Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I'm sad I didn't remember to take any pictures here. This was a nice, cheap, quick bite to eat of good pizza. I got the BBQ chicken pizza and a pepperoni slice. It was fast! The cashier was nice and I really enjoyed the soda machine (over 10 flavors). I will be coming back here again for a quick lunch or dinner.

The pizza is pretty good but watch the service. I came in and ordered a pizza, paid for it and was told it would be 15-20 minutes. 25 minutes later I asked how much longer it would be and the guy who took my order and my money said; "Oh, we didn't know you were here yet'????? What The?? I guess he though I was an incredible hologram. Then while I was still waiting a couple came in that called on the phone and ordered a pizza 30 minutes before. After paying for it they were told it would be 15-20 minutes, They said we were told that when we ordered it and it's still going to be another 15-20 minutes? They do have a happy hour deal on their slices of pizza in the afternoon, which by the slice is the only way I'll get it again.

Big slices of pizza. Wanted Hawaiin, but didn't have it on the offer, so I had meat lovers. I enjoyed it and will go back.

I stopped in for lunch to grab a slice but the price was so good that I got two. The guy running the counter was knowledgable and fast. I ordered a slice of the bbq chicken pizza and a slice of the salad pizza. The slices were HUGE. The bbq chicken was a really delicious, straightforward version with crispy bacon bites, tender chicken, onions, and a great bbq sauce. The salad pizza was RIDICULOUS and I want to eat it every day. Tons of fresh, delicious veggies with a balsamic glaze. It was AMAZE. The crust on both pizzas was great...soft but with a crunch on the bottom and not too thick. Loved this place and will definitely be back soon.

Not impressed, not even close. Got here for a quick bite to go and the young lady informed me the special was a ginormous slice of whatever pizza was there behind the ominous glass with a soft drink for under five bucks... Okay, sure! I asked to go and was given an oversized Meat Lovers pizza crawling over the edges of my Costco-brand restrautering nightmarish paper "plate". "May I have this covered?" "Oh? You wanted this to go?" "Yep." **Whips out sheet of aluminum that again, barely covers my pizza slice the size of a US Territory** (I had told her initially it was to go. So why the confusion? I will never know!) Slices was awkward. This supposed Meat Lovers was dreadful and made me wish I had gone to a place like Este instead (a slice is going to cost you about the same). By the time I got home (about 2 miles away), my pizza was cold and a sure 2-Star "Meh" experience. It's in a nice little area of Holladay. Around the afternoon, beware of tweens running around the sidewalks and walking through illegal paths of 2300 E! Children: Be Careful! Buyer: Beware!

Great Pizza slices. I've been here twice in a week and both times were good. I had the Margherita pizza the first time and the White pizza today. Nice crust and good toppings. The girl that took care of me there first time and the guy that helped me today were both very nice. Not sure about the heavy metal music playing today. Overall, a good pizza place but the place could use a thorough cleaning. The view behind the front counter is a big mess and the place would benefit from a little better care.

Pros: - cheap Cons: - reheated in a dinky oven: if you know anything about good pizza by the slice, you've got to reheat it at a super high temp. This slop didn't even have all of the cheese melted and was nearly room temp when I got it. - no slice menu: was great trying to explain what slices I wanted when I had nothing to go by than what they looked like - horrible layout: I had to squeeze by a group of people at a table to get to the soda machine that was all of the way in the back I'm baffled at how this place has 4 stars. The dough was super yeasty, pizza was undercooked, service was unresponsive (noon on a weekday you'd think they'd have someone other than an 8 year old kid as cashier). Went with work people. Won't be going back. There is way better pizza in Salt Lake. Don't waste your time.

So I have always known this location as Baskin Robbins but they have done a cute job changing it to a pizza joint. Plenty of tables to enjoy your slice. They have already pre made pizzas and they heat up the slices you want. Im sure the fresh ones are much better. On average I think most slices are around $3.25. The pizza is thin, NY style where you can fold but not greasy at all. A little too dry for my liking actually. Employee was a competent teenager, she was nice and you could tell she liked her job. I will try it again.
(4)Melanie D.
I had heard a lot about this place and was pretty amped to try it. I didn't follow my rule of "low expectations yields high rewards". I'm happy to say I did not leave disappointed. The pizza was fresh and the ingredients were even fresher. There was a steady flow of customers and they were handled expertly. The restaurant was clean and had that extra fancy new style of fountain drinks that Coca Cola does now. I highly recommend this place for anyone that is craving some delicious, non greasy and non franchise pizza!

My visit had the no-frills, just good pizza vibe. Just what I want when in my NY-style pizza take-out. Being 8.5 months pregnant, I had a craving for a straight-forward, greasy pepperoni pizza. Did Slices fulfill? Yep. Did Slices over-deliver in my expectations? Yep. We opted for the Pepperoni Olives, 19 incher. Was 2 slices sufficient? Yes. Did my husband opt for a third because he liked it so much? Yep. All the requirements for a good pie were nearly met, soft crust underneath, crispy edges(mostly), quality toppings and surprisingly not as greasy as their competition- Este. The sauce to toppings ratio is really what sold me though. I generally have to get an extra side of marinara and this was seriously a perfect ratio. What could have been better? 2 more minutes in the oven, several pieces needed a bit more brown goodness on the edges and my husband would have liked to have seen a few more olives. Lastly- Delivery. Please. I beg. Great addition to the heart of Holladay.

So I was the one that added Slices to Yelp. Unfortunately since I was an employee I wasn't able to write a review for them. Well my tenure at Slices ended today. And even though it was under undesirable circumstances, I'm still going to give them five stars. Why would I do that you ask? Because their food is unbelievable. Even after working there for almost a month and eating it daily, I'm still in love with it. I will still be a customer now that I'm not employed there. Really! Everyone should try this pizza. I want this place to succeed so badly because the food is so good and I don't want it to go away. So onto the nitty gritty. They don't do delivery. It's dine in or take out only. The location is awesome and they have outdoor patio furniture. You can go sit on 2300 East and eat your pizza and enjoy the autumn air (at least until it snows next week). What all can I say? Well the dough is made fresh daily. I know because I did that painstaking job which is an awesome workout for the forearms I might add. The sauce is made in store and is really good. It's a rich hearty sauce that's a touch zesty. The toppings are all fresh. And I mean really fresh. To give you an idea, I baked chicken every other day and then diced it up for the chicken pizzas. I chopped onions, green and red peppers, mushrooms, etc. Sausage is cooked in the store and chopped up. Seriously there is a LOT of prep work done every single day for their pizzas. I've even hand breaded chicken for the Chicken Parm pizza. The only thing that comes prepared is olives, roasted red peppers and artichoke hearts. Everything else is done fresh. The sizes are huge. They have 16" or 19" pizzas. To give you a comparison, Domino's large is 14". The only pizza I know of bigger in Utah is the 23" at The Pie. Their Calzones which are like $7 are monstrous and easily feed 2. You go in and can order by the slice or the pie. If you order a slice, they warm it up in the brick bottom oven. The slices are all reasonably priced at about $3.50 with tax per slice for specialty. That's 1/8 of a 19" so it's a HUGE slice for only $3. The pizzas are also cooked in a brick bottomed oven, not a conveyor belt standard one. So you get really crispy crust. The customer service is top notch too. That was grilled into us heavily when I started. Take care of the customers. Oh and they have a Coke Freestyle machine, the one with like 100+ flavors. Anyways. Please please please give these guys a try. Now that Gepetto's closed there is no real good pizza in Holladay. Don't let them go away. Oh and try the Salad pizza! I'm a devout me-gan. I love my meat and their Salad pizza is my favorite by far which surprised me. It has Artichoke Hearts, Olives, Roasted Red Peppers, Diced Tomatoes, Onions, Spinach, Kalmatta Olives and a Balsamic Glaze, all on a white garlic sauce with just a touch of cheese. It's actually a pretty healthy slice of pie and pretty damn tasty.

I just moved up to the Holladay area and was in search of a good pizza joint....this place does not disappoint! I placed my order and they had it ready for me when I came to pick it up 25 mins later. The bbq chicken was SO good! Definitely recommend it if it's your first time visiting this place. Can't wait to go back

Up until I wandered over here the other day, I wasn't aware that such an area existed in the city and I'm endlessly grateful to have found it, particularly at night and particularly during this season. Simply stunning. The outside decor of this place fit right in and if ever the motif of a "neighborhood slice joint" was in effect, it's here, with all the various window stuff up. Now, granted, the time I went was not when the pies were going to be at their best and the layout of the interior is a bit funky, but even the re-heated slices I had were pretty good, the meat lover's being borderline outstanding. The Hawaiian did less well... a lot less well, in fact and the cheese was also mostly just ok, but the crust on all of them is right along the lines of that infamous NY pizza. In fact, this place is probably the closest I've found overall in Salt Lake. The apple pie pizza thing they had for dessert was also truly excellent, probably the second best of the night. Service is very friendly and this place is far from expensive. I wish I could be in this area more to go here more (though my heart probably is happy it's otherwise), but it's well worth the drive. They do have a Coke Freestyle machine, as noted, but the mix was slightly off when we were there. While this is probably not the best overall pizza in Utah, I would definitely put it in the top 5 somewhere...overall great job, particularly given that they're putting these things out there by the slice, which takes a fair amount of finesse.

I love Pizza by the slice places and there are more and more popping up around SLC. Overall, I think this place is one of my favorites. Service has always been prompt with the exception of when I had to order a whole pizza for my family. We waited for what seemed like 25 minutes. Other than that I would say beware of the fact that you're pizza by the slice is limited by what they cook that day and if you want something else you have to order a whole pizza. The crust was crispy and the portions are pretty decent. Two slices for me is plenty.
(4)Kristin H.
The best pizza in SLC, Slices is unequivocally the closest to bklyn. Despite missing that perfect par-char (which I think comes from using ovens that have been seasoned for decades), there are other aspects that bring it home for me: the texture of the crust, the burn your face when the cheese hits it, the fact that they know that garlic powder is a must-have dry topping offering... There are now so many great offerings in that little corner of East Milcreek that I'm afraid it is difficult to choose amongst them when dining in the area. I guess I'll just have to keep frequenting all of them. Sigh. It's a hard life.

Great happy hour!! $2 slices! Good service and good ny style thin pizza. Best pizza place we've found in the valley so far.
(5)Alex G.
So we decided to try the place tonight, but we left because they were having a kids party and it is already a small place. Big turn off.
(1)Jenica O.
Ate here on Monday for lunch. Service was awesome! Ordered our slices and salads and had them on our table in a few minutes. I love the idea of being able to buy a slice - not a whole pizza. Especially if you like to try different flavors. ;) I had the veggie. It was the perfect amount of dough (thin but big piece) with just enough sauce and cheese and a ton of yummy veggies! My hubs tried the BBQ chicken. He is a huge critic of the classic pizza and said it was amazing! We both got side salads with Mama Kim's dressing combo on it - again, delic! I will definitely come back when I am in the area! Loved the fast service, chill music, and full belly I left with for a really reasonable price!
(5)Kathryn S.
We ordered a large pepperoni tonight for carry out. It was done exactly when they said and was still hot when I got home with it. It was GIGANTIC! I love the flavor of the sauce. The dough is good, too. And the cheese seems to be good quality. I didn't like the signage very much, and I obviously judged the book by its cover, because I wasn't expecting a lot. But I'm pleasantly surprised. We'll definitely be ordering from here again.
(5)Shane M.
Excellent pizza by the slice. I tried the Meat Lovers and the Buffalo Chicken. Want to come back and try a Calazone.
(5)Rob H.
I'm stoked to have another great fast food option in Holladay! Everything is made fresh in the store, the pizza is great and the slices are enormous. I haven't tried them all yet but my favorites so far are the margherita, pepperoni jalapeño, and the meat lovers. Sounds like I need to try to the salad pizza.
(4)Greg P.
This place reminds me of mom and pop pizza places when I was younger. It's the best pizza I've had in a long time, and the bonus is it's super inexpensive. It's a nice little place with friendly employees where you just walk in, pick your slice, grab a coke, throw on some parmesan and red pepper flakes and enjoy. I like a pizza with a thick soft crust on the edge and a thin and just a little crispy crust on the bottom. They don't overdo it on the sauce but they give you plenty of cheese and toppings. Somewhere along the way we lost our high quality, low price little pizza joints in Utah and I'm glad to see them coming back.
(5)Terry M.
Took the family for Tuesday Magic Night. Kids loved the magician and the balloon animal artist. Pizza was awesome. Had pepperoni, meat lovers, and the potato/bacon. Slices are BIG and kids filled up on one each. If we lived here, would definitely be back.
(5)Melinda H.
This is the best pizza I have eaten in the SLC area. I live within walking distance to this place and just tried it for the first time last night. The dough was perfectly cooked and the ingredients are authentic and high quality. Can't ask more from a little shop in Holladay!
(5)Brian L.
I stopped in for lunch today and ordered a calzone. It was huge and only $7, but it was VERY doughy. I've definitely had better.
(3)Gary C.
I'm a huge fan of pizza in New York City. This place is one of the better places I've been in Salt Lake City. Ordered a full pie; pepperoni mushroom it was excellent. Haven't tried the slices but the fresh-made whole pizza was great.

My wife liked it more than I did, I would give three stars and she would give four, so we'll round up. The staff was really friendly, pizza was decent.

So we decided to try the place tonight, but we left because they were having a kids party and it is already a small place. Big turn off.

Excellent pizza by the slice. I tried the Meat Lovers and the Buffalo Chicken. Want to come back and try a Calazone.

Took the family for Tuesday Magic Night. Kids loved the magician and the balloon animal artist. Pizza was awesome. Had pepperoni, meat lovers, and the potato/bacon. Slices are BIG and kids filled up on one each. If we lived here, would definitely be back.

This is the best pizza I have eaten in the SLC area. I live within walking distance to this place and just tried it for the first time last night. The dough was perfectly cooked and the ingredients are authentic and high quality. Can't ask more from a little shop in Holladay!

I stopped in for lunch today and ordered a calzone. It was huge and only $7, but it was VERY doughy. I've definitely had better.
