One of my favorite resturants in Logan.

The best brunch I've found in Utah yet. Excellent food, great atmosphere with a great wait staff. The food is higher class but not costly. You can tell fresh ingredients are used and they are masterfully put together in a mouth watering manner. It is busy though. We have learned to be there before 9:30 am, or call first before we start heading there to get our name on the list as it is quite popular. I'm very happy it isn't reservation required though as it gives it a more friendly at home feel and you can tell they don't want it to feel formal. Instead it is comfortable, giving it that downtown metro cafe quality but in a country town instead.

I only moved to Logan about a year ago, and while randomly driving around to learn the area I stumbled upon Herm's. I decided to stop by for breakfast the next day to see what some of the local places had to offer in Logan, and I am glad I did. I love Herm's because even though its a great place, it never really feels packed or cramped (even when it is busy). The service is great, I was helped quickly, and everyone was friendly. The coffee was excellent, and the food was great as well. I have tried a few things from their menu, and have never been left disappointed. They just seem to do things a little bit better than most places, like their corn beef hash for instance, I never really liked it before, but then I randomly decided to try it again and was blown away with how amazing it was. When my brothers visited from California, this is where I took them all for breakfast, and they were all talking about how they wanted to go back for breakfast the next day. It could probably be a five star place, but I haven't really explored all of their options, so I will have to try them out some more before I go that far. Definitely a must if you are new to, or coming through Logan.

My wife and I have been to this place a half dozen times since they opened. It's in an off the beaten path location which we like. It's in a cool handsomely renovated old building. We really want to like this place. However, when we go out to eat, which is quite often, we have three criteria: we want decent food, decent service and all of this in a somewhat timely fashion. This place has failed us in all regards every time we've been there with one exception. Our server today was actually very nice. She seemed to genuinely care that we had to wait for 50 minutes for a cold burger and flavorless BLT (we weren't charged for the burger). Accordingly, we tipped her $50 for our $7 BLT for leaving a good taste in our mouths as a result of finally meeting one of our three criteria ... actually better than decent service. I won't say we'll never go back. We only say that if one of us gets food poisoning. Lastly, with all the potential this place has going for it, there is something strange about it's atmosphere. My wife says it's pretentious. She has good instincts. She may be right. Disclaimer: Now mind you, I'm not a big time Yelper. I only Yelp if something is amazing or quite awful. In both cases I'm very truthful while being somewhat prone to exaggeration. We only left a $10 tip.

I am from Austin, TX, known as the Live Music Capital of the World. However many of those same people consider it the Restaurant Capital of the World. You will find an amazing and unique restaurant on every corner. Herm's reminds me of home, from the Mason Jars to the hippy-esque guys and gals working to make this vibe. I always order the fresh fruit as the side and I swear, it tastes as though it was hand picked. It is always fresh. The staff is so chill and easy to talk to. They are all about service, having been offered a cup of coffee for my wait time. Additionally, I've never had an issue with the cleanliness of this establishment, for as much traffic as Herm's receives, it is immaculate. My only issue, which I'm not sure can be rectified, would be the wait time. It is lengthy! So be prepared, because it appears as though everyone wants in this place. Thank you Herm's for helping me with my home sickness.

Really great brunch spot. Very cute Pinterest-y decor, colorful ingredients, and cheerful, speedy service. The cinnamon roll was face-sized but fresh and covered in a massive dollop of gooey cream cheese frosting. The menu was surprisingly varied, from a cookies-and-cream pancake special to a Greek skillet and beyond with options for any palette.
(4)Alexis W.
The best brunch place in Logan hands down. The atmosphere is cool and unique while the food is amazing. I always tend to get the eye opener breakfast which I love however, my husband claims they have the best omelettes there too. The customer service is great, they are very personal which also makes the place special. My husband and I have since moved on to NY from Utah but whenever we come back once a year to see family, we always plan a stop at least once to Herms!
(5)Mikey K.
Great decor with above average breakfast. Herm's is one of the most popular breakfast places in Logan (which is nice, but the standards for Logan are well below average) It's usually crowded and takes a while to get seated, order, receive food, etc. So it's a nice place to relax if you have no pressing engagements to worry about.
(3)Angela Z.
We were seated in a timely manner. The wait staff was very nice. The food came out quickly. My poached eggs in my eggs Benedict were over cooked. The potatoes they serve need to be seasoned better.
(4)Christian G.
I ama fan of Herm's Inn! This rating is purely based on their pancakes and cinnamon rolls. continuing my hunt for the best flapjacks in Utah, I finally got to come to Herm's to try their cinnamon swirl pancake. I ordered the 16' family size cinnamon swirl and like so often before, my server doubted my eating skills. This thing was pretty massive, Im not gonna lie i was bait intimidated when it came out on a pizza pan cut into pizza slices (which made it convenient for me to eat). I finished it on my own though like a trooper! It was delicious! One of the best pancakes I've had in the state of Utah for sure. The actual flapjack was really fluffy and thick, though a little more dry than I like but thats okay because it was topped with cinnamon sugar and cream cheese frosting. The cream cheese frosting was fantastic because it wasn't so sweet as it was a little bitter cream cheese tasting which i really enjoyed. The frosting on the cinnamon roll was similar. We got just early enough on a Sunday morning right before the crowds showed up so we didn't have much a wait. The price you pay for how much food you get is unbelievable!!! If you're in Logan, you gotta go to Herm's! Great food, fantastic atmosphere, friendly and prompt service, all for an unbelievable price!
(5)Joseph C.
If you're in the mood for breakfast, then this is a good option. For everything else, it is hit or miss. It is very hip, so that may or may not appeal to you.

We are from Canada and use yelp to find great places to eat and go to. This is an Awesome place to stop for breakfast. Friendly staff and nice decor! Big portions and great pies are in house!!! Well worth your time to check it out!!
(5)Mark G.
Great atmosphere in an old restored Inn and gas station. The food is also stellar. Their pancakes are HUGE. Great crispy bacon. My daughter got the Greek Skillet and loved it.
(5)John F.
Herm's is the best option in Logan for breakfast or lunch. I had their Chicken and Biscuits, and this entree has so much flavor and freshness. I would definitely recommend this spot for anyone who lives or passes through Logan, Utah.
(5)Lonnie Y.
It is affordable and the food is amazing we will be going here often! The atmosphere is great also, just make sure you get there early because there is always a long wait.
(5)Mary donna P.
Can't beat Herms for breakfast. Good variety prepared well and served fast, hot, and plentiful.
(5)April F.
Well this place is obviously "the place" to get breakfast around here. Not too much competition or places to even compare it to. When out in the Logan area, I entered breakfast/brunch into Yelp and this is pretty much the ONLY place that popped up.... With that being said. I feel the it's only right to compare this place to other breakfast places I have been to (In Utah). First off since it's "the place" to go to for breakfast, it super busy. There was a long wait to be seated. Once seated we got our orders in, but the waitress never came back. We had to ask other staff passing by for more coffee and cream. The waitress came back to give us our food which was about 20 mins later. The food.... Well it's ok. Not terrific. Pretty regular breakfast food. The pancakes we edible but not delicious. I had a chicken and biscuit meal. Which was recommended as one of their best breakfast items to order. Ummm it was alright but nothing fantastic about it. When it comes to chicken and biscuits, I have to compare it to the big bubba at Bay leaf (closed) and now at Campfire lounge (same owners). And they win! The chicken and biscuits here are "meh" in comparison. I did try the stuffed French toast they serve, and it was just "ok" too. This place does not serve alcohol either, but it was hard to find a true brunch spot in the Logan area that had mimosa's. All in all the wait staff was friendly and somewhat fast. I bet if there was another place to give them a run for their money, they'd work faster and make better food. But it is what it is. The meal was fulfilling. If I were out in the Logan area again, I would come back here for breakfast....but then again...where else would I go?
(2)Eddie P.
This mornings' breakfast special was chicken poblano enchiladas with a green cilantro chile glaze. That sure was special. Great place for a film breakfast. Wife had the Florentine Benedict and I had to sneer a piece. The atmosphere was laid back but the staff was very- (not over) attentive. Kids menu is limited but we had no problem making modifications (Mickey Mouse pancakes ). This is definitely a jewel in Cache Valley.
(5)Sean L.
To start, little crowded small restaurant. But then there's the servers, nice fast came by multiple times for refill on the ball. Second the food was just wonderful crisp fries, huge sandwhich you'll need to take home some in most cases. I just wish the hours were longer cause I just loved everything
(5)Liz K.
Ok.. We have been back to Herms a few times since my last review. The food has improved 1000 fold. The waiters are pretty good too. Haven't seen anyone cracking a bad smile at all! Lol The only thing that is off with this place is the wait time. You simply cannot walk in without a 60 plus minute wait. Having grown up in California, I am accustomed to this rather creative endeavor called the "reservation." When your restaurant overflows every day, you may want to consider this option. When you are booked (and Herms will be) there are no more reservations to take. Period. Implement. Don't be arrogant... Great food, good service.
(4)Randal S.
Best restaurant in Logan. Lots of fantastic options to be sure, but my favorite was the cinnamon swirl pancake. It's only five dollars and really could be shared by two people. The pancake is addicting and has just a bit of crispness. It's over the top.

Headed to Logan to help the BF move and turns out this is the place to be for brunch. The wait was crazy long but he ensured me that it would be worth it. He was right. Started off with some coffee which was really good. The cinnamon swirl pancake was gigantic! It had a cream cheese icing swirled on top. I can't believe the serve it with syrup! I scraped 80% of the icing off (even though it was delicious) because it was too sweet. I got a side of their potatoes and asked to top them off with cheese. Oh my, it hit the spot perfectly. My boyfriend got the juevos rancheros which he enjoyed thoroughly as well. We noticed the table next to us order a huge cinnamon roll. It seems to me the portion sizes here are definitely enough to share. The place was decorated with random knick knacks which were fun to look at as we were waiting for our food. The service was pretty nice as well. I'd definitely hit up this place again. There were a lot of veggie friendly options to chose from aside from the standard pancake and potatoes.
(4)Sadie S.
HERM'S! My first 5 star review! This is by far my favorite place in Logan. It is the place to be Sunday morning after a USU event, (go Aggies!) You may have to wait a while, but it's worth it. Everything I've had is delicious. The florentine Benedict has the most delightful white truffle oil hollandaise sauce, I dream of it. The cinnamon swirl pancake (which will feed 5) is so fun but also super yummy with their cream cheese icing. The biscuits and gravy are some of the best I've had. Not only do I love the food, I love the decor and the atmosphere and the service. It's a lovely place to spend your morning.
(5)Jagjit S.
Great place, great Food and Service. And great to see Cafè racer on the wall. Ride on Chaps!
(5)Brandy D.
Tried Herm's for breakfast based on yelp reviews, and was surprised. Breakfast was amazing. The strawberry jam was delicious. My husband asked the waiter if the chef bottled it, because he wanted to buy some. I had the wild child omelette, it was so tasty, and try the homemade hot sauce, you will NOT be disappointed, it's flavorful with just the right amount of heat. I'm telling everyone to come here. I would love to come back for lunch and dinner. This place is a definite gem.
(5)Rebeca D.
Awesome food and great dinning experience!! Can't say enough good about this place!! My new favorite brunch breakfast lunch spot!!
(5)Josue O.
This is a neat little breakfast and lunch place serving up-scale (but not pretentious) cafe-style food. Prices were very reasonable and the portions were huge. My wife got a pancake that was about 12" in diameter, served with an amazing, but not overpowering, lemon butter. I had huevos rancheros that was equally enormous. Not the best I've ever had, but good, nonetheless. A nice addition was the fresh-squeezed orange juice! The restaurant itself was pretty cool, being a nostalgic former (but redesigned) gas station. The service was very good, as well!
(4)Sara A.
The food is better than the rest in the valley, but that doesn't mean it's great. I've gone twice now and the first experience was slightly better than this morning's. We never got a refill of delicious coffee, which I thought was odd. When I asked the server he literally yelled across the room to another server to fill up my cup... I could have done that I'm just not rude. Also, I always ask if breakfast potatoes are fried but since the menu claims they're "Skillet Potatoes" I didn't ask and was surprised that the potatoes are not cooked in a skillet but a fryer. I confirmed this with the indifferent cashier. She told me they weren't going to reprint all the menus. (ok?) Doubt very much I'll go back. bummer.

Always great. Lives up to the hype. Needs to be on triple D and soon. Biscuits and gravy is the best anywhere. Always perfect. Skillets are amazing and filling. Trying the chicken and biscuits today.
(5)Jillian O.
Big portions, good prices, good food! I really like their fries and the "mac of the day." I also like the decor and view but it does get noisy and crowded. This is definitely a good spot to try if you are in the Logan area.
(4)Rebecca B.
We went here just once on a Friday morning. The french toast was cold and dry when it got to us. The veggie omelet tepid at best. We didn't see much of our waitress after we sat down. Not the best birthday breakfast I've ever had. Will NOT be going here again.
(2)Christine S.
Great food! Sucks that it's only open until food. Our server was a total b-----, however. When my friend was to order, the server interrupted her and asked if we just wanted her to come back because, "ya, know, I'm really busy." She kept reminding us how busy she was the whole time and was annoyed when we wanted her to give us water.
(3)Haley B.
I finally found the thing that makes me love Herm's: came in a couple weeks ago at around 11 and ordered the steak & portobello macaroni & cheese and I can't stop thinking about it. The steak! The mushrooms! The cheesy pasta! Truly, it was a flavor party in my mouth. Totally enamored.
(4)Alberto G.
Great atmosphere, love the building as it is so close to the mountains. Creates a great experience. Very friendly and fast service, the cinnamon pancakes were to die for. I travel to Logan, a couple times a year to visit friends. I will make sure to stop by here every time I come to Logan.
(5)Bevan E.
Quaint location, good atmosphere, great food. Fun to hit up for brunch after a morning bike ride or run being down in the river bottoms at the base of Logan Canyon. Has the vibe of Caffe Ibis. Unfortunately, they're only open early in the day. Dang we need more places like this in Logan.
(4)Mark A.
My wife's family lives in Logan so I end up visiting there at least several times per year. This place is a must to go to on each trip. I've never been there for lunch but I've found the breakfast to be great. Everything is always perfect and I've never wished that I've ordered something else. It's too bad they don't have mimosas and bloody Mary's but that's entirely the fault of the state of Utah and not Herm's. The state in its infinite wisdom has a quota on liquor licenses that's driven the price of a license past the point of handing over your first born along with your net worth. On to the service. Sometimes there is a wait but it's worth it. There are few breakfast places in town and good breakfast places are like unicorns. The staff is always helpful and friendly and they know the menu well. Sunday is your best bet to be seated quickly without a wait. Lastly on to the catering. Herm's Inn hosted my wedding rehearsal dinner a couple years ago. As they're a breakfast and lunch place the restaurant is available for private group reservations in the evening. Ken the catering manager was incredibly professional and attentive to our requests and promptly returned our phone calls. The food was wonderful and everything was perfect the night of the dinner. My only regret is that I didn't have them do the catering at the wedding as well. In my opinion the best place in Cache Valley for a private event. As an added bonus the facility didn't cost extra, we paid the per plate very reasonable price for our custom menu and exclusive use of the restaurant was included.
(5)Crissa L.
Breakfast is simple and EXCELLENT. I sometimes wish there were more interesting menu options, but if it ain't broke... The occasional semi-private dinners here are out of this world, and compare to excellent restaurants in major foodie cities! Chef Barney is the best ever, period. If you go in, pretend to ask nonchalantly if they'll ever open for dinner, maybe having more requests would get it done???
(5)Sheryl M.
This is apparently one of "the breakfast" places to go to around Utah State University in Logan. It is in an old gas station. We had to wait almost 30 minutes. Fortunately there was a place to sit otherwise you get to stand either inside or outside. It has its charm but it was VERY LOUD with no sound proofing. The chairs were a bit low as well. I got the omelet with chorizo sausage and english muffin. It was pretty good and the serving size was pretty large. Prices are decent. I didn't find it relaxing though to eat there. Nice local place however. Seemed to be very kid and family friendly. They make Mickey Mouse pancakes for kids. I thought that was cute. Bathrooms are up some stairs too. Not very good for anyone who has knee/foot issues. Service was okay but not great.
(3)Kennan B.
This place is definitely adorable. I loved the atmosphere. It reminded me of one of my favorite breakfast places in salt lake city, eggs in the city. I ordered 2 pieces of French toast with fresh bananas and a side of potatoes. The French toast was good. It was made with a lemon butter and in my opinion it would be delicious made with just normal butter. Their skillet potatoes are awesome. Next time I come here I want to try the Greek skillet. But this place is definitely a must try if you're in Logan.
(4)Kyle K.
Tasty, trendy breakfast and lunch spot we checked out after a 5k near Logan. I can see why there's such a long line--I'm sure there's a pretty big demand for brunch spots like it near USU. We arrived and were told that there'd be a 25 minute wait, but we were offered coffee and a comfy place to sit while our table was prepared. And they were honest and accurate with the wait estimate. Huevos rancheros for the wife, chicken & biscuit for me. I had a much better food experience -- nicely southern-breaded chicken, medium colored, full flavor chicken & sausage gravy over a biscuit that's fluffy on the inside, and has just a bit of crunch on the out. Very tasty. The wife's meal, not so much. The black beans were cold, and her over-medium egg was cooked all the way through, a big disappointment for her. The big pancake-- swirled with caramel, cinnamon, and a cream cheese frosting like substance, looks amazing and smells fantastic, but we were done with it after a few bites. Was the frosting too cream cheesy? Was there not enough flavor in the cake itself? Hard to say why we didn't jump on the bandwagon o'-pancake-love, but it was just fine. The decor is country-white-trash-chic, with exposed light bulbs and cardboard cutout faux animal heads. But it's comfortable and easy to enjoy. The place makes you pay for your meal at the cash register, which can make for some post-gorging waiting, particularly if the cashier is also seating other tables. 3.5 stars. Rounded up because I'm writing the review rather than the wife, with overcooked eggs and cold beans.

Went here today for the first time with my family and friends. We got there just after 12:00 and the place was packed. The food was delicious but the service was sub par. Everything on their menu sounds delicious and it was hard to choose. In our group we had the garlic burger, baja burger, BLT, grilled chicken sandwich, and the macaroni special of the day. Everybody enjoyed their food. The food tasted fresh. The burgers come on sourdough bread that is larger than the burger. Normally that would bother me but it was all so good that I didn't care. Fries were good and they have their own take on the fry sauce (it looks like they put some little spice in there; not just the normal mayonnaise and ketchup mixture). I'm surprised they're not open for dinner. The service was disappointing. When we were ready to order our waiter seemed to be absent. It took at least 30 minutes to get our food once we ordered. I wanted to ask about it but again our waiter was gone. I tried to get the attention of other waiters but they were so busy running around and it's hard to tell who works there. Only the cashier had on a shirt that indicated he worked at Herm's Inn. We came in on a Tuesday for lunch. Nothing special was going on around town; this place was just busy and I suspect it is the norm. I'm not sure why they are not better staffed. Will probably come here again but if we receive the same service then we won't be going back.

I went here for the first time for my daughters birthday the day after Halloween, was a little bugged that I had to wait over an hour to be seated but once the food arrived I was astounded and would wait 3 hours if I had to again. Food tastes fantastic and even the coffee is superb. (I'm a coffee nut) decided to go again just a week later, didn't have to wait to be seated this time and the food was still great. They plate it the food simple and still looks five star quality. Definitely a new favorite.

The Good: Cafe Ibis coffee, hollandaise sauce The Bad: Literally die of stomach pain after eating here The Ugly: I live far and I miss that Hollandaise. This place is pretty freakin awesome. The interior is like hipster/modern/woodsy.. does that work? Anyway, I obviously had the eggs benedict and some Cafe Ibis coffee. Both were fabulous. I also tried the mac and cheese. Every day they have a special kind of mac and cheese. Get it. It's worth it. Whenever I am in town I come here. Whenever my family that lives in town come here they send me a photo to rub it in. Come here. Also, I see that some people had some problems with service. I have come here twice and both times they were nothing but awesome. We have two little ones and trust me they make a mess, so the fact that the people were chill with our little hellions makes this place A-Okay in my book.
(4)Leah L.
This is at least my 4th time here and they have struck out for good with me this time on the food. The service is always good, but I have always experienced a flaw with my food, which makes it difficult to justify paying $10 a plate...especially when it is practically inedible. In the past my food had either been cold or bland. This time my food was steamy hot and fresh. However, it was also EXTREMELY salty. The side potatoes were coated in visible kosher salt. They were too salty to even eat. My eggs were salty, my biscuit was salty, everything was really salty. I would have loved my dish if they had not salted my entire plate before serving it to me. I also noticed the couple next to us did not eat their side potatoes either. My tongue is now numb from trying to eat the breakfast I paid for. When they asked how everything was I told them it was OK, but extremely salty. They just said sorry about that. I informed them that their cooks should really check the salt amount on the potatoes. They should be tasting their food to determine seasoning levels. I have never eaten saltier food before and am disappointed that I didn't go to Angie's for breakfast instead. My husbands glass of water also had something green and leafy floating in it, maybe parsley. I would advise that if you eat here always make sure your glass is clean before drinking. We have always had to send at least one dirty glass back to the kitchen. This is the last time I will go to Herms. They have just had one too many strikes in my book.

A cool breeze of southern comfort in Logan, Ut where good food is hard to find. It boasts a very hipster atmosphere with a comforting air. A breakfast-lunch place; they are always very busy! Sometimes the wait can be up to an hour long. Either arrive early or plan on waiting for a bit. The hospitality is quite wonderful while you wait though. They provide you with either water or coffee. The food has always been extremely fresh and good. Only once did my boyfriend order an omelette and it was less than fabulous. My favorite dish is the chicken and biscuits. The chicken isn't greasy and very crisp. The biscuit is absolutely marvelous and the gravy is fresh and doesn't taste like grease and flour. Overall one of the better restaurants in Logan. Highly reconvened it for a breakfast with friends or family.
(4)Jeff B.
This place is the best in Cache county for breakfast. The restaurant itself is cool with a Cafe racer hanging on the wall as you walk in. The restaurant is open and well lit. We called ahead and reserved a table for our party of seven and were immediately seated upon arrival. Our waitress was quick on getting drink orders and making suggestions on house favorites. Our party had a mix of French toast, the chicken and biscuit plate, corned beef hash, crepes, and the traditional breakfast. All of the food was delivered quickly to the table. The orders were all correct and the food was delicious. The chicken and biscuits were perfect. The chicken was fresh fried tenderloins with fluffy biscuits and gravy. This place was a great find for our group.

Stopped in here with DR and this place rocks.!! Great vibe by the entire staff and food is amazing. Had the steel cut oatmeal and it was epic.!! Great decorations and place was super clean. Fast service and didn't feel pushed or rushed to leave there. Will definitely return and come back. I highly recommend everyone stop in here and try it.
(5)Garrett K.
The breakfast is awesome. I've had one of the skillets and the huge pancake and they were both really good. Lunch is solid as well. The Baja Burger is my favorite, but the Turkey Avocado sandwich is good, too. They have a daily mac and cheese that is always good. I'm a fan.
(4)Alex P.
The food was incredible, but I didn't enjoy the atmosphere. The place was riddled with hipsters in their toms and aviators. The employee attire left something to be desired. I had no idea our waiter was our waiter until he came over after like ten minutes of sitting there in a tiny chair. The food really was amazing, but it may be better to go when the place isn't busy. Too many douchebags can definitely distract from a meal and make for an unpleasant experience. They need a "no hipsters" sign on the front door. TAKE YOUR TOMS ELSEWHERE! GO BACK UP LOGAN CANYON AND HAVE A FIRE "BRO!"
(2)Kassi K.
The prices are confusing to read. We were seated quickly which was nice. The crepes were skimpy and expensive.
(3)Grayson C.
Overall a fantastic place to get breakfast in Logan. The atmosphere is warm and fun, and building is great, and the food is delicious. Only thing this place is missing is great service, it's okay.
(4)Dave G.
After reading a few friends reviews of Herm's Inn we decided to give it try for breakfast instead of our old standby Angies. Well to be honest the food and service were both just MEH for me and the family. After I finished mine I asked everyone else because my food just wasn't that good and pretty much got the same opinion from everyone else.. I got a skillet, my wife got the biscuits and gravy and my daughter got the french toast so a pretty decent variety of menu items to compare and none were that great. I think we'll just stick with Angies.
(3)Logan D.
So good, can get a little busy on the weekends but is worth the wait. I love their tuna melt, it is the best!
(5)Taylor M.
Herm's is a magical place. That being said, I have to admit my first experience there was not as great as I wanted it to be. The food was ok but my family had talked it up so much that I was expecting something incredible. We ordered the family style breakfast which was plenty of food for our group of 5 people. Like I said it was good food but not as amazing as I was expecting. I decided to give Herm's another try because my wife craves it about once a month. I was pleasantly surprised with my second dining experience. From that point on I have never looked back. Everything that I have tried has been 5 stars (other than that family style breakfast which was pretty bland.) I usually go for a skillet because the potatoes are heavenly. The Mexican skillet is especially good. My wife is a big fan of the eggs Benedict and my brother always gets the biscuits and gravy, they are both very good dishes. You get a lot of food for your money and the atmosphere is cozy. I highly recommend this eating establishment.
(5)Tiffany W.
Amazing! Food is plentiful and so good! You will leave stuffed! We tried the cinnamon swirl pancake, which is the size of a pizza! I had a BYOBurrito and it was so yummy - their salsa was great (spicy though). My husband had The Aggie Omelette and really enjoyed it. Their potatoes are very good! We also tried a piece of the French toast and it was delectable - it was caramelized so a perfect amount of crunch. They were very busy and definitely have a laid back attitude there. Friendly, but don't expect a really quick meal when busy. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back soon!

Wife and I finally decided to visit after knowing about it for a while now. I ordered the build your own burrito (pepperjack, sausage, jalapenos) and the wife ordered the chicken and biscuits. It was good food, but I didn't think it was anything to write home about. Perhaps it was that we ordered things that most other places do, but Angies is just about the same to me. Service was a little slow, but nothing aggravating. Couldn't really tell who did or who didn't work there. The design of the places is very cool, and the booths were very spacious. We'll try it again and get something different, like the cinnamon pancakes or something, but for the price paid, I hope the next time is better.

Been here a few times since they opened, and have never been disappointed. Love their omelets, so yummy, and if you are a glutton for punishment try the oversized cinnamon rolls

This seemed like the hip place to be, but the food isn't that great. Everything was a little burnt. The atmosphere is fine, the food just isn't any good.

Stopped here on a drive from Salt Lake to Jackson based on Yelp reviews. The pancakes the size of a large pizza pie! You have to try it! Very friendly service and great breakfast for a very reasonable price.

Closest you'll get to unique and high quality food in Logan. In fact, it kind of reminds me of a few of my favorite restaurants in the Bay Area. Always ask about the daily specials because they are usually pretty darn good.
(5)John S.
We stopped on our way back home to Salt Lake from Bear Lake. Seemed to be the most interesting restaurant. Friendly service! The folks next to us got the HUGE pancake & a special was the mac & cheese with pulled pork-only $6.50! Still, I got an egg white omelet w/chicken, spinach & peppers (create your own omelet or burritos if you like). Partner got awesome chicken & biscuits! Holy cow, we sat at the "bar" & the person next to us gave some of her giant pancake when we asked if it was good.

My husband and I love to try the really local places to easy as opposed to chains. This really is as good as it gets. Their food is amazing, the staff is so welcoming and nice, and even the restaurant is designed really cool vintage-type decor. This is the best place to eat for breakfast and lunch!! Their hot cocoa is to die for too!

It had been forever since we'd been into Herm's--not any fault of theirs; with our work schedules, we often fail to make their 2 PM closing time. We had a "derp" moment a few days ago, though... why not go during lunch hour? Why had we not thought of this before?! So, we headed to Herm's for lunch. It was busy but not outrageous; we didn't have to wait. We ordered quickly and the wait for the food was long but not unreasonable; considering they seem to make everything from scratch and to order, we expected to wait a bit. Definitely worth the wait... OMG. Last time I was at Herm's, I ordered the biscuits and gravy, and really enjoyed it, so thought I'd try it again. It was even better than I remembered, and probably because they even managed to improve upon it since last time. Rather than being cut from a large sheet pan of biscuity goodness, the biscuits are now individual round biscuits, and they are tender, pillowy, heaven-sent things with a perfect, delicate, light crust on the bottom. The gravy is ultra-creamy. I want to drink it. I am salivating writing this. Husband got the chicken and biscuits, and I tried a bite of his chicken: flavorful, with moist meat and beautiful crisp crust. Did I mention they use shell eggs, not pasteurized eggs in a bag? Thank you, Herm's. Thank you. We enjoyed it so much, what did we do? We went back the next day. And ordered the exact same thing. If I could, I might give it 4.5 stars for only being open until 2 PM, and for charging $3.50 for a 6 or 8 ounce juice, but five it gets because five it deserves.

I'm really glad to find a place for breakfast away from the strip mall chain restaurant hell of Main Street Logan. The remodel and expansion of the building is well done, feeling like a mix of old mechanic shop and country barn. really nice. the location off sleepy Canyon Road is excellent. Ordered the eggs Benedict. They were good, but I didn't like the tomato slice hiding under my slice of ham. My mom ordered the crepes, which she said were good, but a bit heavy on the Nutella. I wish the bar made more than just coffee and the place was open for dinner. This would be a nice place to sip an adult beverage while enjoying a summer/fall evening.

Best place to eat in Logan, and maybe even the wasatch! The absolute perfect place for breakfast or lunch. The meat lovers omelette and home style potatoes literally keep me coming back once a week. While it sounds exaggerated and cliche, Herm's truly is the best breakfast/brunch restaurant I've eaten at in my life!
(5)Laura C.
Fantastic brunch. Loved the family size pancake. We got it "cinnamon swirl" style with cream cheese icing... Oh so good! We got a build your own omelet too (for a bit of protein), and found that only getting to choose 3 ingredients led to a rather bland taste. I would have preferred to get one cheese, one meat, and all the veggies to add some more flavor. Just something I wouldn't get next time. My husband got the Eggs Benedict, and it was fantastic. Highly recommended, just stick to their signature creations and not "build your own" IMO.
(5)Heather O.
Need a good place for a work Christmas party? This is the place. They cater in the evenings and you get the place all to yourself. The food and service was excellent. Highly recommend Herms!
(5)Wade N.
Loooong wait for overpriced mediocre food. Been there twice. Ended up leaving before being seated the 2nd time after waiting for over 20 mins. Was told the wait was 10-15 minutes.
(1)Elaine J.
Had to try this place while on a quick weekend trip. I know what I like in the city, but wanted to see what Logan had to offer. For being one of the only local breakfast joints in Logan, it wasn't bad. But, it also fell short in many respects. First of all, I knew we'd have a wait, but it was enjoyable to see the atmosphere and admire the staff for offering coffee to anyone who wanted it. We had to wait about 20 minutes, but i learned you can call and make reservations the day before or even call ahead and get on the wait list before you arrive. I was a bit bothered by this because we kept seeing people walking in and being seated immediately. After eavesdropping I recognized what was going on and thought that if I ever came back, I'd do that too. After being seated at (what I would consider) a small table we moved it out from the wall a bit and placed our condiments on the window seal. This place boasted filling breakfasts so we were making room. The decor is interesting. Nothin wrong with it. Kind of fun. Chairs.....super uncomfortable. Opt for a booth if you can. As for the food we order 2 beverage(hot chocolate and diet coke). The diet coke came in a mason jar with a handle. Kind of white trash, but it kind of fits with the atmosphere. For food we ordered one of their famous cinnamon cream cheese pancakes. I ordered the omelette with an English muffin. My husband had the meat skillet. Meat skilled was nondescript. The omelette was alright. Not a fan on mixing all of the ingredients in the egg and then folding it over. Lay them on the egg for heaven sake. The English muffin was weird. Toasted on the inside, but wet and mushy on the outside. It came on a separate plate, so maybe the plate was freshly cleaned. Either way, not a fan. The famous pancake might be for some people but not for us. Very cream cheesy and not very sweet. The pancake itself had no flavor. All the flavor was added after. They pour some caramel sauce(which if more was added could have improved the cake) and dust it with cinnamon. We thought the cinnamon would be inside, but nope. Right on top. My favorite part was the hot chocolate. Very chocolaty with little bits of sugar in the bottom. Overall we were satisfied with the breakfast choice in Logan, but in comparison to other breakfast joints it pales. If another breakfast joint were to open in Logan (besides a chain, or Angie's(a locals fave) I think this place would be left to fail, or change some things to be more competitive. If you do visit, be sure to go downstairs. They have a shared hand wash sink and they use dyson air blade hand dryers. I'm a sucker for that. You can also wait in their downstairs eating room with a giant tv.

Here's the deal with Herms: The foods good but everyone talks about it like its so amazing it can cure cancer with one bite. This simply isn't the case. I've eaten here a dozen times or so with work colleagues and I've never had anything that I thought was gross but I've never had anything I thought I couldn't live without again either. I'm convinced 90% of the people who eat at Herms do so just so they can Instagram a picture informing everyone they ate at Herms. It's good food but not mind blowing. Let's cool it saying the food must be prepared by angels. Hipsters sure, but no deity.
(3)Zane B.
This location combines amazing food with exceptional staff. I haven't found one thing I don't enjoy on the menu. I only wish it was open for dinner!
(5)Lisa B.
The menu seemed pedestrian and featured typical breakfast and lunch fare: omelets, pancakes, burgers, salads. The casually-dressed waitstaff was harried on a busy holiday Sunday and we waited what seemed to be an interminably long time for our food. We were getting worried that Herm's Inn was all buzz and no honey, and that we would be leaving disappointed and writing off the hot new eatery housed in a cool old gas station. But then our food arrived. From the first bite, all our fears and frustrations were erased. A juicy burger on an airy house-made bun. A Cobb salad filled with chunks of tender grilled chicken. A pile of can't-miss fried potatoes. Macaroni and cheese I wanted to steal from my two-year-old. Diner food, elevated. Thank you, Herm's Inn. Drink prices are steep at $3.00, but the rest of the menu is at an excellent value point. The restaurant is young, and hopefully will continue to work out service and staffing kinks to make wait times more reasonable. I'll definitely be back for more. The food is pretty good but the best part is the atmosphere. Seriously amazing views of Logan Canyon!
(4)Brett T.
My favorite place to have breakfast in Logan. Service is amazing. A local gem! Our group had the fresh blueberry pancakes and breakfast burritos. Both were outstanding. Atmosphere is fun and group friendly, with the restaurant being located in a restored filling station. A must for students, full-time residents, and a place to bring the family when they visit. You won't be disappointed.
(5)Tiana G.
I just like this place. The people who work here are super nice and probably not republican. Like all good things, you must wait to partake. If you think potentially waiting 30 minutes is too difficult, I have heard of this place called McDonalds and you should probably go there. But actually you should probably just chill out and wait because the food is some hecka dang good food.
(5)She-Wolves ..
Trendy Portlandia-esque decor, delightfully grunged staff, pleasantly hip atmosphere, big ass pancakes, affordable prices, theft-worthy dishes...a culinary must for any youth who calls themselves hipster!
(5)Amy A.
The food at Herm's Inn is incredible. My favorite is breakfast. I get the ginormous pancake (I promise you don't need more than one), topped with their lemon butter and syrup. Delicious. The staff are all cool people. One thing though...my in-laws live right behind Herm's and Herm's customers are constantly parking in front of their house. One man parked IN their driveway and when my mother-in-law asked him to move, he rudely asked her if it mattered and went on his way. Now that's just rude.
(5)Tori H.
So delicious! The sweet pancakes with the creamy swirly on it is soooo good! Everything I've tried here is always done to my satisfaction. The price is doable, and you definitely get enough food. You usually have to take home leftovers, because the portions are big! I can't wait to go back!
(5)Jake W.
A great, local breakfast diner. The atmosphere is awesome, the people are incredibly nice and the restaurant is always very clean. The food isn't necessarily the main selling point for me (like, say, a sushi place would be) but it's still solid. Overall I would recommend it to any and everyone!
(5)Trit S.
Only eaten there once, was good but wayyyyyyyyyyy too much cream cheese in the breakfast burrito.
(3)Casey e.
We wanted to give Herms ONE more shot.. We first went right after they opened and service was very slow, and the server chose to ignore the table rather than acknowledge how long the food was taking. The food was ok and we said, we will go one more time, maybe this was a bad day. We went back this past Saturday at 1pm and sat at the counter. Ordered a Cobb salad and mac and cheese. I had some very simple requests for my salad. Please toss the salad in dressing. Is everything chopped up small? yes. Awesome! Things are looking up! I was very nice and not in the last bit demanding. 30 minutes later, not kidding, we had our salad and mac and cheese. Nothing I had asked about was correct and I spent the first few minutes chopping everything, like I had asked about. The girl at the counter said, "How is it?" "Well, im sure it will be good, they just didn't do anything I asked" . She gave me a blank stare then walked away. Not a word. I am just not impressed with this place. All they have going for them is a rotating Mac & Cheese special and a cool atmosphere. Burger and home fries? no thanks. What do you have against a fryer? I won't come back.. I gave it two chances and i'd rather not give them any more money.

The owners did such an attractive job of turning an old, historic gas station into a wonderful restaurant. We had breakfast and everything was delicious and of a high quality. Our waitress was delightful and helpful. Go here for good solid food in a unique, clean and attractive atmosphere.

I've been to Herm's a few times now and it has always been a delight. How do I love Herm's? Let me count the ways. 1) Great atmosphere and a great out of the way location. 2) The wait staff is friendly and prompt. 3) The food is great. Though the menu might seem like typical diner food, it is diner food at its best. Keep an eye out for their specials especially their rotating Mac and Cheese specials. If they have BBQ Chicken Mac and Cheese, just get it, srsly. 4) Zomg, it is open on Sundays. Bear in mind it is busiest during brunch times, but it is well worth the wait. It is rillrillrill great.
(5)Mary Donna P.
Breakfast for a family of 8 on a Saturday. The wait was short, the service was quick, and the food was wonderful. Lots of fun novelties on the walls and throughout the place. Good value with the Family breakfast.
(5)Mrs. D.
The food here is great! Its just what Logan needed. We have been here several times and had several of the items on the menu and all have been fantastic. There can be a wait on Saturdays and Sundays but it is worth it. I just wish they had a liquor license so we could have bloody marys!

Herm's Inn is a delight to have in Logan, as it offers a different feel than other restaurants in the city. The first thing you will notice when you step foot in this historic building is how much high-quality work went into the restoration of the old Herm's Last Chance Inn. For old-timers in Cache Valley, this building has a lot of significance as it was historically the last place you could stop for gas or for lunch on your way toward Logan Canyon (or the first place if you were coming in to town.) A great deal of respect for the history of the building was paid through the renovation, and it definitely gives the diner a lot to look and marvel at while waiting for a meal. I dined with two others on a Sunday afternoon, and both breakfast and lunch were being served. I ordered a tuna melt, while my two co-diners ordered a cobb salad, and a cheese omelette. Our meals were delivered promptly and were very tasty. Everyone enjoyed the way the meals were cooked, the flavors were great, the tuna melt had just the right mix of cheesy goodness with a nice spice from the jalapenos. My only complaint about the experience was that my sandwich apparently could be ordered with potatoes (homestyle) or potato chips. I didn't realize that and the waitress didn't ask me which I'd prefer, so I got potato chips when I would have preferred the home fries. The chips were higher quality than Lay's brand, but did not appear to be homemade, rather they were likely "Kettle" brand chips. It was a beautiful day and in the dining room area where we sat, all of the windows were wide opened and we were able to enjoy the gentle breeze coming out of the canyon. I'll definitely be back and will recommend others try this place as well. If nothing else, it is a delicious breakfast alternative in Logan to the Village Inn/IHOP/Angie's high grease/huge portions fare people have become accustomed to.

I was invited to a wedding lunch in the late afternoon in the basement, followed by a a reception upstairs. The basement is a bit spartan as far as the decor goes. Because there was not anything on the walls and the floor is concrete, the room with about 80 people in it was very noisy. All they need to do is to put some large fabric decorations on the walls to tone down the volume a bit. Other than that I thought it was fantastic. They offered two dishes, one was chicken and the other was beef. Both were very tasty and well presented. They had an attentive staff with sufficient people to keep the meal moving. The reception was upstairs. I was very impressed with the renovation of the building. It was nicely done. The weather was perfect and so they opened up the windows in the east dining area. It made for a great reception. You felt like you were outside, without the worry of what to do if the weather changed. The manager was nice enough to let us look at a menu. After reading the other reviews and looking at the menu, I certainly need to get back and give it a try for breakfast.

I now time when I pick up and drop off my USU student so that we can drop into Herm's. It's a beautiful location with attentive, friendly wait staff serving up top-notch, reasonably priced breakfast fare. What more could one ask for? I'm particularly enamored with their homemade corned beef hash, but every piping hot plate I've seen coming out of their kitchen looks wonderful.
(5)Zak E.
Herm's is popular! A nice counter exists for those eating alone or wanting to work on the free wifi. Some reasons we return: ownership is friendly and present, cafe ibis coffee, and consistency of food quality and taste. One thing you can count on at Herm's is a fresh cup of cafe ibis coffee, consistent friendly service, and quality food from natural ingredients. My wife orders the eye opener for breakfast and the tuna melt consistently at lunch. Since its a residential area, parking west of Herms in the overflow parking lot is easy and appreciated by the neighbors.

This place would have gotten 5 stars from me if they would have just let me know... I went here for the first time with my boyfriend and two friends yesterday for breakfast. We had heard nothing but good things from our friends so we figured why not... My boyfriend ordered the pancakes and a friend the french toast.. they looked wonderful... after trying prepping them with butter and syrup it was like they were ruined! They had this lemon flavor to them.. not a big lemon fan.. we ask the waiter is there lemon zest or something in the pancakes? He replies "no it's the butter.. we put lemon in it , it's our signature" to which I reply " does it say anywhere on the menu that there is lemon in the butter?" he says "no" They should really do something about that. Put it on the menu somewhere train your waiters/waitresses to inform customers and not assume we have been there before. I wish it didn't ruin our breakfast. So, if they don't do anything about it here I am informing you...if you don't like lemon you have to ask for regular butter or your pancakes.. french toast...whatever they put butter on will be ruined.
(3)Anna G.
I absolutely love herms! I could go every weekend if possible. It has such a great atmosphere and the staff is always so awesome. One warning is that the wait can be a bit long if you go during the busy hours. I try to go either before 9 or after 11. Cafe ibis coffee is delicious. I usually get the veggie omelet or the traditional breakfast. For students they have a free pancake on weekdays with student ID card :)
(5)Chris O.
Love this place. The atmosphere is great, the service is wonderful, and the food is exquisite all at a reasonable price.
(5)Michael B.
Friendly service, great location, fun building, and the best breakfast in town. I do wish they had a full bar and stayed open for evenings too but I'm just happy this place is open in Logan.
(5)Lizzy P.
My first impressions of Herm's Inn were very positive.. open for brunch on a Sunday, in an off-the-beaten-path location that has been redone into a beautiful establishment. The place had a great vibe on a Sunday afternoon. I was able to find a gluten free vegetarian dish (the Greek Skillet), and minused the eggs on it, with corn tortillas instead of toast. The food took a long time to get out, but OK it was a little busy so I brushed it off. My skillet potatoes were way over salted, it was hard to eat with without having to put the potatoes in my tortilla to balance out all the salt. Then, half-way through my meal I found a big piece of bacon. I couldn't eat another bite. I feel like if I'm ordering an obvious vegetarian item off the menu (in fact my hubby ordered a vegetarian sandwich as well), I shouldn't have to tell my server to make sure it's vegetarian with the cook. I couldn't eat anymore of my food, I was grossed out by that point (Sorry bacon lovers, I just can't do it!). I told my server, who didn't apologize or say anything about it. We asked to talk to the manager, who spent 10 minutes chatting with the table right next to us, even when he was told that we needed to talk to him. Finally, I just walked out. Hubs stayed back to wait for the manager. He did comp our meal, but I am very reluctant to return. I really wanted to like this place, and sad that I do not. :(
(2)Jayne F.
Friendly, fast service. Tried this place for breakfast, and we will be back! The menu is plain and nondescript, but the food is awesome! We were pleasantly surprised. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the ingredients were fresh. The serving sizes were also larger than expected.
(5)Amanda P.
People seem to say they think this place is overpriced, but I'd say it's very well priced considering the quality of the ingredients used & the end result! I get the BYOB (build your own burrito) every time, it is sooo good, comes with potatoes on the side, plus some salsa & sour cream. the salsa is sooo good. I've also tried their french toast, it's a little too sweet for me but a lot of my friends like it. Nice little trendy place, unique from all the other fast-foody chain-restaurants in logan!
(4)Matt R.
Great atmosphere and service. Gourmet breakfast. We had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated on a Saturday morning but if that were not the case in cache valley I'd be worried. The servers were fun and friendly. The food was wonderful.
(5)Steve S.
Excellent food. I had the huevos rancheros - was near perfect (only perfect if in Mexico) I plan to order it again and again and again... Kids had a monster sized pancake - comes on a pizza pan - they loved it. We will be back.
(5)Marsha H.
We love this place and Ryan the manager is doing a fantastic job!! The service is top notch and the menu is creative and fresh!! Can we just talk about how amazing and interesting the decor is.....every inch of this remodel was done with a discerning eye and makes for memorable experience. I highly recommend that you try this place and being open on Sunday is a total plus!
(5)Francesco P.
It's not often you can eat in a building that was once a service station in the 1940's, then abandoned for 70 years, then turned into a beautiful roadside restaurant. Herm's Inn has some great food, even as a vegan I was able to get their greek scrambler and it was very tasty. If you live in Logan, or are ever passing by I would definitely stop by, it is just a great spot.
(5)Shane G.
Moab has about 5,000 residents and a half-dozen quirky, delicious breakfast joints. Cache Valley has 125,000 people, and (until now) no place to eat breakfast except a handful of diners serving IHOP-quality diner food. This has always struck me as seriously wrong, and Herm's is exactly what we needed. I had the huevos rancheros, which was great, and split the pancakes with my wife, which were also excellent--hints of cinnamon and lemon in the batter. They have a range of skillet dishes and omelettes, burritos, and a number of lunch items as well. Service was efficient and friendly, and the dining space is comfortable and beautiful, with room to expand if business takes off. I hope it does; this place is doing everything right so far...
(5)Joyce K.
On my first visit to Herm's the biscuits and gravy were divine--light and fluffy as they should be. I ordered the same item on a recent visit, and it was so disappointing to have dry, lifeless biscuits. They had to be pushed aside, and I settled for the eggs and spuds. Sigh. The service, however, continues to be very good. And, the atmosphere is lovely with the windows open on the dining room/patio (although canyon winds can literally rip menus out of your hands!)
(3)Ryan K.
Herm's did not meet my expectations. I went to Herm's for the first time for an event they catered. The food there was really good (e.g., wraps, chips and salsa). I went another time for breakfast and the food was pretty bland, and I haven't been back because the price isn't worth the quality. It's certainly trendy, and the food is okay but it's nothing special. You can find better food for the money in Logan. Parking is hard to find during busy times like Sunday brunch.
(3)Ruth M.
Just finished a delicious lunch at Herms. We're from Ca, but will return to Herms on each of our visits. Great menu. Service was with a smile & Robyn was the best. Looking forward to our next visit
(5)Alex L.
Great place for breakfast/brunch!

I'm finding that all reviews need to be relative to a locale. With a place like Logan, UT, this is certainly no exception. With that in mind, I was stoked to find Herm's a couple weeks after moving to Logan. Decent breakfast in Logan...on a SUNDAY MORNING?! Where do I sign up? Anyway, my 8 AM arrival found the establishment mostly empty, but as the hour drew nearer to 9, quite a few more groggy-eyed patrons shuffled in. A good sign. The breakfast offerings were pretty standard fare. Far and above what passes for a solid morning breakfast at other local establishments, but nothing that would strike me as terribly inventive. Food quality was pretty on-par with a good breakfast. I wasn't blown away, but didn't feel like I'd just consumed a Denny's gutbomb (portion size was actually sensible, unlike most Logan locales that insist on serving up 2000 calories of grease-dripping garbage for brek). I ordered corned beef and hash - if we're being nitpicky, the beef was a little too salty, and the hash was either slightly undercooked or *GASP* not parboiled; but overall still pretty decent food. Run of the mill bread offerings, but they DO have Ibis coffee instead of whatever Sysco/Rimini/Blech junk usually served around these parts (keep in mind, it is almost $3 for a bottomless cup). The interior, recently finished, is inviting and cozy while remaining fairly modern - a tough balance to strike. First Chance/Last Chance signs and vintage gas pump pay homage to the spot's former glory as the last gas station on the old highway up Logan Canyon (the building was derelict for a few decades - props to the new owners for doing an excellent restoration). My biggest thought when leaving - this place needs a patio, especially with the sound of running water and mellow road out in front. Service was, much like the food, decent. The waitstaff seemed oddly cliquish and not terribly interested in making conversation, but that's kind of what I've come to expect around here. Logan doesn't seem much a place to talk about for service industry folk, more a stopover...Can't blame them. Overall, Herm's Inn is Logan's best offering for traditional sit-down breakfast (I'd say Caffe Ibis has them beat in quality, but it's not really a brekkie stop), and a solid place to grab a bite. It'd have a tough time finding a spot in the jam-packed morning scene in say, Salt Lake or any other larger metro, but with decent food and Sunday AM availability it will do well in Cache Valley.
(4)Steve M.
very disappointed, friends recommended so wanted to give a try. Waited 20 minutes for a table, sat down ordered drinks and food 1 hour later still no food and was informed by waitress that the kitchen had not even started cooking our order. Very dissapointed so left.
(1)Kirsten N.
the French toast will blow your mind! it's sourdough and crispy and comes with amazing lemon butter and ahhhhhhh... the Benny macho is also pretty incredible. so glad Logan has finally got a great breakfast place! :)
(5)Meera M.
Soo delicious. Excellent service. Will go again!

Woke up excited to go to Herm's and try their breakfast. Found the place very nice (decor wise) but could not recommend either of the dishes my fiancee or I ordered. I had the biscuits and gravy and the gravy did not taste very good. It tasted like there was some artificial sausage flavor that was overpowering the dish. Their potatoes were also not very good, and I think I would have much preferred hash browns, but apparently that's not even an option. Coffee was almost $3 for a cup and my cup sat empty for quite some time between refills. My server was also MIA for most of the time. Better than the usual SYSCO coffee, but still not worth the price. My fiancee ordered the BLT, which had plenty of L, but of the salad greens variety with the purple leaves instead of iceberg. Not the ideal BLT. Also not a fan of the kettle chips that they serve as a side. I liked my eggs, she liked her pickle, but neither or us were very satisfied with the experience. When it came time to pay for the check, we were confused if we were supposed to pay up front or wait for our ever elusive server to come pick up our debit card and check, so that could be made clear to new guests. "Is this your first time eating here? Yes, well let me tell you about our specials blah blah blah, when you're done you pay up front." Not a hard thing to implement. Might try and go back for lunch to try a burger, but ultimately we were both disappointed and feel like that $20 could have been better spent elsewhere.

We went to Herm's Inn for the first time today, and I have to say that it's the best breakfast that we've had in a long time. It was certainly the best breakfast in Logan! Even though it was extremely busy (we went on a Saturday morning), the service was great, and the food was outstanding. We got a breakfast burrito and the crepes, and had a hard time sharing because they were so good! I think Herm's Inn might become a weekend ritual. Thanks so much for being open on Sundays!
