I had a $10 off coupon so I thought I would try it. Overall, our experience was good. Started out with the Caprese salad. At $12.99 - a bit pricey. On to the Italian Wedding soup - not bad, but have had much better. Stuffed shells were good - sausage had a little kick. Bread was really good. Service was excellent and we enjoyed the tour of the kitchen. The decor was really cool. I'm sure we will be back at some point.

Good food. Large portions. Very helpful and friendly staff. The menu seems to have improved in the last few months.

My first experience with Buca was in Scottsdale. The Fort Union location lived up to my expectations and then some. The Mozarella Caprese was delicious and the Baked Zitti was perfect. We love this place.

From the indifferent hostess staff to the humongous yet flavorless cheesecake, the entire experience was a MEH. Yes, I've had worse food, but I've certainly had better. All of our pasta had the freshly warmed in the microwave feeling. Nothing seemed home made. And again, the cheese cake was TERRIBLE. It was a solid, dense giant piece of.... cheese-ish cake? It had the faint after taste of play dough & was insanely dense. An absolute case of quantity over quality. We used a coupon which takes the sting out of the experience, but overall it's overpriced. PASS.

This place is so authentic Italian! Atmosphere feels like you're in old Italy. The food AMAZING, service Stellar. I love the Family Style servings. Great to go with a group or as a couple. Always have leftovers which I love! Far by best Italian Restaurant in Utah!!!! :-)

Outstanding food and great service. The manager's Travis and Amanda are doing an excellent job! Come on in, you are in for a yummy treat.

This is a divey but fun place to eat. There are funky photos and knock knacks to keep you entertained while you wait for food. Once they seated our family in the kitchen, which the kids loved. We usually eat with big groups because the portions are family sized. The food is average--some are better. They usually offer good coupons.

I really like this place even though it's a chain. I like their food, atmosphere and service. I also like that they serve family size meals, because it is the most fun thing to do, eating food with friends and family together. I have tried a lot of their dishes and I have not been disappointed once. Their customer service is always so good, and very friendly. If you have a few friends or family members to go with you this is a fun place to share a meal and enjoy the atmosphere. If you don't it's ok too, because you can get the dishes in a personal size.

I can't believe I'm giving Buca a 1 star review. I've been going to Buca's all over the USA for the past 20 years or so and never had a bad experience until I started going to this Midvale location. Tonight was the last straw though. We arrive on a Friday night at around 9:15pm looking for a get away from reality since we have a 12 year old, 2 year old and 4 month old. My wife gets off of a 12 hour nursing shift so we think lets unwhind and have fun. Yeah no! First off there's a wait and we're the only ones there minus 2 tables getting ready to leave. Second, our waiter arrives and seems friendly but never brings bread or water (NEVER). We have to ask the bus boy and then the host for bread and yet still no bread comes the entire night. I was ready to get a nice buzz or maybe even get drunk so I order a carafe of sangria. I kill the sangria, my son kills his Italian cream soda and my 2 year old kills the apple juice but we never get offered refills. I was ready for at least 4-5 good drinks but decide screw it. Our food did arrive after about 20 minutes of waiting for bread and listening to the kitchen staff have a better time than anyone in the building. Oh and it was the bus boy and host that delivered it. Did I mention this was a Friday night? Kitchen staff must have got that memo because that's where the party was. Our waiter who was a ghost until it was time to take our order and drop the check must have known the party was in the kitchen as well. Anyway, the food was the same but it was very disappointing because it's over the top Buca and it's the place to go on Friday night to escape a little. It seriously felt like a Tuesday night 10 minutes to closing. This is not the first time that this Buca has dropped the ball, I've just given them the benefit of the doubt. The other times we've been in there we usually sit in the bar area and that's where you will find a manager presence talking to the bartender the entire time. Every time it's a $90-$100 tab for pasta and I always tip 15-20% but not this time. Probably won't be back for a long time if ever but what do they care? It's Buca and they know it. People will still flock here because of the gimmicks.

Stopped by with a friend while visiting Utah. I've been to this chain dozens of times but this was her first time going to a Joe's Basement. Service was great, even a bit too flirty but the waiter did a great job. Portions are large except if you order the small on some items like the chicken marsala which will be appropriate, two chicken breasts for two people is reasonable. Others like spaghetti with meatballs the size of a baseball are best for 4-6 people. Not authentic Italian here and the menu changed a lot since Planet Hollywood bought them out but still much closer to Italian food than you'll ever get at Olive Garden. Love the decor in here with all of the black and white photos of famous and not-famous Italians. There's always a homage to Frank, the Pope and Sophia Loren.

If you have a billion kids or family members, this is the chain restaurant for you! I don't so I find it to be rather annoying. The good news is that they have really big tables for groups. The bad news is that you could whip up just about anything on their menu in 30 minutes at home (in a more appropriate sized portion).

My in laws treated my wife and me to lunch on MLK day. I don't know if the folks at bucca don't anticipate more people on a holiday or just don't love Dr. King and all the incredible work he did for our country. Either way, they had like three people running a busy lunch rush. Now, at an Italian restaurant, one would assume you could order typical dishes like spaghetti and meatballs or, oh I don't know, lasagna. Of course they had it on the menu, but only after 12 pm. I guess it's akin to baking a turkey on thanksgiving so they must get up at 5 am and get started on it. Anyway, it was 1:30 pm so I'm solid, right? Wrong, friendo. Apparently it wasn't ready because the chef, I'm assuming, slept in or something. So I had to order something else. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, but it did have a lingering taste of disappointment and rosemary that I didn't love. So then we get our bill and my mother in law shows the waitress the Groupon that she bought a few weeks ago. She writes down the coupon number and takes our card. Sounds like everything is golden, but then the waitress brings back the check and says the Groupon didn't work. We show her the coupon, which is still good and valid, but the waitress says there isn't anything she can do about it. Not even a coupon for the next time we come in, which is the least you'd think they'd do after waiting near an hour before we got water and subpar food. No dice. Cool with us, we just won't come back and will tell all our friends how crappy the place is. Oh, and the numerous photos of obese Italian guys didn't help the ambiance either. Go figure.

I've been to this place several times and it's generally a good experience. This place has a really nice and relaxing ambience, with gentle background music, subdued lighting and lots of decoration. It's cozy and stylish, good for romantic occasions and family or group occasions alike. Food is served family style with dishes designed for both 2 and 4 people, it's easy to over order so go hungry or expect left overs! This place works better with parties of 4 or more. The food: Calamari - usually it's fantastic and very succulent but on this visit it was a little overdone but still okay. Veal Parmigiana - this was wonderful and enjoyed by all, very tender and flavorful with a nice marinara sauce - one I recommend for sure. Chicken Carbonara - it was very very nice, but so much food even for a 2 person serving size we could not get through this much pasta even with a group of 4. My parents who go to Italy every year commented on the massive portion sizes. Keep in mind if you order this unless you want left overs! For desert we had Tiramasu. It's exceptionally good but this also is enormous, 8 people could share this but it's well worth sampling. Overall all the food here is good and enjoyable and pretty authentic. Some of the better Italian you can get in Salt Lake and also great value especially for the amount of food you get. Service and value for money: Fair but by no means great. It started okay but got slower and slower as we went through our meal. Of course if you've been to Italy proper you'll know service is slow in that culture inherently and meals are eaten over many courses - there's no hurry and it's expected there - so maybe we can call this authentic too :) In general though I would say be aware that meals here can take some time and service has been a bit hit and miss on different visits, but mainly you come for the food, it's well worth the time and money.

HORRIBLE. We arrived as a table of four at 7:00 PM, looking forward to enjoying a wonderful dinner. What we received was the complete opposite. The waiter, Tim, was negligent and completely disrespectful the entire evening. Not only did we receive the bread prior to our appetiser, but when asking the waiter for a side of lemon for the Calamari, we were given a petty acknowledgement and did not receive the requested lemon until requested a second time and 25 minutes after our appetiser. Furthermore, we ordered three entrees, which took until 8:40 to arrive, one being undercooked, another the wrong dish, and all three extremely cold. After waiting for nearly two hours, we had no choice but to return the food, which we received back in about 5 minutes, apparently microwaved. Keep in mind, the waiter had only checked on out table once during this entire experience. We literally had to walk back to the kitchen. The manager offered a dessert to compensate this horrible experience, but when requesting a dessert off of the menu, Tim, the waiter, said he would have to see if the selected dessert was okay with the manager, due to the price???? Moral of the story: DO NOT EAT AT THIS LOCATION. HORRIBLE SERVICE. HORRIBLE FOOD. HORRIBLE TREATMENT. You're better off dining at Olive Garden. All four of us dining were regular customers, providing lots of business to this restaurant, however, I think it's safe to say we will NEVER be dining, nor supporting, Bucca Di Beppo again, due to the extent of the mistreatment received.

Our experience at Buca de Beppo was positive. Our wait was short and service was fast and friendly. We ordered the Penne Alla Vodka which was good with a lot of spice. I personally like this dish better at Brio (the sauce is better) but this was still pretty good. I wish they had served complimentary bread because it goes well with pasta. We ended up ordering some garlic mozzarella bread which was really good. The ambiance is pretty cool, there's a lot of vintage-esque decor, Italian football mementos, etc.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and blame buca for my weight gain. It all started with portion control for me, then came the taste and amazing flavors and wham! I'd eat a whole family serving in one sitting. The food is amazing. Simply put, I love this place. They just got a new General Manager and service has gone up as a result. The staff has alway been friendly but now orders come out correct every time and my drinks are topped off faster than Justin Timberlake can make a woman swoon!

Supremo Italiano Pizza. 14in length x8in width made fresh and piping hot. Aromatic, and tasty, the tomato sauce has meat in it, perfect balance with the veggies. the chicken carbonara was SUPERB!! al dente pasta with chicken cooked with pancetta and white alfredo sauce . THE PORTIONS ARE HUGE!!.. a small will feed 2-4 people. SERIOUSLY... when i say HUGE i mean a catering tray huge. 12x8 tray.. no kidding.. worth trying!

The service was ok. Slightly on the slower. Slightly on the slower side. All their dishes are marked Buca Small (for 2 people) or Buca Large (for 4 people) I would say it's not a fancy Italian place price wise but their food is pretty good. I tried the Prosciutto Stuffed Chicken with a side of sausage and bell peppers and both the dishes were tasty. I especially like the sausage. It was delicious. For desert I wanted the Mt Vesuvius ( it takes a while prepare so order it with your food so that it's ready on time) but they had ran out of it at 7pm which is a decent time for dinner. This was disappointing (y I gave 4 stars) and I had to settle for chocolate chip cannoli which did not have chocolate chips but still was good. The portion sizes of Buca small are good for 2 people so do not order too much. Also Amex is having $35 for $50 offer for this place which makes it super attractive. I am sure to visit at least one more time before the Amex offer runs out.

We've never been to Bucca Di Beppo before and thought we'd order take out for our dinner for 9 people. I should have noticed the red flag when it took me 20 minutes to order on the phone. The guy not only did not know what the portions consisted of, but I had to repeat my whole order because he had not written it down. When the food got home, we realized the mozerella garlic bread was missing. It took another hour to go there and wait amongst the crowd for 12 measly pieces of regular garlic bread instead of the mozerella bread we had ordered. Food quality - the carbonara was one of the worst pasta dishes we've had. Not only was it soggy, but the texture was too smushy and the flavor was bland and overly creamy (think cream cheese consistency in a pasta). The frutti di mare was decent in comparison, but the flavor was bland and the noodles were also overcooked. The chicken limone and chicken marsala were better than the pastas, good flavor and lighly breaded. Overall, the experience was not great and we probably would not be back with the plethora of other Italian choices around the valley.

Just ordered to take out the Cheese Manicotti, I paid just short of $20 for an amount worth half of that. The breading was over and undercooked all over, cheese and sauce like it's been out all day. Paying $20 for manicotti I expect to get a lot more then four shells, the shells only being about six inches long and not resembling anything close to manicotti... Very disappointed in the waste of money.

Ordered food for 30 people, expecting mediocre chain Italian restaurant food, but was very, very wrong. Baked ziti was flavorful, lemon chicken rich and moist, and the salmon dish paired with the chicken very nicely. Guests often asked where the food was from, and were very surprised with the answer. Buca will be at the top of the list the next time we have an event.

  • Danielle W.

Good food very very expensive and the service is mediocre. Not professional can't keep your drinks filled even if you have a party of 12. That's pretty bad considering the bill will be over 500$. I love the food though so I have returned even when we have bad service from time to time. Could be better for sure.

after numerous visits ambience B+ cozy. i think that's what they're aiming for. the walls are plastered with photos and artwork - reminiscent of a sardi's or carnegie deli in nyc. service B polite and attentive. no nonsense service, for the most part. our server was good. i noticed another server, however, who, for some reason, rested dishes against her stomach and boobs. don't get me wrong, i have nothing against those two things, but when it comes to good service, don't be a slacker. seems like you could use a tray or balance the dishes on your arms...please. food B large portions for families/groups. laden with calories. we ended up packing away 6 styrofoam boxes full of food for 6 adults and two children. great for leftovers, but promotes more manufacturing of styrofoam and takes that much more room up at the landfill... bruschetta (pronounced: bru-skeh-tta, not bru-sheh-tta, unless it's a german dish, which it isn't) decent enough. the tomatoes were roughly cut into chunks - a bit larger than i'm used to. good basil. they added a bit too much salt for my taste. the bread is nicely toasted, however, it's so thick that 45 seconds after it arrives, you're working with soggy bread. tossed salad your run of the mill olive garden style tossed salad. heavy on the vinegar and oil. bold taste, but nothing special. margherita pizza nice thin crispy crust. decent sauce, good mozzarella and basil. they use a wooden serving tray which, in my mind, would help keep the crust dry by absorbing excess moisture. a lot of margherita pizzas i've had tend to get soggy in the middle especially when served on a metal pan or regular plate. the highlight of the meal. chicken saltimbocca prosciutto/sage wrapped chicken breast with artichoke hearts in a lemon/butter/capers sauce i'm skeptical of most sauces that contain lemon, because the lemon overpowers everything else. not so in this dish. the butter and fat from the prosciutto mellow the lemon, thankfully. decent dish. no pasta included. would go well with linguine or even cappellini. prosciutto stuffed breaded chicken buca's take on chicken cordon bleu. decent enough. but, just too much going on in this dish. spaghetti and meatballs a major pass on this dish. even my 2 year old niece could tell this wasn't a good dish. i'm so proud of her. the meat ball was blah. no taste, and just texturally nothing worth considering. the sauce was even more bland. colossal brownie sundae the name says it all. classic american volcano of refined sugar, milk, cream, and chocolate sauce. i don't have a stomach for it anymore. i had two small bites. that was enough. (stop the madness!) overall: B i wanted to give buca 4 stars, but if spaghetti and meatballs is the lowest scoring dish of the lunch, and you see servers resting food against their bodies, it leaves a less than pleasant impression on your palate and in your mind.

Food was much better than olive garden. It's a great place to bring infants and kids because it is already noisy. The calimari app was a little greasy.

My son wanted Italian, but I didn't want to go too spendy at Cucina Toscana or Lugano's. Buca is a good choice- better than Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill. Portions are large and everything is family style. The pasta was tasty and the Chicken Parm was flavorful. Service was good and the atmosphere was fun.

Went in tow with several family members with no idea what to expect. Loved the irreverent and funny art and the fascinating table centerpiece in our Popes' Room --- a bust of Pope Benedict who seemed to be eyeing us for any hint of indiscretion. We ordered family style and found the amount of food to be more than ample, and not bad to boot. The favorite was the Enzo pasta, followed closely by the vodka laden spicy pasta. The baked penne was a star too. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs for the kids. It was unimpressive. Remember to checkout the choices of art in the bathrooms.

Great place to go with a large group to carbo load and look at phunny photos. I have only been here twice so im not an expert. However, big families in Utah require a lot of food and that is what these guys have. Alot of food not expensive and relatively tasty.

This was one of my first experiences with a "family style" type dining arrangement and frankly, I'm not especially a fan. More power to these kind of places and I can see why it might be a hit with Utah, but good Lord, the mass quantities. After getting over the sticker shock, I ordered some seafood dish, which I forget the name of, but remember the grit of the mussels very clearly. Extremely annoying. The shrimp, calamari and clams were all done well, however. I should have just tossed the mussels, but I was trying not to waste the food after throwing all that money after it. My friend got the pizza, which I liked slightly better, but didn't really rise too much above average. There was a ton of that also. In a lot of ways, this is like basically rolling an Italian buffet into the menu, I suppose, but part of the niceness of small sizes is that two people can go to a restaurant and maybe try a few different things, rather than being snowed under an avalanche of pasta. This may be for some people, but I'm definitely not one of them and with the groups I know, there would be no agreement on anything and we'd be leaving with a stack of styrofoam trays. Pass.

We celebrated our daughter's 16th Birthday at Buca de Beppo last week. We come to Buca frequently and it is a tradition for my daughter to celebrate her birthday there. We ordered the wedge salad, Chicken Marsala and the Baked Ziti. When the Ziti came it was not hot. We informed our server and within minutes the manager was at our table and made it right. They apologized and did not charge us for the Ziti. The rest of the meal was fantastic. The staff came and sang to my daughter during dessert and made sure to make her feel special. People make mistakes. The hallmark of a good restaurant is how they deal with the customer when you are not 100% satisfied. This is the first time we have ever had an issue with a dish at Buca. The rest of our meal and the service were top notch. I was thoroughly impressed with the customer service we received and they way they handled this situation. We will definitely be back.

This place focuses more on a tacky Italian theme and on over-sized portions than on actually great food. I do get that theportions are often to be shared, but even my "lunch" sized dinner entree for one person fed me for two meals. It isn't awful food, but this place makes Olive Garden feel classy.

First let me say that I really do try and avoid corporate "chain" restaurants, and I almost hate it when I dine at a chain and I love it, so, it is hard for me to say that I loved this place but first and foremost I am honest in my reviews! I am finding that the level of dining in my adopted home town of Salt Lake City just does not match up to Las Vegas (my old hometown), or Seattle (where I spent my Navy career) but I continue to search out the best of the best which leads me to my visit of Buca di Beppo. When we were greeted at the door we were asked if this was our first visit to Buca di Beppo and when we responded that it was we were asked if we wanted a tour of the kitchen, really, a proud foodie and persistent Yelper gets to see the kitchen before being seated, let me think about for a second, ahhhhh heck yes I want to see the kitchen!!! But wait it gets better, there is a table in the kitchen that you can reserve, you can eat in the kitchen watching as the meals are prepared, where do I sign up?!?!? After the tour of the kitchen we were seated, the ambiance, the personality, the character of this restaurant is off the chart, it is awesome. If I owned my own restaurant it would be decorated much like Buca di Beppo is, more English, Irish, Scottish than Italian but you get the picture, we had not even seen a menu yet and I was having a blast!! Now I have explained to my fellow Yelper's in the past how I really don't care about bad service if I get good food but I never said anything about not loving good service and great people, our server Nataliya was fabulous and made the evening a very memorable night. For those of you not familiar with the practice, when you order here you order "Family Style", which is to say you order Buca small or Buca large and everybody at the table shares just like at home, family style. My wife and I started with an order of Cheesy Bread Florentine. Wow, this is Parmesan, mozzarella, and provolone cheeses with spinach, tomatoes and garlic, melted on top of baked Italian bread. Again, wow, I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this bread. For dinner we ordered the oven roasted salmon (Buca small) and a side of garlic mashed potatoes (also Buca small). The salmon was cooked perfectly and topped with pesto cream sauce (my wife loved the sauce) with sun dried tomatoes and roasted garlic, as salmon goes, this was a great dish with loads of flavor, perfect texture, and ample serving size. The garlic mashed potatoes were very good but I would have enjoyed a little more garlic flavor, that said, still very good. I loved this place, next to Ruth's diner this was one of the most enjoyable meals that I have enjoyed since relocating to Salt Lake City even though it was a chain and not family owned, please Yelper's, if you know of a better Italian restaurant that is family owned please let me know. Well done to everybody at Buca di Beppo, well done!!!!!!! Until next time Yelper's ....................... Be Local, Live Local, Buy Local (When ever you can :)

Buca di Beppo has a fun family, friendly vibe as if you're being invited into the home of your Italian grandmother and she's going to cook you up some tasty grub. With lots of "crazy crap" on the walls to quote Moe Szyslak, make sure and walk around a little while you're there to check it out. If you are feeling religious ask for the Pope room. Don't know what I'm talking about, ask and you'll find out! The food at Buca di Beppo is pretty good and the portions are definitely super sized. Like a lot of Italian food I find Buca di Beppo's food a little bland but with the addition of some red pepper it's back to WHAM POW delicious.

I went here with my parents mainly because my mom has Celiac disease and Buca di Beppo has a gluten-free menu. Upon arrival we were greeted and seated immediately. The decor is fun and the music is festive. Our waiter got us drinks right away and within minutes we were served salads and main courses. My mom was impressed with their gluten-free menu and the food she ordered tasted great. Overall, this was a great experience and I'm really glad that my mom, who has had a hard time with Celiac disease, really enjoyed her meal.

After 2 hard fought soccer games, our U13 girls needed protein and carb reload. This restaurant served us perfect. We got a large room that could fit 14 players and parents. Waitresses were nice and pleasant. I liked the wall decorations. Everything on menu looked really good. We were really hungry!! We decided to let the waitress pick out 4 most popular dishes. I can't remember 'em all, but they were all very good.

The food was awesome, but the lousy service and excuses made this a less than enjoyable visit. Good thing we had a $10 off couple from nearby Super 8, which helped with the pain. I won't be back. No tip for Nataylia.

always love Buca di Beppo. just went with my fiancee and we loved it. Of course it's definitely the kind of place you'd want to go with larger groups considering the family style meal approach. It was still delicious: we had sausage and peppers, the anti-pasto salad, and the prosciutto stuffed chicken. loved it, and the service was great.

I love that at Buca they take you through the kitchen to your table. I've seen a lot of restaurant kitchens in the area, and not all of them are as clean as this one. I shouldn't obsess so much about that, but I do... If you're planning to have dinner at Buca, you'd better be hungry! With six people, we ordered an appetizer and three main dishes. Our food was well prepared and came out quickly. Serving the food family-style adds to the homey atmosphere of the place and makes for a much more communal feel to dinner. This may be my favorite aspect of eating here. The food?? Pretty darn good. Huge servings, lots of flavor and great variety--it is what you'd expect find on your old Italian grandma's table (but she was probably NY Italian). After eating to point of "deliciously overfed," there was still enough food left over for another complete meal.

Every year we hold a little party for a bunch of the people at our office at the "Pope" table. It's an interesting table with a plastic Pope replica in the middle of the table. They serve the huge portions of grub on a lazy susan style spinning table and everyone eats family style. The best part about the "Pope" room is the acoustics. It's shaped with this dome roof and if you whisper the person all the way across the table can hear you just as if you were sitting next to them! It's fun to mess with your fellow guests as the evening progresses. The giant meatballs are juicy and humongous combine that with HUGE portions and you won't leave unsatisfied! Every time we go the server suggests some excellent pastas and tasty meats. The dessert tray is insane. It comes with a slice of chocolate cake as big as a small humanoids head and a vast array of other insane treats. It's all about the balance of cheesy fun and decent food that make this place a blast. Love it!

I've always loved Buca - both places in the Salt Lake area. Love the decor and atmosphere and the plates are always huge (about 17.99 for a small plate which feeds 2). I find most places don't serve enough, but here they are very generous. This is not amazing Italian by any means but it is still very good and I prefer it over Olive Garden. The down side is that over the years their food in general has gotten cheaper and their prices have slightly gone up. Probably due to the recession so I'm not going to rant on it too much, everyone has had to adjust their businesses a bit. BUT I do miss their signature salad, the larger portions of meat and cheeses in their meals and salads, and the slightly fresher and more fancy preperation that they used to do. Hoping they get back to this eventually!

This was my first visit to Buca. We went with 4 people and we read that the entrees feed 2-3. We had just finished skiing for the day and we were very very hungry. We ordered 2 entree's but that wasn't enough. The quality of the food was excellent. We had to order dessert to fill us up. The service was great, we had the manager stop by and give us some discount cards and the waitress was friendly and attentive, even though it was her first week there. We will be returning there next year to load up on carbs for a day of skiing.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations.
