We brought our RZR out to play in the Piute trails. We rode 121 miles Day one and we have over 2,000 left to explore. Big Rock Candy Mountain Resort served as our homebase. It couldn't have been more convenient. We stayed in cabin 105 that sleeps two. It was priced right and it was surprise to have DirecTV and WiFi most cabins are far more rustic. We'll definitely be back.

The park has green grounds, big trees, and a fun atmosphere. You are able to ride your atv right from the park onto the Pauite Trail, which was AWESOME! The park was run down a bit, there was trash strewn, random broken landscaping tools just hanging out which likely lent to the overgrown landscaping, and there was no cover on our RV sewer hookup (YUCK!). I did really like this park and we will absolutely be back, I just wish it was kept up a little better. Note, there is a restaurant and gas station on site, which makes camping even that much easier!

The times we wanted were booked (not our fault we didn't call ahead.) Booked us for an afternoon trip. When we came back they said the trip before had left late, so wait in the restaurant and they would give us free fountain drinks. An hour later they ended up giving us a refund because it would be still later, recommended using the Hoover Company up the road. Everyone was very pleasant and even though we didn't end up getting to use their services they handled it pretty well. None of my party was upset.

9/15/2015 We stayed in the RV park with our trailer and RZR's, Everyone was really nice that we talked to however the website is deceiving, the site we originally reserved stated it would be good for a 40ft fifth wheel trailer, there was no way our trailer would fit without taking out a few trees on the way in and the site was not level at all.. We were lucky and there were other sites we could transfer to, had they been booked we would have been out of luck. The restroom/shower/laundry area was old and dated, it was nice that the laundry is free of charge though. there is a nice grassy area in each site and some have picnic tables, not sure why not all do though. They ask that you don't park your toys on the grassy area (understandable) but there is not much space to park them. The website makes things look much bigger and spread out than it really is, be aware when making reservations if you have a big trailer. Also the gas station has one pump that works and the octane was really low (its the lowest Utah has) and we weren't comfortable putting it in our RZR's. We were unable to get to our trailers gas pump due to the tight space so we filled gas cans and filled the RZRs which was a pain.. we might stay here again but now we know the limits of the park and what sites we really would fit into. Its an old park but I think everything in this area is, there is a bit of highway noise in some of the sites but nothing you hear when you are inside unless your windows are open. There is a lot of trails to ride in the area which is nice. Also the Wi-Fi was unreliable, it would work and then drop signal off and on

The Best Tours in Utah!!! Ziplining and White Water Rafting was unbelievable!! Amazing guides gorgeous scenery.. The best place to stay in Marysvale in deed, don't forget the best BBQ too!!

We stayed at the RV park. It epitomized what I assumed RV parks would be like before I stayed at one. People walking around with open beers hooting and hollering and dogs running amuck. So what did I do? Naturally I grabbed a beer and unleashed my dog! Joking aside there was a big group of partiers here so it may not be like that all the time, but it didn't bother me either way, just so stereotypical. Our Razor tour was awesome! Great guide and awesome views, I definitely recommend. The place is right on the river and I regret not having time to go white water rafting, next time!

This review is for the cafe. W - I - N !!!!!!! Our dinners were fantastic! I tried the cajun chicken pasta which was tender and spicy. Cooked perfect al dente and full of peppers and good stuff. We also ate breakfast here. Perfect country fried chicken, fantastic pancakes, bacon, and eggs. The gravy on the biscuits and gravy was a little bland but pepper easily remedied this. The waitress (I feel bad for not remembering her name) was wonderful. Very friendly and the perfect amount of chatter for a waitress. She was pleasant without making it uncomfortable. She also gave great recommendations for sight seeing., etc.

So you're driving through rural central Utah, looking at the beautiful scenery and scary abandoned buildings. You come around a bend a couple miles north of Marysvale and find the Big Rock Candy Mountain resort, which is a very pleasant surprise. The rooms are clean and huge, no bugs to be found, everyone is extremely friendly. They eschew the omnipresent rustic cabin theme in Utah for a normal hotel-feel, which is nice. The on-site restaurant is great and open at all hours. The same resort rents ATVs from a gas station/tourist center across the street, and there are literally thousands of miles of trails in the hills and plains in the area to cruise around in and explore. It's really fun, made more fun by how unexpected it is. They did a very good job with everything and incredibly my wife and I will probably return to hit the trails again.

Big Rock Cafe opened back up may of 2013, featuring great steaks, seafood, pasta and tremendous burgers. We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days per week. We have a beer and wine license. we welcome busses and offer a large room for private parties.

The cafe is terribly disappointing. We had breakfast there this morning. My husband and I both got sick after having the chicken fried steak. The food was bland and had WAY too much breading on it. We overheard the cook talking to someone about what someone "down the road" had to say about the place. They both agreed it sounded like "harassment", however, my advice as a local....ALWAYS ask the locals about the restaurants. We will tell you straight up! This manager had better listen to critiques or he will go down just like the one before him. This used to be an excellent restaurant with a Chef that really cared. Not any more. The atmosphere was not inviting at all, and after listening to the cook and his associate talk about local business owners, we won't go back.
