I had seen a lot of bad reviews so I went to this location with skepticism. I had the lunch special thai cashew chicken & pad thai. I would give the pad thai 5 stars. I also liked the cashew chicken just not quit as good. The portions are good size so it's a fair value. The only issue I have is they charge an extra dollar for their Curry dishes. I will go there again.

This is a great addition to the Thanksgiving Point area! The menu is really flexible to allow you create your meal. The food is hot and tasty and the portions are more than plenty for your money. The coconut soup was delicious! I love that there is finally an option in the TP area that isn't a chain fast food restaurant!

Background/Quaifications: Have traveled to 30+ countries over the last 10 years , countless trips to Singapore, weekends in Indonesia and Malayasia. Have traveled up and down the China border and ~ month or more in Japan. Overall a big fan of Asian Cuisine! Order was : Colleague- Pad Thai Himapan Myself- Curry in a Hurry (Massaman) w/ Chicken, Pineapple, Bell Peppers and Carrots When: 12/10/13 ~1130am Went out today with a work colleague and we just wanted a quick and easy lunch. Since it was close and we haven't tried the place yet it fit the bill just right. My colleague wasn't impressed with his meal at all. When I asked him how he liked it, his response was "Ehhh". My Curry nothing to write home about either. Very bland tasting, chicken (boiled, no flavor) was cooked within a inch of its life and stored in a metal chaffing dish. Veggies again had no flavor, nor salt or pepper. PROS: Cafeteria Style Meal (Crazy Quick) CONS: No Flavor Tips: Maybe try one of the "Fresh Entees" that is cooked to oder and not in a chaffing dish? Unless someone else was buying neither one of us will be going back. Thai Places that I have been to in the area: 1) Tea Rose Diner (BEST Thai Period) 2) Chabaar (Very good) 3) Simply Thai (Above Average) 4) Thai Siam 5) Aiyara (Horrible Service) 6) Thai Village (Greasy) 7) Thai Drift Swift (No Flavor)

My husband and I were excited to see this Thai place open up so close to us, as we are both fans of Thai cuisine. We have not tried the one in Orem, but we like this one! It is a very "to-go" restaurant, which is perfect for us. Your food is served in to-go containers, which is a plus, since the portions we got were very large and enough for three meals for me. My husband and I both got the swift curry. The large size is $7.99. I chose the chicken, bell peppers, broccoli, and red curry. The guy working gave me sample cups with the red and yellow curries so I could taste each one before getting it. The masaman curry had run out at the time. My husband got beef, baby corn, and bell peppers in red curry, and he very much enjoyed it. I thought it was a good meal. The chicken was not over cooked and the vegetables were fresh and crunchy. I wish there had been more vegetables, as it seemed like we didn't get many. It came with a fairly sizable side of rice, which I quickly combined with the curry. The curry itself was good. It was slightly spicy, but very sweet. I wish it had been more savory than sweet. The curry and meat is kept piping hot in a big metal drum in a hot water bath. The vegetables were kept in a cooler behind the counter. Overall, it's pretty good for the price. I got three meals out of the one order, which is awesome. I'm sure we will return.

I love Thai food and travel for a living and have eaten it all over the country. The Red Curry here is the best!!! If you don't like it...you have issues and should seek professional help! Thank me later.

Please do not waste your money. Simple order of Chicken Pad Thai to go and it was terrible and over priced. Chicken was dry the noodles where bland and veggies well lets just say yuck. Half the box was filled with rice and I counted four pieces of chicken total. No flavor at all not even a hint of pepper. If you value you digestion system dont foul it with this.

First off, let me start by saying this was my first venture into Thai food, so take the review below with a grain of salt. I had read good things about the Orem Thai Drift location so I was excited when I found out a new Thai Drift location was opening up here in Lehi. However, after eating there my excitement has diminished. This new location is basically setup in a fast food style unlike the Orem location which was setup as more of a sit down restaurant. The inside appearance was rather sparse but clean (as it should be given it is a new building). The food is kept in metal bins in what I assume is a water bath to help keep them warm. The basic premise here appears to be that they offer several varieties of options that you can then combine for minor variations of the dish. To start with I got the curry/entree special they had. Curry - after talking to the server for a few moments I selected the Red curry with potatoes, carrots and beef. Unfortunately I cannot compare this curry to others as I have never had another curry previously. That being said it tasted basically like coconut milk with some curry and spices in it. Overall too sweet for me and the flavors just didn't seem to mesh well for me. Garlic Chicken - for the entree I went with the Garlic Chicken which was served with a side of long white rice. The garlic chicken was over cooked, fairly dry and had way too much garlic and other spices on it, making it so that the chicken wasn't very edible by itself, but was ok if eaten with a spoon full of rice with each bite. Overall I found the food to be overcooked and generally bland except the garlic chicken which was too heavily seasoned. I found I did not overly enjoy the flavors and have determined that the best part of the meal was the plain white rice that while not spectacular was at least decent and familiar. I deducted one star for the poor flavoring, and another star for poorly cooked items. Now keep in mind that I am new to Thai food so it is entirely possible that these flavors and overly cooked items are standard fare in most thai restaurants. That being said it is simply not something I am likely to go back to. Recommendations: - I cannot say much on the flavors other than that I did not find them particularly appealing, but as I do not know the appropriate flavors for thai food this could simply mean I generally don't like thai food and may not be anything specifically against this restaurant. - The rice while "good enough" could be improved by getting a higher quality jasmine or basmati rice which would be more aromatic and a better cooking method could prevent the rice from clumping together unnaturally. It was a long grained rice though I couldn't say for certain which type. It was not very aromatic which can be a combination of the rice type, quality and/or cooking method. And the clumping of the rice is likely due to the cooking method. I have had far worse rice in Utah and while this rice was OK, there is definitely room for improvement in this category.
