Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Same as all of the other Utah-ish mexican joints, ie. orange cheese, everything smothered in rough chile verde (with dry chunks of pork)... with a few exceptions: - They have a fireplace you can eat above... I like this - Great service, unless you get the owners kid, who slams everything on the table, and behaves generally like an entitled angry teenager should act. - Mexican steak/Encebollada are great plates (without sauce smoother). - Clean, bright, new decor.

Ate here years ago and have never been back. I remember wondering if this place is a cover for so other kind of business it was that bad.

DISGUSTING! Nasty nasty food. They claim authentic Mexican food, but there is nothing authentic about it. The service was alright, but the food was terrible. I had a beef burrito, and the beef smelled and looked like it came from a can. The food was just all around nasty. I took a few bites and left for Del Taco to wash the flavor out of my mouth.

I went to LA Puente in Midvale years ago and it was good. So I was excited to see them come to Lehi. Boy was my excitement was short lived. This place has sure changed over the years or I just hit the visit up north on a good night. I gave this new location a few attempts and I have to say it is just quick microwaved out of a can food. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

death to the smothered in greasy orange cheese quasi-authentic Mexican joints, for real. I can only attribute ending up here to long-term memory loss, having previously established my hatred of Mi Ranchito, La Frontera, La Puente, et al. I'd rather experience that hell that Sartre described of endlessly being shouted at by other people at Cafe Rio than eat this güero-pandering fare (full-disclosure, I am the güeroest of the güeros), but I will probably forget and end up at one of their locations again, so I can only hope that someone will point me to a menu option more palatable that the combo plate. as far as a critique of the food is concerned, my co-worker's comment of, "I think this chicken came from a can," is sufficient. on the upside, while a bit pricy, the portions are quite large.

Waited 50 minutes for food. Drink and chips ran dry. Food not bad but definitely not worth what you have to go through to get it.
