I've never had a problem with speed of service or quality of food here. The people are always nice and the food is amazing. I probably eat here once or twice a month. I always get a sweet pork burrito with mild sauce, enchilada style.

It is a long wait, but honestly it's always worth it once you get the sweet pork burrito (enchilada style of course) or the shrimp tacos. It's always clean and the employees do a great job at making sure the garbage is not overflowing--especially on Taco Tuesdays when it is packed with people! Speaking of Taco Tuesdays, if you do decide to go and you don't like having to wait a long time or be surrounded by hordes of people, go at 4:30 in the afternoon. Seriously, there never seems to be a soul. BUT, if you like to go for the social aspect and meet lots of new people, go between 7 and 9. It's bumping with college students! TIPS & TRICKS: * If you really do hate waiting in line, just order it in on the phone. Then drive right down, bypass the line, then enjoy your meal in the restaurant. * Try the lemonade. It is incredible. * In the summer, the outdoor seating is perfect! But in the winter get as far away from the door as possible, with so many people coming and going, you basically freeze to death--and so does your burrito. A nice place is the corner located immediately to the right when you first walk in the main doors.

Sigh. I'm sad to say I am breaking up with Cafe Rio, at least on Tuesdays. In Logan, Cafe Rio has tacos for $1.50 each, and then for two dollars more, you get rice, beans, and a drink. Basically you can a full meal for five bucks, which is a great deal. However, the crowds and really poor presentation of the food are starting to take its toll on my patience, and I no longer know if a $5.00 meal is worth it. I totally get that on deal days, there will be crowds. And since it's Logan, it's college students, some of whom will cut in line, some who will not notice the ever widening gap in front of them, some who are just generally annoying. That's fine. For five bucks, I'll deal. However, when I wait in line for twenty minutes and then receive tacos that are basically upside down in their little tin foil casing, I'm not very happy. The is sloppy presentation is extremely frustrating. What should be a hand held food is all of a sudden very messy, soggy, and unappetizing. I understand that it's busy, that almost everyone is ordering the same thing, but have more pride in what you're making. Tonight I decided to try something different. I placed a phone order instead, knowing that the prep line for food orders is different and they can control the timing a little more. I thought it might yield better results. It was terrifically easy to get food--I bypassed the almost-to-the-door line and went right to the phone order register, paid for my food, filled up my drink, and left. When I got home, however, I discovered the same disappointing results--one taco is just fine, the other is upside down in its foil. soggy, and unappetizing. Sadly, this was the last straw for me. I really like Cafe Rio, but I am not willing to wait in line or spend money on food that's thrown together haphazardly. Costa Vida offers the exact same deal, and while I don't like them nearly as much, if I get a taco craving next week i might just go there instead.

Love the food, most of the time. Our last experience was partly my bad, I should've checked the order before I left. Their online ordering is easy, they just forgot to make my boyfriends burrito enchilada style. Safe to say it was pretty dry! But their service is awesome and when you're actually eating in the restaurant it's quick to get your food. Delicious steak quesadillas!

Wow! Excellent food and super fast! We grabbed some to-go food and were very happy with it. Nachos and a huge burrito. More than enough! Not much on decor, but good straight-forward food at reasonable prices. Definitely worth a try.

My kids yelp bombed this restaurant but I've never had a big problem with the food or service. We have eaten here several times--usually get their special. My son worked at another location and my daughter won't eat here.

I'm reading the other reviews and I just don't agree with your low ratings on this Cafe Rio! I'm a huge fan and I eat at other locations several times a year, so I know how busy they are. This is a college town, so students are looking to get a great meal at a great price. Taco Tuesday is the bomb-diggety! I hope they keep it up. It's wonderful and the workers are trying their best to service everyone, especially when it's busy. The homemade fresh tortillas are the best and the sweet pork burrito can't be beat. I love the chips, salsa and guac too. Tips and Tricks.... Look at the back of your receipt. You may the lucky winner of a survey. Soooooo sloooowwwww. Food is decent but certainly nothing special enough that warrants standing in that hot (right by the kitchen) line for 30 minutes. They need a new system.

Cafe Rio is known for great quality food and exceptional customer service, but this location ALWAYS falls short of that standard. Employees are so slow and take no interest in you; they know you'll come back because it's the only Cafe Rio in the valley. The food is never on par with what you'd get at any other location. Serious disappointment and needs a management makeover. The only reason I haven't started going to Costa Vida is because I keep getting gift cards for Cafe Rio

Delicious! Tons of food (big servings) and fast service. Really good hand made tortillas for the burritos and good veg options.

Absolutely the worst cafe rio I've ever been to, it shouldn't be allowed to hold the holy name. Pork is always chunky and has no flavor, they don't cut up the lettuce so it's big and awkward to eat. Always a 20+ min line process even when no one is there. Awful.

This is the worst cafe Rio I've ever been to. Ordered a shrimp salad and they put 5 pieces on the salad. When I asked if there is supposed to be more on it, the woman played dumb and said "oh yeah, you need more!" Duh. The cashier was snotty and overall bad customer service. There was one gentleman who was trying to make things better from all the others, but was greatly out numbered.

This was, unequivocally, the worst Cafe Rio I've ever been to. Unbelievably slow. Get some more people working behind the glass! 3 of the 4 specialty drinks were empty and nobody refilled them in the 45 minutes I spent there. Sweet pork lacked flavor and my meal was lukewarm. I normally don't waste time reviewing chain restaurants, but this was just that bad.

I love Cafe Rio. The food is great. I love their salads, burritos and tostadas. If I ate nothing but Cafe Rio the rest of my life I would die a happy man. That being said, THIS Cafe Rio sucks. They are soooooo slow. I don't know how many times I've been the only person in line and still waited 15 minutes for my food. The people that take your order are okay, but the food packers and cashiers are ridiculously slow. Kick it in high gear! It's like watching sloths make Mexican food. I will only do take out from now on.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
