The waitress here was so nice and pleasant that I could not resist giving this place a review. I'm not really a fan of their home-made ground beef crumble burgers (so strange, you have to try it!), but the malts here are delicious- no... fantastic! Not stuffed with sugar but instead with refreshing ice bits. The interior mood here is also very pretty with a modern 50's twist.

Maid Rite is the newest on my list of great dining in Layton. It was suggested by a fellow foodie in the family that I give this place a shot. It did not disappoint. The menu is a perfect example of picking a few things and perfecting them. Our waitress was very helpful. I took her advice and tried the turkey-mac. It's incredible. I'll be back to try a shake next time. The menu is a la carte, which I like. The fried chips are amazingly good and crispy without being soaked in grease. (I'm talking to you, moondog's) The only complaint that I would have is the early closing time. 8 is a bit too early to close - in my opinion. I also like to see the owner behind the grill. It lets you know that they are passionate about their restaurant and they care about what they are serving you.

Was greeted with a very friendly worker and continued to get great customer service for my entire visit. I got the pulled pork sandwich which was excellent. The bun was really soft and the meat was full of flavor. Everything tastes fresh and the store is very clean and appealing. I will definitely come back.

Went here with my mom and wife. Mom got the cheese rite. It's pretty much a sloppy Joe minus the tomatoe sauce and cheese added. She LOVED it. Wifey had the cold chicken pesto sandwich. Didn't like it. The chicken is smoked. Which totally fights with the pesto flavor. If the sandwich was hot and the chicken wasn't smoked it would have been pretty good. I had the pork tenderloin sandwich. It's sooooo good. The pork is gigantic as you can see in the pic. I should have asked for no ketchup or mustard though because that kind of made it taste cheeseburgery. I had mashed potatoes with it, which were very yummy. Wife and mom had cheese fries. Which are smothered in this rich delicious cheese sauce. Pretty good diner food :)

Down to earth food at a great price. A true home style diner with moms cooking. Great service, friendly and charming. Open grill cooking right in front. Very clean and well maintained. I had the cheese rite with swiss. Darn good. Fries were piping hot and delicious. A col spot to stop in with the family too.

I have been here a few times and I love it. The Italian cream sodas are done right, my husband loves the nutella shake, and out favorite entree is the turkey Mac. All so good. The coleslaw was also delicious, but it gave me wicked heart burn, but I was pregnant so we will blame it on that. Our most recent visit was the best though. We went to walk in 5 minutes before close and I asked if we were too late, the owner told us to come on in. We didn't feel rushed and we were glad to have the good food.

We opened a business near here and visited for the first time! What a superb bunch of people! Had the opportunity to try some food and shakes- wow! Great prices, super friendly people and I know we'll be sending our customers here while they wait for their cars!

My son and I tried this place after seeing it from the del taco drive thru so many times since we get quesadillas and fries at least once a week. After checking out the menu online I was intrigued by the loose meat sandwich and decided to give it a go. The maid rite with mozzarella was pretty tastey. The cheese was melty and it had pickles so I was happy. My son had the nuggets and fries ( he's 5 ) and since he stole my root beer he was pleased as could be. The service was awesome and friendly like we were family. The price was right for all the food we had. I will definitely go back. I'd like to checkout the tenderloin sandwich.

When I found out there was a Maid Rite in Layton, I could not wait to get back to Utah. My sister and I are both from Iowa (she lives in Utah, I live in Las Vegas), where the Maid Rite originated. We had eaten them for years in Fairfield, so we had high expectations for this place. We were not disappointed. The Maid Rite was spot on. Well, almost. Ours back home were served with rehydrated dehydrated onions on them. The fries were hot and crispy and I should have gotten a chocolate shake to dip them in. My sister had the pork tenderloin...which she said was just as she remembered. The only two things missing were the Hootman's behind the counter and the pie case on the counter. The kids working were very friendly and courteous. The prices cant get any better. We will be returning. Thanks Maid Rite, for giving us a little piece of home.

Sloppy Joes without the tomato sauce. Better than it sounds, but it won't live up to your hopes that it will be amazing. Decent shakes. I wouldn't avoid going back, but it's not going to be put on my regular rotation.

Food was ok but not great, they need to put more seasoning on the ground beef burger. Probably better off going to Burger King 3 doors down and getting a real burger.

My daughter and I were the only ones there, so the staff was very attentive. My daughter and I had the Pulled Pork sandwich which were great. The meat is smoked in house. My daughter had the fried cheese curds which were delicious and I had the Onion rings which were also good. Both the cheese curds and the onion where a bit greasy, but good. The malts and floats are also really good.

Food was good but not great. They call it chopped beef but it is more on the ground and browned side. Waitress was very helpful and rfiendly when explaining the menu and about the restaurant. I would go again

It's just good food. The origin with American cheese and chili cheese fries. Hit the spot. My wife even said that it is something she would crave.
