We went to this location with a large group and were shocked when we were told that for each small container of ranch we requested there would be a charge of 60 cents each! We ordered onion rings, fried pickles and buffalo chips and none of them came with ranch, but we could get it for 60 cents per container! I think that is very poor customer service. What is next, will they charge for extra napkins?

I had a great time here on Tuesday for $.065 wings with my family. The waitress Chelsee was awesome. Great personality and made sure we always were comfortable. I love buffalo wild wings, but this one definitely made an impression on me.

Well being from out of town on business i was staying at a near by hotel... I had heard of the name and heard there was something special about BWW... I located this one in Layton and decided to check it out... For my first experience last night. A NOTE FOR THE MANAGER- Initial impression was great! Was not as packed as I would have expected but a seriously staffed location... It seemed to be about 2 servers to a table?... Tv's galore! Good eats!... I was a bit bummed that the beer is watered down 3.2 but not the reason for the soft score.. To clarify.. I was there with 9 co workers.. I am not in any kind of restaurant business, however I am in customer service industry... I oversee several locations that service thousands of customers monthly... And I must say that as being in upper management this location needs help! There appeared to be too many chiefs not enough Indians. They gave us 1 server for us 9 as well as the other 12 or so in the bar area..?... It took FOREVER.. To get a beer as well as food (chips and salsa/dip)... To be frank ..collectively we ordered light, quick, easy food due to the fact of who knows how long a regular meal would take. I believe our server name was Megan or possibly Melissa she did a great job but it seemed when we needed something she was nowhere to be found??? Matter of fact the 3 or 4 different times we needed some type of assistance we managed to find a different person EVERY time?.. Megan was doing her absolute best.. But just absolutely swamped... And 1 other server (different from the 3-4) I mentioned earlier.. Assisted her 1 time to carry a beverage out (because Megan didn't have enough hands) and it was spilled by the other said server... In my professional opinion.. This location is poorly managed... There is definitely a scheduling conflict or a teamwork issue... For a sports related theme ...Maybe the manager needs to actually watch a game or two and figure out what team work is about... 1 time She was assisted with a drink... The rest of the time she was left high and dry... Including ringing us all out. Did I mentioned we all payed separately?.... She did an excellent job with the circumstances she was under never once loosing her cool while she got to watch 3 or 4 of your other employees stand around (I assume collecting a paycheck). If your profit margins are not where they are forecasted to be this year you will only have your self to blame... This didn't seem as if it was a one time occurrence either it seems to be "SOP" (standard operating procedure) for a few of your employees... So in closing- this will not forever make my opinion about BWW. I will return to the new one they just finished building in town I live in....The food was great the service we did get was great.. I look forward to the next visit to a BWW

Wings are best in area... A bit pricey tho

Worthless service! Wings are sub-par. Boneless wings are over-breaded and in my case dry. I've visited many BWW's out-of-state. This one has a long way to go.

The food was good, but the service was probably the worst I have ever had, and they weren't even that busy.

Went with 8 other people for lunch. Business was booming, not surprising considering they had only been open 2 days. I used to frequent B-dubs in Texas when I was stationed there and loved it. I was hoping that it would be the same food and same experience. We were seated almost immediately and found out that Tuesdays are 60 cent wing day!! We all ordered a slew of wings and asked for some of the buzztime play machines. Unfortunately, it took 30 mins for our wings to come out, but again, it was lunchtime, they were slammed, and they had only been open 2 days. Surely they have some tweaking to do before things are running at full steam. The wings we got were delicious, most were big and meaty with just a few runts among them. The sauces were excellent and slathered on the wings evenly. Our server was awesome, understanding that we were in a little hurry, brought our checks out so that we could settle and get out when we were done. All in all, as soon as they work out the kinks I think they will be my favorite wing place again.

We were four adults and we went to Buffalo Wild Wings in Layton to watch Monday Night Football. It was noisy and bustling; the televisions were plenty and pretty loud. Could have been turned down just a notch. Our server was very nice, and she explained that a couple of people had just quit without notice so things were a little hectic. I appreciated the apology. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip with pita chips, and we ordered wings. The pita chips were not fresh. A very nice kid named Terrel brought several different sauces for us to try. He was very friendly and polite. My brother and his friend ordered onion rings and boneless wings. They didn't rave, but said their food was pretty good. The spinach artichoke dip was pretty good, but tasted kind of like it came out of a can. I really don't think it was homemade. The wings were great! They were hot, and fresh cooked. The blue cheese dressing, on the other hand, was definitely not homemade, and also tasted like it came out of a can or a bottle. I didn't drink beer, but I had three glasses of red wine. I was the only one at my table who had alcohol, so can't review the assortment of beers they had. All in all this was an okay experience. I would go there again, and if it were less busy I would ask them to turn the TV audio down just a hair. One additional pet peeve of mine was that they brought the check a little too early in my opinion. I prefer to request the check when I am ready to go, especially if I am trying to watch the football game. I felt like they were trying to get us out of there for the next bunch. We ended up leaving near the end of the second quarter and went home to watch the rest of the game. Sports bar? Hmmm...

We had a good time. It was our last night altogether. We had a great time someplace else, and this place was opened for food late. The service was slow, but the male server had 2 or 3 tables to attend. The wings were delicious to my hubby and me. Two friends thought that the wings should have had the flavored sauce on the meat and not on the heavy oiled and hard fried skin. While this was a smaller version of the ones in Oregon, it still had many tvs, comfy seats for large groups, a bar, and nice guest services that smile and make you feel welcomed. At 11pm at night, on a mid weekday night, there were not that many people. The service was slow, that is my only complaint.

This Buffalo Wild Wings seem to clean itself up from when I first visited them. They are located just next to the Layton Hills Mall. There were a lot of controversies with the service and ambiences when it first opened. They still have a lot of TVs up top with different sports channels. I believe you can request to play trivia games here. The music was no longer set to the volume level at "I-cannot-maintain-a-conversion-with-the-person-sitting-in-front-of-me", and our server recognized our existence. They have some interesting lunch special choices now. I made the mistake of upgrading from snack to small on the wings, they portion was actually too big, and I could not finish everything. They actually have a decent tortilla soup here. If you are getting wings, bone-in or boneless alike, be sure to ask for the Blazing sauce... no need to sign a waiver. I would put them on par with regular Thai spicy level. Buffalo is a good median if you are not sure, otherwise go for the wimpy stuff that I do not even remember the names of those sauces.

Three out of the past four times my take out order has been incorrect. Because it really isn't worth it to drive all the way back there to fix the order, I put up with it (usually missing sauces and cheese on the potato wedges). However, when I order The Sampler and my wings are not included, that is where I draw the line. I know I should probably triple-check my order before I leave, but I really shouldn't have to dig through the food several times just to make sure the sauces are there and everything that should have cheese, does. Especially when other customers are waiting in line behind me. But because 75% of the time my order is wrong, that's exactly what I'll be doing, if I go back. I can certainly understand missing a few things here and there when it is a busy weekend during a major sporting event, but when it's a Monday night during the off-season of just about every major sport, and your diner is only half full, your kitchen has time to make sure they are filling the orders correctly. The food is great, and that's why I keep going back. But sometimes it is not worth the poor customer service I have experienced the past few times I have gone in.

I've eaten here a number of times and love the salt and vinegar bone-in wings with veggies. The service is always prompt and friendly. The trivia playmakers seem to be an after thought here and aren't working every time. We enjoy the trivia but dislike the hassle of fighting with the playmakers. Going early for lunch is the best bet.

This is only my second time eating at this restaurant and my first time to this location. The service people were very nice and inviting and the food was good. I ordered 5 Parmesan and garlic wings with 5 chipotle wings (all boneless) and a Caesar salad. While my friends wings were brought in separate containers all ten of mine were put on top of my salad. I had to eat through my wings to get to my salad which didn't have a lot of Ranch (I asked for more). Overall good experience yet not pleased with the presentation. It felt like they didn't put as much care in to my meal as they did my friends meal.

This was an interesting experience. We sat in the bar, and initially had a male server ask us for drinks. 5 minutes later, a different server, a female, asked for our drinks. I kind of had a good hunch what was happening, as the table next to us were females, and he was serving them now. Not a huge deal, but just felt weird. Our party later turned into 9, and the move to a new table was fine, and we are easy to accommodate. Only a handful actually ordered food, we all came just for drinks. The service was fine throughout the night. The Parm/Garlic wings did not taste anything like I usually order at BWW. It seemed to missing the little bit of kick it normally has (I'm thinking red pepper flakes in the sauce). The server also got one of my drinks wrong, but I already had a sip, and kept it anyway. Overall, the experience was just OK.

My first visit will be my last visit. Upon entering there was no one to greet us, and after we waited a few minutes... We walked into the restaurant that was clearly not busy and told to sit in the bar or wait back in the entryway. We walked back to the entryway and waited.. Which was ridiculous as the was just one customer inside the restaurant. The server came up and had its walk back in, and sat us at the same table that we were headed to not five minutes before. On our way in the waiter noticed my wife had a cup with her drink in it, and said "we don't allow outside drinks" my wife had a completely full drink that she had just purchased at the mall, which is attached to the restaurant. How completly ridiculous that they would rather have a customer not spend $25+ on a meal and lose one drink sale. I said, she just bought this... I guess we will just contact the manager and tell them of our experience. The manager Claimed "food safety" This is entirely total bullshit, its based on the markup they make on soda. We didnt plan on going to this restaurant until leaving the mall. The fact that their markup on a single soda was so important to them rather than gaining a happy customer is reason enough to never return.

So-so. I've been here 7-8 times with friends & the latest opinion is that it's time to find somewhere else to go. Judging by the other reviews, I'm not alone in my experience with hit & miss service. The reason for the change in opinion about this place is actually because of the food. I don't mind waiting 15 minutes for wings, but when those wings come out, they better be fresh cooked. This last visit I had a few wings that had clearly overstayed their welcome under the heat lamp. The chicken was dry. Not just over-cooked dry, but hours under a heat lamp, no moisture, almost like jerky dry. There's a reason they don't make chicken jerky. From the beginning I've had problems with the drinks. They offer a few different types of lime- and lemonades. I've tried every one of them, and if you aren't careful about it, you'll get a glass full of syrup. My wife and I have taken to ordering a limeade and a sprite so that we can cut the sugar. Sadly, it looks like management isn't listening because the tepid reception of this restaurant seems to be declining. Time to move on.

Service is always excellent here. Even when the place is filled with people, the employees still know how to show you that they're caring and attentive. I love that they are open til 1 AM on most days, so I can get my late night wing fix! They've also got 60 cent wings on Tuesdays which is another reason why I keep coming. I just wish they sold pitchers of beer, but a single draft will do.

Monday late dinner, we've never been to a Buffalo Wild Wings before. The plus side, we got to try a selection of sauces, play trivia, and watch 25 big screens simultaneously. Service was quick. Mediocre side, food wasn't particularly good or bad (tasty but nothing special), beer selection wasn't stellar (not a wide variety). Down side, as long as servers are responsive and working hard, I rate them well. This group seemed like we were bothering them when we ordered. It was like they were saying all the correct words but they didn't mean them. Maybe it was a long day for them? Whatever, it was distracting and the restaurant lost a star. Life is too short for two star restaurants.

Wingsssssss! 5 star for me. I come here every Tuesday (.60 wings on Tuesdays, I know I'm cheap) always leave satisfied. My iPhone somehow knows every Tuesday that I will go to Layton and tells me how long it would take to get there, I go to Buffalo Wild Wings that much. I usually go at odd times when it's slower than usual, so the service has always been good for me. But let's be real. I'm there for the wings.

The few times I've gone there, in each instance the wings are overcooked- almost petrified. Pretty disappointing since this place is about wings.

They always have the best and freshest food for a sports grill that I have ever had. I love their new menu items they seem to have every other week. Dont come here when there is a game on or you will be waiting hours for a table. Service has always been amazing.

Pretty Disappointed, maybe its just cuz i was expecting more of a bar bar but its more like a family restaurant with lots of TV's to watch sports. We had 18 peace wings and we got to pick 3 flavors to have, we picked: Hot, mild and spicy garlic. I didnt mind the hot ones, my husband and brother-in-law didnt like them. I didnt care much for the mild but the boys said that was the only one they liked....men. haha. The hot was a little to hot with not so much flavor and i felt like the mild was bland. Garlic ones where ok i guess. To be honestly we all agreed Wing Nuts is where we would rather go. But eveyone has there own opinion.

Update: We had visitors in town and had an opportunity to go to BWW during the late afternoon on a Tuesday when they have their bone in wing deal, .60 each I believe. This was a great way to try several types of sauces at a reasonable price. The wings were great, servers were abundant and helpful since we were there during an off time. Very good visit, much better than the first, hope to make it back on a Tuesday again. Original review during first week open: Wing chain joint that recently moved into our area. Went soon after opening so I will refrain spending too much time on the service which was slow but understandable. Food was OK. I do not like the way they do their wings, the smallest number of wings you can get is 6 bone-in or 8 boneless for $7 or $8 respectively, so if you are not in a large group you do not have reasonable options for trying a variety of sauces. The boneless wings were way over breaded, that combined with the fact that I only got one sauce made for a tedious meal. I will try again when they slow down a bit, I will go with bone-in next time and see how that works out.

I turned invisible too!! I wonder if one of the tables in the bar area is like the Beermuda Triangle? Spooky! I entered around 11:45 on a Wednesday morning. Since I was eating alone, I opted for "self-seating" in the bar area. After about 10 minutes of sitting, and being ignored, two guys walked in and sat at the bar. A waitress/bartender immediately materialized from the back and asked for their order. I had seen enough so I left, never to return. On my way out, the girl who had guided me to the bar 10 minutes earlier said, "bye! Thanks for coming in." Apparently they don't see PEOPLE walking in and out... Just shapes (and the shape they see is $$$). I guess this is just one more reason for me to shop local. This time I went to Rooster's across the street for a nice lunch. Next time, I'll hit up Wing Nutz

Went here with a large group to watch the college national championship and have dinner. Everybody who had wings thought they were bad, including myself. I don't know why the wings were bad other than to say they didn't taste like they were freshly cooked. A bit spongy and not very warm. You would think they would have tasted better considering it took over an hour to get our food. They were extremely busy so I understand the kitchen was backed up but the waitress made no attempts to apologize or even explain what was going on with our food until someone finally asked out of frustration. We had nachos for an app that were pretty disappointing. They tasted fine but the toppings were sparse. If you can imagine someone throwing a handful of chips on a plate and scattering some precooked meat/bean concoction and Nacho cheese around then you've got it. They did throw on some fresh jalepeno slices which was a nice touch and the only thing that left a positive impression. Otherwise everything was good, plenty of TVs and a good atmosphere for watching a game.

I took one of my kids here today for lunch. I hadn't been for awhile and wings sounded really good. Typically, I have found the service at BWWs to be very lacking. I had an average experience at this location the last time I went, and I was very pleasantly surprised during this visit. The staff was great from the host to the server. Our server was very engaging and offered great suggestions. The manager stopped by to check in, which is normal at many restaurants, but I haven't ever had this at BWWs. I chose some mild wings, and they really hit the spot. We also ordered the fried mushrooms, which came with a really good dipping sauce. The kids menu wasn't huge, but still have a few good options. My daughter went with the corn dog bites and seemed to enjoy. The food came very quickly, which was also a big change from previous visits. I will probably go back at some point since the service seems to have turned around.

Good drinks, good food, and semi-okay service. Our guy server wasn't really attentive to our order; didn't write anything down and had this blank stare when we were ordering. o.O 15 minutes went by and finally a female server came by with waters. I had to ask about my huckleberry limeade. She walked over to the register where our original server was and said: "She ordered a huckleberry limeade. Did you even put that in?" He replied: "Ooohh, no, I forgot. S*%^. They had something else too...ooh, what was it?" And then stood there trying not to make eye contact, but thinking. Eventually, the guy came by and made some lame excuse: "Don't worry, your drink has to be made by the bar so it should be out shortly. They are a bit backed up." (No, they weren't. There were literally two groups of service men and women drinking soda and water and one other table of 6 guys drinking beer. So, unless the bartenders were brewing the beer, this excuse was totally lame aside from the fact that I heard him admit he had forgotten.) The good thing, though, is the general manager totally cleared up our order and made sure we were taken care of, so our dinner wasn't a complete loss and we left on a pleasant note. The next day, we were craving the Asian Zing sauce so we called to order takeout around 4:30 pm. Sadly, I was promptly put on hold for 7-8 minutes. (I know this because I literally watched the seconds turn into minutes on my cell.) I think the hostess forgot there was a call. But once again, the manager answered and took the order, repeated it back, gave me a total, and an estimate time to swing by. Seriously, if it weren't for the manager, I don't think I'd be back or have given this place 4 stars. I know jobs and grateful employees are hard to come by these days, I just wish the manager at this location could find better employees with good work ethics for his business. I have a Bartending license, Tips certification, and a brain. Hire me. At least the bar wouldn't be "backed up."

Great service by our server. We went on a very busy Friday night and were able to sit in the bar area without waiting. Food.. Was not good. We ordered enough for 3 sauces. None of them were good. We ordered the blazing and they came out cold. Now again the service was good- she checked on us in a timely manner, she fixed it quick, they brought out a whole new 6 batch of them and they were clearly new cooked and hot! We ordered the buffalo chips- they were just slices of potatoes.. Soggy chewy potatoes. I would recommend Wing Nutz or Trolley Wing Co.

Move on, nothing to see here. - Loud. - Just ok food. - Confusion all around. - VERY slow service. Checks were wrong and without exaggeration; waited over 45 minutes to finally get a check and pay. If you get Layne as a server, ask to be reseated. Bad attitude/big ego. Should probably work in a tire shop, not serving people. Fortunately, he was one of 6 people to assi.... Errrr.... Attempt to assist us and he was rude. I'm not sure what kind of business model is being employed here, but it ain't workin. WING NUTZ is a few blocks away and though I'm not real impressed by them either, I'd recommend going there or staying home as an alternative to the boisterous disaster of Layton Buffalo Wild Wings.

I hadn't heard of BWW before, but when they started to build in Layton I became interested. As the time drew near for opening, a large banner was hung outside the building "Free wings for a year for the first 100 customers". People began camping out 3 days before the opening. These must be some darn good wings for folks to camp out three days in advance. So, after the hoopla of last weekend when they finally opened, I decided to check it out today. As I walked through the door there were a few customers waiting to be seated, and swarms of employees buzzing around. Some punching in what I guessed were orders, some seating people, some serving, some bussing. I was taken at just how many employees were on hand. They easily outnumbered the patrons. When my turn came at the host desk, I told the young lady that I was by myself. She said that I could be seated at a table inside or on the patio, or in the bar area. I opted for the bar area and she said that I was then welcome to seat myself. I strolled to the bar area toward the back of the building and sat at a table. I perused the menu while I waited. Employees were swarming behind the bar, and several shuffled past me. No one bothered to say "Hello" or even look at me. I sat for at least 10 minutes while the same servers whizzed by in and out of the kitchen, in and out of the bar. Still no one bothered to ask if I had been helped. Another couple came and sat a few tables away from me and within a minute, a server bustled up to their table and apologized that it had taken so long. I waited another minute or so, but still no one looked my way. I guess I must have accidentally turned invisible when I walked in. I'm sure it was my fault for expecting to be served in a restaurant chockfull of servers. So, I picked my ghostly self up and floated through the sea of flurry and commotion and no one bothered to inquire if I had enjoyed my food or if the service was acceptable. If you choose to venture into this establishment. Make sure you don't turn invisible and let me know how the wings are. I'll be at Wing Nutz.

I was a regular customer in Vegas . So when I heard Utah was getting them I was pretty stoked! Then you hired a staff of idiots and crappy cooks . The food was bad and the service was even worse ( twice) we felt rushed to leave before we even started , our servers were mumblers , like reading from a script of how to be a server. Don't waste your money or time , wild wings is a great place , some place else , Utah needs much help getting to the wild wings I used to love. Stick to wing nuts or slack water until the much needed work is done to Layton wild wings , cause you have no clue about the Buffalo -

I have been to several BWW's and loved it. I was happy to see one in Layton as I'm a local. But, somehow this one was a huge disappointment. The service was terrible, like we were invisible. Ear splitting music (I like loud but really?). Even the wings seemed dried out. All my friends agree. I like BWW, but never again this one.

Me and my friends go there about once a week. We always get really good service sometimes it can be slow but we don't mind it just gives us time to talk about everything and watch the games that are going on. On the 27 TV's they got. the wings are excellent very good I absolutely love them B-dubs is really a great place!!!

I fancy myself as a buffalo wing connoisseur and had to try this place when opened. I only ordered a 'take-out' order of 24 'wild' style traditional wings: Wings were hot- that's a good thing, buffalo wings should heat your mouth up. Wings were a little peppery in the flovor. Red/chili/black(?) not sure, but peppery. A nice helping of blue cheese dressing came with the order, that was nice. Price was only slightly more tolerable than your typical over-priced wing joints west of the Mississippi. I'll probably go again before football season's over, but nothing spectacular.

I have to temper my review with the fact that I don't really like chicken. I did however try one of the hot wings (with the "hot" sauce on the menu). The sauce was good, and since that was all I could taste, it wasn't so bad. The rest of the food and the service however, were lacking. My DH ordered 2 5-piece wings in "hot" and in "spicy garlic". I ordered the black bean burger with everything on it and a side salad with Asian dressing. We ordered the pretzels with dipping sauce to share. Like I mentioned, the wings were good. The time they took to come out was a little ridiculous. I received my meal at least 15 minutes before they brought out any wings. Isn't this what they are known for? They should be able to whip those up fast. And if not? Don't bring out the other meal and make the person eat it all in front of the foodless individual. Plus, no apologies for the discrepancy. As if, this is just the way they do things. The black bean burger was just okay and a little on the cold side. The salad was not the freshest and the dressing didn't have great flavor. The pretzel bites were warm, fresh, and good. They have A LOT of tvs with all different sports playing and even the "Speed" channel was on. For a sports bar, even Iggy's is better, and definitely has better service.

What a fun experience! The customer service here was fantastic. My drink was always topped off and, as it was my first time, they brought a sampling of sauces for me to try and gave the spiel on how it all worked. I don't even like watching sports, but the environment was so fun and inviting. The staff was professional yet very relaxed, a great combo!

I hope they check this. Football sunday is busy. I like to have a place to go root for my team. I would also like to have a place where I can root with people of my team. I think it would be great if I can walk into the front and have the hostess ask me what game I would like to watch so I can watch it with my fellow teammates, and have some audio to go along with the video. If I can go there is sunday and see they have the games organized, I would gladly change this review.

I was disappointed in this location. My family and I were there on 02/17/15 for my son's Birthday and was just not a good experience. I have been to other locations for birthdays and the difference was night and day. First thing no one sang Happy Birthday, No announcement was made of birthday boy, and no sauce given. I have been to other locations where they did all those things. The only reason I give it a 2 star is for our server who did okay. The other thing is my order of wings was not done as I ordered. I ordered my wings extra saucy/wet in the sauce I selected and got them dry with one side of sauce. It was a total of 7 of us so the ticket was pretty big and think it was a waste of money for the disappointment that it was. Will not be going to that location. The last issue was our server closed us out and to not make it more work I walked to the bar and tried ordering one more beer and the guy at the bar said I cannot serve you without ordering food. I was like I just ordered tons of food and guy did not care. I know DABC rules and laws and know you have to eat food to get served alcohol. It would have been my 3rd beer so I was not cut off. All the guy had to do was confirm with my server that we ate food and that I was not cut off. Do not go to this location!

We have been to several of these for college game day, etc...in other parts of the country. After grabbing a seat and ordering a beer we were informed about service, menus, etc...for 5 minutes as the waiter grabbed a seat at the table, and finally got to talk to each other while we waited 20 more minutes for the beer. Then we were hounded about what food we wanted to order, and finally ordered some wings to get the waiter off our back. Apparently that satisfied him as the attention and service went south from there....we had to wait 20-30 minutes each time to get another beer. After we ordered our third beer, 30 plus minutes passes, and then a manager comes out and has to verify we are not being over served. The bar is set up with fake taps and all the servers huddle in the corner waiting for the drinks. Appears they need half the servers and way more staff slinging drinks in the closet. Understand they are only a couple weeks into it and probably OK if you just want some expensive wings, but don't expect to go have a few beers and relax. BTW 4 beers and 12 wings $40
