit the spot on the way out of town. If only there was one closer to the mountains... I'd have hit it every day.

Being from Southern California, it feels unAmerican to not like In N Out. They do one thing and they do it really well. You can get a burger any way you like it. Cheap and great tasting!

This location is great. Quality of food is high, speedy and friendly staff. For quick burgers and fries, it's hard to be In N Out. No wonder their line is always long.

Love In-N-Out ... anywhere. Friendly service, as always, and same fabulous menu. Only downside to this location is that the parking lot is a bit challenging. Not a ton of parking and difficult to navigate when drive-up is busy. Super convenient, though, and frequent visitor.

In-N-Out, famed throughout the nation for a good reason. If you want a fast burger that is made fresh to order, consistently taste good and is priced very well, then In-N-Out is the place. Their famed secret menu is no joke, it ads fantastic options for you to enjoy. I always get the 3x3 no vegetables , with grilled onions. My only complaint is the fries, thy just don't do much for me, they are a little to thin for my like. You should also try a Neapolitan shake, its worth it.

Ok burger the fries were very good. Service is good for a fast food restaurant. Burgers are better than 5 guys.

Most of my friends in Utah think that In-N-Out is overrated and hate their fries. I grew up with In-N-Out in CA and I think it's the best fast-food burger out there, hands-down. I love their fries, dipped in my own special concoction of ketchup+pepper. Plus, the secret menu is always fun. Good prices, friendly people, clean restaurants, and clean bathrooms. Plus, they have like 3 floor plans that have been iterated across CA, UT, and NV, so I always feel like I'm somewhere familiar.

One will rarely ever find me eating at a chain fast food joint, and this includes Subway. But every once in awhile I get the hankering for a burger. And with In-N-Out now in the Salt Lake area, I will make the 15 minute drive to get some of these tasty bad boys. The secret menu is a nice added touch but I really only do it for the fries and if I'm sitting down to eat, it can get really messy, maybe that's why they call it Animal Style. Great burgers. My standard, two Double, double cheeseburgers, animal style fries, and a chocolate malt.

Really good burgers! Drive thru available, fries are the best!! A step up from regular fast food chains, although this is reflected in their prices. Service is amazing! I was blown away but how courteous the staff is, and not flustered at all even though there was a bit of a line. Service with a smile goes a long way :)

I really like In-N-Out and go whenever there's one in the area. I like that you can get burgers with lettuce instead of the bun and they're usually really good. I got the animal style cheeseburger protein style and it was really tasty! They can be a little slow here, but be patient: it's worth the wait! I really want to try the animal style fries. Next time!

Can never go wrong with In-N-Out! Just FYI if you've never had it before, they cook their meat medium. So if you like it well done, you gotta let them know.

You know what's the absolute worst? When you drive 20 minutes out of your way for a burger, go through the drive through, get all the way home and open the burger to find a women's hair a foot long (or any size for that matter) in your burger. Straight into the trash you go. Is it worth it to drive all the way back and battle traffic? Probably not. My only question, where the hell are your hair nets?!

3 Star burgers and fries but 5 star service. Where else to they give you a place mat for your car, put everything in a tray ready to eat, and even take the wrapper off your straw? On one hand, it embodies everything I hate about the American consumer. And on the other hand, I love the convenience. Even though I see them fresh cutting the potatoes for the fryer, their fries come out of the fryer a little limp and oily. The burgers are just ok. But at least you can get raw or grilled onions on them.

It's just fine. If you come at mealtime, plan on spending sometime waiting there for your food. Not like, an hour, but I've waited 10-15 minutes, so don't really think of it as "fast food" so much as "food that you'll get when your order makes it down the assembly line." Not much to say about this location versus any of the other locations, except that when you turn in from Union Park Ave, it's an immediate left into the parking lot, and of there's a line of cars, you may just be better off circling around by going over the bridge and into the WalMart parking lot. In-N-Out is a burger place. With burgers. That you can eat. Pretty much middle of the road, and with SLC being such a burger town, it's hard to come here with so many other great, unique, distinct options to choose from. But send me a free coupon? That's dinner!

The Astro Burger by my house was closed at 10:30 pm, so In-N-Out was the next logical step. 3 stars on my last review?! Geez. Kick it up to "Yay! I'm a fan." Same double double no cheese with raw and grilled onions. SO GOOD. Maybe I missed the raw onion last time. Yeah, that's it. I forgot to order my fries "well" this time, but miracle of miracles, they were crispy, AND delicious. Finished it all off with a root beer, and I was in heaven.

Haven't been here in a few months. Today was extra salt day. The burgers were so salty I don't know what happened? I ordered the double double animal style without the nasty cheese. My wife ordered the double cheese and she couldn't finish it and hers was also too salty. Things I like about this place are the freshness of the burgers, They can't compare to Lucky 13 down town but they are decent and I do love their fresh fries and cleanliness of the restaurant.

So I'm a vegetarian going to a burger place. We got the fries "animal style" which involves chopped onions and relish and special sauce over the fries. A mess you need a fork to eat. Not worth it in my opinion, I like my fries crispy and with all that on top they definitely weren't. The vegetarian sandwich alternative is basically the burger with all the fixins minus a burger pattie. This was pretty dang good. I'm not sure why I'm saying that considering it was a bun with lettuce, tomato onion and special sauce. Must be the special sauce. Crack sauce it was!

When it comes to burgers in utah, in & out is one of my favorite places. A double-double, spread only, with animal fries makes for an excellent dinner on the go. If that's too many calories, get the burger protein style. Yum!

Consistent, affordable, delicious burgers and fries with friendly service. Always a first choice for my family. Don't forget a milkshake!

Of the famous burger places - five guys, shake shack, elevation burger - in n out is my favorite. The toasted bun, fresh lettuce, perfect sized patty and crispy fries are hard to beat. The shakes are thick but able to drink through a straw and are not overly 'milky'

First off awesome location, I love all the outdoor seating right next to the river. In-N-Out as always very high standards and pay close attention to detail.

I've tried. Really, I have. A solid half dozen visits. I just don't get it. In-N-Out is a disappointment. First and foremost, there is no bacon. None. Nada. Zilch. Bupkis. No bacon in the house whatsoever. This is just sick and wrong. Second, their fries are an embarrassment. No contrast in texture. Good fries should have a crunchy exterior and a soft, luscious interior. In-N-Out fries have the same lame texture from start to finish. And there is no fry sauce. That alone disqualifies them. Third, the burger is OK tasting, but nothing spectacular. And the bun is sugary and boring, reminiscent of McDonald's. Not a good thing. Fourth, the secret menu / ordering "Animal Style" is just annoying. Fifth, the friendly staff have a "Stepford" feel that I find disingenuous. With Olympus, Crown, B & D, JCW's, and Apollo in the vicinity, I see no reason to ever return to In-N-Out. Bye Bye.

I took my kids to this restaurant today in Utah. I have heard great things about it and we do not have any in CT. They have a small menu but everything is done well. Had the "grilled cheese" which is basically a warm cheese sandwich and my kids had the burgers. The kids have eaten in another IOBurger in California and said this one was ok!

Just had my first experience at in and out burger in Midvale in Utah it was around midnight and all the staff working were soooooo friendly!! Such great attitudes and smiles! Which was pleasantly surprising knowing they were all teenagers.... My boyfriend and u both had the #2 with onions and bathe the cheeseburgers were made to perfection fresh crisp lettuce juicy red tomatoes fresh cut onions and awesome melt cheese all neatly placed on the bun!! And it tasted AMAZING! These guys really know what they are doing!!

  • Ameilia Q.

I really don't see the appeal. It seems to me that it is a regular fast food burger joint with a limited menu. Pass!

  • David M.

Do the Double, Double Animal Style. It's the best burger ever. It has a pile of extras and tastes perfect. The service is delightful. It's a little noisy, but that's part of the fun. By the way, you have to ask for the Double, Double, Animal Style. It's not on the menu.

This is a busy In-N-Out, especially from lunch through dinner. The staff here never fail to meet or exceed my expectations. In both ordering speed and accuracy, but in the quality of the food they put out. Everything is always fresh and tasty!

Delicious burgers...I recommend the chocolate shake too.

This is the hidden Gem of the In-N-Out Empire. Unlike many of the other In-N-Out locations, this one usually has seating available. While busy, it's not the usual insanity that you find at other locations. And the food? Come on! It's In-N-Out! Hot, fresh, and inexpensive. The staff is always, ALWAYS cheerful and the dining room is always, ALWAYS clean. You can't beat this place.

I travel a lot to areas near and east of Houston TX. Why do I seem to imply that that's relevant to this review? It means that I do not have enough time around my home or near any other In-N-Out locations. However, I have tried this and other In-N-Outs enough to claim the following: Their expansion has not hurt quality in any case that I have noticed. The staff are excellent; we ate at the "15's location" of Mazza last night and at this In-N-Out late this afternoon. I was pleased that we agreed to give the Mazza waiter a memorable tip last night, yet the helpfulness and sincerity of the employee who helped us at the In-N-Out at least equaled those in our notable Mazza server. It made me check --and regret the answer-- we were at least not encouraged to tip at this In-N-Out. The one employee we dealt with exceeded our already high expectations in 3 remarkable ways and could earn excellent tips elsewhere--'Thank You Paul' for the kind of attention to detail that can make a visit to even a fast food place special. I have tried the other local highly-rated area competitors, including the ones that SLC residents can immediately think of, which have well-earned local reputations. Our visit here today, even before we tried our excellent purchases at exceptionally reasonable prices, made me regret that this was my first chance to get here in a long time for, to me, an amazing --but not out of bounds for the In-N-Out chain-- fast food experience.

This place is the model for what good fast food should be. Maybe their menu could be a little more expansive (yes, I do know about the secret menu, as should you! Go to their website if you don't know about it), but its simplicity is part of its charm.

Top of its class. Bitchin burgers and fries. Great pricing too.

Wow, hungry for a burger in a hurry..."not here".....took awfully long to produce two #2's and an extra cheese burger (took 20 min.).... and a customer came after me while receiving his meal first... Understanding that sometimes things don't go the way we want... but it was non rush hour on a Friday (3:30pm) and I was getting it to GO....uuuugh..... got home annnnnnnd the fries were good and cold......cooome on!!! This is suppose to be the Famous In-N-Out Burgers, not the infamous hurry-up and wait and then get cold food !!!! Oh PS... We live a block away!!!

What can I say...my son has raved about this place, so I stopped by and checked it out. Marginal food and I won't be back and will likely never set foot in another in In-N-Out Burger.

An average burger with less than great fries, but reasonably priced

    (3)
  • Craig B.

I don't get the hype. Fresh is good. Heck, fresh is great. But the flavors of the food are pretty pedestrian. Nothing here that I couldn't do myself at home. If you're going to have such a limited menu shouldn't what you do be pretty spectacular?

    (2)

In n out burger is the place to be to get that California feel so it gets no better than that and they're dd's are to die 4 so if that's you go check it out!

This is one of my favorite anytime, go to burger places. The spread is amazing! I love adding extra spread to my burger and also dipping my fries in it. I love the taste of their burgers. I can tell they salt the meat while cooking it. I always just get spread and lettuce on my burger and it tastes soo good. I also love their fries when they are soft but hate when they overcook them and give me hard fries. The key reason I love In N Out is because of their amazing spread! The flavor of the spread is similar to thousand island but better! I also love that they cook your food fresh everytime! I have never used their drive thru, I always go inside and love watching them cook fresh food :)

The best burgers around with nicest employees. blows the competition away. They go the extra mile.

Overhyped, average, and yet seemingly flocked to by Utahans constantly on the California grind. Do yourself a favor and take your money to Crown Burger which just blows In-N-Out out of the water, AND has fry sauce. *Just a note, In-N-Out does not take Amex.

Drive thru experience... Service: Great. Very polite. Food: Close to Cali. Slight difference in taste in my opinion, but still good. Clean outside building. I hate when there's trash everywhere. I would come back to this location again.

Being from California, this is the only piece of California that I have left here in Utah. Nothing better than a burger with crisp fresh onions and awesome customer service. Although I've never been a fan of their fries, even though they're totally natural and made right in front of you. Let's get into the physics of the burger. The 2 thin patties compared to a single thicker patty? Better surface area and more efficient absorption of grease from the grill. The bun? Perfectly crisped on the outer edges and soft buttery center melted onto a crisp ass piece of lettuce! And the cheese? It's not a high quality cheese but that's why it pairs so well with the 2 patties. The crisp veggies paired perfectly with the softer meat and buts just needs to be consumed right away A perfect burger, which always happens, needs to be consumed right away. Similar to when you go buy pho. There's not point in "take out." eat now or forever hold your peace. Haha And their shakes are amazing too. Made with whole milk and not yogurt substitute, they definitely remind me of my childhood. I usually start sipping my milk shake and don't put it down till it's finished. It's, that, good. I come here on a weekly basis and their service never disappoints. How does this place rank against 5 guys? In n out has a better bang for the buck

First time going to in and out burger after lots of recommendations. Got a double double with no onion and well done cheese fries with a shake. The burger was pretty good, defiantly better than some I've had but not the best. The fries were crispy but the cheese was cold and ruined most of the fries. The shake was supposed to be chocolate, even said so on my receipt but they gave me strawberry. Even after saying chocolate 3 times while ordering. The shake was alright, not the best shake I've ever had. I would come back, but only for a burger and nothing else.

  • Elizabeth M.

Well what can I say. Absolutely wonderful Double Double Protein and Animal Style. This is the first time I every ordered a burger lettuce wrapped and they seem to have perfected it. Fries are okay, but not the reason to go here. This has got to be one of the friendliest cleanest fast food burger joints out there. Sigh.....maybe someday someone will open a location in Colorado?
